Collision Probability md Traffic Processing Time Analysis for RFID System using FHSS Scheme (FHSS 방식을 채용한 RFID 시스템의 충돌 확률 및 트래픽 처리 시간 해석)

  • In this paper, a collision probability, processing time and traffic capacity analysis algorithm for RFID system using random FHSS and synchronous FHSS is proposed. Service time, duty cycle, traffic intensity and additional delay time required for re-transmission due to collision are considered and the processing delay and frequency channel capacity are analyzed for the steady state operation of the system. The simulation results which show maximum capacity of the system and explain the accuracy of the algorithm are provided.

Analysis of the Effects of Scrambled Crosswalk Installation Depending on the Types of Intersections Using VISSIM (교차로 유형별 대각선횡단보도 설치효과 분석 (차량소통측면))

  • PURPOSES : In this study, the effects of installation of diagonal crosswalks on traffic flow depending on the types of intersections are analyzed. METHODS : Scrambled crosswalks have advantages in the traffic safety. Therefore, a comparative analysis of the overall average delay before and after installation of the scrambled crosswalk was conducted using VISSIM. RESULTS : The overall average delay for the scrambled crosswalk decreased when the traffic volume ratio of the major to the minor street is 1: 6 in 2-by-1 and 3-by-1 types of intersections. The scrambled crosswalk improved efficiency of traffic operation in intersections: higher traffic volume for a major street, lower traffic volume for a minor street, and longer cross-distance for a major street. CONCLUSIONS:This study can be used to determine when a scrambled crosswalk should be installed to improve operational efficiency.

  • Network management for detail analysis can cause speed decline of application in case of lack band width by traffic increase of the explosive Internet. Because a manager requests MIB value for the desired objects to an agent by management policy, and then the agent responds to the manager. Such processes are repeated, so it can cause increase of network traffic. Specially, repetitious occurrence of sending-receiving information is very inefficient for a same object when a trend analysis of traffic is performed. In this paper, an efficient SNMP is proposed to add new PDUs into the existing SNMP in order to accept time function. Utilizing this PDU, it minimizes unnecessary sending-receiving message and collects information for trend management of network efficiently.   • In China, the government has aggressively led the construction and expansion of airports across China. Upon this opportunity, "Korea-China" network is expected to expand. Therefore this study tried to deduce implications for Incheon International Airport by expansion of "Korea-China" traffic rights. As a result of analyzing the exchange values of traffic rights on the "Incheon~Beijing/Chengdu" routes, it was found that there is a concern that Chinese airlines could make inroads into Korean airline's market. In both routes, Korean airline's market share and passenger demand increased while the sales decreased after expanding traffic rights. On the other hand, Chinese airlines showed an increase in sales and a larger passenger growth than Korean airlines. Therefore it is necessary for the government to expand the traffic rights through detailed route value analysis.

  • An analysis of covariance and Pearson correlation coefficient were performed to identify the relationship between both variables: traffic volume and crack. For this, it was carried out to analyse 216 tunnel inspection/diagnosis results with respect to the traffic. As a result, it has been proven that traffic volume and cracks in concrete linings are highly correlated. Therefore, it is recommended to consider traffic volume in planning of preemptive maintenance such as crack repair, etc.

  • By materials of traffic safety public corporation, from 2007. 1. 1 to 2007 12. 31, for a year. traffic accidents took place in korea were 211,662 accidents. By this 6,166 people were death, and 335,906 people were wounded. In Gwangju metropolitan city, in 2007 year, 7,881 accidents took place and 152 people were death and 12,728 peoples were wounded, in 2008 year, 8,231 accidents took place and 138 people were death and 13,533 people were wounded. Death people reduced but accidents numbers were in creased 4.4%. Meanwhile, government did various traffic policies to reduce traffic accident. But still, disgrace of underdeveloped country in traffic division couldn't take off. Moreover, traffic safety unconcern of general country people are very deficient. In this research, as the basis of Gwangju province police agency, in traffic accident the present state, I am' going to analyse the part of directly related to citizen life and centering death accident and to present traffic police activities for prevention of traffic accidents.

  • Packet sampling is the techniques to collect a part of the packets through network and analyze the characteristicsof the traffic for managing the network and keeping security. This paper presents a study on the sampling techniques applied to DDoS traffic and on the characteristics of the sampled traffic to detect DDoS attack efficiently and improve traffic analysis capacity. Three famous sampling techniques are evaluated with different sampling rates on various DDoS traffics. To analyze traffic characteristics, one of the DDoS attack detection method. Traffic Rate Analysis (TRA) is used. Simulation results verify that using sampling techniques preserve the traffic characteristics of DDoS and do not significantly reduce the detection accuracy.

  • In previous research, we analyzed traffic accident characteristics in the Chungcheong region through factor analysis, cluster analysis, and a questionnaire using traffic accident analysis system data to enhance Korea's traffic safety. Based on the analysis results, we investigated the design and application of traffic safety technology in non-urban areas in this study. Three technologies are proposed to improve traffic safety facilities for the region: a recognition light at pedestrian crossing works, a recognition light on the road for the underprivileged in traffic works, and a safety LED sign for operation of agricultural machine works. Each technology complements the light pollution problem about snow removal and road safety when applied to existing facilities in the non-urban areas. Solar-based indigenous technology is expected to contribute to road safety in rural areas.

  • Currently network users, especially the number of internet users, increase rapidly. Also, high quality of service is required and this requirement results a sudden network traffic increment. As a result, an efficient management system for huge network traffic becomes an important issue. Ontology/data engineering based context awareness using the System Entity Structure (SES) concepts enables network administrators to access traffic data easily and efficiently. The network traffic analysis system, which is studied in this paper, is designed and implemented based on a model and simulation using data engineering methodology to be avaiable in evaluating large network traffic data. Extensible Markup Language (XML) is used for metadata language in this system. The information which is extracted from the network traffic analysis system could be modeled and simulated in Discrete Event Simulation (DEVS) methodology for further works such as post simulation evaluation, web services, and etc.

Macroscopic-Microscopic Sequential Traffic Simulation Analysis and Dynamic O/D Estimation for Sub-area (거시-미시 순차적 교통시뮬레이션 방법과 부분상세지구의 동적 O/D추정)

  • The study suggested a method to improve analysis accuracy such that the interactive effects of transportation changes between outside and inside of sub-areas were sequentially considered in the analysis by linking a macroscopic network analysis and a microscopic traffic simulation. A dynamic O/D estimation method was developed for practical implement of sub-area microscopic simulation analysis by using the results of macroscopic network analysis, the results of selected link analysis at the cordon line of the sub-area, departure time data of household travel survey, timely observed traffic volume data at the cordon. This estimated dynamic O/D for the sub-area made it possible to analyze traffic phenomena in details. Various detailed phenomena such as traffic queues, delay at intersection, and conflicts between vehicles, which is impossible to be grasped through a macroscopic analysis, can be analyzed with the dynamic microscopic traffic analysis. Through implementing an empirical study and validation, the study provided a reference result about accuracy of a microscopic traffic simulation of a sub-area to help its application for real transportation policy analysis.
