In this paper, GPS(Global Positioning System) that can be used outdoors and GPS(Global Positioning System) is not available for indoor Wi-Fi(Wireless Fidelity) using the Android-based location information system has been designed and implemented. Pedestrians in a room in order to estimate the location of the pedestrian's position, regardless of need to obtain the absolute position and relative position, depending on the movement of pedestrians in a row it is necessary to estimate. In order to estimate the initial position of the pedestrian Wi-Fi Fingerprinting was used. Most existing Wi-Fi Fingerprinting position error small WKNN(Weighted K Nearest Neighbor) algorithm shortcoming EWKNN (Enhanced Weighted K Nearest Neighbor) using the algorithm raised the accuracy of the position. And in order to estimate the relative position of the pedestrian, the smart phone is mounted on the IMUInertial Measurement Unit) because the use did not require additional equipment.
Object recognition techniques using principal component analysis are disposed to be decreased recognition rate when lighting change of image happens. The purpose of this thesis is to propose an object recognition technique using new PCA analysis method that discriminates an object in database even in the case that the variation of illumination in training images exists. And the object recognition algorithm proposed here represents more enhanced recognition rate using improved k-Nearest Neighbor. In this thesis, we proposed an object recognition algorithm which creates object space by pre-processing and being learned image using histogram equalization and median filter. By spreading histogram of test image using histogram equalization, the effect to change of illumination is reduced. This method is stronger to change of illumination than basic PCA method and normalization, and almost removes effect of illumination, therefore almost maintains constant good recognition rate. And, it compares ingredient projected test image into object space with distance of representative value and recognizes after representative value of each object in model image is made. Each model images is used in recognition unit about some continual input image using improved k-Nearest Neighbor in this thesis because existing method have many errors about distance calculation.
Dynamic and equilibrium structures of a polymer chain immersed in solvent molecules have been investigated by a molecular dynamic method. The calculation employs the Lennard-Jones potential function to represent the interactions between two solvent molecules (SS) and between a constituent particle (monomer unit) of the polymer chain and a solvent molecule (CS) as well as between two non-nearest neighbor constituent particles of the polymer chain (CC), while the chemical bond for nearest neighbor constituent particles was chosen to follow a harmonic oscillator potential law. The correlation function for the SS, CS and CC pairs, the end-to-end distance square and the radius of gyration square were calculated by varying the chain length (= 5, 10, 15, 20). The computed end-to-end distance square and the radius of gyration square were found to be in a fairly good agreement with the corresponding results from the random-flight model. Unlike earlier works, the present simulation rsesult shows that the autocorrelation function of radius of gyration square decays slower than that of the end-to-end distance square.
Face recognition technologies using PCA(principal component analysis) recognize faces by deciding representative features of faces in the model image, extracting feature vectors from faces in a image and measuring the distance between them and face representation. Given frequent recognition problems associated with the use of point-to-point distance approach, this study adopted the K-nearest neighbor technique(class-to-class) in which a group of face models of the same class is used as recognition unit for the images inputted on a continual input image. This paper proposes a new PCA recognition in which database of faces.

In Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), logistics distribution and mobile e-commerce, the real-time, accurate and reliable vehicle trajectory prediction has significant application value. Vehicle trajectory prediction can not only provide accurate location-based services, but also can monitor and predict traffic situation in advance, and then further recommend the optimal route for users. In this paper, firstly, we mine the double layers of hidden states of vehicle historical trajectories, and then determine the parameters of HMM (hidden Markov model) by historical data. Secondly, we adopt Viterbi algorithm to seek the double layers hidden states sequences corresponding to the just driven trajectory. Finally, we propose a new algorithm (DHMTP) for vehicle trajectory prediction based on the hidden Markov model of double layers hidden states, and predict the nearest neighbor unit of location information of the next k stages. The experimental results demonstrate that the prediction accuracy of the proposed algorithm is increased by 18.3% compared with TPMO algorithm and increased by 23.1% compared with Naive algorithm in aspect of predicting the next k phases' trajectories, especially when traffic flow is greater, such as this time from weekday morning to evening. Moreover, the time performance of DHMTP algorithm is also clearly improved compared with TPMO algorithm.
