다중층 음향 재료의 투과손실 예측과 측정 (Prediction and Measurement of Sound Transmission Loss for Multi-layered Acoustical Materials)

  • In this paper, the predictions and measurements of sound transmission loss(STL) are discussed for various types of acoustical materials and carpets. Random incidence sound transmission losses are measured by the sound intensity method. The in-house software HONUS2005 is used to predict TL and estimate the various physical properties such as the flow resistivity, the structure factor, the porosity, the Possion's ratio, and etc. After this estimation, various multi-layered materials with a steel plate are measured and predicted. In particular, Carpets are assumed to be membranes to predict acoustical performance. To confirm this assumption, double and triple-layered cases are also observed including two different kinds of carpets.

  • Precision agriculture relies on information technology, whose precondition is providing real-time and accurate information. It depends on various kinds of advanced sensors, such as environmental temperature and humidity, wind speed, light intensity, and other types of sensors. Currently, it is a hot topic how to collect accurate information, the main raw data for agricultural experts, monitored by these sensors timely. Most existing work in WSNs addresses their fundamental challenges, including power supply, limited memory, processing power and communication bandwidth and focuses entirely on their operating system and networking protocol design and implementation. However, it is not easy to find the self-localization capability of wireless sensor networks. Because of constraints on the cost and size of sensors, energy consumption, implementation environment and the deployment of sensors, most sensors do not know their locations. This paper provides maximum likelihood estimators for sensor location estimation when observations are time-of arrival (TOA) range measurement.

  • Vibration and deformation sensing control of lightweight structures using optical fiber sensor technology is introduced in this presentation. This paper shows several examples of vibration control and deformation estimation for structures using these optical fiber sensor systems. Among various optical fiber sensors, in this paper, two types of optical fiber sensors, Fabry-Perot Interferometer(EFPI) and Fiber Bragg Grating(FBG) sensors, are mainly dealt with. Fiber optic sensors show many advantages over conventional strain gages for the measurement of vibration and deformation of lightweight structures.

Multi-frequency 자극 방식을 이용한 생체 전기 임피던스 측정 시스템 설계 및 경혈의 전기적 특이성에 대한 고찰 (Development of Multi-Frequency Impedance Measurement System for Acupuncture Points and Preliminary Report of Measurement Results)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this paper was to suggest new diagnostic method that was to supersede the estimation of electrical properties at acupoints. Thus, we developed the multi- frequencies bioelectrical impedance measurement system so as to analyze the state of bio-ions in body fluid as body compositions, not skin impedance at acupoint. Methods : At low frequency, the current does not penetrate the cell membrane and at high frequency, the current passes through both intracellular and extracellular fluid because of the decreas of cell membrane impedance. To confirm the reflection of composition in extracellular fluid or intracellular fluid of segment such as acupoint, the system was developed to detect the acupoint potential between adjacent two points in the area of LU3, LU4 and LU9 using 5,50 and 200KHz. Results : The detected acupoint potential has been decreased according to elevation of frequency. As a result of correlation of left/right identical acupoint, we observed a high correlation of three types of acupoint potential at multi-frequencies. Moreover, we observed the low correlation at 5KHz, and that was a significant factor to be considered as unbalanced relationship of identical acupoints. Conclusions : On the basis of meridian theoretical point of view, we may infer the acupoint's physiological composition using the multi-frequencies bioelectrical impedance measurement system.

CPX 및 Pass-by 계측을 이용한 단독 주행 차량의 음향파워 평가 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation Method of Sound Power for a Travelling Vehicle Using CPX and Pass-by Measurements)

  • This paper presents a novel method to determine sound power level(PWL) emitted by a travelling vehicle for road traffic noise simulation. The PWL is evaluated by the equivalent sound pressure level (SPL) measured by close proximity method and the sound power correction factor derived from the maximum SPL measured by pass-by method and the propagation attenuation of vehicle noise during the pass-by measurement. Using the method, we derive the empirical formula for PWL estimation in 1/1-octave and overall frequency bands for 8 vehicles (automobile, SUV, small truck, large bus, trailer, 3 dump trucks) tested at two road surfaces (dense graded asphalt, 30mm transverse tinning concrete) of Korean highway test road. The suggested approach, if securing sufficient data to represent the acoustic characteristics of all vehicle types, has il strong merit to be able to evaluate sound power levels for any combination of vehicle categories and traffic volumes.

