The aims of this study were to develop $macaron{\grave{e}}$ with Korean red pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) and GABA (${\gamma}$-aminobutyric acid) rice powder and analyze their physico-chemical and physiological characteristics. Korean red pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) was added to $macaron{\grave{e}}$ at a weight percentage of 0, 2.5 and 4.5%. Color values (L-value, redness, and yellowness), total sugar content, total phenolics, total carotenoids, ABTS radical scavenging activity, textures, and sensory characteristics with varying various Korean red pepper were measured. As the ratio of the powders in the $macaron{\grave{e}}s$ increased, total phenolic content, total carotenoid content, and radical scavenging activity increased. There were significant differences in total phenolic and total carotenoid content of $macaron{\grave{e}}s$ (p<0.05). Sensory evaluation indicated significant differences (p<0.05) in color, sweetness, texture, and overall acceptability depending on the addition of Korean red pepper. KR30 $macaron{\grave{e}}$, showed higher overall acceptability, as compared to other $macaron{\grave{e}}$.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to determine the changes in ultrasound imaging of the lower limbs in patients with degenerative osteoarthritis who received a total knee replacement (TKR). Methods : The participants for the study were ten patients who were to receive a total knee replacement. Measurements were taken a total of three times: before receiving a total knee replacement, and one week and two weeks after receiving a total knee replacement. The vastus medialis, rectus femoris muscle, tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius muscle were measured using ultrasound imaging. Results : Muscle thickness of the vastus medialis, rectus femoris muscle, tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius muscle had no significant interaction over time whether surgery was performed or not. White area index (WAI) and density of vastus medialis, rectus femoris muscle, tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius muscle had no significant interaction over time whether surgery was performed or not. Conclusion : In conclusion, lower quality muscles were due to a decrease in muscle fiber and an increase in fat fiber. Therefore, initial physical therapy after total knee replacement should consider this point and be designed appropriately as a therapeutic approach for total knee replacement patients.

Three leptocephali (22.2, 22.7, 56.0 mm in total length) collected from the East/Japan Sea were identified by morphological and genetic analyses as belonging to the genus Scolecenchelys (Anguilliformes, Ophichthidae). Morphologically, the specimens were characterized by 148-158 myomeres, 10 gut swellings, dorsal fin origin above middle of the body, and 6 postanal melanophores between the anus and the caudal margin. An analysis of an 849-base pair 12S rRNA sequence of mitochondrial DNA showed that sequences are concordant with those of adult Scolecenchelys fuscogularis (genetic distance = 0.001). Furthermore total number of myomeres is consistent with the total number of vertebrae in adult S. fuscogularis. This study provides the first description of the morphological characteristics of S. fuscogularis leptocephali and their variations with size. The Korean name of S. fuscogularis is "Ga-neun-mul-baem", established by Ji et al. (2012).

Biomonitoring of nonylphenol (NP), an endocrine disrupting chemical, is required in Korea to perform its proper regulation. Thus, we analyzed exposure levels of nonlyphenol (NP) in breast milk from the mothers who delivered babies within 10 days (N=325). We analyzed free and total forms of NP in breast milk with LC/MS/MS (LOD, 0.5 ppb). In addition, we obtained questionnaires concerning lifestyle from the subject. As results, ranges of total NP were ${\mu}g/L$ (median, $3.51{\pm}4.98{\mu}g/L$ vs. normal, N=281, $2.07{\pm}3.76{\mu}g/L$; p<0.05). In conclusion, we suggest that exposure monitoring of NP should be continuously performed, even though the risks of NP are not clear, yet.

