기혼 간호대학원생의 융합적 역할 내 학업의 의미 : 박사과정생 중심으로 (The Meaning of Study in the Convergence Role of Married Nursing Graduate Students: Focusing on Doctoral Students)

  • 본 연구는 기혼 간호대학원생의 융합적 역할 내 경험하는 학업의 본질과 의미를 총체적이고 심층적으로 탐색하여 깊이 있게 이해하기 위함이다. 현상학적 연구방법으로 Giorgi(1985)의 기술적 현상학적 방법에 근거하여 자료분석 절차를 따랐다. 연구 참여자는 직장, 육아 및 학업을 병행하고 있는 간호학 박사생 4명이다. 자료수집은 2017년도 10월부터 11월까지이며 2회의 심층면접을 통해 이루어졌다. 분석결과는 대학원 진학 전후의 학업에 대한 생각, 느낌, 생활의 변화를 중심으로 12개의 개념과 5개의 범주로 구조화되었다. 5개의 범주는 '누구보다 나는(flying)것을 즐기는 나', '그들과 또 다른 나', '꿈을 향한 고독한 여정', '가족은 나의 힘', '꿈이 있는 나'로 구성되었다. 결론적으로, 기혼간호사들의 대학원 진학을 돕기 위해 가족의 배려와 직장 내 조직문화 개선이 필요하고 더불어 사회적으로 실질적인 지원체계가 구축되어야 한다.

독거노인의 일상생활 및 만성질환관리의 경험: 포커스그룹 인터뷰 (A study on the experience of daily life and chronic disease management of elderly living alone : Focus group interview)

  • 본 연구는 독거노인의 일상생활 및 만성질환 관리에 대한 경험을 분석하여 이에 대한 의미와 본질 및 어려움을 알아보기 위해 포커스그룹 인터뷰를 실시한 질적 연구이다. 연구 대상자는 D시 노인복지관을 방문하는 65세 이상의 독거노인 중 인지장애가 없는 자를 대상으로 하였으며, 총 31명의 대상자를 5그룹으로 나누어 각 그룹 당 약 60분의 면담을 진행하였다. 본 연구결과 '일상생활의 어려움', '여러 만성질환에 이환됨 ', '미래의 상황에 대한 두려움', '삶에 대한 수용'의 4개의 주제가 도출되었다. 결론적으로 독거노인들은 신체적 노화와 만성질환의 이환에 따라 일상생활의 어려움을 느끼고 있으며 미래의 상황에 대한 두려움을 느끼면서도 동시에 삶에 대해 수용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 독거노인들의 삶의 만족도와 삶의 질 향상을 위해서는 식사 및 세탁 등의 일상생활이 유지될 수 있도록 제도적 장치 마련이 요구되며, 만성질환이 악화되지 않도록 관리함으로써 신체적 건강이 유지될 수 있도록 하는 중재프로그램의 개발이 필요하다. 또한 미래의 불확실한 상황에 대한 두려움을 감소시켜 삶에 대해 긍정적인 수용을 할 수 있는 중재 프로그램이 개발되어야 하겠다.

  • Purpose: This study describes the perception of comfort by hospital nurses. Q-methodological was used. Method: The participants completed a 37-item a sort made up of statements which could be ranked in terms of their relevance to the subjective meaning of comfort Result: Three interpretable types of comfort were identified. They are as follows : Type I, emotional and spiritual well-being style: The nurses perceived that patients feel comfortable when they feel emotional support from others and spiritual easiness. The nurses felt that the patients put worth in hope for a healthy life. free from pain and fear of death. Type II, acceptive medical environment style: The nurses perceived that patients have a secure and satisfied attitude towards prompt responses, exact information and skilled Intervention techniques. They also perceived that patients feel safe and secure when they feel free of pain and medical staff are kind. Type III, physical well-being style; The nurses perceived that patients feel safe and comfortable when they feel free of pain and have a good sleep and are able to maintain a comfortable position. They perceived that patients put a high value on meeting the basic needs of safety, such pain, sleep and positioning. Conclusion: The result of this study can be used as a basis to develop nursing measures for promoting comfort. Further studies are recommended on factors which influence nurses' perception of comfort and strategies to promote comfort according to the style of the patients.

