Effects of Low Intensity Blood Flow Restriction Training on Brain Motor Area Activation

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of low intensity blood flow restriction training (LBFR) on the central nervous system of healthy adults. Methods: Ten healthy right-handed adults (eight males and two females, mean age of 28.6 ± 2.87 years) were selected as study subjects. Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) was conducted to measure brain activation (BA) following LBFR and non-LBFR. The primary motor area, premotor area, and supplementary motor area, which are closely related to exercise, were set as the regions of interest. Results: The BA recorded during the LBFR condition was 931.7 ± 302.44 voxel, and the BA recorded during the non-LBFR condition was 1,510.9 ± 353.47 voxel. Conclusion: BA was lower during LBFR than during non-LBFR.

  • The purpose of this study is to assess individual decisive factors for distribution of medical specialists in Korea. A data set was constructed using several published data sources. including the Korean Medical Association's physician master file as a principal source for physician information. Linear logistic regression analysis was performed to assess the relationship between the location of private specialist clinic for practice with six variables related with individual characteristics: age. sex. location of postgraduate training hospital. location of medical school graduated, size of hospital for training, and specialty. Analysis showed that location of practice. classified into urban and rural areas, was significantly associated with the variables of sex. location of postgraduate training hospital. location of medical school. In addition, significant association was found between the location of practice which was categorized into "near-Seoul area" and others, and sex, location of postgraduate training hospital. and location of medical school. We could conclude that to improve area maldistribution of physicians locations of hospitals for training and medical schools have to have the highest priority in the policymaking.icymaking.

특성화고 교사를 위한 발명.특허 교원 직무연수 프로그램의 효과성 평가와 개선 방안 탐색 (Evaluation of Teacher Training Program effectiveness and Exploration of improvement for Specialized high-school Teacher in Invention and Patent field)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 특성화고 교사를 위한 발명 특허분야 교원 직무연수 프로그램의 효과성을 확인하고 개선 방안을 탐색하는데 있었다. 이 연구의 대상은 2015년도 충남대학교 발명교사교육센터가 주관한 특성화고 교사 대상 발명 특허분야 교원직무연수 참여자 39명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료 수집은 연수가 종료된 시점에 직접 설문지를 배부하고 전량(100%)을 회수하였고, 39명중 불성실한 응답자 2명을 제외한 37명을 자료분석에 활용하였다. 이 연구를 위한 교원연수프로그램 개발은 문헌연구와 전문가 회의를 통해 이루어졌고, 적용에 따른 만족도는 설문지를 개발하여 활용하였다. 연수 프로그램의 효과성은 교육요구도와 교육만족도를 통해 확인하였으며, 교원 직무연수 개선 방안 연구진에 의해 구안된 교원 연수 평가 모형에 의해 모색되었다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 특성화고 교원을 위한 발명 특허 교원직무연수의 교육요구도는 높았다. 둘째, 개발된 교원직무연수 프로그램의 만족도는 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 연수 프로그램은 전반적으로 교육효과성이 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 연수 프로그램의 엄격한 개선을 위하여 현상유지, 대안탐색, 전략수정, 기대 확장의 4개 영역으로 구분하였다.

감각운동 훈련을 병행한 순환식 과제 지향 운동프로그램이 뇌졸중 환자의 보행 및 균형에 미치는 영향 : 예비연구 (The Effects of Task-Related Circuit Exercise Program Combined with Sensorimotor Training on Balance and Walking in Persons with Stroke : A pilot study)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify whether task-related circuit exercise program combined with sensorimotor training for 4 weeks could improve the balance and gait in stroke patients. Method: Fifteen stroke patients who had agreed with the study were randomly divided into 3 groups categorized as task-related circuit exercise program combined with sensorimotor training group (experimental group 1, n=5), task-related circuit exercise program group (experimental group 2, n=5), and control subjects performed conventional physical therapy (control group, n=5). The balance and gait were assessed by BT-4 force platform system, Berg Balance Scale, 10meter Walk Test and Smart Step at before training and after training. Wilcoxon signed rank test was used to analyze change before and after intervention in intra-group. Kruskal Wallis H test, Mann-Whitney U test and Bonfferoni correction were used to analyze changes of all variables in inter-groups. Result: The experimental group 1 showed significant improvements in postural sway area, BBS scores, walking velocity and plantar pressures of affected foot, whereas the experimental group 2 showed significant improvements in BBS scores, and the control group were no significantly different in all variables following training. The changes of postural sway area and BBS scores in the experimental group 1 were significantly greater than them of the control group. The changes of postural sway area in the experimental group 1 was significantly greater than that of the experimental group 2. Conclusion: The result of this study suggest the task-related circuit exercise program combined with sensorimotor training is an effective intervention to improve balance and gait in stoke patients.

