  • More recently, workers and passengers of casualties has increased by rear-end collisions of unexpected while working on the road. Recently attracted air chamber TMA mounting car accidents which occurred in 3 years, and analyzed the effect of reducing the shock absorption and protection performance and casualties. There is a risk of the vehicle AIS4 more injury of high five accidents of casualties risk, also, was the analysis that there is risk of death was avoided by the air chamber TMA and SGT. Therefore, by mounting the TMA in the rear-end accident, so you can reduce the death and casualties, it must be increased this of attach rate for road construction vehicle.

  • The underground electricity distributions are significantly increased because of the urbanization accompanied by rural area developments. However, it has also been increased the safety accidents such as an electric shock around the handhole where the underground cables are connected to each other. This paper provides the base materials on the necessity to amend the installation regulation for securing the insulation and structure strength of handholds using the cast iron or fiberglass reinforced plastic. Article 137 in the judgement regulation for the Korea electro-technical regulation which is one of the installation regulations for handhole is amended and announced in 2017 by being based on the materials in this paper. It is expected to continually reduce the electric shock occurrence around handhole by considering the amended installation regulation.

  • In this study, Event Corrective Action Supporting System (ECAS) is developed for the accident evaluation in nuclear power plant. The ECAS system can be used in supporting regulator and/or operator under event situation in nuclear power plants. The ECAS system consists of 5 modules including failure location module, failure analysis module, failure integrity evaluation module, system vulnerability evaluation module, and reporting and operating experience feedback module. The ECAS system will be used as sub module of Knowledge-Based Event Evaluation Network (K-EvENT) which is developing for the against the accident in nuclear power plants.

  • A simple preliminary analysis is often useful to check a validity of design alternatives before the detailed analysis phase in the viewpoint of efficiency. This paper describes a preliminary analysis procedure for the selection among basket design candidates for the spent fuel shipping cask of Korean standard nuclear power plant. As the cask should maintain the structural integrity in hypothetical accident condition, the case of 9 m drop is significantly considered as the worst scenario among the accident conditions in structural design viewpoint in this paper. As basket design options, totally four different types are considered and analyzed in the point of structural integrity at drop impact and weldability for fabrication. As a result, an insertion round plate type with densely spaced supports turns out to be the best in both of the viewpoints, though the weld plate type shows a bit more design margin.

  • Interlocking signalling system plays key role as core system to manage railway operation. The core role of railway operation is to control routing, displaying signal and regulation for train. Interlocking system relate tightly to railway accident because collision and derailment is sometime taken place wrong route setting and signal displaying. Safety activity for interlocking system is inevitable to avoid the accident over its life cycle. The safety activity includes hazard identification and analysis, safety requirement allocation, safety plan, safety activity and ao on. The safety activity need a broad wide range work. In this paper, we concentrate on hazard identification for generic interlocking system and programmable electronic interlocking system and compare between two results. The hazards will be used for safety activity.

  • An intelligent safety vehicle(ISV) should have an ability to predict the possibility of an accident and help a driver avoid the accident in advance. The basic function of the ISV is to alert the driver by warning when the collision is to occur. For this purpose, the ISV has to function efficiently in sensing the environmental context. While image processing provides lane information, laser radar senses road obstacles including vehicles. By applying a simple clustering algorithm to radar signals, it is possible to obtain the vehicle information. Consequently, we can identify the existence of the vehicle of interest on my lane. The reliability of the sensing algorithm is evaluated by running on the highway with a test vehicle.

대형 버스의 전복 해석과 측정법 (Rollover Analysis and Measurement of a Large-sized Bus)

  • The safety problems of buses have been arisen due to the increasing of road traffic. Occupant injuries are always possible in the rollover accident and the frontal impact. Thus the structure of bus should have sufficient strength to protect passengers under accidental loads. ECE(Economic Commission for Europe) regulation No.66 prescribes that the superstructure of the vehicle shall be sufficient strength for passengers' surviving and the residual space shall be preserved in the passenger compartment during and after the standard rollover accident situation. Rollover test and simulation on a large-sized bus was completed according to the regulation. The coordinates of the points on the bus were measured by photogrammetry system. The rollover situation was revived by structural crashes simulation software, PAM-CRASH, and it was checked that the structure still complied with the requirements of residual space during rollover situation. The residual space was preserved during rollover, so it was proved that the structure of the investigated bus had much probability of survival in rollover accidents.

  • Lots of researches have been conducted on in-vessel retention (IVR) to prevent or mitigate severe accident in nuclear power plants. Various methodologies were proposed and the external reactor vessel cooling was selected as a part of promising IVR strategy. In this study, the strategy is strengthened by enhancing the natural circulation performance through the adoption of insulation in the reactor cavity. A thermal analysis was carried out based on an assumed accident scenario and its results were used as boundary conditions for subsequent seven flow analysis cases. By comparing the natural circulation performance, effects of annular gaps and insulation shapes on the mass flow rate and flow velocity were quantified. The improvement in cooling performance can be reflected in actual design via detailed assessment.

  • 본 연구는 종래 전자금융거래의 인증수단으로 활용되고 있는 OTP단말기 보급의 한계점을 해소하면서 사용자 편의성을 유지하기 위한 연구이다. 이미 2000만대 이상 보급된 스마트 폰과 일반 스마트 기기를 이용하여 시간과 장소에 구애받지 않고 언제든지 전자금융거래에 대해 인증을 할 수 있는 새로운 인증방법인 스마트 기기를 이용한 Lock-Unlock 인증방법은 전자금융거래 사용자의 의사에 반하는 모든 전자금융 사고거래(피싱, 해킹, 단순 공인인증서 및 OTP 도용, ATM 인출, ARS 인출 등)를 차단할 수 있는 인증 방법이다. 제시된 연구결과를 이용하면 실제 금융거래시 사고거래를 최소화하고 전자금융거래 사용자를 효과적으로 보호할 수 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는 서울메트로 2 호선 상왕십리역에서 발생한 전동열차 충돌사고에 대하여 사고재현 시뮬레이션을 수행하고 사고 발생 시 피해를 최소화할 수 있는 개선방안을 제시한다. 사고재현을 위해 상용 충돌해석 소프트웨어인 LS-DYNA를 사용하여 1 차원 및 3 차원 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 1 차원 시뮬레이션을 통해 각 차량 연결기의 하중, 변위, 충격흡수 에너지 및 차량의 가속도를 분석하여 사고 시 충돌안전도를 평가하였으며, 3 차원 시뮬레이션을 통해 차량의 변형 및 타고오름 현상을 분석하였다. 또한 사고 전동차의 충돌안전도 향상을 위한 개선방안들을 제시하고, 그 중 선두차량에 고용량 완충장치를 적용하는 방안에 대하여 1 차원 시뮬레이션을 통해 충돌안전도의 개선 여부를 확인하였다.
