지명은 언어적 요소로 구성된 음성 내지는 문자 언어이면서 동시에 지리적 현상이자 하나의 문화적 요소이기도 하다. 이러한 인식을 토대로 본 연구는 현재 일반적으로 적용되고 있는 지명 유형 분류와 지명 관리가 안고 있는 한계와 문제점을 인식하면서, 새로운 지명 유형 분류의 대안과 지명 관리 방안을 고찰하였다. 구체적으로는 기존 지명학 분야에서 이루어진 지명 유형 분류를 지명소, 언어적 변천, 그리고 경합이라는 세 가지 기준으로 나누어 제시하였다. 이러한 선행 지명 유형 분류를 토대로 현재 국가 기관에서 수행하고 있는 지명 유형 분류의 실제와 한계를 $\ll$대한민국 국가지도집$\gg$(2007)의 지명 색인 분류를 사례로 살펴보았다. 끝으로 후부지명소의 명명 대상과 전부 지명소의 명명 기반으로 구분하여 접근한 지명 유형 분류의 새로운 대안과 국가지명위원회 강화와 관련된 관리 방안을 제시하였다. 이울러 현재 지명 표준화에 밀려 소외되어 있는 경합 지명과 소지명들에 대한 행정적 제도적 차원의 보호와 체계적인 관리가 시급함을 제시하였다.

The present study was aimed to investigate the role of endothelium-derived nitric oxide (NO) in the control of renin release and to examine if NO is implicated in the development of two-kidney, one clip (2K1C) hypertension. Male Sprague-Dawley rats $(150{\sim}200\; g)$ were constricted at the left renal artery. They were then supplemented with $N^{G}-nitro-L-arginine\;methyl\;ester\;(L-NAME,\; 5mg/100\;mL)$ or with L-arginine hydrochloride (400 mg/100 mL) in the drinking water. The control group was supplied with normal tap water. The sham-clipped rats were operated as in 2K1C rats except for that no clip was made. The kidneys were taken to examine in vitro release of renin at days 7 and 14 following clipping the renal artery. Northern blot analysis was also done to assess the expression of renin gene in the kidney. In sham-clipped rats, L-NAME caused a sustained increase of the blood pressure, whereas L-arginine was without effect. Neither L-NAME nor L-arginine-supplementation significantly affected the development of hypertension in 2K1C rats. Plasma renin concentration (PRC) measured on day 28 did not significantly differ among the L-NAME, L-arginine and control groups either in 2K1C or in sham-clipped rats. Renin contents (RRC) in the clipped kidney were increased, while those in the contralateral kidney were decreased. The release of renin in vitro from cortical slices was also enhanced in the clipped kidney, whereas it was attenuated in the contralateral. Comparing the RRC and in vitro release, the latter was more rapidly decreased than the former in the contralateral kidney. The renin mRNA levels in the contralateral kidney were almost at their nadir at days 7 and 14 in 2K1C rats. It is suggested that NO does not affect the development of 2K1C hypertension in which the renin-angiotensin system has been activated. The data also confirm that RRC and renin gene expression are increased in the clipped kidney and suppressed in the contralateral kidney in 2K1C rats.

저자는 "대한영상의학회 용어위원회" 위원장을 맡으면서 "대한의사협회 용어위원회" 위원 및 대한의사협회의 "제6판 의학용어집" 발간을 위한 "의학용어실무위원회" 위원으로 2015년 7월부터 2020년 1월까지 "제6판 의학용어집" 개정 발간을 위한 작업에 참여하였다. 이번 "제6판 의학용어집"의 용어 개정 작업에 참여한 경험을 바탕으로 그동안 한글의학용어와 영상의학과의 명칭의 변화에 대한 특별기고문을 작성하였다.

This study was carried out in order to catalogue the folk plants of 7 counties and cities of northern region of Chungcheongbuk-do from March to October, 2011. Based on the 626 survey sheets collected from 67 residents at 17 places of 7 counties and were subsequently analysed. The identified folk plants in the northern region of Chungcheongbuk-do consisted of a total 348 taxa; 98 families, 250 genera, 298 species, 5 subspecies, 38 varieties, and 7 forms. The use by its usage were: 223 taxa; edible, 123 taxa; medicinal, 4 taxa; dye, 2 taxa; aroma, 6 taxa; spice, 32 taxa; ornamental, 11 taxa; oil, 4 taxa; starch, 22 taxa; and others, respectively, so the edible use is the highest. The most useful part was the leaf, followed by fruit and root. The consistency comparison between the scientific and the local name were the highest in the 50's and the lowest in 80's.

This study was conducted to propose name and role of a beauty-related specialist, a brand-new profession, recognizing that rapidly evolving culture and industries call for development of a new occupation in beauty business in the 21st century, and to suggest an approach to set up a department to produce such experts. To this end, extensive data and information were collected from relevant companies, education institutions, and all of the eighty two departments at 2-year junior colleges around the country, and were analyzed. The findings of the study are as follows: First, it was acknowledged that a new occupation distinct from existing ones is required in the beauty business. Secondly, the study has defined role of the new job; a professional beauty stylist who is competent to work across beauty, coordination and fashion with long-term perspective. Thirdly, the study suggested name of the brand-new occupation as beauty stylist. The results summarized above have meaningful implications; the study identified weaknesses of the existing beauty-related departments, and suggested practical approaches to improve them in order to provide effective education on the new profession, beauty stylist, and enhance adaptation capability.

