The article studies the implementation of automation in the education process as a convenient interface of a document management system, on the one hand, which makes it easy to navigate the program, requiring from the user only a small amount of any special skills in working with electronic computers, on the other hand, it provides to the user operational information about all the data of interest to him, taking into account the access rights given to this or that information, stored in the enterprise database.

Based on its technological elements (distribution, encryption, immutability, tokenisation, decentralisation, and smart contracts), blockchain has drawn considerable attention in various industries and verticals. Still, the strategic adoption of blockchain is in its early stages because of the current barriers and challenges in the areas of 'customer experience', 'business models', and 'operational processes.' This work delivers a comprehensive synopsis of the fundamental challenges faced by blockchain adopters in their digital journey, based on a literature survey. The authors leveraged MAXQDA software and the theory, context, characteristics, and methodology (TCCM) framework to develop themes, findings, and evidence for adoption barriers. The research evaluates the literature on blockchain adoption challenges and offers research insights and managerial agendas for future inferences.
Limiting conditions for operations (LCOs) are evaluated dynamically using the tool of system dynamics. The LCOs de-fine the allowed outage times (AOTs) and the actions to be taken if the repair cannot be completed within the AOT. System dynamics has been developed to analyze the dynamic reliability of a complicated system. System dynamics using Vensim software have been applied to LCOs assessment for an example system, the auxiliary feed water system of a reference nuclear power plant. Analysis results of both full power operation and shutdown operation have been compared for a measure of core damage frequency. The framework developed in this study has been shown to be very flexible in that it can be applied to assess LCOs quantitatively under any operational context of the TS in FSAR.

Sophia Antipolis was planned to be developed as an innovative technopole in the southern french area near Nice, a tourist destination. from an area with very little scientific activities, it was created as a vibrant city with science and industrial and cultural activities begining from the early 1960s. A dedicated university professor, who became a politician later, Pirre Laffite, organized non governmental institutions and professional associations to designate an area with 2300 ha and planned it for environmentally clean technopole. Sophia Antipolis eventually bacame the most well known technopole in Europe, hosting 1,200 companies with 24,000 employees. In this context, this paper analyses the process of building Sophia Antipolis and the operational mechanisms of the technopole, based on the data gathered from interviews with managers of the companies and supporting institutions of Sophia Antipolis.
The role of CIO is examined in the context of three successful e-government implementations in the U.S. The leadership role of CIO turns out to be crucial to the utilization of information technology for competitive gains: cheap government, speedy service, and increased satisfaction of citizens. A balanced leadership model emerges. An effective CIO should strike a balance between strategic and operational leadership roles, as well as between forceful and enabling leadership roles. To take a maximum advantage of IT, we propose government CIO positions with responsibility, power, and qualification specified along the balanced leadership model need to be created in Korea through legislation.
In this paper, a brief overview on data assimilation is provided in the context of oceanographic application. The ocean data assimilation needs to ingest various types of data such as satellites and floats, thus essentially requires dynamically-consistent assimilation methods. For such purpose, sequential and variational approaches are discussed and compared. The major advantage of the Kalman filter (KF) is that it can forecast error covariances at each time step. However, for models with very large dimension of state vector, the KF Is exceedingly expensive and computationally less efficient than four-dimensional variational assimilation (4D-Var). For operational application, simplified 4D-Var schemes as well as ensemble KF may be considered.
The constraints of traditional fish drying in Bangladesh have been reviewed and an effective solar fish dryer was developed with the small-scale processors and fishermen using locally available cheaper materials in order to dry fish in coastal region. After successful field testing, new solar dryer was demonstrated within the community in 3 different locations of Cox's Bazar for several batches of operations in each location from late September to March and found very effective in terms of architectural suitability, operational feasibility, technical efficiency, out-put quality (good texture, colour, flavour and long storage time), user's acceptability, commercial viability and environmental adequacy. A simple cost-profit analysis was done with the community operated products, which indicates that the new solar fish dryers could be operated profitably in coastal regions where sun-light and air flows are abundant.
This article reviews the art and practice of strategic management process in hospitals today, in order to help hospital administrators for managing strategic management system in their hospitals. The strategic management process model in this article is based on an integrated approach combining traditional environmental model with resource-based model of strategy. The components of the model are consisted of five steps: (1)formulating objectives, strategic assessment by external environmental analysis, internal capability analysis, TOWS analysis and marketing audit, (3)strategy choice considering context and criteria of choice, (4)program implementation through operational planning, resource allocation, and conversion, and (5)control by monitoring and evaluating hospital outputs. This article deals with many aspects of issues inherent in every step on this strategic management process.
This study examines how green operations affect firm's environmental performance with green innovation as a mediator in the context of electronic industry. We carry out an empirical study with 141 valid questionnaires collected from high-tech manaufactures in Taiwan. The results show that positive relationships exist among green operations, green innovation and environmental performance (in both operational performance and managerial performance). However, an integration of green operations with green innovation would influence firm's environmental performance more positively than the sole effects of green operations. It suggests that high-tech manufacturers should pay greater attention to green innovative strategies in order to cope with customer demand and, thereby, enhancing customer satisfaction and sustainable operations. This study has contributed to the extant literature by providing valuable academic references and pragmatic guidelines for firms to gain competitive advantages through green operations and green innovation.

Future warfare paradigm is changing to network-centric warfare and effects-based operations. In order to find first and strike the enemy in the battlefield, friendly unit requires real-time target acquisition, intelligence collection, accurate situation assessment, and timely decision. The rapid development in advanced sensor technology and wireless networks requires a significant change in operational concepts of the battlefield surveillance. In particular, the introduction of a battlefield surveillance sensor network system is a big challenge to the ground forces which have lack of automated information collection assets. Therefore this paper proposes an ontology-based context-aware framework for the battlefield surveillance sensor network system which is needed for early finding the enemy and visualizing the battlefield in the ground force operations. Compared with the performance of existing systems, the one of the proposed framework has shown highly positive results by applying the context systems evaluation method. The framework has also proven to be satisfactory by the structured evaluation method using device collaboration. Since the proposed ontology-based context-aware framework has a lot of advantages in terms of scalability and reusability, the ground force's reconnaissance and surveillance system can be widely applied to expand in the future. And, ontology-based model has some weak points such as ontology data size, processing time, and limitation of network bandwidth. However, these problems can be resolved by customizing properly to fit the mission and characteristics of the unit. Moreover, development of the next-generation communication infrastructure can expedite the intelligent surveillance and reconnaissance service and may be expected to contribute greatly to expanding the information capacity.
