Objectives : In this article, an analysis of some documents about medical thought of change in medical history explains how the concept of it has been established and expanded, and through that, we can find the fusion of tradition between medicine and the study of IChing. Methods : Through investigation and analyses of the texts about medical thought of change in important medical books, the contexts of the history will be drawn. Results : Although the study of IChing and medicine have been developed separately in the early period of medical history, it has been started to fuse explanations for symptoms and mechanisms of diseases using trigram images. Yin-yang and wuxing changes(陰陽五行) of human body have been explained with 12 changing trigram(消息卦) and eight trigram(八卦). In the Ming dynasty, the establishment of Myeongmun(命門) theory was influenced largely from IChing, but it was followed by a scathing criticism of some doctors in the Qing dynasty. Conclusions : Developing of the study about Iching and medicine, thought of change has been an important foundation of new theories in traditional medicine like as the issue of Myeongmun theory, as a result, it has contributed to the development of clinical medicine.

본 논문은 구글(Google)에서 제공하는 n-gram 데이터가 사람들에게 실제로 어느정도의 효율성을 제공할 수 있는지에 대한 내용을 다루고 있다. 이를 위해, 구글의 trigram만을 이용하며, 규모를 줄이기 위해 필터링 과정을 거쳐 trigram 데이터베이스를 형성하였다. 그리고 이를 반영할 수 있는 텍스트 에디터를 구현하여, 사람의 타이핑 속도에 따라 얻을 수 있는 효율성을 측정하였다. 실험 결과에서 n-gram 데이터가 업무 향상에 효율성을 제공할 수 있지만, 여전히 큰 규모의 데이터집합에서 검색하는데 소모되는 시간의 한계점을 발견할 수 있었다.

In this paper, we analyze the [UC;AG] code which is genetic information standard DNA code, with 64 trigram. DNA which contains human genetic information, is a shape of adding three billion pairs of four bases which are A(adenine), C(cytosine), G(guanine) and T(thymine) to phosphoric acid and glucose. We present standard DNA code to 64 trigram which is $64{\times}4$ matrix with Kronecker product. This $64{\times}4$ matrix has double helix duplex property, and we can get the $4{\times}4$ matrix RNA code by removing the duplex of it. We present the DNA double helix to matrices and analysis the trigram array code of genetic information and the examples of it are presented in example 5, 6.

In this paper, we investigate the conventional topological interference management (TIM) with proposed network topology such as 8 trigram (8 user networks). The key observation is that optimal symmetric degree of freedom (DoF) can be achieved for 8 user network with different channel coherence times by adaptively selecting the interference alignment scheme via controlling the alignment feasibility of the transmitted signals. However, this yields a very complex problem, for which we use the combination of different schemes such as interference avoidance and repetition coding. In addition to the above schemes, we propose a triangular transmit cooperation (TTC) algorithm for 8 user networks to achieve the optimal symmetric DoF. And We apply the principle of complementarity of 8 trigram to remove the interferences, and correspond the concepts of win-win and conflict to direct and indirect signals of transmit and receive respectively. We find that the principle of complementarity comes out from the trigram of I Ching. That is, we apply the relation of confrontation and coexistence to 8 transmitters and receivers, and get the results of symmetric DoF of 4/3.

This study aims to describe, at one aspect, the relativity between syntactic structure and prosodic phrasing, and at the other, to establish a suitable phrasing pattern to produce more natural synthetic speech. To get meaningful results, all the word boundaries in the prosodic database were statistically analyzed, and assigned by the proper boundary type. The resulting 10 types of prosodic boundaries were classified into 3 types according to the strength of the breaks, which are zero, minor, and major break respectively. We have found out that the durational information was a main cue to determine the major prosodic boundary. Using the bigram and trigram of syntactic information, we predicted major and minor classification of boundary types. With brigram model, we obtained the correct major break prediction rates of 4.60%, 38.2%, the insertion error rates of 22.8%, 8.4% on each Test-I and Test-II text database respectively. With trigram mode, we also obtained the correct major break prediction rates of 58.3%, 42.8%, the insertion error rates of 30.8%, 42.8%, the insertion error rates of 30.8%, 11.8% on Test-I and Test-II text database respectively.