입원환자가 지각하는 안위에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Inpatients‘ Perception of Comfort)

  • This paper describes a Q-methodological study on the Perception of comfort in hospital in-patients. The participants completed a 37-item Q sort made up of statements which could be ranked in terms of their relevance to the subjective meaning of comfort. Three interpretable types of comfort were identified through this Q study : Type I, positive medical action style, feel secure and satisfied when medical staff show a positive attitude towards them as patients. They put a high value on prompt responses from medical staff and physical aspects of care like non-invasive procedures or comfortable position. Type II, social relation style, experience a state of comfort when they perceive support or concern from medical staff, relatives or other patients suffering from similar diseases. They feel safe and secure when medical staff are kind and have a good reputation or when the size of the hospital is big enough, Type III, emotional wellbeing style, feel that hope for a healthy life or maintaining self-care activities are highly valuable. They feel safe and comfortable when their privacy is protected. They put worth on independent thinking, strong will, and emotional or psychological comfort. The results of this study can be used as a basis to develop nursing measures for comfort. Further studies on factors which influence perception of comfort and intervention strategies according to the above types of comfort need to be done.

ERG 이론에 근거한 한국 중년여성의 행복에 관한 구성요인 도출 연구 (Meaning of Happiness Based on ERG Theory in Middle-Aged Korean Women)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the components and nature of happiness in middle-aged women in Korea. Methods: Thirty middle-aged women living in metropolitan Seoul and Gyeonggi and Chungcheong provinces agreed to participate in this study. The data were collected through in-depth interviews with the participants in one-on-one settings. The data were analyzed qualitative using Colaizzi's method of phenomenology. Results: The three theme clusters were extracted from the raw data, along with 13 themes and 138 meaningful sentences and phrases. The three happiness theme clusters in middle-aged women were "live healthy for stability," "rule one's mind for harmony," and "activate hopes for self-esteem." The first theme cluster included healthy life, economic stability, physical youth, and positive thought. The second theme cluster included that harmonious family, ruling of mind, my position as invisible person in social relationships, and precious relationships to support. The last theme included the center of one's life is oneself, a sense of accomplishment, self-improvement, recognition of one's worth and rest for one self. The three theme clusters were associated with the existence, relatedness, and growth (ERG) of ERG areas, respectively. Conclusions: We conclude that the core components of happiness in middle-aged women are to live healthy and mind-ruled and activate hope. The nature of happiness is egocentric stability in middle-aged women. The results suggest that theme clusters might be used to develop a scale for measuring happiness in middle-aged women. This will be helpful to assess the psychosocial status of middle-aged women in Korea.

Characterizing a full spectrum of physico-chemical properties of (20S)-and (20R)-ginsenoside Rg3 to be proposed as standard reference materials

