Bahunia racemosa family, Caesalpiniaceae, is one of the precious resources of the earth. It has played a significant role in human civilization since ancient times. It is tall sized tree growing throughout India, Ceylon, China, and Timor. The different part of this plant contains β-sitosterol and β-amyrin, flavonols (kaempferol and quercetin) and two coumarins (scopoletin and scopolin), tannins etc. Various part of this plant has great pharmacological potential with a great utility and usage as folklore medicine as analgesic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and antimicrobial activity. This review mainly focus on the exclusive review work on the traditional, phytochemical and pharmacological activities of this plant.

Morinda tinctoria Roxb. (Family: Rubiaceae) is commonly known as Indian mulberry or Aal in India. This plant is very well known for its therapeutic benefit in Indian systems of medicine including Ayurveda and Siddha and in other forms of traditional Medicine worldwide for the treatment of several ailments. Almost all parts of this plant have been explored for its medicinal uses. Several reports on the phytochemical and therapeutic benefits of this plant have been reported. In this article an attempt has been made to review the traditional uses, phytochemical profiles and therapeutic potentials of Indian mulberry.

Korean Traditional Confectionary is a part of our traditional culture taking a great part in our food culture for a while. However, it is now barely maintaining its name. In this research, a new consumption trend 'Well-being' is adopted to suggest the ways to develop the Korean Traditional Confectionary industry. This research intends to find out what effects the 'Well-being' trend, which originated from interest in health, have on Korean Traditional Confectionary selection. A survey includes the questions about the Well-being trend, selection and uses of Korean Traditional Confectionary, and demographic data. This research conducted analysis on 249 people who have used Korean Traditional Confectionary in Busan and Kyeongnam Province to find out effects of the Well-being trend on Korean Traditional Confectionary selection. This empirical study showed that the Well-being trend has some effects on Korean Traditional Confectionary selection while it has the greatest effects on healthy properties and commercial values of Korean Traditional Confectionary.

The purpose of this study is to figure out the actual situation of possession and use of traditional living appliances in the rural area, so as to provide plans for preservation and succession of traditional living appliances. The data were collected from 200 households in 8 rural areas classified by geographical zone. Traditional living appliances were divided into clothing.food.housing living appliances, play tools, and the others. As a result, the degree of using the traditional living appliances is 46.5%(in respect of "often use"). The need for preserving and using the traditional living appliances in modern society was 68.5%(in respect of "a little need"). The level of preservation and use of the traditional living appliances was relatively low except for food living appliances. In conclusion, the suggested directions for developing traditional goods to preserve and succeed traditional living appliances are as follows; ${\circled1}$ Developing traditional living goods peculiar to a certain locality ${\circled2}$ Developing goods with various uses; display, ornament, living appliances, memorial, etc. ${\circled3}$ Developing goods on the process and technique of making traditional living appliances. ${\circled4}$ Providing information and education on excellance of traditional living appliances.

In early design stage, the simulation of interior noise is useful for the enhancement of the noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) performance in a vehicle. The traditional transfer path analysis (TPA) technology cannot simulate the interior noise since it uses the experimental method. In order to solve this problem, in this paper, the hybrid TPA is developed as the novel approach. The hybrid TPA uses the simulated excitation force as the input force, which excites the flexible body of a car at the mount point, while the traditional TPA uses the measured force. This simulated force is obtained by numerical analysis for the FE (finite element) model of a powertrain. The interior noise is predicted by multiplying the simulated force by the vibro-acoustic transfer function (VATF) of the vehicle. The VATF is the acoustic response in the compartment of a car to the input force at the mount point of the powertrain in the flexible car body. The trend of the predicted interior noise based on the hybrid TPA very well corresponds to the measured interior noise, although there is some difference due to not only the experimental error and the simulation error but also the effect of the air-borne path.

A pulse is generated when the heart pumps blood into the arterial system. The heart pumps blood only when it contracts, not when it relaxes; therefore, blood enters the arterial system in a cyclical form. Artery beating is visible in some parts of the body surface, such as the radial artery of the wrist. This paper mainly uses the feature in which near-infrared spectroscopy penetrates skin to construct a non-invasive measurement system that can measure small vibration in the subcutaneous tissue of the human body, and then uses it for the pulse measurement. This measurement system uses the optical moir$\acute{e}$ principle, together with the fringe displacement made by small vibration in the subcutaneous tissue, and an image analysis program to calculate the height variation from small vibrations in the subcutaneous tissue. It completes a measurement system that records height variation with time, and that together with a fast Fourier transform (FFT) program, they can convert the pulse waveform generated by vibration (time-amplitude) to heartbeat frequency (frequency-amplitude). This is a new and non-invasive medical assistance system for measuring the pulse of the human body, with the advantages of being simple, fast, safe and objective.

Excellence of the Korean traditional paper(Hanji) can be proved by literatures and legacies handed down from generations. However, with the problems pertaining to a majority of traditional manufactures, Hanji industry was declined because of low productivity, insufficient supply of raw material , and reduced demand. therefore, modernizxation of the Hanji technology and development of new uses are very important. This study was carried to investigated the papermaking characteristics of Morus spp.(M.alba, M.Bombycis, and M.Ihou) for new Hanji, modernize manufacturing process of Hanji by grafting on developed modern pulping and papermaking technology, develop the various uses, and establish the foundation for development of high value-added products. Hanji is made from M.Ihou, while stalk , and sulfomethylated pulp gave better sheet formation and higher brightness than those of the others. Physical properties of Hanji which made from bast fiber pulps were better than those of whole stalk pulps. Hanji which made from M.bombycis bast fiber and whole stalk pulps were not so good sheet strength as other species. Sulfomethylated whole stalk pulps were shown better sheet strength than alkali and alkali-hydrogen peroxide whole stalk pulps.

The importance of EDI has been so emphasized that we need exchange/maintain electronic documents effectively, and convert then to other formats. The traditional EDI, however, is facing on the limitation of growth because of it's high expense, and the closenees of sharing information. The EDls of next generation, like open EDI, object-oriented EDI, and Internet EDI, have appeared to solve these problems. Finally, XML/EDl, which is very effective to solve these kinds of problems, is now replacing the traditional EDI and the HTML in Internet and is influencing on e-Business. So, we are going to suggest a solution which uses XML/EDl as a substitute for the traditional one. First, we analyzed the problems of the traditional EDI system and organized the structure of XML/EDl system. Next, we have developed the prototype of Internet bookstore to show the effectiveness and strength of XML/EDl over the traditional EDI.

This thesis analyzed the research method of Janggaebin(張介賓), a Traditional Chinese Medical expert in Ming Dynasty who studied traditional Chinese medicine in the perspective of Yeokri(易理). In his research, he mainly uses Hado(河圖), Nakseo(洛書) and Eight Diagrams to study medicine issues, the theory of Taegeuk(太極) figures to research natural evolvement, the ancient astronomy and calendar to explain the difficult problems in the theory of Ungi(運氣). This thesis has great value in understanding Janggaebin's medical thoughts and can guide further research on investigating the common root between traditional Chinese medicine and Yeokri.
