Objective : The blood-brain barrier (BBB) is an obstacle for molecules to pass through from blood to the brain. Focused ultrasound is a new method which temporarily opens the BBB, which makes pharmaceutical delivery or removal of neurodegenerative proteins possible. This study was demonstrated to review our BBB opening procedure with magnetic resonance guided images and find specific patterns in the BBB opening. Methods : In this study, we reviewed the procedures and results of two clinical studies on BBB opening using focused ultrasound regarding its safety and clinical efficacy. Magnetic resonance images were also reviewed to discover any specific findings. Results : Two clinical trials showed clinical benefits. All clinical trials demonstrated safe BBB opening, with no specific side effects. Magnetic resonance imaging showed temporary T1 contrast enhancement in the sonication area, verifying the BBB opening. Several low-signal intensity spots were observed in the T2 susceptibility-weighted angiography images, which were also reversible and temporary. Although these spots can be considered as microbleeding, evidence suggests these are not ordinary microbleeding but an indicator for adequate BBB opening. Conclusion : Magnetic resonance images proved safe and efficient BBB opening in humans, using focused ultrasound.

This study attempts to classify 1008 alley markets in Seoul through cluster analysis using Dynamic Time Warping, one of the methods used to analyze the similarity of time series, and evaluate the possibility of opening new stores. The sequence of the gross sales of an alley market and that of gross sales per store stand for the potential of growth and profitability of the market, respectively and are used as variables for cluster analysis. Five clusters are obtained for the gross sales and four clusters for the gross sales per store. These two types of clusters are again classified as rising and falling trends, respectively, and the combination of these trends produces four categories. These categories are used to evaluate the possibility of opening new stores in alley markets. The results show that the southeast which is relatively wealthy inferior to other regions in opening new stores. Alley markets in the northeast and the southwest are better than other regions such that opening a new store is justified. In the northwest, there are many markets with trend of gross sales and that of gross sales per store moving in opposite directions, and new store openings in these markets should be postponed.
The aeroelastic stability of a long-span suspension footbridge with a bluff deck (prototype section) was examined through static and dynamic wind tunnel tests using a 1:10 scale sectional model of the main girder, and the corresponding aerodynamic countermeasures were proposed in order to improve the stability. First, dynamic tests of the prototype sectional model in vertical and torsional motions were carried out at three attack angles (α = 3°, 0°, -3°). The results show that the galloping instability of the sectional model occurs at α = 3° and 0°, an observation that has never been made before. Then, the various aerodynamic countermeasures were examined through the dynamic model tests. It was found that the openings set on the vertical web of the prototype section (web-opening section) mitigate the galloping completely for all three attack angles. Finally, static tests of both the prototype and web-opening sectional models were performed to obtain the aerodynamic coefficients, which were further used to investigate the galloping mechanism by applying the Den Hartog criterion. The total damping of the prototype and web-opening models were obtained with consideration of the structural and aerodynamic damping. The total damping of the prototype model was negative for α = 0° to 7°, with the minimum value being -1.07%, suggesting the occurrence of galloping, while that of the web-opening model was positive for all investigated attack angles of α = -12° to 12°.

