Mass production of resting egg of the rotifer, Brachionus plicatilis was carried out in 1 $m^3$ tank for L-type rotifer and in 1 $m^3$ and 4 $m^3$ tank for S-type rotifer. L-type rotifer was fed on concentrated Chlorella + baker's yeast and only baker's yeast for 15 days. S-type rotifer was fed on concentrated Chlorella in 1 $m^3$ tank for 7 days and frozen Chlorella + baker's yeast in 4 $m^3$ for $6\~8$ days. Total number of resting egg and number of resting egg from $10^8$ rotifers and 1 g dry weight diet for L-type rotifer fed on Chlorella + baker's yeast were $54.5{\times}10^6$ eggs, $30.5{\times}10^6$ eggs and $100{\times}10^3$ eggs, respectively. These were higher than those of rotifer fed on baker's yeast only. Total number of resting egg and number of resting egg from $10^8$ rotifers and 1 g dry weight diet for S-type rotifer fed on concentrated Chlorella in 1 $m^3$ tank were $50\~104{\times}10^6$ eggs, $47\~82{\times}10^6$ eggs and $136\~260{\times}10^3$ eggs, respectively. In 4 $m^3$ tank with frozen Chlorella + baker's yeast, these were $149\~567{\times}10^6$ eggs, $36\~123{\times}10^6$ eggs and $131\~338{\times}10^3$ eggs, respectively. This result suggests that S-type rotifer are better than L-type rotifer for the mass production of resting egg of the Korean rotifer.
The geographic distribution and variation for Rhinogobius brunneus were surveyed by means of allozymic and morphological analyses and it was revealed that the Korean populations of R. brunneus comprise three distinct types, Type-A, Type-B, and Type-C, which show considerable differentiation to a degree of interspecific level(Rogers' S(1972): $S_{A-B}$=0.631, $S_{A-C}$=0.628, $S_{B-C}$=0.661). In addition, no evidence of gene flow among the types was found at sympatric area and it is assumed that reproductive isolation is completed. Moreover there is microhabitat segregation according to the distance from river mouth among each types and which segregation was regarded as a factor to facilitate reproductive isolating mechanism. Therefore, based on the evidence presented above, these three types of R. brunneus are considered as typical discrete species.
The general characteristics of fine particle and meteorological analysis of high $PM_{10}$ concentration day which was over $100{\mu}g/m^3$ in busan were investigated for period of 2002 to 2006. The production and productivity of $C_3 and C_4$ type plants in Korea was studcied In the areas, in which the summer temperature is above $30^{\circ}C,;C_3$ type plants showed“M” type productivity curves exhibiting two peaks in spring and autumn, and C4 type plants showd “Bell” type productivity curves which show one peak in summer(Figs. 1,2,3,4,5). From the result of researching the standing crop of $C_3 and C_4$type plants dcuring August and September in which the standing crop reaches the highest peak, the dominant plants in the natural grass vegetation were almost all of $C_4$ type plants, showing the high standing crop, while the standing crop of $C_3$ type plants shows its high peak in the humid areas, riversides and dams.
Background: Airway resistance(Raw) is measured with the body plethysmograph by displaying the relationship between airflow and alveolar pressure($V/P_A$). If the resistance curve on $V/P_A$ tracing is curved or looped, the estimation of Raw is difficult. This study was designed to examine wheather there is any correlation between the shape of resistance curve and the clinical status and the pulmonary function of patients. Methods: The 146 pulmonary disease patients with increased Raw were included in this study. The shapes of resistance curves on $V/P_A$ tracing with body plethysmograph during quiet breathing were analyzed and compared with pulmonary function. Results: The results were as follows ; 1) The shapes of resistance curves were summarized in 5 categories; type 1: linear, type 2: ovoid, type 3: sigmoid, type 4: scoop, type 5: paisley. The type 3 except 1 case, type 4 and type 5 were found to have loop mainly in expiratory phase. 2) Although the shapes of resistance curves were not typical for specific disease, the resistance curves of acute disease tended to belong to type 1 or 2 and those of chronic airflow obstruction tended to belong to type 3, 4 or 5. But resistance curves of bronchial asthma and destructive lung with tuberculosis showed all types in proportion to degree of airflow obstruction or destruction of parenchyme. 3) In the cases of resistance curves going to type 5 rather than type 1 and those with looping, airflow obstuction tended to be severe and airway resistance and residual volume tended to increase. Conclusions: Analysis of resistance curve on $V/P_A$ tracing measuring airway resistance is helpful for judging degree of airflow obstruction and air trapping. Although the shape of resistance curve is not typical for specific disease, there is a close association between looping and airway obstruction.
