A Study on Technology Acceptance Factors for Business Revenue of u-Health System (u-Health 시스템의 비즈니스 수익을 위한 기술수용 요인 연구)

  • The objective of this research is to get the lesson of the policy by searching the factors of technology acceptance focused on u-Health system. For the purpose of this research, this study presented the concept of u-Health and literature review associated with technology acceptance. Also, this research analyzed the factors affecting 'acceptance of u-Health system'. As a result of the analysis, the first factor affecting acceptance of u-health system is 'self-efficacy' and the second factor is 'connecting'. These results showed characteristics of the innovative aspects and the 'anytime and anywhere' in the ubiquitous concept. Therefore, considering these factors when developing with the priority of u-health system will be able to increase the likelihood of business revenue.

  • Due to the convergence between digital devices and the development of wireless communication technology, bit-signal sensor miniaturization, building an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) which is a digital version of a paper chart that contains all of a patient's medical history and the information of Electronic Health Record (EHR), Ubiquitous healthcare (u-Healthcare) that can monitor their health status and provide personal healthcare service anytime and anywhere. Also, the appearance of cloud computing technology is one of the factors that accelerate the development of u-healthcare service. However, if the individual information to be used maliciously during the u-healthcare service utilization, leads to serious problems directly related to the individual's life because if it goes beyond the level of simple health screening and treatment, it may not provide accurate and reliable healthcare services. For this reason, we analyzed a variety of security issues related to u-healthcare service in cloud computing environment and described about directions of secure health information sharing system construction. In addition, we suggest the future developmental direction for th activation of u-healthcare industry.

  • In recent years the combination of IT and BT for U-Healthcare Medical Services has attracted popular attention as an alternative for solving health problems due to aging issue. Active oxygen as free radicals causes unstable state of the body resulting to other disease on which approximate 90% of the diseases are associated with active oxygen. The severity is even higher along with increasing age. Therefore, there is a need for systematic management of active oxygen saturation for the elderly and chronic patients. In this paper, the data about active oxygen measurements from the body measurement is sent to the data storage of medical facilities by the service provider. Medical information is measured by devices provided complying with the standard, support and information using Bluetooth communication. Users can check their health status themselves using the proposed system through 3G/4G mobile devices like smart phone to medical institutions in which the smart phone act as a gateway for medical data transferred from patient to medical institutions and vice versa. Users can get and experience a diagnosis and effective U-Environmental Health Services from Medical institutions anywhere using the proposed built system.

  • As the interest on healthcare area in pursuit of well-being, health etc is increasing, u-Healthcare service that can monitor the condition of oneself's health anytime & anywhere is getting an attention. The existing health information system is consist of structure supporting the storage of estimation value and just simple display. But this needs to get a harmonious interaction to provide the health information exactly and speedily for efficient condition confirmation and diagnosis in health information system, In relation to this, this study proposed the developmental contents about visualization engine providing the beuer information discrimination and more user-friendly in various service of u-Healthcare.

An Implementation of a u-Health Service Space Based on Sensor Network (센서 네트워크 기술에 기반한 유헬스 서비스 공간 구현)

  • In this paper, a sensor network system for providing u-health services is suggested and is implemented. It steadily collects biological data of resident people and automatically detects emergency situations. LEID (Lighting Embedded Information Device) nodes are the most essential component of the sensor network. They embed sensor network technology into lightening devices which are indispensable to most living spaces. To verify practicality of the proposed u-health system, a prototypical system is realized in the Smart Home Industrialization Support Center at Kookmin University, and is tested within many practical circumstances. The proposed u-health system can be used at various places where many patients are continuously cared.

  • Recently, the development of u-City and u-City services have been actively pursued by individual local government bodies in South Korea. This study focuses on the development of u-Health service, one of the services of u-City, by studying u-Health services in development (domestic and foreign) and by analyzing and proposing the communication infrastructure required to provide such services. Mainly, this study will focus on analyzing the current trend in personal mobile device based u-Health services domestically and internationally, and propose a new type of u-Health service, u-Diet service. The study will introduce the architecture, service scenario, technologies, characteristics, and the business model for the u-Diet service. It is expected that this study will provide the guideline for developing new u-Health services.