Objectives : He Meng-Yao(何夢瑤), a doctor from Qing Dynasty, wrote Yi Bian(醫碥, Fundamentals of Medicine), in which he described many things related to Medical Medicine of divination (醫易). As the content includes a lot of teachings for the posterity, I have studied it. Methods : I have taken from Yi Bian(醫碥) the selections related to Medicine of divination(醫易) and explained them. Results : While accepting the principle of upholding yang and suppressing yin based on the understanding of the Book of Changes(周易) that takes a superior man for yang and a small man for yin, He Meng-Yao(何夢瑤), who thought of both yin and yang as Qi (energy), criticized the contemporary malpractice of uniformly applying the principle. In matching the five viscera to the Eight Trigrams(八卦), he put Qian and Dui Trigram(乾兌) to lung, Kan Trigram(坎卦) to kidney, Zhen and Xun Trigram(震巽) to liver, Li Trigram(離卦) to heart, and Kun and Gen Trigram(坤艮) to spleen, which is reasonable. He didn't fix the position of the vital gate and called it Fire in water(水中之火), and set great store by the role of Fire from Vital Gate(命門火) by calling it Water begetting tree(水生木) when the fire of the vital gate steams the kidney water and turns it into Qi to send it up to liver. He emphasized Water-ascending and Fire-descending(水升火降), which he said involves all five viscera. He also argued that mind runs on the principle of water-ascending and fire-descending. He thought that Qi and blood both originate from kidney, which I think is a significant suggestion. Conclusions : The criticism on the uniform application of upholding yang and suppressing yin, the combination of the five viscera and the Eight Trigrams(八卦), the belief that the Vital gate(命門) is Fire in water(水中之火), the excellent opinion on water-ascending and fire-descending, and the suggestion that Qi and blood both originate from kidney, as presented by He Meng-Yao(何夢瑤), are all theories that should be reasonably appreciated and further developed by the posterity.

담화 분석에서 화자의 의도와 대화의 흐름을 이해하기 위해서 화행 분석이 중요하다. 최근에 대화 말뭉치를 이용하여 화행을 결정하는 방법들이 많이 연구되어 왔다. 발화 특성 정보를 이용한 통계적 화행 분석과 담화 구조를 최대 엔트로피 모델에 적용한 연구가 있었다. 그러나 이러한 연구에서 발화의 어떤 특성 정보가 실제 화행 결정에 중요한 역할을 하는지 알기가 어렵다. 그러나 결정 트리를 이용한 본 연구는 결정트리의 분리자를 통해 어떤 정보들이 화행결정에 영향을 끼치는지 알 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 본 연구는 결정트리를 이용하여 화행을 결정하였으며, 현재 발화의 이전 발화 정보만을 고려한 bigram, 이전 두 발화의 화행을 고려한 trigram, 또한 담화 구조를 고려한 trigram 모델을 비교 분석하였다.

Named entity recognition is the process indispensable to question answering and information extraction systems. This paper presents an HMM based named entity (m) recognition method using the construction principles of compound words. In Korean, many named entities can be decomposed into more than one word. Moreover, there are contextual relationships among nouns in an NE, and among an NE and its surrounding words. In this paper, we classify words into a word as an NE in itself, a word in an NE, and/or a word adjacent to an n, and train an HMM based on NE-related word types and parts of speech. Proposed named entity recognition (NER) system uses trigram model of HMM for considering variable length of NEs. However, the trigram model of HMM has a serious data sparseness problem. In order to solve the problem, we use multi-level back-offs. Experimental results show that our NER system can achieve an F-measure of 87.6% in the economic articles.

In this paper we describe a Korean part-of-speech tagging approach using resolution rules for individual ambiguous word and statistical information. Our tagging approach resolves lexical ambiguities by common rules, rules for individual ambiguous word, and statistical approach. Common rules are ones for idioms and phrases of common use including phrases composed of main and auxiliary verbs. We built resolution rules for each word which has several distinct morphological analysis results to enhance tagging accuracy. Each rule may have morphemes, morphological tags, and/or word senses of not only an ambiguous word itself but also words around it. Statistical approach based on HMM is then applied for ambiguous words which are not resolved by rules. Experiment shows that the part-of-speech tagging approach has high accuracy and broad coverage.