배관내 압력변동 신호를 이용한 유량 추정 방법 연구 (A Study on Flow Rate Estimation Using Pressure Fluctuation Signals in Pipe)

  • In nuclear power plants, the flow rate information is a major indicator of the performance of rotating equipment such as pumps, and is a very important one required for facility operation and maintenance. To measure a flow rate, various types of methods have been developed and used. Among them, the differential pressure type using orifice and the direct doppler type using ultrasonic waves are the most commonly used. However, these flow rate measurement methods have limitations in installation, conditions and status of the measuring part, etc. To solve this problem, we have studied a new technique for measuring flow rate from scratch. In this paper, we have devised a technique to estimate the flow rate using an average moving velocity of large-scale eddy in turbulence that occurs in the piping flow field. The velocity of the large-scale eddy can be measured using the pressure fluctuation signals on the inner surface of the pipe. To estimate the flow rate, at first a cross-correlation function is applied to the two pressure fluctuation signals located at different positions in the down stream for calculating the time delay between the moving eddies. In order to validate the proposed flow rate estimation method, CFD analyses for the internal turbulence flow in pipe are conducted with a fixed flow condition, where the pressure fluctuation signals on the pipe inner surface are simulated. And then the average flow velocity of the large scale eddy is to be estimated. The estimated flow velocity is turned out to be similar to the fixed (known) flow rate.

신경망을 이용한 소프트웨어 개발노력 추정 (Software Development Effort Estimation Using Neural Network Model)

  • 소프트웨어공학에서 소프트웨어 측정분야는 30년 이상 수많은 연구가 있어 왔으나 아직까지 구체적인 소프트웨어 비용추정 모델이 없는 실정이다. 만약 소프트웨어 비용-개발노력을 측정하려면 소프트웨어 규모를 추정해야 한다. 많은 소프트웨어 척도가 개발되었지만 가장 일반적인 척도가 LOC(line of code)와 FPA(Function Point Analysis)이다. FPA는 소프트웨어 규모를 측정하는데 LOC를 사용할 때의 단점을 극복할 수 있는 기법이다. 본 논문은 FP와 기능 구성요소 형태들로 측정된 소프트웨어 규모로 소프트웨어 개발 노력을 추정하는 신경망 모델을 제안한다. 24개 소프트웨어 개발 프로젝트 사례연구를 통해 적합한 신경망 모델을 제시하였다. 또한, 희귀분석 모델과 신경망 모델을 비교하여 신경망 모델의 추정 정확성이 보다 좋음을 보였다.

컨테이너 항만 환경에서 이동형 리더와 동선 정보를 이용한 다단계 위치 인식 시스템 (Multi-step Location System using Mobile Reader and Trajectory Information in Container Port Environments)

  • 본 논문에서는 컨테이너 항만 환경에서 적용 가능한 자산 추적 시스템을 제안한다. 컨테이너 항만 환경은 우선 통신을 저해하는 철제 장애물이 산재하기 때문에, 태그 대 다수 리더 간 가시선 통신을 필요로 하는 기존 태그-리더 기반의 위치 추적 시스템의 적용이 힘들다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해, 제안하는 시스템은 기존 리더뿐 아니라 이동체에 리더를 추가하고, 2단계의 위치 추적을 함으로써 태그와 다수 리더 간의 정보를 취득한다. 또한 소수의 거리 정보를 측정하였을 때, 항만 자산의 동선 정보를 함께 이용하는 방법으로 태그 위치 추정 성공률과 정확도를 높인다. 그리고 제안하는 시스템의 성능 검증을 위해 태그, 리더 및 위치 엔진을 구현하였고, 실제 항만 터미널에 설치하여 운용하였다. 그 결과 성공률과 정확도가 확연히 개선되어 실제 환경에서 운용 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다.

한국의 세 개의 다른 식생기능형태에서의 순복사 추정 (Estimation of Net Radiation in Three Different Plant Functional Types in Korea)

  • 순복사는 지표와 대기간의 생물학적/물리적 과정을 일으키는 주요 원인이며 순복사에 대한 정확한 정보는 기후 예측뿐만 아니라 수자원관리에 중요한 역할을 한다. 그러나 실제 순복사 관측을 하는 지점은 매우 적으며 일반적으로 순복사는 단순 경험방정식으로부터 추정된다. 이 연구에서는 한국의 세 개의 다른 식생기능형태(예, 혼합림, 침엽수림, 그리고 농경지)에서 순복사를 추정하는 두 방법을 제시하였다. 첫번째 방법은 순복사와 전천일사의 관계를 선형회귀식으로 나타낸 방법이고 두번째 방법은 복사수지방정식을 사용한 방법이다. 세 개의 다른 식생기능형태에서 관측된 2008년 자료를 두 방법에 적용하여 순복사를 추정하였다. 일년 자료를 사용하여 선형회귀식을 적용한 결과, 전천일사에 대한 순복사의 비율은 혼합림에서는 70%, 침엽수림에서는 79%, 그리고 농경지에서는 64%를 보였다. 이는 다른 식생기능형태에 따라 순복사와 전천일사의 관계가 달라짐을 보였다. 장파복사를 고려한 복사수지 방정식의 경우, 순복사 추정이 다소 향상되었다. 두 방법 모두 관측된 순복사와 추정된 순복사가 잘 일치함을 보였으며 이는 두 방법을 사용하여 순복사를 추정할 수 있음을 보여준다.
