P300-기반 숨긴정보검사에서 자극유사성이 P300의 진폭에 미치는 영향 (Effects of stimulus similarity on P300 amplitude in P300-based concealed information test)

  • 본 연구에서는 P300-기반 숨긴정보검사(P300 CIT)에서 검사자극들 간의 물리적 유사성이 P300 진폭과 검사의 효율성에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 사고를 당하여 자신의 이름을 기억하지 못한다고 허위로 주장하는 허위기억상실을 가정한 상황에서, 실험참여자의 이름을 숨긴정보(관련자극)로 사용하여 P300 CIT를 실시하였다. 이 검사에서 실험참여자의 과제는 목표자극과 나머지 자극을 변별하는 것이었다. 한 집단의 실험참여자들은 목표자극과 관련자극, 무관련자극들 간의 물리적 유사성이 낮은 조건(저난도 조건)에서 검사를 받았으며, 다른 한 집단의 실험참여자들은 검사자극들 간의 물리적 유사성이 높은 조건(고난도 조건)에서 검사를 받았다. 기저선-정점 P300 진폭을 측정치로 사용한 경우, 난이도 조건과 자극유형의 상호작용효과가 $\alpha$=.10 수준에서 유의하였다(p=.052). 저난도 조건에서는 관련자극과 무관련자극 간의 P300 진폭차이가 유의하였으며, 고난도 조건에서는 관련자극과 무관련자극 간의 P300 진폭차이가 유의하지 않았다. 정점-정점 P300 진폭을 측정치로 사용한 경우, 난이도 조건과 자극유형의 상호작용효과가 유의하지 않았으며, 저난도 조건과 고난도 조건 모두에서 관련자극과 무관련자극간의 P300 진폭차이가 유의하였다. 기저선-정점 P300 진폭을 이용한 개인별 판단결과, 저난도 조건과 고난도 조건 간의 정확판단율 차이가 유의하지 않았으며, 정점-정점 P300 진폭을 이용한 개인별 판단결과도 저난도 조건과 고난도 조건 간의 정확판단율 차이가 유의하지 않았다. 그러나, 난이도 조건 간의 정확판단율 차이가 기저선-정점 P300 진폭을 이용한 경우보다 정점-정점 P300 진폭을 이용한 경우에 더 작은 경향이 있었다. 이러한 결과는 검사자극들 간의 물리적 유사성이 높을 때에도 P300 CIT의 효율성이 크게 감소하지 않는다는 것을 의미한다.

  • From the assumption that an individual's working memory capacity is limited, the cognitive load theory is concerned with providing adequate instructional design so as to avoid overloading the learner's working memory. Based on the cognitive load theory, this study aimed to provide implications for effective problem-based collaborative teaching and learning design by analyzing the level of middle school students' cognitive load which is perceived according to the problem types(short answer type, narrative type, project) in the process of collaborative problem solving in middle school function part. To do this, this study analyzed whether there is a relevant difference in the level of cognitive load for the problem type according to the math achievement level and gender in the process of cooperative problem solving. As a result, there was a relevant difference in the task burden and task difficulty perceived according to the types of problems in both first and second graders in middle schools students. and there was no significant difference in the cognitive effort. In addition, the efficacy of task performance differed between first and second graders. The significance of this study is as follows: in the process of collaborative problem solving learning, which is most frequently used in school classrooms, it examined students' cognitive load according to problem types in various aspects of grade, achievement level, and gender.

트리즈를 이용한 재난대응 특수목적기계의 양팔용 작업장치 설계 (Design of Attachments for Dual Arm of Disaster-Responding Special Function Machinery by TRIZ)

  • This paper presents the design of attachments for dual arms of disaster responding heavy machine. The heavy machine handles a variety of tasks such as cutting, shredding, picking and moving in unstructured environment. Despite the need for rapid response, the heavy machine has difficulty in repeatedly replacing the attachment depending on the task. Thus, we propose a method to solve this physical and functional contradiction relation by using TRIZ separation principles. Above all, the existing equipment and the required working scenarios were surveyed and summarized in order to separate the attachments functionally for right-handed, left-handed and two-handed operation. Then, we proposed the design directions and conceptual design as following: multi function type attachment A, for precise operation and various operations; grab type attachment B, for grasping irregular objects and auxiliary device for both arms to handle bulky objects.

