  • The purpose of this study is provides an implication of further teaching learning process by analyze the common and difference and characteristic of mathematical self-efficiency between three peer tutoring groups discourse in the mathematical teaching leaning process that use peer tutoring. To achieve this goal, three groups formed that consist of one peer tutor who received a first grade of mathematic achievement and one peer student. Peer student of each group is divided into high grade, middle grade, low grade of mathematic achievement. Then analyze the discourse in the exponential function problem solving process. Based on the results of study, this paper provides a concrete example of merit of peer tutoring on the peer tutor. Result of study also provides a practical help to make a peer tutoring group by considering a difference of grades between peer tutor and peer student. Because there is a possibility of mutual discourse on the tutoring group that consist of similar grades.

  • The study investigates how two different methods of peer tutoring impact academic achievement and student affect in a high school mathematics class. The two methods include the one-on-one non-reciprocal peer tutoring and the one-on-four interactive peer-tutoring method. We looked into students' cognitive gains and their affect toward mathematics after students had experienced peer tutoring for six weeks. Further, we analyzed student responses in a survey about peer tutoring activities. A finding is that the two methods produced no statistically significant difference in both cognitive gains and student affect toward mathematics. As students expressed views about their peer tutoring experiences, their comments, however, revealed the multifaceted aspects of peer tutoring in the classroom setting. In turn, this supports the use of diverse peer tutoring methods especially when the teacher makes incremental changes in teaching practices to improve student learning. Findings also indicate that appropriate peer tutoring experiences have the potential to create intellectually safe learning environments with high student engagement. This underscores the benefit of designing and implementing diverse peer tutoring methods that are effective in engaging students in learning and increasing the opportunity to learn and create knowledge with peers.

  • The study aimed to investigate what difficulties and needs North Korean refugee college students have in their college English programs and what they experience over an English tutoring program offered by pre-service English teachers. Before the tutoring started, a survey was conducted to examine the current difficulties and needs 100 NK refugee college students had. After the survey, six NK refugee college students and 12 pre-service English teachers participated in the tutoring on the voluntary basis. The survey questionnaires were analyzed statistically, and the effects of the tutoring program were analyzed qualitatively. The results show that NK refugee students reported the severe difficulties in learning English, their increased awareness of the slightly improved English skills over the tutoring program, the increased awareness of their affects, and the increased awareness of their linguistics development at the end of the tutoring. Pedagogical implications for supporting NK refugee college students are discussed.

  • Although there was an introduction of the class with in mind learner's individual learning ability as a method improving problems of the class which consists of students with various kinds of levels, it was a burden to both teacher and students because of many realistic problems. In this paper, we investigate the efficiency of peer tutoring teaching method which is the one that students having a superior ability for learning become peer tutors and they teach other peer tutee under the teacher's guidance and supervision. After we apply the class-wide peer tutoring to some sophomore classes, we obtain that this teaching method affects positively the students's learning achievement and learning attitude in mathematics class. In particular, we obtain that the peer tutoring is more effective in three to one group than in one to one group.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the satisfaction of tutoring and some dental hygiene students and to investigate whether the self - efficacy and subjective norm are mediating effects. Methods: This study was conducted on 81 students in the first year, 82 students in the second year, 30 students in third year of girls who are majoring in the dental hygiene of a college in north Gyeonsang province Form September 1 to October 15 2017 asked them to answer the questionnaire and retrieved the questionnaire, among the 193 questionnaires except for the inaccurate response, 186 were final analysis. Results: In the relationship between the affective factors of tutoring learning and the satisfaction of tutoring learning, the relationship of social interdependence, group intimacy, program usefulness, group commitment, academic self - efficacy, subjective norm, It was found to be relevant. The usefulness of the program was found to have a significant effect on the satisfaction of tutoring learning. Conclusions: It is expected that the tutoring learning satisfaction is mediated by the academic self - efficacy and the subjective norm, so that it can be utilized as the basic data of the study application of the new education program in the field of dental hygiene.

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of the reciprocal peer tutoring in high school students' affective characteristics with respect to mathematics. The study was conducted with 111 first graders in one high school located in Gyeonggi-do, and the study lasted for 1 year in regular mathematics classrooms. According to the results, reciprocal peer tutoring was very effective in improving students' interest and self-efficacy toward mathematics and reducing mathematics anxiety. Especially, in high and low performing student groups, there were statistically significant improvements in affective factors such as interest, self-efficacy toward mathematics, and mathematics anxiety after reciprocal peer tutoring. However, average performing student group showed statistically significant improvements in affective factors of interest and self-efficacy toward mathematics.

  • In this study, a men-tutoring model was applied to four second-year high school students in mathematics learning counseling that could cultivate cognitive and affective domains. By observing and analyzing the cases, we examined the effects of mathematics learning counseling on students' mathematical attitudes and self-regulated learning ability. The results of mentoring applied to mathematics learning counseling had a positive effect on reinforcing prerequisite learning, improving self-regulated learning ability, strengthening mathematical strategies, and inducing learning motivation and maintaining interest. We are looking forward to that men-tutoring can be used effectively for students who have difficulty learning mathematics.

  • This paper presents the development of language tutoring systems for nonnative speakers by leveraging advanced end-to-end automatic speech recognition (ASR) and proficiency evaluation. Given the frequent errors in non-native speech, high-performance spontaneous speech recognition must be applied. Our systems accurately evaluate pronunciation and speaking fluency and provide feedback on errors by relying on precise transcriptions. End-to-end ASR is implemented and enhanced by using diverse non-native speaker speech data for model training. For performance enhancement, we combine semisupervised and transfer learning techniques using labeled and unlabeled speech data. Automatic proficiency evaluation is performed by a model trained to maximize the statistical correlation between the fluency score manually determined by a human expert and a calculated fluency score. We developed an English tutoring system for Korean elementary students called EBS AI Peng-Talk and a Korean tutoring system for foreigners called KSI Korean AI Tutor. Both systems were deployed by South Korean government agencies.

  • In this study, new self-initiated peer tutoring is suggested to computer graphic's subject. Subject of computer graphics is practice based subject, therefore learning efficiency and learning level of students is different from each other. To improve the learning efficiency and enhance the interest of related subject, new peer tutoring activities was performed with main class in 6 months (including vacation). We analyzed the results of tutoring activities and conducted survey tutees. Results of the analysis and the survey were shown that students (tutees) are satisfied with and interested in the class of computer graphics.
