The superconducting transmission cable is one of interesting part in power application using high temperature superconducting wire. One important parameter in HTS cable design is transport current sharing because it is related with current transmission capacity and loss. In this paper, we calculate self inductances of each layer and mutual inductances between two layers from magnetic field energy, and current sharing of each layer for 4-layer cable using the electric circuit model which contain inductance and resistance (by joint and AC loss). Also, transport current losses which are calculated by monoblock model and Norris equation are compared. As a results, outer layer has always larger transport current than inner layer, and current capacity of each layer is largely influenced by resistance per unit cable length. As a conclusion, for high current uniformity and low AC loss, we have to decrease inductances themselves or those differences.
Organic solar cells (OSCs) with low cost have been studied to apply on flexible substrate by solution process in low temperature [1]. In previous researches, conventional organic solar cell was composed of metal oxide anode, buffer layer such as PEDOT:PSS, photoactive layer, and metal cathode with low work function. In this structure, indium tin oxide (ITO) and Al was generally used as metal oxide anode and metal cathode, respectively. However, they showed poor reliability, because PEDOT:PSS was sensitive to moisture and air, and the low work function metal cathode was easily oxidized to air, resulting in decreased efficiency in half per day [2]. Inverted organic solar cells (IOSCs) using high work function metal and buffer layer replacing the PEDOT:PSS have focused as a solution in conventional organic solar cell. On the contrary to conventional OSCs, ZnO and TiO2 are required to be used as a buffer layer, since the ITO in IOSC is used as cathode to collect electrons and block holes. The ZnO is expected to be excellent electron transport layer (ETL), because the ZnO has the advantages of high electron mobility, stability in air, easy fabrication at room temperature, and UV absorption. In this study, the IOSCs based on poly [N-900-hepta-decanyl-2,7-carbazole-alt-5,5-(40,70-di-2-thienyl-20,10,30-benzothiadiazole)] (PCDTBT) : [6,6]-phenyl C71 butyric acid methyl ester (PC70BM) were fabricated with the ZnO electron-transport layer and MoO3 hole-transport layer. Thickness of the ZnO for electron-transport layer was controlled by rotation speed in spin-coating. The PCDTBT and PC70BM were mixed with a ratio of 1:2 as an active layer. As a result, the highest efficiency of 2.53% was achieved.
Oceanographic survey data were analyzed to understand the characteristics of a warm eddy observed in the Ulleung Basin in July 2005. The temperature distribution at 200 db and vertical sections provided evidence of the warm eddy in the Ulleung Basin (UWE05). Based on the 5$^{\circ}C$ isothermal line on 200 db temperature, the major axis was 160 km from southwest to northeast, and the minor axis was 80 km from southeast to northwest. The homogeneous layer in the thermocline of UWE05 had mean values of 10.40$^{\circ}C$ potential temperature, 34.35 psu salinity, and 26.37 kg/m$^3$ potential density (${\sigma}_{\theta}$) and provided evidence that UWE05 also existed during the winter of 2004-2005. A warm streamer initially flowed along the circumference of UWE05 and mixed with the upper central water. Two northward current cores were found on the western side of the measured current section at the central latitude of UWE05. One was the East Korean Warm Current (EKWC) and the other was the main stream of the western part of UWE05. Geostrophic transport of the upper layer (from the surface to the isopycnal surface of 26.9 ${\sigma}_{\theta}$) was approximately 2.5 Sv in the eastern side of UWE05. However, the measured transport was twice as large as the geostrophic transport. Mass conservation of geostrophic transport was well satisfied in the upper layer. The direct current measurements and geostrophic transport analysis showed that the EKWC meandered around UWE05.
최근의 스마트 폰과 이동통신 망의 발전으로 인하여 모바일 컴퓨팅 환경이 더 이상 보조적인 수단이 아니게 되었다. 그리고 데이터 센터의 활성화로 인하여 클라우드 컴퓨팅, 빅 데이터, SDN(Software Defined Network), 그리고 NFV(Network Function Virtualization)과 같은 새로운 서비스 기술들이 나타나고 있다.
