Intelligent Path Planning and Following for Coordinated Control of Heterogeneous Marine Robots (이종 해양로봇의 협력제어를 위한 지능형 경로 계획 및 추종)

  • In real system application, the path planning and following system for the coordinated control of heterogeneous marine robots based on the underwater acoustic communication has the following problems: surface and underwater robots have different maneuvering properties, an underwater robot requires more effective operating, it has a limited communication range because of the transmission loss (TL) of acoustic wave, it has a communication error because of the Doppler distortion of acoustic wave, and further, it requires an easy design procedure in terms of its structures and parameters. To solve these problems, an intelligent path planning algorithm using the evolution strategy (ES) and the fuzzy logic controller (FLC) based on system modeling, is proposed. To verify the performance of the proposed algorithm, the path planning and following of an underwater robot is performed according to the maneuvering of a surface robot. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm effectively solves the problems.

  • The surface intensity method is a relatively new tool which can identify the noise source or path and measure the radiation power. One microphone and one accelerometer are used in this new technique. In this study, this new technique has been used to measure the field transmission loss trough doors. The results of the experiment indicate that the surface intensity method produces reliable data and can be applied to the transmission loss measurement.

  • The purpose of this research was to assess gender differences in the processes of intergenerational transmission of marital instability. This study revealed gender differences in the intergenerational transmission of marital instability. The fit indices suggest that the hypothesized model fit better for the female sample. Parental divorce marital quality and marital commitment were significant predictors of marital instability for both genders. Parental divorce was a strong predictor of marital quality for women only. While the path between age difference and marital quality for females was strong the same association disappeared for their male counterparts.

  • In this paper, it is analyzed the statistical characteristics on the transmission performance of the optical SCM transmission in the CDMA RF signal relay system. Using Mach-Zehnder modulator, optical signal is regenerated into CDMA RF signal. Transfer function model of mach-Zehnder modulator is approximated to the third power of the input signal using Taylor series. BER results are analyzed under the multiple access interference and multi-path fading environment.

  • The effective power consumption is the primary issue in a sensor network which consists of the sensor nodes with limited battery power. So, most of the MAC protocols in sensor networks have been designed with the consideration of energy efficiency. Generally, these protocols make use of the listen and sleep mode periodically. However, this approach inevitably causes a long transmission delay on the data forwarding path, which is mainly resulted from the sleep time of the receiver node. This paper deals with a design of DT-MAC(Data Transmission centric MAC) protocol, with minimizes the data transmission delay while it forces each node to consume its energy efficiently. Thus, a node received a packet converts its remained sleep time to the pseudo_listen time, in which the node is able to transmit a packet. With benefit of the pseudo_listen period, the data transmission delay along with the data forwarding path will be shortened as much as it possible. Therefore, DT-MAC protocol is very suitable to the various applications which require a real time sensing data such as disaster and fire alarm.

  • The quickest path problem deals with the transmission of a message of size ${\sigma}$ from a source to a destination with the minimum end to end delay over a network with bandwidth and delay constraints on the links. We consider two basic modes and four variations for the message delivery at the nodes reflecting the mechanisms such as circuit switching. Internet protocol, and their combinations, For each of first five modes, we present O($m^2+mnlogn$) algorithm to compute the quickest path for a given message size ${\sigma}$, For the last mode, the quickest path can be computed in O(m+nlogn) time.

  • Tractor is a farm vehicle that is designed to provide a high tractive effort at low speed. It is used for versatile agricultural tasks such as hauling a trailer, tillage, mowing and construction work. Most older tractors use a manual transmission. However, as the intensity of work increases, tractors equipped with automatic transmission become popular due to the work convenience. In order to give the operator a large degree of control in field work, 24 gears with automatic 8-speed and manual 3-speed are arranged in transmission. This paper deals with the gear train that is designed for 8-speed automatic transmission by the engagement of multi-disk clutches. The gear ratio for each speed as well as power transmission mechanism is analyzed through velocity analysis. In addition, constraints of mesh gear ratio are derived by investigating the power flow path in velocity diagram for the given 8-speed gear ratio.

  • Counter shaft transmission is a popular automatic transmission power train in construction vehicles such as wheel loader and forklift. The gear train layout of counter shaft transmission is a very basic and important development stage because it affects the most of components design including hydraulic system and shift control algorithm, etc. This paper presents a design methodology for the gear train layout from the analysis of power flow path and clutch hook-up of the existing counter shaft transmission that is adopted in commercialized construction vehicles. Also, independent constraints for the meshed gear ratios are derived in order to realize forward 4-speed and reverse 3-speed gear ratio. The layout design principle proposed here was applied to the new original counter shaft transmission that is underdevelopment.

  • Noise Path Analysis is commonly used method to analysis noise transmission characteristics of a system. To analysis transfer paths of a system, it is necessary to know operating forces at each transfer path. The method to find out operating forces is divided into two methods. The one is a direct method which measures operating forces directly and the other is an indirect method which estimates operating forces mathematically. However, the indirect method is more commonly used because of the difficulty of measurement. This paper is focused on the indirect method and air-borne noise of a vehicle. Noise Path Analysis for Air-Borne Noise is applied to a real vehicle.