MEASURING THE INFLUENCE OF TASK COMPLEXITY ON HUMAN ERROR PROBABILITY: AN EMPIRICAL EVALUATION

  • A key input for the assessment of Human Error Probabilities (HEPs) with Human Reliability Analysis (HRA) methods is the evaluation of the factors influencing the human performance (often referred to as Performance Shaping Factors, PSFs). In general, the definition of these factors and the supporting guidance are such that their evaluation involves significant subjectivity. This affects the repeatability of HRA results as well as the collection of HRA data for model construction and verification. In this context, the present paper considers the TAsk COMplexity (TACOM) measure, developed by one of the authors to quantify the complexity of procedure-guided tasks (by the operating crew of nuclear power plants in emergency situations), and evaluates its use to represent (objectively and quantitatively) task complexity issues relevant to HRA methods. In particular, TACOM scores are calculated for five Human Failure Events (HFEs) for which empirical evidence on the HEPs (albeit with large uncertainty) and influencing factors are available - from the International HRA Empirical Study. The empirical evaluation has shown promising results. The TACOM score increases as the empirical HEP of the selected HFEs increases. Except for one case, TACOM scores are well distinguished if related to different difficulty categories (e.g., "easy" vs. "somewhat difficult"), while values corresponding to tasks within the same category are very close. Despite some important limitations related to the small number of HFEs investigated and the large uncertainty in their HEPs, this paper presents one of few attempts to empirically study the effect of a performance shaping factor on the human error probability. This type of study is important to enhance the empirical basis of HRA methods, to make sure that 1) the definitions of the PSFs cover the influences important for HRA (i.e., influencing the error probability), and 2) the quantitative relationships among PSFs and error probability are adequately represented.

일부 치위생과 학생의 성격선호지표와 성취목표, 학업적 자기효능감, 시험불안의 관계 (Relation of personality preference, and achievement goal orientation, academic self-efficacy, test anxiety in selecting dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to identify correlation of personality preference, and achievement goal orientation, academic self-efficacy, test anxiety in selecting college students who majored in dental hygiene. This study also provides a basic data regarding personality for education of dental hygiene students. Methods : 192 students of S college who majored in dental hygiene were asked to answer the MBTI GS form, academic self-efficacy scale, achievement goal orientation scale and test anxiety scale during the month of May, 2009. The total of 160 copies were analyzed. MANOVA, independent-sample t-test were conducted. Results : 1. Looking at distribution of personality preference type of the students, extroversion type (63.1%) was more than introversion type(36.9%), sensing type(87.5%) was more than intuition type(12.5%), thinking type(54.4%) was more than feeling type(45.6%), judging type(59.4%) was more than perceiving type (40.6%) 2. In subscale of achievement goal orientation, performance approach level was higher in extroversion type than in introversion type. Performance avoidance level was lower in extroversion type than in introversion type. However, other preference personality type didn't show any significant difference in subscale of achievement goal orientation. 3. Academic self-efficacy was higher in extroversion type and thinking type than in introversion type and feeling type. There wasn't any significant difference between judging type and perceiving type, sensing type and intuition type. 4. In subscale of academic self-efficacy, confidence was higher in extroversion type than in introversion type. Task difficulty preference and self-regulated efficacy were higher in thinking type than in feeling type. 5. There wasn't any significant difference between personality preference type and test anxiety. Conclusions : Professor should find out difference between students through using information of preference personality and develop a teaching strategy that can encourage strength and make up weakness of each students.

A Study on the Relationship among the MBTI Personality Types, Self-Efficacy, Major Satisfaction and Freshmen's Academic Achievements in Airline Service department

  • The purpose of this paper was to identify the relationship among the MBTI personality types, self-efficacy, major satisfaction and freshmen's academic achievements in airline service department. To this end, a survey was conducted in 113 university freshmen of airline service department from June 18 to 29, 2018. And the data were collected their MBTI results and GPA scores. MBTI results used to analyze student's personality type. The collected data were analyzed using 'SPSS Statistics 21.0'. Analysis methods such as frequency analysis, cross-tabulation analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis were used. The findings of this study are as follows. The type of personality in the airline service department affects the self - efficacy such as self - control efficacy, confidence, preference of the task difficulty, and also affects the major satisfaction and the academic achievement. The self - efficacy affects the major satisfaction and the academic achievement, and also the major satisfaction can affect academic achievement. Therefore, by developing an effective teaching strategies that fits students' personality type characteristics, and by inducing motivation to learn, raising self-efficacy naturally will lead to higher major satisfaction and academic achievements.

