In the Korea, railroad accidents result in about 5.4 railroad run-off crashes every year and account for approximately 93 percent of all railroad accident frequency. Despite the number, quantification of the possible countermeasure has been limited and also railroad safety control after private management for railroad has not been established. Therefore, this study provides some initial insight into the important safety problem by introducing some example, including some detailed safety regulations in both British and U.S. to develop appropriate railroad safety management system.

In this paper, we proposed a system to raise gas safety management by using the wireless communication module and intelligent gas safety appliances. Our designed systems configure a micom-gas meter, an automatic extinguisher, sensors, and a wallpad. A micom-gas-meter monitors gas flow, gas pressure, and earthquake. An automatic fire extinguisher checks gas(combustible) leaks and temperature of $100^{\circ}C$ and $130^{\circ}C$. Sensors measure smoke and CO gas. In our novel system, a micom-gas meter cut off inner valve with warnings, an automatic fire extinguisher cut off middle valve and spray extinguishing materials, and sensors generate signals for smoke and CO when occurring gas risk. Gas safety appliances and sensors takes safety measures, and transmit those signal to a wallpad. The wallpad again transmit signal like events to a control server. Users can connect web pages for gas safety through B-ISDN and control and manage them. We hereby devised scenarios for gas safety and risk management, and demonstrated their effectiveness through experiments.

All over the nation, a lot of industrial complex utilize gas as their energy source. Possibilities are fire, explosion, and leakage could happen any time in these large complexes. To prevent these tragic accidents and to minimize the damage when the accident occurs, the development of diagnostic technology for these facilities is imperative. The safety check is conducted on an individual and partial basis, currently. Accordingly, the accumulation and improvement of the safety management technology is necessary in order to make all the different checking techniques and management systems compatible, since checking processes, result interpretation techniques, and subsequent prognoses are not the same. The program provides damage scenarios from gas leakage. The output enables policy makers to predict the degree of infliction. Through this program, engineers are able to design an effective gas safety program to operate and maintain ubiquitous gas facilities.

There is a shround of mystery surronnding Gaudi. In all probability, the first mist preventing us from gaining acess to his work is the intrinstic mysteriousness of all genius and, at the end of the day, of all human spirit. The situation is complicated by the well-known fact that Gaudi wished to creat an aura of silence around his persona, while, at the same time as maintaining this secretiveneness - in other words, the annihiliation of his fundamental values-gave expression and symbolisation to his moods and incerdible mental power. On a piece of land on the Muntanya Pelada, in the Barcelona district of La Salut, Eusebi G$\ddot{u}$ell Wanted to build an urbanisation inspired by the concepe of the garden city. in this he sought to return to nature, health and an escape from the insalubrous industrial city. Gaudi worked on the construction of this park between 1900 and 1914, and even moved his home there in 1906. An outstanding feature of park G$\ddot{u}$ell is the integration of architecture with nature. In other to save the natural slopes, Gaudi built viaducts from brick pillars, which he covered with stone obtained from the excavation.

The fatigue crack propagation rate has so far been measured by the effective stress intensity factor range Δ K/sub eff/. But no research has been done to study how much the crack opening ratio influences the expectation of the fatigue crack propagation. Therefore, this paper evaluates of the crack opening ratio on the fatigue crack propagation life by using the method of parameter sensitivity study. Summarizing the result ; ( 1 ) When the crack opening ratio U' is high, the effect of U' gets larger than any other except for the material factor m. But when U' is low, the effect is also diminished. Therefore, the selection of the lowest value possible is desirable in the evaluation of life. (2) When the value of the material factor m is high, the effect of crack opening ratio U' is increased, at the same time the effect of the other parameters also increased wholly. The effect of material factor m itself on life is high, but in case the material factor m is high, that the effect of each parameter on life get higher is unique. In designing, better attention to the material selection should be drawn. (3) In case the stress ratio R gets smaller, the effect of crack opening ratio U' is unchangeable. But the effect of R itself remarkably decreases, and the effect of material factor m somewhat decreases.

The gram-positive bacterium Staphylococcus aureus is a common cause of abscesses, sinusitis and food poisoning. The emergence of antibiotic-resistant strains has caused significant clinical issues worldwide. The HslU-HslV complex was first identified as a prokaryotic homolog of eukaryotic proteasomes. HslU is an unfoldase that mediates the unfolding of the substrate proteins, and it works with the protease HslV in the complex. To date, the protein complex has been mostly studied in gram-negative bacteria. In this study, we report the purification and crystallization of the full-length HslU from S. aureus. The crystal diffracted X-rays to a $3.5{\AA}$ resolution, revealing that the crystals belong to space group $P2_1$, with unit cell parameters of a = 166.5, b = 189.6, $c=226.6{\AA}$, and ${\beta}=108.1^{\circ}$. We solved the phage problem by molecular replacement using the structure of HslU from Haemophilus influenzae as a search model. The cell content analysis with this molecular replacement solution revealed that 24 molecules are contained in the asymmetric unit. This structure provides insight into the structural and mechanistic difference of the HslUV complex of gram-positive bacteria.