This study was carried out to review and evaluate a total of 2,463 cases of human chromosomal analysis at Kwangju Christian Hospital from 1974 to 2004. We collected 2.0-3.0ml of human peripheral blood in heparized bottle. Then, we cultured it for 72 hours. We performed GTG-banding and chromosomal kayotyping analysis by Cytovision kayotyping system. Abnormal karyotypes were observed in 30.5% of the total cases (750/2,463). Autosome and sex chromosome anomalies were observed in 25.8% (635/2,463) and 4.7% (115/2,463) respectively. In a total of 2463 cases, there were 522 (22.4%) cases of Down's syndrome karyotype, and 67 (2.7%) cases of Turner syndrome. In conclusion, Down's syndrome has decreased after the end of the 1990s, but other (Turner syndrome et al.) chromosomal abnormal cases haven't decreased after the1970s.

The aim of this study was to examine the role of celebrity's traits on food service enterprises' media engagement, advertising effect (AD effect) and purchasing intention. Based on advance research, structural model of relationship between celebrity's traits and media engagement, AD effect and promotion of purchase was developed among the proposed constructs. Few empirical studies have been conducted to test the model. Date collection of study was from June 1st, 2017 to June 30th, distributing total of 300 issues and collecting total of 290 issues. Total of 271 questionnaires were used as the final analysis data as the nineteen questionnaires included missing information. The results can be summarized as follows: Celebrity's Traits significantly affected media engagement, AD effect and purchasing intentions. More specifically, mediating effect among the celebrity's traits and AD effect which came from media engagement was valid only if the subject of advertising effectiveness was on brands attitude. Based on the findings, theoretical and managerial implications were discussed to make one conclusion. As the media engagement was identified as a mediator between celebrity's traits and AD effect, certain brands which tend to enhance their AD effectivity should liaison proper celebrity.

This is a case report of total anomalous pulmonary venous drainage with Atrial septal defect, which was corrected surgically by intracardiac procedure under total cardiopulmonary bypass. This 9 years old girl, she complained mild cyanosis, exertional dyspnea, and frequent upper respiratory infection from 3 months age. The chest X-ray showed cardiomegaly and a "snow man appearance", she has systolic murmur with splitting of S2. The diagnosis was confirmed with right heart catheterization, the catheter was reached to right pulmonic vein passed through right atrium, right superior vena cava, innominate vein, left superior vena cava, and common venous trunk. On 28th, Dec. 1979, an anastomosis between common pulmonary venous trunk and left atrium, Pericardial patch closure of ASD, and ligation of left superior vena cava were performed with Extra-corporeal circulation. The postoperative course was uneventful and discharged with excellent general condition.Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Drainage with A.S.D. with A.S.D.

Objective : Intracranial hemangiopericytomas (HPCs) are rare tumors with aggressive behavior, including local recurrence and distant metastasis. We conducted this retrospective study to evaluate the efficacy of grossly total resection and adjuvant radiotherapy (RT) for these tumors. Methods : A total of 13 patients treated for intracranial HPC from January 1995 through May 2013 were included in this retrospective study. We analyzed the clinical presentations, radiologic appearances, treatment results, and follow-up outcomes, as well as reviewed other studies. Results : The ages of the patients at the time of diagnosis ranged from 26 to 73 years (mean : 48 years). The majority of the patients were male (92.3%), and the majority of the tumors were located in the parasagittal and falx. The ratio of intracranial HPCs to meningiomas was 13 : 598 in same period, or 2.2%. Seven patients (53.8%) had anaplastic HPCs. Nine patients (69.2%) underwent gross total tumor resection in the first operation without mortality. Eleven patients (84.6%) underwent postoperative adjuvant RT. Follow-up period ranged from 13 to 185 months (mean : 54.3 months). The local recurrence rate was 46.2% (6/13), and there were no distant metastases. The 10-year survival rate after initial surgery was 83.9%. The initial mean Karnofsky performance scale (KPS) was 70.8 and the final mean KPS was 64.6. Conclusion : Gross total tumor resection upon initial surgery is very important. We believe that adjuvant RT is helpful even with maximal tumor resection. Molecular biologic analyses and chemotherapy studies are required to achieve better outcomes in recurrent intracranial HPCs.
