We organized the scientific names of Chinese cabbage according to the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants (ICN) and the International Code of Nomenclature for Cultivated Plants (ICNCP). We found that the subspecies name 'Brassica rapa subsp. pekinensis (Lour.) Rupr.' was suitable as the scientific name for Chinese cabbage, and we classified B. rapa var. glabra Regel. as its synonym. In addition, B. petsai Bailey is an 'unrecorded name'   not found in the original description, and therefore is not suitable for use. We conclude that all names based on this name are 'invalid names', and should not be used.

The effects of $N{\omega}$-nitro-L-arginine methylester (L-NAME) and L-arginine on cardiotoxicity that is induced by doxorubicin (Dox) were investigated. A single dose of Dox 15 mg/kg i.p. induced cardiotoxicity, manifested biochemically by a significant elevation of serum creatine phosphokinase (CPK) activity [EC 2.7.3.2]. Moreover, cardiotoxicity was further confirmed by a significant increase in lipid peroxides, measured as malon-di-aldehyde (MDA) in cardiac tissue homogenates. The administration of L-NAME 4 mg/kg/d p.o. in drinking water 5 days before and 3 days after the Dox injection significantly ameliorated the cardiotoxic effects of Dox, judged by the improvement in both serum CPK activity and lipid peroxides in the cardiac tissue homogenates. On the other hand, the administration of L-arginine 70 mg/kg/d p.o. did not protect the cardiac tissues against the toxicity that was induced by the Dox treatment. The findings of this study suggest that L-NAME can attenuate the cardiac dysfunction that is produced by the Dox treatment via the mechanism(s), which may involve the inhibition of the nitric oxide (NO) formation. L-NAME may, therefore, be a beneficial remedy for cardiotoxicity that is induced by Dox and can then be used to improve the therapeutic index of Dox.

Recently, a name retrieval function is widely used on navigation systems. In this paper, we propose the new dynamic hashing algorithm for a name retrieval function on it. The proposed dynamic hashing algorithm by constructing an index using the variance information of character is the better than existing methods in terms of storage capacity and retrieval speed. The algorithm proposed in this paper can be useful on systems that have limited resources as well as navigation systems.

Current brand strategies applied for name brand apartments seem to have no product differentiation but merely function as a convenient instrument for product image change through naming only. Since proliferating brand names don't have much relevance to their brand concepts at present, long-range brand strategies are definitely needed. We'll inquire, first, the success and failure cases in the brand strategies of other industry. Next, through questionnaire survey, we'll look into the brand concepts of construction firms and their customer satisfaction. Finally we'll present the necessity of indigenous brand culture by use of macroscopic contents development.

Dried specimens of the genus Inocybe collected from mountain areas throughout the Korean country from 1982 to 1998 and preserved in NIAST were investigated. Out of them, Inocybe hystrix were confirmed as an unrecorded species in Korea. In 1991 Lee et al., previously recorded Inocybe kasukayamensis only with its scientific name and korean common name. In this study we report it with full descriptions of morphological characteristics and diagnosis of micro-structures of this species.

The name of a place represents the social and political power relations as well as showing a certain physical space. In particular, the East Sea is not only a representative name of areas represent our country, but also the name of place being in competition with the Sea of Japan internationally. Korea is committed in many ways to spread the name of East Sea in the international community, and gradually expand its name power. The purpose of this study was to investigate the names used in the newspapers and broadcasting in Francophone countries except France by analyzing the newspaper articles and broadcasting contents, and to illuminate how the names of the East Sea produced in France, and the discussion about the names were diffused in Francophone countries and what kind of influence they had on those countries. This study selected Algeria in North Africa, Belgium and Luxembourg in West Europe, and Quebec in Canada for the research areas. As a result, while Algeria in North Africa and Luxembourg are showing inhospitality to the name East Sea, Belgium and Quebec are taking a flexible attitude toward this name. In general, most Francophone countries are provided with press releases from AFP in France. Even in same article provided by AFP, The result shows that some media stick to use the name Sea of Japan solely, and others demonstrate a will to use both name East Sea and Sea of Japan simultaneously. This study was able to show that the diffusion and spread of the place name was significantly influenced by social, political interests and powers, the mess geopolitics in pop cultural materials.

The name of the department is not only a means of notifying the existence of the department, but also acts as an important indicator that includes the overall curriculum, specialization strategy, student management, and employment of the department. The importance of the department name, which is a collection of internal and external public relations, has emerged greatly, but the existing research related to this is insufficient. Therefore, in this study, the terminology used in the names of beauty departments at two-year colleges and four-year colleges nationwide is surveyed year by year to contribute to the establishment of developmental goals that the department should aim for and a systematic analysis for curriculum reform. As a result of the study, in 1994, 7 schools (41.18%) had the most skin care departments, and in 2005, 2013 and 2020, 'Beauty' was 50 cases (21.55%), 67 cases (28.03%), and 92 cases (34.20%), respectively. Through this study, it is possible to analyze the overall trend of the beauty industry, and it is expected that it will be used as basic data when promoting a department name change or opening a department in the future.

The role of nitric oxide (NO) in the hemorrhagic hypotension was examined using a NO synthase inhibitor, $N^{\omega}-nitro-L-arginine$ methyl ester (L-NAME), in conscious rats. The rats were bled at a constant rate (2 ml/kg/min) through a femoral arterial catheter until the mean arterial pressure (MAP) was reduced by 50 mmHg. We studied the responses to hemorrhage under normal condition (Control) and after the pretreatment with 3 doses of L-NAME (1.6, 8, 40 mg/kg i.v. of NOX1.6, NOX8, and NOX40, respectively). Intravenous bolus injection of L-NAME produced a sustained increase in MAP and decrease in heart rate (HR). During hemorrhage, the MAP fell faster in the NOX8 and NOX40-treated groups than in Control group, but the control group showed same response to NOX1.6. HR greatly increased in NOX groups. The recovery from hemorrhagic hypotension was slowed in the control group, which was not treated with L-NAME. In comparison with the control group, NOX8 and NOX1.6-treated groups registered a significant recovery in MAP during the 15 min recovery period, but NOX40 brought about only a slight increase in MAP. NO precursor, L-arginine (150 mg/kg i.v.), produced significant bradycardic responses before and after hemorrhage and significant depressor response only after hemorrhagic hypotension regardless of pretreatment with L-NAME. These data suggest that the role of NO in blood pressure regulation is greater after hemorrhagic hypotension than basal condition, but the effect of NO can be detrimental to the recovery from hemorrhagic hypotension. In addition, the bradycardic response of L-arginine provides indirect evidence that NO may inhibit sympathetic activity, especially after hemorrhagic hypotension.

The road name address system has been in effect in Korea since 2012. However, the existing address system is still being used in many fields because of the difference between the spatial awareness of people and the road name address system. For the spatial awareness based on the road name address system, various spatial datasets in daily life should be referenced by the road names. The goal of this paper is to link the road name address system with the wayfinding process, which is closely related to the spatial awareness. To achieve our goal, we designed and implemented a geometric matching method for spatial data sets. This method generates network neighborhoods from road objects in the 'road name address map' and the 'pedestrian network data'. Then it computes the geometric similarities between the neighborhoods to identify corresponding road name for each object in the network data. The performance by F0.5 was assessed at 0.936 and it was improved to 0.978 by the manual check for 10% of the test data selected by the similarity. By help of our method, the road name address system can be utilized in the wayfinding services, and further in the spatial awareness of people.