운동실조형 뇌성마비 아동의 이중과제훈련에 의한 균형 및 일상생활활동의 변화 : 사례보고 (Changes in the Balance and Activities of Daily Living on Children with Ataxic Cerebral Palsy from Dual Task Training : Case Study)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study has been performed to find the changes in the balance and activities of daily living on children with ataxic cerebral palsy from dual task training. Methods : This study selects 3 subjects for 7.6 years old who were diagnosed with children with ataxic cerebral palsy. The dual task training applied three times a week for six weeks to ataxic cerebral palsy. To assess changes in balance, we performed the length and surface area ellipse of central of pressure, Pediatric Balance Scale, We also assessed activities of daily living using Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory. Result : There were statistically significant differences in the changes during training period for the static(length and surface area ellipse of central of pressure) and functional balance(PBS). There were statistically significant differences in the changes during training period for the Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory including self-care and mobility domains, except for social function domain. Conclusion : The results from this case study suggest that dual task training may have a beneficial changes on balance and activities of daily living for children with ataxic cerebral palsy.

동작관찰 과제지향훈련이 만성 뇌졸중환자의 균형 및 보행능력에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Action-Observational Task Oriented Training on Balance and Gait Ability in Patients with Chronic Stroke)

  • Purpose : This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of an task oriented training program combined with action-observation on balance and gait ability of patients with chronic stroke. Method : The subjects of this study were 30 patients with hemiplegia who agreed to participate and were picked up. Participants were randomly divided into equal groups; namely, an experimental group that underwent task oriented training combined with action-observation for at least 30 minutes/day for 6 weeks and a control group that underwent general task-oriented training. Patients' balance was assessed using the Sway Length, Sway Area and Limit of Stability test. In addition, gait ability was assessed using the 10 Meter Walking Test to measure the taken to walk 10 meters. Gait time and speed taken to walk 10 meters were used to examine gait ability. Results : There were significant improvements in the subscales of the balance and gait ability test of those who participated in the action-observational training program, while the control group showed only significant changes in the evaluation items of the sway length in eyes opened condition and gait time. Conclusion : Therefore, Action-observational training program effectively improved the balance and gait ability in patients with stroke.

수원 권업모범장의 공간변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Spatial Change of the Agricultural Experimental Organizations in Suwon)

  • The Agricultural Experimental Organizations[勸業模範場] in Suwon is Korea's first agricultural promotion facility. It was founded in 1906. This study aim to find the area and spatial composition of 勸業模範場. The results are as follows. When it founded, the Agricultural Experimental Organizations was operated centering on the main hall, and then since the pillage of national sovereignty in 1910, it was moved to the jurisdiction of the Japanese Government General of Korea and operated with the addition of the agricultural/forestry school. In 1913, the reductive egg production/distribution was moved from Yongsan branch to Suwon, and reductive egg producing site and female sericulture training office were installed in Suwon. It is supposed that at the time, the Agricultural Experimental Organizations was divided into the main hall-centered area, the Suwon agricultural/forestry school at the south side, and the reductive egg producing site and female sericulture training office even more down south. Since 1920, the agricultural/forestry school came out of the jurisdiction of the Agricultural Experimental Organizations, such that the Agricultural Experimental Organizations was left with only the main hall-centered area and the area with the reductive egg producing site and female sericulture training office. In this study, these two areas are referred to as 'the main hall area' and 'the sericulture area.

