In this paper, optical sensor system using PSD(Position Sensitive Detection) is proposed to obtain the three dimensional position of moving markers attached to human body. To find the coordinates of an moving marrer with stereo vision system, two different sight rays of an moving marker are required. Usually, those are acquired with two optical sensors synchronized at the same time. PSD sensor is used to measure the position of an incidence light in real-time. To get the three-dimension position of light source on moving markers, a conventional camera calibration method are used. In this research, we realized a low cost motion capture system. The proposed system shows high three-dimension measurement accuracy and fast sampling frequency.

The aim of this descriptive study was to identify the impact of chronic illness on children and their families. Mothers of 177 children with chronic disease were recruited from aged one to 17 years hospitalizing the pediatric nursing unit at one university hospital. 28 questions. a self-complete maternal questionnaire developed by researchers based on literatures and 'The Impact of Childhood Illness Scale' (Hoare & Russell, 1995) assess four aspects of the child's and family's lifestyle with two dimensions for each question. the frequency of the problem and its importance of concern that it cause. In the data analysis. Pearson correlation coefficients and analysis of variance were used to test any association and a statistical comparisons. between individual variables and the impact on child's and family's lifestyle. The results were as follows: 1) There were the higher mean scores on the importance dimension than on the frequency dimension on total impact on child's and family's lifestyle. On the importance dimension. mothers had much higher levels of concern about impact on child's development and adjustment among subscales. On the frequency dimension, mothers had much higher levels of concern about impact on the family daily living on subscales. 2) The impact on child's and family's lifestyle related on individual variables were: (1) On the importance dimension. there was statistically significant low in the impact on child's development and adjustment among subscales in older parent group compared with it of younger parent group. (2) On the frequency dimension. there were statistically significant high in the impact on child's development and adjustment among subscales in the children with leukemia or cancer compared with it of the other children who had another chronic illnesses. And there were statistically significant high in the impact on child's development and adjustment among subscales in less than high school educated mothers compared with it of mothers who was educated college level. (3) On the frequency dimension. There were statistically significant high in the impact on family's daily living among subscales and total impact on child's and family's lifestyle in female children. (4) There was positive correlation between impact on parents daily living and frequency of child's hospitalization on the frequency dimension. but there was negative correlation between the two variables on the importance dimension. (5) There was positive correlation between impact of chronic illness and its treatment and duration of child's hospitalization on the frequency dimension. In conclusion. these results were reflected by the high level of concerns about impact on child's development and adjustment although mothers had frequently responded about the impact on the family daily living. We suggest consistent intervening program that help the family empowering to make children live with and adjust to their chronic illnesses from the point of diagnosis and after discharge from the hospital. We also suggest these results can be utilized as a useful data in the practice of home health nursing for children who have chronic illnesses and their families.

The purpose of this study was to compare the comfort level between healthy people and adult in-patients in Korea. The sample consisted of 248 adults(healthy adults : 124, patients admitted in university hospitals in Seoul and Jinju : 124). The research tool used for the study was General Comfort Questionnaire(GCQ) which was developed by Kolcaba(1992) and was translated by Korean. The research tool consisted of 28 items(6 items on physical dimension, 9 items on psychospritual dimension, 7 items on environmental dimension, 6 items on social dimension). Data were analyzing using the SPSS, yielding t-test, ANOVA. The results are as follows : 1) Mean scores for comfort level in healthy adults were 2.92 on a 4 point scale. 2) Mean scores for comfort level in-patient adult were 2.72 on a 4 point scale. 3) There was a significant difference between the two groups on the comfort level. The healthy adults had higher comfort level than in-patients(t=4.44, p=0.000). 4) There was a significant difference between the two groups on the comfort level of physical and environmental dimension. The healthy adults had higher comfort level than in-patients(t=2.99, p=0.003) and environmental dimension(t=8.81, p=0.000).
The purpose of this study was to explore instructional objectives of 'Wise Life' based on Bloom's Revised Taxonomy of Educational Objectives. It was to extend understanding the 7th and the revised Wise Life 2007 as well. The written objectives of two curriculum of Wise Life were divided into two, the 'knowledge' dimension and the 'cognitive process' dimension based on Bloom's Revised Taxonomy of Educational Objectives. Major activity subjects presented in the 7th and the revised Wise Life 2007 were dominantly the basic inquiry activity types. It was found from this research that the 'factual' knowledge of the 'knowledge' dimension and the 'understand' of the 'cognitive process' dimension took a large proportion of the revised Wise Life 2007 objectives. The 'meta-cognitive' knowledge was increased. 'Remember' of the 'cognitive process' dimension was decreased and the high level objectives as 'analyze' and 'create', in the 'cognitive process' dimension was increased from the 7th to the revised curriculum. The 'factual' knowledge, 'conceptual' knowledge and 'metacognitive' knowledge were engaged with 'understand' and the 'procedural' knowledge were engaged with 'apply'. The 'meta- cognitive' were engaged with 'create' is the 'procedural' knowledge in the revised Wise Life 2007. 'Remember' was decreased. 'Create' was increased in the basic inquiry activities. It was analysed in zero percent of 'Observing', 'Investigating and Presenting', and 'Making'.
This study was undertaken to examine relationship between tooth size and arch dimension in dental crowding. Two groups of dental casts were selected on the basis of dental crowding. One group, consisting of 51 pairs of dental casts (24 male and 27 female), exhibited remarkable dental crowding. A second group, consisting of 60 pairs of dental casts (30 male and 30 female), exhibited little or no crowding. Mean and standard deviation of the following parameters were used to compare two groups. individual and collective mesiodistal tooth diameters, buccal and lingual arch widths and arch area. The following results were obtained. 1. The crowed group revealed larger tooth size than noncrowded group. (p < 0.01) 2. The crowded group smaller maxillary dental arch dimension than noncrowded group except lingual arch width at canine region. (p < 0.01) 3. The corwded group revealed smaller mandibular dental arch dimension than noncrowded group except lingal arch width at second premalar region in the male and buccal arch width at canine, premolar region in the female. (p < 0.01) 4. The crowded group revealed smaller arch area than noncrowded group in the female (p < 0.01), but there was no significance in the male.