Subject : Kim hong-kyung(金洪卿)'s view of eight extra meridians Object : Kim hong-kyung has not only deeply studied Saam acupuncture but also the function and characteristics of extra meridian at the same time. Especially, he has tried the study to connect yin yang wei qiao mai(陰陽維蹻脈) with Lee je-ma(李濟馬)'s four trigram constitution theory, therefore the author felt the need to make public the theory and started reserch on the theory. Method : I researched the physiological properties of extra meridians through the past eastern medical literature, I reported on the types of people to show well the properties of extra meridians gathering Kum-oh's verbal explanation when I had classes from him. Result : Kum-oh Kim hong-kyung defined meridians as passways of consciousness and feeling, he interpreted 12 meridians and extra meridians with the view of mind, which has very important meanings in the history of acupuncture in the point of first trial to interpret meridians from this view. He explained Ren mai(任脈) and Du mai(督脈) are meridians which show clearly properties of yin-yang to appear trusts of affirmation and distrusts of denial in the mind, as Ren(任) means entrusting and Du(督) means supervising in English. He explained Chong mai(衝脈) is the meridian representing impulsive man that has a meaning of impulse as being suggested the name of Chong mai, because Chong mai is borrowed from Foot shao yin kidney meridian(足少陰腎經). Dai mai(帶脈) is the meridian representing the characteristics of woman that has a meaning of binding as being suggested from the name of Dai mai which acts when people have something on their flank or they are pregnant, because Dai mai borrowed from Foot shao yang gall bladder meridian. He thought that four trigram divided from yin and yang is innate trigram, so Yang wei mai(陽維脈), Yin wei mai(陰維脈), Yang qiao mai(陽蹻脈), Yin qiao mai(陰蹻脈) among extra meridians have connections with Tai-yang ren(太陽人), Tai-yin ren(太陰人), Shao-yin ren(少陰人), Shao-yang ren(少陽人) of Four trigram constitution theory respectively which was created by Lee je-ma. He explained yang means opponents and wei(維) means binding. Yang wei mai is the meridian to be active when opponents bind or intervene in you, also the meridian is well active to the people who easily criticize others who are rude, to the people who well refuse restraints from organization. Because he explained yin means me and wei(維) means binding. Yin wei mai is the meridian to be active when I bind and intervene in opponents. He also state that the meridian is easily active to the people who have a tendency to gather people and make party apparatus by nature. He explained Yang qiao mai is the meridian to be active in the situation that people are waiting for others to bridge gap because yang means opponents and qiao(蹻) which has a meaning of standing on one's tiptoes means bridging gap between people. He also state the meridian is easily active to Shao yin ren who has a tendency to be passive, to easily settle down and not to move by nature. He explained Yin qiao mai is the meridian to be active in the situation that I bridge gap between me and others to make friends, because yin means me and qiao(蹻) which has a meaning of standing on one's tiptoes means bridging gap between me and others. He also state the meridian is easily active to Shao yang ren who is active in every business and who has remarkable ability to make friends. Conclusion : Kim hong-kyung stated the physiological properties of extra meridians as below. Ren mai is the meridian representing positive confidence which is easily active when people have a mind to trust others, Du mai is the meridian representing negative distrust which is easily active when people have doubts. Chong mai is the meridian representing the characteristics of man that has impulsive characteristics. Dai mai is the meridian representing the characteristics of woman to be easily active when she is pregnant. Yang wei mai has close connections with Tai-yang ren who has a tendency to refuse restraints from others and to criticize on opponent's remarks and behaviors that are wrong. Yin wei mai has close connections with Tai-yin ren, as the meridian is active in the situation that people enjoy restraining and intervening in others. Yang qiao mai has close connections with Shao yin ren, as the meridian is active to the people who are negative and passive by nature. Yin qiao mai has close connections with Shao yang yin who has a strong tendency to make friends easily by nature.