중국인 학습자의 한국어 종성 지각에 대한 종단 연구 (Perception of Korean coda consonants by Chinese learners of Korean: A one-year longitudinal study)

  • The purpose of this study aimed to examine the perceptual pattern of the Korean coda consonants by Chinese learners of Korean. Given that Mandarin allows only two nasals (/n, ŋ/) in the coda position, it was predicted that Chinese learners of Korean had difficulty in discriminating Korean coda consonants. In the experiment, the subjects were 21 beginner-level Chinese learners of Korean. They participated in the discrimination task four times a year in which they were asked to choose the right Korean coda consonants after listening the word from Korean native speakers. The results demonstrated that 1) Chinese learners of Korean improved their perception of the Korean coda consonants. 2) But Chinese learners of Korean performed differently according to the type of Korean coda consonants. Korean consonants /n, p, k, m/ showed significant differences, but /l, ŋ, t/ did not.

쉐이딩 링 타입 교류 솔레노이드의 전자기적 해석 (Electromagnetic Analysis of a Shading Ring Type AC Solenoid)

  • A shading ring in an AC solenoid plays an important role in reducing vibration and humming sound. Estimation of performance of the shading ring placed in a stator pole of the AC solenoid is not an easy task due to the difficulty in measurement of the current and flux linkage of the shading ring. In this paper, dynamic performance of an AC solenoid with a shading ring is analyzed through the simulation using electromagnetic analysis software and the results are verified by simple AC and DC voltage tests. Both the simulation and experimental results show that the shading ring in the AC solenoid not only increases pull force, but also reduces operation time, vibration and humming sound.

Developing an Optical Testing Method for Space Telescopes

  • Next Generation Space Telescope (NGST) is under design study for proposed launch around 2008. It will take over the task of Hubble Space Telescope (HST) and provide much more detailed information about celestial objects. Present large telescopes both in space and on the ground contain aspheric mirrors, called Ritchey-Chretien type. As the size of the telescope becomes larger and the optical quality is requested to be higher, reaching the diffraction limit, more accurate optical testing methods are required. However, there are few testing methods which can achieve the required accuracy for aspheric optics, and none of them has achieved it with certainty. The failure of producing the primary mirror of the Hubble Space Telescope to meet specification is a good example. Moreover, testing aspheric mirrors of large convex form adds the difficulty to extreme. In this paper, space telescopes and large ground-based telescopes are surveyed and testing methods for aspheric optics are reviewed. a method of testing aspheric convex mirrors is suggested.

성격유형과 유발전위 연구 (A Study of Personality type & Evoked Potentials)

  • 최근 뇌 과학의 발달로 심리학의 다양한 이슈들을 뇌과학으로 설명하려는 노력들이 많이 시도되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 성격유형을 뇌과학으로 설명될 수 있는지 시도해보고자 하였다. 성격유형검사 중 MBTI를 토대로 하여 10대 청소년 190명에게 성격유형별 레이븐의 유사도형 구분과제를 실시하였다. 이 때 피험자에게 유발전위 뇌파를 검출하고 통계 분석하여 성격유형별간에 집중력의 차이가 있는지를 알아보았다. 또한 뇌파의 주파수별 분류를 통하여 어느 주파수대가 성격유형별간의 차이가 보이는지 알아보았다. 결론적으로 외향성과 내향성은 유사도형 구분과제를 수행하는 동안 두 집단 간의 집중력 차이가 나타났으며 M-Beta파와 Gamma파 및 H-Beta파에서 두 집단 간 차이가 나타났으며 감각형과 직관형은 쉬운 난이도 과제와 중간 난이도 과제에서 두 집단 간 집중력의 차이가 나타나는 경향성이 보였으며 주파수별 분류에서는 두 집단 간의 차이가 없었다. 사고형과 감정형은 과제를 수행하는 동안 두 집단 간 집중력의 차이가 나타났으며 뇌파 주파수별 분류에서는 H-Beta파에서만 차이가 있었다. 판단형과 인식형은 모든 과제와 주파수별 분류에서도 두 집단 간 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 기존 성격유형과 뇌파연구가 외향성과 내향성에 집중되어 있고 다양한 유형별 연구가 미비하였다. 따라서 난이도가 상, 중, 하의 세 가지로 분류된 유사도형 구분과제를 수행하는 동안 유발전위 뇌파를 통해 뇌파를 분석한 것은 본 연구의 의의라 할 수 있다.