This paper presents and discusses an implementation of the GPU shifted sorting method to find approximate k nearest neighbors which executes within "warp", the minimum execution unit in GPU parallel architecture. Also, this paper presents the comparison results with other two common nearest neighbor searching methods, GPU-based kd-tree and ANN (Approximate Nearest Neighbor) library. The proposed implementation focuses on the cases when k is small, i.e. 2, 4, 8, and 16, which are handled efficiently within warp to consider it is very common for applications to handle small k's. Also, this paper discusses optimization ways to implementation by improving memory management in a loop for the CUB open library and adopting CUDA commands which are supported by GPU hardware. The proposed implementation shows more than 16-fold speed-up against GPU-based other methods in the tests, implying that the improvement would become higher for more larger input data.
Object recognition technologies using PCA(principal component analysis) recognize objects by deciding representative features of objects in the model image, extracting feature vectors from objects in a image and measuring the distance between them and object representation. Given frequent recognition problems associated with the use of point-to-point distance approach, this study adopted the k-nearest neighbor technique(class-to-class) in which a group of object models of the same class is used as recognition unit for the images in-putted on a continual input image. However, the robustness of recognition strategies using PCA depends on several factors, including illumination. When scene constancy is not secured due to varying illumination conditions, the learning performance the feature detector can be compromised, undermining the recognition quality. This paper proposes a new PCA recognition in which database of objects can be detected under different illuminations between input images and the model images.
We investigate the environmental effects on galaxy spin using the sample of ~1100 galaxies from the first public data of MaNGA integral field unit survey. We determine the spin parameter ${\lambda}_{Re}$ of galaxies by analyzing the two-dimensional stellar kinematic measurements within the effective radius, and study its dependence on the large-scale (background mass density determined with 20 nearby galaxies) and small-scale (distance to and morphology of the nearest neighbor galaxy) environments. We first examine the mass dependence of galaxy spin, and find that the spin parameter decreases with stellar mass at log ($M_{\ast}/M_{\odot}$) > 10, consistent with previous studies. We then divide the galaxies into three subsamples using their stellar masses to minimize the mass effects on galaxy spin. The spin parameter of galaxies in each subsample does not change with the background density, but do change with the distance to and morphology of the nearest neighbor. The spin parameter increases when late-type neighbors are within the virial radius, and decreases when early-type neighbors are within the virial radius. These results suggest that the large-scale environments hardly affect the galaxy spin, but the effects of small-scale environments such as hydrodynamic galaxy-galaxy interactions are substantial.

This paper describes the algorithm that lowers the dimension, maintains the object recognition and significantly reduces the eigenspace configuration time by combining the higher correlation feature information and Principle Component Analysis. Since the suggested method doesn't require a lot of computation than the method using existing geometric information or stereo image, the fact that it is very suitable for building the real-time system has been proved through the experiment. In addition, since the existing point to point method which is a simple distance calculation has many errors, in this paper to improve recognition rate the recognition error could be reduced by using several successive input images as a unit of recognition with K-Nearest Neighbor which is the improved Class to Class method.
Purpose: This study investigated different band selection methods to classify spectrally similar data - obtained from aerial images of healthy citrus canopies and citrus greening disease (Huanglongbing or HLB) infected canopies - using small differences without unmixing endmember components and therefore without the need for an endmember library. However, large number of hyperspectral bands has high redundancy which had to be reduced through band selection. The objective, therefore, was to first select the best set of bands and then detect citrus Huanglongbing infected canopies using these bands in aerial hyperspectral images. Methods: The forward feature selection algorithm (FFSA) was chosen for band selection. The selected bands were used for identifying HLB infected pixels using various classifiers such as K nearest neighbor (KNN), support vector machine (SVM), naïve Bayesian classifier (NBC), and generalized local discriminant bases (LDB). All bands were also utilized to compare results. Results: It was determined that a few well-chosen bands yielded much better results than when all bands were chosen, and brought the classification results on par with standard hyperspectral classification techniques such as spectral angle mapper (SAM) and mixture tuned matched filtering (MTMF). Median detection accuracies ranged from 66-80%, which showed great potential toward rapid detection of the disease. Conclusions: Among the methods investigated, a support vector machine classifier combined with the forward feature selection algorithm yielded the best results.