Compositional data consist of compositions that are non-negative vectors of proportions with the unit-sum constraint. In disciplines such as petrology and archaeometry, it is fundamental to statistically analyze this type of data. Aitchison (1983) introduced a log-contrast principal component analysis that involves logratio transformed data, as a dimension-reduction technique to understand and interpret the structure of compositional data. However, the analysis is not usable when zero values are present in the data. In this paper, we introduce 4 possible methods to reduce the dimension of compositional data with zero values. Two real data sets are analyzed using the methods and the obtained results are compared.
Contemporary architecture tends to deconstruct modern architecture based on rationalization just like reductionism and functionalism and secedes from it. It means change from mechanical to organic and ecological view of the world. According to these changes, consideration of a compositive relationship presented variety and complexity in architecture. Thus, the modern speculation based on rationalism cannot provide an alternative interpretation about complicated architectural phenomena. At this point in time, the purpose of this study is to investigate the possibilities of the fractal as an alternative tool of analysis and design in contemporary architecture. In this study, two major aspects are discussed. First, the fractal concepts just like 'fractal dimension', 'box-counting dimension' and 'fractal rhythm' can be applied to analysis in architecture. Second, the fractal formative principles just like 'scaling', 'superimposition trace', 'distortion' and 'repetition' can be applied to design in architecture. Fractal geometry similar to nature's patterned order can provide endless possibilities for analysis and design in architecture. Therefore further study of fractal geometry should be conducted synthetically from now on.

There are many modelling methods using theoretical and experimental data. Recently, fractal interpolation methods have been widely used to estimate and analyze various data. Due to the chaotic nature of dynamic roundness profile data in roundness some desirable method must be used for the analysis which is natural to time series data. Fractal analysis used in this paper is within the scope of the fractal interpolation and fractal dimension. Also, two methods for computing the fractal dimension has been introduced which can obtain the dimension of typical dynamic roundness profile data according to the number of data points in which the fixed data are generally lower than 200 data points. This fractal analysis result shows a possible prediction of roundness profile that has some different roundness profile in round shape operation.

The dimension of forged part is different with the die dimension by the various effects, such as, elastic deformation and thermal effect. And, the difference amounts are not same according to the forging conditions, for example, forging mode, flow stress, etc. Therefore, the use of FEA is effective to predict and update the required die dimension. However, the variables for FE simulation are also as many as variables in the experiment. The variables give very much effect to the accuracy of FE results. At first, the material model is very deeply affected to the estimated dimension of forged part. And the considering of loading and ejecting stages is also important to increase the dimensional accuracy. The experiment and FEA are performed to investigate the dimensional changes and accuracy in cold forging. Two types of upsetting are used to survey the effects of forging mode and stages.

In order to discriminate the morphologically analogous smallscale blackfish, Girella leonina and largescale blackfish, G. punctata, various methods were used by using biometric and geometric approaches. Morphometric analysis showed considerable 19 differences of total 44 morphometric dimensions: classical dimension 1 part; truss dimension 12 parts; and head part dimension 6 parts (P < 0.05). Some differences of morphological features primarily involved in caudal part of truss dimension. Our results of this study confirmed that two species adequately can distinguish with external body shape, and we hope that the results of our study could be used to identify in Girellidae family as taxonomical parameters.