The effects of nitric oxide on the vestibular function recovery following unilateral labyrinthectomy (UL) were studied. Sprague-Dawley male rats, treated with nitric oxide liberating agent sodium nitroprusside (SNP) and NOS inhibitor $N^G$-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME), were subjected to destruction of the unilateral vestibular apparatus, and then spontaneous nystagmus was observed in the rat. To explore the effects of nitric oxide on the neuronal excitability, whole cell patch clamp technique was applied on isolated medial vestibular nuclear neurons. The frequency of spontaneous nystagmus in SNP treated rats was lesser than that of spontaneous nystagmus in control animals. In contrast, pre-UL treatment with L-NAME resulted in a significant increase in spontaneous nystagmus frequency. In addition, SNP increased the frequency of spontaneous action potential in isolated medial vestibular nuclear neurons. Potassium currents of the vestibular nuclear neurons were inhibited by SNP. After blockade of calcium dependent potassium currents by high EGTA (11 mM) in a pipette solution, SNP did not inhibit outward potassium currents. 1H-[1,2,4] oxadiazolo [4,3-a] quinozalin-1-one (ODQ), a specific inhibitor of soluble guanylyl cyclase, inhibited the effects of SNP on the spontaneous firing and the potassium current. These results suggest that nitric oxide after unilateral labyrinthectomy would help to facilitate vestibular compensation by inhibiting calcium-dependent potassium currents through increasing intracellular cGMP, and consequently would increase excitability in ipsilateral vestibular nuclear neurons.

본 연구는 충청북도 남부지역에서 이용되는 민속식물을 파악하기 위하여 2011년 3월부터 10월까지 수행되었다. 5개 시 군 지역(청주시, 청원군, 보은군, 옥천군, 영동군)의 19개소에서 주민 92명을 대상으로 수집한 조사야장 429장의 설문조사를 분석한 결과, 충청북도 남부지역에서 파악되고 수집된 민속식물은 56과 129속 150종 1아종 22변종 총 173분류군으로 정리되었다. 용도별 이용은 식용 379종류, 약용 68종류, 염료 2종류, 향료 1종류, 향신료 4종류, 관상용 1종류, 유지 3종류, 전분 1종류, 기타 18종류로서 식용으로의 이용 빈도가 가장 높았으며, 이용 부위로는 잎, 줄기, 전초 순으로 나타났다. 표준식물명과 지방명의 불일치는 202종류였으며, 50대(73.7%)에서 가장 높았으며, 90대(30.8%)에서 가장 낮게 나타났다.

본 연구는 강원도 남부지역에서 이용되는 민속식물을 파악하기 위하여 2010년 3월부터 10월까지 수행되었다. 9개시 군지역의 32개소에서 주민 83명을 대상으로 수집한 조사야장 1,103장의 설문조사를 분석한 결과, 강원도 남부지역에서 파악되고 수집된 민속식물은 총 92과 222속 274종 2아종 29변종 6품종의 총 311분류군으로 정리되었다. 용도별 이용은 식용 227종류, 약용 174종류, 관상용 14종류, 유지 5종류, 향신료 5종류, 염료 4종류, 섬유 1종류, 향료 1종류, 연료 1종류, 기타 32종류로서 식용으로의 이용 빈도가 가장 높았으며, 이용 부위로는 잎, 뿌리, 열매, 줄기 순으로 나타났다. 연령별 표준식물명과 지방명의 일치성은 50대에서 가장 높았으며, 80대에서 가장 낮았다.

Ginseng total saponins (GTS) injected intracerebroventricularly (i.c.v.) at doses from 0.1-1 vs inhibited the i.c.v. injection stress-induced plasma corticosterone levels in mice. The inhibitory action of GTS was blocked by co-administered NG-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME; 1.5 us, i.c.v.), an. inhibitor of nitric oxide synthase (NOS). Of the ginsenosides Rbl, Rba, Rc, Rd, Re, Rf, Rgl,20(S)-Rg3, and 20(R)-Rg3 injected i.c.v. at doses from 0.01 to 0.3ug(or 1 uE),20(5)-Rg3 and Rc significantly inhibited the o.c.v. injection stress-induced Plasma corticosterone levels. The inhibitory actions of 20(S)-Rg3 and Rc were blocked by co-administered L-NAME (1.5 n, i.c.v.). These results suggest that G75, 20(S)-Rg3 and Rc may inhibit the i.c.v. injection stress-induced hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal response by inducing NO production in the brain.

본 연구는 한국의 실용음악 개설 대학들의(대학, 전문대, 학점은행제 포함) 현황을 파악하고 각 대학들의 국문 명칭과 영문 명칭을 조사 분석하였다. 분석을 통해 얻은 결과들은 현재 확장되고 있는 각 대학 실용음악과의 특성과 개설 배경을 설명하고 있으며 때로는 국문 명칭과 영문 명칭의 오류나 잘못된 해석의 경우도 제시하고 있다. 본 연구는 현재 개설되어있는 각 대학의 실용음악과의 명칭에 있어 공감대 있는 국문, 영문 명칭 제시에 활용될 수 있을 것이며 앞으로 새롭게 개설되거나 편입되는 대학, 대학원 또는 그 외에 학점은행제를 포함하는 모든 음악교육 기관의 실용음악과 학과 개설 시 필요한 명칭의 선택수단으로 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것이다.
