This paper, describes about creation and implementation of phonetic value- transcription conversion table for postprocessing of the voice recognition. Transcription set generator, which produces transcription set that is pronounced as recognized phonetic value, is designed and implemented to postprocess for the voice recognition system which recognizes syllable unit phonetic value Phonetic value-transcription conversion table is produced with transcription-phonetic value conversion table produced by modeling standard pronunciation on petrinet. To show that phonetic value-transcription conversion table produces correct transcription set, transcription set generator is designed and implemented. This paper proves that correct transcription set is produced, which is including pre-vocalization transcription as a result of experimenting standard pronunciation examples and the words randomly sampled from pronunciation dictionary.
This paper examines transcription of sounds from a phonological perspective. It has found that most of transcriptions have been done on a segmental basis alone, without consideration of the whole phonological systems and levels, and without a full understanding of the nature of the linguistic and phonetic alphabets. In a word, sound transcriptions have not been done on the basis of the phonology of the language and the alphabet. This study shows a phonological model for transcribing foreign and native sounds, suggesting ways of improving some of the current transcription systems such as the Hangeul transcription of loan words and the romanization of Hangeul, as well as the phonetic transcription of English and other foreign languages.
The paper discusses the way in which speech sounds are being evaluated and transcribed in various fields of speech sciences, and suggests ways for a more accurate transcription. The academic fields explored are of phonetics, speech processing, speech pathology, and foreign language education. The discussion centers on the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), most commonly used in these fields, and other less widely-accepted transcription conventions such as the TOnes and Break Indices (ToBI), the Speech Assessment Methods Phonetic Alphabet (SAMPA), an extension of the official Korean Romanization (KORBET), and the American-English transcription system in the TIMIT database (TIMITBET). These transcription conventions are dealt with Korean, English, and Korean-accented English. The paper demonstrates that each transcription can exclusively be recommended for a specific need from different academic fields. Due to its publicity, the IPA is best suited for phonetic evaluation in the fields of phonetics, speech pathology, and foreign language education. The rest of the transcriptions are useful for keyboard-inputting the phonetically evaluated data from all these fields as well as for sound transcription in speech engineering, because they use convenient letter symbols for typing, searching, and programming. Several practical suggestions are made to maintain the transcriptional efficiency and consistency to accommodate the intra-and inter-transcriber variability.

In injection molding of an optical disk, a toric lens, etc., their performance depends on the transcription preciseness of fine surface structure of a mold. However, transcription behavior has not been made clear yet, because transcription is made in very short time and the structure is very small. In this paper, transcription properties have been examined, by using V-grooves of various sizes. machined on mold surfaces, and the following results are obtained. (1) Transcription properties have been made clear experimentally and it was found that the mold temperature $T_D$ makes great influence on the transcription property and that compression applying time $t_c$ should be taken more than 2.0s for fine transcription. (2) A mechanical model of transcription process, in consideration with strain recovery due to viscoelastic property of polymer. is proposed. (3) Simulation results agree with experimental ones fairly well. It means that the transcription model is useful for estimation of transcription property in advance of an actual. injection molding.

In this paper, we obtained the monodomain alignment of nematic liquid Crystal(NLC) in the cell fabricated by transcription alignment method on polyimide(PI) surface with side chain. It is considered that the LC alignment produced by the transcription alignment method is attributed to a memory effect of the NLC on PI surfaces. Also we observed that the generated pretilt angle of NLC is about $3.7^{\circ}$ with transcription alignment on PI surface. Next, we measured that the voltage-transmittance characteristics of transcription-aligned TN-LCD are almost same compared to rubbing-aligned TN-LCD. Also, we measured that the curve of transcription-aligned TN-LCD is less sharp than that of the rubbing-aligend TN-LCD in the decay time characteristics. It is considered that the response time characteristics of transcription-aligned TN-LCD are attributed to the weak anchoring strength between the LC molecules and the polymer surface.

This paper presents a threshold adaptation based voice query transcription scheme for music information retrieval. The proposed scheme analyzes monophonic voice signal and generates its transcription for diverse music retrieval applications. For accurate transcription, we propose several advanced features including (i) Energetic Feature eXtractor (EFX) for onset, peak, and transient area detection; (ii) Modified Windowed Average Energy (MWAE) for defining multiple small but coherent windows with local threshold values as offset detector; and finally (iii) Circular Average Magnitude Difference Function (CAMDF) for accurate acquisition of fundamental frequency (F0) of each frame. In order to evaluate the performance of our proposed scheme, we implemented a prototype music transcription system called AMT2 (Automatic Music Transcriber version 2) and carried out various experiments. In the experiment, we used QBSH corpus [1], adapted in MIREX 2006 contest data set. Experimental result shows that our proposed scheme can improve the transcription performance.