We have developed blue-emitting phosphorescent organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) using 2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (BCP) and tris (8-quinolinolato)aluminum ($Alq_3$) electron transport layers. As blue dopant and host materials, bis[(4,6-di-fluorophenyl)-pyridinate-N,C2']picolinate (FIrpic) and N,N'-dicarbazolyl-3,5-benzene (mCP) were used, respectively. The driving voltage, current efficiency and emission characteristics of devices were investigated. While the driving voltage was about $1{\sim}2$ V lower in the device with an $Alq_3$ layer, the current efficiency was about 66 % higher in the device with BCP electron transport layer. the blue phosphorescent OLED with BCP layer exhibited higher purity of color, resulting from a relatively weak electroluminescence intensity at 500 nm.

We have developed low voltage operating OLEDs with new electron transport layer. The device having a structure of ITO/2TNATA/HTL:Rubrene(1%)/HTL /new ETL/LiF/Al have been used. The voltage for achieving $1,000\;cd/m^2$ was 4.1 V, whereas the turn on voltage for the brightness of $1\;cd/m^2$ was 2.8 V. This high luminance at low operating voltage is caused by the high current density, resulting from high electron conduction property of the new electron transport layer.
To provide high-quality media streaming service over the best-effort Internet, an efficient streaming system with a network-adaptive transport is essential. By adopting FEC-based adaptive transport and by matching it to the priority of media packets, in this paper, an enhanced MPEG-4 streaming system is implemented. The implemented adaptive transport can complement the existing MPEG-4 streaming server with components such as elementary stream provider, sync layer and DMIF layer. Sync layer packets of each MPEG-4 elementary stream are prioritized and then selectively dropped at the sender to match the currently available bandwidth. Also, with the proposed adaptive transport module, the level of FEC protection is dynamically adjusted based on the underlying network condition. With preliminary verification over the emulated network testbed, it is shown that the proposed implementation can mitigate the impact of network fluctuation and thus improve the quality of streaming.
In the devices structure of ITO/N,N'-diphenyl-N,N' bis (3-methylphenyl)-1,1'-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine (TPD) /tris (8-hydroxyquinoline)aluminum$(Alq_3)$electron-transport-layer(ETL)(2,9-Dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline(BCP))/Al, we have studied the efficiency improvement of organic light-emitting diodes depending on the thickness variation of BCP using electron transport layer. The thickness of TPD and $Alq_3$ was manufactured 40 nm, 60 nm under a base pressure of $5{\times}10^{-6}$ Torr using at thermal evaporation, respectively. The TPD and $Alq_3$ layer were evaporated to be deposition rate of $2.5{\AA}/s$. And the BCP was evaporated to be a4 a deposition of $1.0{\AA}/s$. As the experimental results, we found that the luminous efficiency and the external quantum efficiency of the device is superior to others when thickness of BCP is 5 nm. Also, operating voltage is lowest. Compared to the ones from the devices without BCP layer, the luminous efficiency and the external quantum efficiency were improved by a factor of four hundred ninty and five hundred, respectively. And operating voltage is reduced to about 2 V.
The properties of the electron transport layer (ETL) have a great effect on perovskite solar cell performance. Depositing conformal SnO2 ETL on bottom textured silicon cells is essential to increase current density in terms of the silicon-perovskite tandem solar cells. In the recent study, the SnO2 electron transport layer deposited by the sputtering method showed an efficiency of 19.8%. Also, an electron transport layer with a sputtered TiO2 electron transport layer in a 4-terminal tandem solar cell has been reported. In this study, we synthesized SnOx ETL with a various sputtering power range of 30-60W by Radio-frequency (RF)-magnetron sputtering. The properties of SnOx thin film were characterized using ellipsometer, UV-vis spectrometer, and IV measurement. With a sputtering power of 50W, the solar cell showed the highest efficiency of 13.3%, because of the highest fill factor by the conductivity of SnOx film.
The studies on OLED(Organic Light-Emitting Diode) materials and structures have been researched in other to improve luminescence efficiency of OLED. Electrons and holes are injected into the devices, transported across the layer and recombine to form excitons, their profiles are sensitive to mobility velocity of electrons and holes. A suggested means of improving the efficiency of LEDs would be to balance the injection of electrons and holes into light emission layer of the device. In this paper, we demonstrate the difference of velocity between hole and electron by experiments, and compare with a data of simulation and experiment changing hole carrier transport layer thickness, so we get the optimal we improve luminescence efficiency. We improve understanding of the various luminescence efficiency through experiments and numerical analysis of luminescence efficiency in the hole carrier transport layer's thicknes.