We present following research summary and implications through the analysis of the research. First, the before the opening of public cremation facilities compared to new opening of those, the number of the corpse cremation increases to annual average of 5.5% of the rate, and it has a positive effect on increasing rate of the cremation. Therefore, a policy of expanding the supply of public cremation facilities should be pursued to improve cremation rate in the area of uninstalled public cremation facilities. Second, the before the opening of public cremation facilities compared to new opening of those, the number of the corpse cremation has increased to the annual average 3,623 people(56.9%) at jurisdiction area, while it has decreased to 949 people (28.3%) at the out of the jurisdiction area. The active efforts and building the funding expansion should be made to establish public cremation facilities of the central and local governments to improve convenience of the use of public cremation facilities. Third, since the before and after opening of public cremation facilities at Jeongeup City lead to great effect on demand of jurisdiction area and out of the jurisdiction area, the cremation demand should be reduced through the supply expansion of public cremation facilities and differentiation strategy to control cremation demand at the out of the jurisdiction area, focusing on metropolitan areas with high cremation demand, such as metropolitan areas or metropolitan cities.
There hardly have been support policies for small wholesale vendors or any materials such as proper statistical standards and figures compared to diversity of support policies and size of budget for small and medium manufacturing business. The biggest concern coming from it is that there have never been any policies for small and medium wholesale vendors. This study proposes some ways to improve support policies through investigating the current status of those vendors as their true values haven't been properly recognized, while diverse support systems have been devised for manufacturing business thanks to the traditional industrial development process. According to the study on support policies for domestic and international small and medium wholesale vendors, I realized that those vendors need a policy to ensure them to be promptly adjusted to the rapidly changing distribution environment and to be competitive to access to the global distribution market to finally become hidden champions through systematical operations of small and medium wholesale vendors and implementing educational business through sales management. Therefore, I propose five ways to improve support policies for small and medium wholesale vendors by considering social and economic value, systematizing small wholesalers and scaling small and medium wholesale vendors, reinforcing support for wholesalers, support policies for new online market opening and offline market opening.
Hydrogen risk in the containment filtered venting system (CFVS) vessel was analyzed, considering operation pressure and modes with the effect of PAR and accident scenarios. The CFVS is to depressurize the containment by venting the containment atmosphere through the filtering system. The CFVS could be subject to hydrogen risk due to the change of atmospheric conditions while the containment atmosphere passes through the CFVS. It was found that hydrogen risk increased as the CFVS opening pressure was set higher because more combustible gases generated by Molten Core Concrete Interaction flowed into the CFVS. Hydrogen risk was independent of operation modes and found only at the early phase of venting both for continuous and cyclic operation modes. With PAR, hydrogen risk appeared only at the 0.9 MPa opening pressure for Station Black-Out accidents. Without PAR, however, hydrogen risk appeared even with the CFVS opening set-point of 0.5 MPa. In a slow accident like SBO, hydrogen risk was more threatening than a fast accident like Large Break Loss-of-Coolant Accident. Through this study, it is recommended to set the CFVS opening pressure lower than 0.9 MPa and to operate it in the cyclic mode to keep the CFVS available as long as possible.
The objective of this study is to understand bodily extension and identity in contemporary fashion art through the analysis of 'the fashion acting on the body' among the fashion theory excluding body and the conspicuous works on the opening and covering images as a fashion art as a body-space'. This study also investigated identity problems where there are poles apart in opening and closure their bodies and body-space in which its clothing types were distorted by being de-bodilization out of the traditional and ideological expression method in contemporary fashion art from a opening and closure point of view. Image of opening and closure among body-space in fashion art can be classified into opposing structure of opening and closure. Destroying the boundary between bodily opening and closure for a primary function of clothing and dismantling the role and boundary between body and clothing, opening body-space in appearance as a reemergence of body image or the border between inner and outer are being ambiguous because of transparent material. Being representative work of this study opening body-space was expressed as an opening space image using transparency. On the contrary, closure body-space was isolated from external environment and confined in the certain space, which could limit or restraint body- action. Excluding boundary of body and clothing on the whole or in part, boundary of work becomes body-space. However, these were appeared to be a work inducing unlimited curiosity and meaning from the audience. The interpretation of artistic and body-space in fashion art are indicating the role and function of the fashion art exceeding the suggestible dimensions in the every day life of fashion. The body-space of fashion art showing similar aspect of body art today could be understood that it is substituted into an metaphorical, critical space by seeing it as a symbol system connected with social space. Therefore, contemporary fashion art should be interpreted as an equivocal space looking at the body-space with open mind.

The school classroom is a common living place where students spend 7 to 14 hours a day to prepare for their careers. Therefore, if the ventilation of the classroom is not properly performed, it may lead to the deterioration of learning ability due to the unclear air. The concentration of carbon dioxide in the classroom is reported to be high, and the increase in carbon dioxide concentration has a negative effect on the learner's academic performance. In this context, the purpose of this study is to propose a methodology for intelligent and responsive window opening-closing operation process that can reduce the concentration of $CO_2$ in the classroom in order to build a support space that can create an effective teaching-learning environment for adolescents. The specific objectives are as follows. First of all, we define the concept of window opening-closing operation. Secondly, twe develop the operation process of window opening-closing. Thirdly, we develop an algorithm for real-time window opening and closing (process) (Window Opening-Closing Operation Process). Finally, we verify the intelligent responsive window opening-closing operation process through developing examples of window opening-closing operation process using the parametric design program. This study is a preliminary study to develop algorithms necessary for window opening-closing operation. Based on the first-order algorithm, We simulated window opening-closing operations according to a hypothetical scenario. As a result, This study can show that the window is open and close depending on the $CO_2$ concentration, but the $CO_2$ concentration in the room is higher than outdoors. Consequentially, we suggest that it is necessary to develop an algorithm to supplement these results because window is often not working when the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor in winter is large.
A 42-year old male patient was referred to the Department of Oral Medicine, Kyungpook National University Hospital due to the chief complaint of limite mouth opening. Three years ago, the patient was diagnosed as an infarction of both cerefellar hemispheres, acute obstructive hydrocephalus and acute epidural hematoma of frontal lobe at the department of neurosurgery.Both of the infarcted cerevellar hemispheres and the epidural hematoma of frontal lobe were removed with suboccipital and frontal craniectomu. After the brain surgery jaw opening range was decreased progressively and ultimately mouth opening became almost impossible. Spasmodic and rhythmic contractions of the masseter muscles occurred intermittently during daytime as well as sleeping. Food intake was available only through Levin -tube. Actibe jaw opening exercise was prescribed with the aids of tongue blades. A moist hot pack and indomethacin phonophesis were also applied 20 minutes three times a day to decrease discomfort muscle activities. After a month of treatments, the opening range was increased to 5mm at the premolar area and oral food intake was possibel. The L-tube was removed and the patient was discharged.

Optimal transducer positions are important as much as the control algorithms and hardware performance in the active noise control system. This study is similar to the past researches on the optimal transducer locations but with a far field noise source having a plane wave characteristic and the noise coming through an opening such as a window in an enclosure. Optimization techniques are used to find sets of optimal loudspeaker positions from a larger possible loudspeaker positions. Loudspeakers are placed on the surface of opening at the wall and inside of the enclosure. Using the measured acoustic transfer impedances and numerical simulations with the optimization technique, optimal positions are identified and compared. When a small number of loudspeakers are used. loudspeaker positions on the opening near the center seems to be the best place, but when a larger number of loudspeakers are used it was difficult to find simple patterns in the optimal positions. With the optimally positioned loudspeakers, optimal microphone positions are also studied.