In spoken language research, transcription process needs to be carried out to translate voice data into text. Transcription tool, support program of transcription, offers various information such as content and time of utterance and speaker information. For this reason, inexperienced computer users are having trouble familiarizing with the program. Moreover, since there are little transcription tools developed domestically in Korea, they are usually not suitable for Korean environment. In this paper, we propose a transcription tool which supports not only Korean transcription but easy-to-use interface environment for novice. The transcription supporting function is also provided to minimize mistake that might happen in the process of transcription. And a system structure will be provided for data reliability. Usability of the proposed tool is evaluated in accordance with transcription experience. The evaluation result shows that transcription process and transcription support function have become faster and more convenient respectively.
The transcriptions of Buddhist sutra in the Goryeo Dynasty are more elaborate and splendid than those of any other period and occupy a very important position in Korean bibliography. Among them, the transcriptions made on indigo paper show decorative features that represent the dignity and quality that nobles would have preferred. Particularly, during the Goryeo Dynasty, a large number of transcriptions were made on indigo paper, often in hand-scrolled and folded forms. If flexibility was not guaranteed, the hand-scrolled form caused inconvenience and damage when handling the transcription because of the structural limitations of the material that is rolled up and opened. It was possible to overcome these shortcomings by changing from the hand-scrolled to the folded form to obtain convenience and structural stability. The folded form of the transcription utilizes the same principle as the folding screen, so it is a structure that can be folded and unfolded, and it is made by connecting parts at regularly spaced intervals. No matter how small the transcription is, if it is made of thin paper, it is difficult to handle it and to maintain its shape and structure. For this reason, the folded transcription was usually made of thick paper to support the structure, and the cover was made thicker than the inner part to protect the contents. In other words, the forded form was generally manufactured to suit the characteristics of maintaining strength by making the paper thick. Because a large amount of indigo paper was needed to make this type of transcription, it is assumed that there were craftsmen who were in charge only of dark dyeing the papers. Usually, paper dyeing requires much more dye than silk dyeing, and dyeing dozens of times would be required to obtain the deep indigo color of the base of the transcription of Buddhist sutra in the Goryeo Dynasty. Unfortunately, there is no record of the Goryeo Dynasty's indigo blue paper manufacturing technique, and the craftsmen who made indigo paper no longer remain, so no one knows the exact method of making indigo paper. Recently, Hanji artisans, natural dyers, and conservators attempted to restore the Goryeo Dynasty's indigo paper, but the texture and deep colors found in the relics could not be reproduced. This study introduces the process of restoring indigo paper in the Goryeo Dynasty through collaboration between dyeing artisans, Hanji artisans, and conservators for conservation of the transcription of Buddhist sutra in the late Goryeo dynasty, yielding a suggested method of making indigo paper.
Most of music-transcription systems that have been commercialized operate based on audio information. However, these conventional systems have disadvantages of environmental dependency, equipment dependency, and time latency. This paper studied a vision-based music-transcription system that utilizes video information rather than audio information, which is a traditional method of music-transcription programs. Computer vision technology is widely used as a field for analyzing and applying information from equipment such as cameras. In this paper, we created a program to generate MIDI file which is electronic music notes by using smart-phone cameras to record the play of piano.
This paper investigates the effects of small group collaborative transcription activities on the improvement of university students' English listening ability. Based on the results of pre-tests, a class of 42 students was subdivided into 11 small homogeneous groups of three to four students. Each group was provided with 7 different news items to be transcribed. Means were compared between pre-test and post-test scores, followed by comparison of transcription errors in content and function words. Finally, students' perception and attitudes about the use of small group transcription for improving listening skills were qualitatively analysed and compared with pre- and post test results. It was found that post test scores highly correlated with improvement of listening ability. It was also found that groups of high degree of collaboration showed improvement in listening ability while lack of collaboration contributed to loss of interests in listening. Students who see process more important were found to make more contribution to the group success than those who place more emphasis on the results.