The present study is intended to study sole types necessary for shoe designs for elementary school students that are in age groups in growth periods, and 3D midsole design utilizing 3D printing technology. This study analyzed data from the 3D measurement of the feet of 1,227 elementary school students aged 7-13 years residing in the capital region conducted as part of the 6th Anthropometry of Size Korea. In addition, 3D midsoles by sole type were designed utilizing a Rhino CAD, and midsole prototypes were output utilizing a Zortrax-M200 3D Printer. Through a cluster analysis of sole shapes by type, sole shapes were classified into three types. Type 1 has small values of foot lengths and foot breadths, with large toe 1 angles and high arch heights. Type 2 has intermediate values of foot lengths and foot breadths, with small toe 1 angles and high arch heights. Type 3 has large values of foot lengths and foot breadths with small toe 1 angles and low arch heights. On reviewing the results of design of 3D midsoles by sole type, it can be seen that the midsoles were designed according to characteristics by sole type. The results of the sole type analysis in the present study are expected to be meaningful as basic data for the development of shoe insoles for elementary school students.
The perturbation parameters like jitter, shimmer, and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are largely estimated in the particular segment from the subjective or whole portion of the given pathological voice signal although there are many possible regions to be able to analyze the voice signals. In this paper, the pathological voice signals were classified as type 1, 2, 3, or 4 according to narrow band spectrogram and the value differences of the perturbation parameters extracted in the subjective and entire portion tended to be getting bigger as from type 1 to type 4 signals. Therefore, sample selection method based on moving window to analyze type 2 and 3 signals as well as type 1 signals is proposed. Although type 3 signals cannot be analyzed using the perturbation analysis, the type 3 signals by selecting out the samples in which error count is less than 10 through moving window were analyzed. At present, there is no method to be able to analyze the type 4 signals. Future research will endeavor to determine the best way to evaluate such voices.
The gonads are directly affected by radiation exposure during radiography of the pelvis, abdomen, and spine. Exposure of the gonads to radiation can cause genetic mutations and can result in the occurrence of malignant tumors. In this study, we created three types of shielding material shapes for shielding of the ovaries, which are the gonads of female during radiography of the pelvis, and comparative evaluations using shadow shielding methods. The source surface distance(SSD) was 100 cm and the field size was 42 cm × 43 cm. The three types of shielding material shapes(type 1, 2 and 3) were assessed and the entrance surface dose in the ovaries were measured. The thickness of the shielding material was expanded from 0.3 mm to 2.4 mm and after five repetitions, radiation values were measured and mean values were calculated. The mean dose were 3.09 mGy for type 1, 3.54 mGy for type 2, and 3.19 mGy for type 3, indicating that the measurements were the lowest for type 1. When an additional filter of 0.2 Cu + 1 Al was used, the dose were 3.72 mGy for type 1, 5.43 mGy for type 2, and 4.05 mGy for type 3, indicating that the measurements were the lowest for type 1. The results show that, even if the shielding material is not thick, in other words, even with a thickness of 2.94 mGy for the SN 3(0.9 mm) of type 1, shielding can be achieved, with a patient dose lower than the diagnostic reference level(3.42 mGy). Additionally, among the three types of shielding material, the type 1 appeared to be the most appropriate shielding material. It is thought that the use of shielding material could reduce the risk factors for stochastic effects or critical effects of ionizing radiation during pelvic or lumbar radiography.

We observed the temperature-dependent evolution and behavior of P3HT type-II phase during a real time annealing process from a cryo-cooled low temperature in the absence and presence of an Al electrode. A poly (3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) Type-II phase in the P3HT:PCBM films started to form near at $-10^{\circ}C$, regardless of Al layer presence. In the absence of an Al layer, type-II phase was extinct at $30^{\circ}C$. However, the extinction temperature was extended to $50^{\circ}C$ in the presence of the Al layer. Simultaneously, combined with the type-II phase, a 1:3 ordered P3HT type-II (1/3,0,0) super-lattice peak evolved. These type-II domains tended to be formed near the Al electrode layer with higher aligned status than host P3HT crystals.
The present study analyzed data from the 3D measurement of the feet of men aged over 20 years residing in the capital region as part of the 6th Anthropometry of Size Korea. To analyze the characteristics of the foot shapes of young men aged 20~39 years and middle-aged/elderly men aged 40~69 years by age and by type, a cluster analysis was conducted using the factors derived through the factor analysis as independent variables. The results of the study that analyzed the characteristics of foot shapes by type according to differences in age were as follows. First, through the analysis of the characteristics of the foot shapes of young men by type, five factors were extracted, and the foot shapes were classified into three types: Type 1 (short and flat), Type 2 (thick), and Type 3 (long and wide). Second, through the analysis of the characteristics of the foot shapes of middle-aged/elderly men by type, six factors were extracted, and the foot shapes were classified into four types: Type 1 (short and regular), Type 2 (flat), Type 3 (thick), and Type 4 (long and regular). The results of the present study are expected to serve as basic data for the design of shoes by age and foot type.