전전두엽 EEG-뉴로피드백 훈련과 유아의 뇌기능 및 지능발달에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Prefrontal EEG-Neurofeedback on Development of Infants' Brain Function and Intelligence)

  • 본 연구는 뉴로피드백 훈련이 유아의 뇌 기능과 지능에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구로 첫째, 뉴로피드백 훈련이 유아의 뇌 기능에 어떤 변화를 주는지를 검증하였으며, 둘째, 한국 웩슬러유아지능검사(K-WPPSI: Korean Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence)를 통해 뉴로피드백 훈련이 유아의 지능 발달에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 분석하였다. 본 연구는 천안 소재의 J 유치원에 재원중인 만5세 유아 60명을 대상으로, 2008년 4월 21일부터 12월 12일에 걸쳐 뉴로피드백 훈련 지침에 따라 훈련을 실시하였다. 뉴로피드백 훈련 전과 후의 뇌기능지수와 지능을 분석하였으며, 통계분석은 SPSS for Window 13.0 패키지를 사용하여 t-검증을 통해 분석하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 뇌기능 지수 전체를 종합 평가한 브레인지수는 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나, 뉴로피드백 훈련이 유아의 뇌 기능 발달에 매우 효과적인 방법임을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 뉴로피드백 훈련이 동작성 지능 지수 중 도형 영역, 미로 영역, 빠진 곳 찾기 영역은 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 종합적인 평가 지수인 동작성 지능 지수도 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 이러한 실험 결과는 뉴로피드백 훈련이 동작성 지능 지수 발달에 매우 효과적인 방법임을 알 수 있었고, 세째, 뉴로피드백 훈련은 언어성 지능 지수 중 공통성 영역만 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

광주지역의 구직자 훈련 프로그램 이수자 만족도와 취업률간의 관계: NCS 수준의 조절효과 (Relationship between Completers' Satisfaction of Job Training Programs and Training Performance in Gwangju Area: The Moderating Role of NCS Level)

  • 본 연구는 구직자 훈련 프로그램 만족도가 취업률과 같은 객관적인 취업 성과에 미치는 영향을 실증하는데 있다. 또한 구직자 훈련 프로그램 만족도와 취업률 간의 관계가 조절되는 경계조건을 규명하기 위하여 NCS 수준을 조절변수로 고려하여 분석하였다. 연구 모형의 분석을 위해 이용된 자료는 HRD-Net에서 제공하는 2016년도 광주지역 구직자 훈련 프로그램 중에서 취업률 정보가 제공되어 있는 513개의 훈련 프로그램이다. 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 모형에 포함된 주요 변인들의 특성을 살펴보면, 훈련 프로그램의 총합 만족도 점수는 4.46을 보여주고 있다. 훈련 프로그램의 NCS 수준은 2~6수준에 분포되어 있었으며, 3수준과 4수준이 각각 45.4%와 36.4% 순으로 가장 많았고 평균은 3.32로 나타났다. 둘째, 훈련 프로그램에 대한 만족도는 취업률 측정 시점에 관계없이 취업률에 유의한 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났으나, 훈련 프로그램 만족도와 취업률간의 관계는 NCS 수준에 따라 조절되는 상호작용 효과(interaction effect)가 유의하게 도출되었다. 이는 훈련 프로그램 만족도가 취업률에 미치는 주효과(main effect)는 유의하지 않았지만, NCS 수준이 높은 경우에는 훈련 프로그램 만족도가 취업률에 유의한 영향을 미친다고 볼 수 있다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 훈련 프로그램 만족도에 기초한 훈련 프로그램의 질 관리 및 만족도 활용의 정교화 필요성에 대한 시사점을 제공하였으며, 궁극적으로 만족도가 취업률 향상과 연계시킬 수 있는 방안을 제언하였다.

운동학습에 의한 왼쪽 하전두영역의 분할비등방성의 변화 (Change of Fractional Anisotropy in the Left Inferior Frontal Area after Motor Learning)

  • Purpose: This study was to delineate the structural change of neural pathway after sequential motor learning using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). Methods: The participants were 16 healthy subjects, which were divided by training (n=8) and control (n=8) group. The task for the training was the Serial Reaction Time Task (SRTT) which was designed by Superlab program. When the 'asterisk' shows up in the 4 partition spaces on the monitor, the subject presses the correct response button as soon as possible. The training group participated in the training program of motor learning with SRTT composed of 24 digits pattern in one hour per daily through 10 days during 2 weeks. Results: In the behavioral results the training group showed significant changes in the increase of response number and the reduction of response time than those of the control group. There was significant difference in the left inferior frontal area in the fractional anisotropy (FA) map of the training group in DTI analysis. Conclusion: Motor sequential learning as like SRTT may be needed to the learning of language and visuospatial processing and may be induced for the experience-dependent structural plasticity during short period.