A Study on Using U-Service to Strengthen Urban Competitiveness

  • This study examined correlations between U-Service for U-City and assessment indicators for urban competitiveness. The results of this study show that U-Service is used as a means of strengthening urban competitiveness in six types of cities, despite the differences in degree of contribution. The proper use of U-Service in Safety & Health City and Vitality (Economy) City has significantly contributed to strengthening the competitiveness of such cities. Of the assessment items for urban competitiveness, common items and Culture City type show that U-Service has not contributed much to strengthening urban competitiveness. The analysis shows that because common items are part of the assessment items for urban policies, these items are not suitable to the character of a U-City that implements U-Service through intelligent physical facilities. On the other hand, U-Service related to the Culture City type is relatively less developed. This study found out that U-Service could be used to reinforce urban competitiveness.

  • 최근 생명 연장과 삶의 질에 관한 많은 관심에 따라서 의료 부문에 있어서도 Ubiquitous 환경을 도입하는 노력이 시도되고 있다. 그 중 Ubiquitous Hospital은 여러 가지 병원 서비스 부분의 편의성을 제공하고자 분야로써 이것을 이용하여 시간과 장소의 제약 없이 각종 의료서비스와 건강관리를 제공 받을 수 있는 Ubiquitous Healthcare 서비스에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 Ubiquitous Healthcare 서비스 제공 system 구현을 위한 framework을 제안한다. 이 framework에서는 사용자가 되는 의사와 환자에 적합한 인터페이스를 제공하고 환자에 대한 추적 관찰과 증상의 판단 및 환자 진료시의 지원 서비스를 제공한다. 또한 보험회사나 병원과 같은 외부시스템과 연계하여 필요한 데이터의 공유가 가능하도록 한다. 그리고 제안된 framework를 이용하여 전립선 환자를 위한 BPH 환자관리 시스템을 구현한다.

  • 육상의 U-health서비스와 달리 해상이라는 특수한 지리적 요건으로 인해 사용 가능한 통신기술이 제한적이며, 선박이라는 특수한 공간에서 발생하는 진동과 소음 등 환경적 요소와 의사 및 의료팀의 부재에 따른 의료지식이 현저히 부족한 의료 관리자 및 일반인이 쉽게 시스템을 사용가능하도록 사용성을 고려하여 해상의 선박 및 플랜트 등에서 원격으로 의료서비스 지원이 가능하도록 해양환경에 최적화된 원격의료시스템을 개발하였다.

  • 현대 생활에서 u-Health는 특히 우리나라에서 Ubiquitous 와 Wellness의 개념을 접목하여 구현 하고 있으며, 현재 앞선 IT기술과 활성화된 Network 기반의 환경을 활용하여 발전된 결과를 도출 하려 하고 있다. 하지만 u-Health 장비 또는 프로그램에서 3D시뮬레이션 기법이 어떻게 쓰이면 그 활용도가 증가 되고, 올바른 활용 방법인가에 대해서 연구는 시작 단계라고 할 수 있다. 이에 현재 가정용 게임기와 일부 기능성 컨텐츠에서 쓰이는 3D 시뮬레이션 기법에서 체력증진을 위한 단계별 학습법과 신체 부분별 시뮬레이션에 효과적인 방법을 개발 정형화 시키고 시뮬레이션시 사용자와 가상의 시뮬레이터간의 상호작용 시 발생하는 문제점을 파악하고 해결 방안을 제시 하도록 하며, 3차원 3D기법 과 S/W 를 통하여 상호 작용을 할 때 체계적인 건강증진 방법과 건강관리방법을 제시 하고, 3차원 시뮬레이터를 활용 할 때 효과적인 항목과 결과 데이터를 통하여 발전적인 활용 방안을 제시 한다.