  • The authentication of the physico-chemical properties of ginsenosides reference materials as well as qualitative and quantitative batch analytical data based on validated analytical procedures is a prerequisite for certifying good manufacturing practice (GMP). Ginsenoside Rb1 and Rg1, representing protopanaxadiol and protopanaxatriol ginsenosides, respectively, are accepted as marker substances in quality control standards worldwide. However, the current analytical methods for these two compounds recommended by Korean, Chinese, European, and Japanese pharmacopoeia do not apply to red ginseng preparations, particularly the extract, because of the relatively low content of the two agents in red ginseng compared to white ginseng. In manufacturing fresh ginseng into red ginseng products, ginseng roots are exposed to a high temperature for many hours, and the naturally occurring ginsenoside Rb1 and Rg1 are converted to artifact ginsenosides such as Rg3, Rg5, Rh1, and Rh2 during the heating process. The analysis of ginsenosides in commercially available ginseng products in Korea led us to propose the inclusion of the (20S)- and (20R)-ginsenoside Rg3, including ginsenoside Rb1 and Rg1, as additional reference materials for ginseng preparations. (20S)- and (20R)-ginsenoside Rg3 were isolated by Diaion HP-20 adsorption chromatography, silica gel flash chromatography, recrystallization, and preparative HPLC. HPLC fractions corresponding to those two ginsenosides were recrystallized in appropriate solvents for the analysis of physico-chemical properties. Documentation of those isolated ginsenosides was achieved according to the method proposed by Gaedcke and Steinhoff. The ginsenosides were subjected to analyses of their general characteristics, identification, purity, content quantification, and mass balance tests. The isolated ginsenosides showed 100% purity when determined by the three HPLC systems. Also, the water content was found to be 0.534% for (20S)-Rg3 and 0.920% for (20R)-Rg3, meaning that the net mass balances for (20S)-Rg3 and (20R)-Rg3 were 99.466% and 99.080%, respectively. From these results, we could assess and propose a full spectrum of physico-chemical properties of (20S)- and (20R)-ginsenoside Rg3 as standard reference materials for GMP-based quality control.

차상위 계층 우울 독거노인 삶의 경험: 현상학적 연구 (A Study on the Experience of Life in Near Poor Elderly Living Alone in Depression: Phenomenological Study)

  • 연구의 목적은 차상위 계층 우울 독거노인 삶의 경험을 통하여 삶의 의미를 파악하고 어떠한 삶을 살아가는지 본질적 구조를 알아보고자 함에 있다. 연구 대상은 인천광역시 A 정신건강복지센터에 등록된 65세 이상 노인으로, 한국형 노인우울척도(KGDS) 9점 이상, 현재 독거생활 1년 이상 된 의사소통의 어려움이 없는 차상위 계층 8명이다. 연구방법은 개인 심층 인터뷰를 통하여 2018년 5월부터 2019년 10월까지 Colaizzi 분석방법을 적용한 질적 연구이다. 연구결과 48개의 주제와 19개의 주제모음, 6개의 범주가 도출되었다. 참여자들이 차상위 계층 우울 독거노인으로 살아가는 경험은 '도움 없이 살수 없는 초라한 삶', '몸과 마음이 병든 삶', '자립하고 싶은 삶', '감사하는 삶', '내면의 평화가 있는 삶', '제도적 보완이 필요한 삶'으로 나타났다. 연구를 통해 차상위 계층 우울 독거노인을 위한 지역사회의 정서적 지지 프로그램 개발을 위한 정보를 제공하고 국가적인 차원의 다양한 복지 정책을 위한 근거 자료의 기초가 되고자 한다.

대학생이 인식하는 학생성공 개념에 관한 탐색적 연구: CQR-M 분석을 중심으로 (An Exploratory Study on the Concept of Student Success Recognized by College Students)

  • 본 연구는 대학생이 인식하는 학생성공의 개념을 조사하기 위한 탐색적 연구이다. 학생들의 자유로운 생각을 듣기위해 온라인 설문지를 활용해 개방형 설문을 진행하고 99명의 응답을 분석하였다. 응답결과는 CQR-M(Consensual Qualitative Research-Modified)을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 '학생성공의 의미', '학생성공을 위한 대학 환경 요인', '학생성공에 필요한 심리적 요인' 등 3개의 영역에서 25개 범주가 도출되었다. 첫 번째 영역인 대학생이 인식하는 '학생성공의 의미'에서는 '학업성취·취업 역량 증진·다양한 경험 쌓기·만족스러운 취업·원하는 진로 설정·관계형성 능력 증진·나만의 목표 설정과 달성·자기 개발·만족스러운 대학생활'의 9개의 범주가 도출되었다. 두 번째 영역인 '학생성공을 위한 대학 환경 요인'에서는 '진로개발 지원·직무역량 향상 시스템·대학생활 참여지원·인적 네트워크 형성 기회·학습역량 증진 시스템·경제적 지원 확대·학생 편의를 위한 환경'으로 7개 범주가 도출되었다. 세 번째 영역인 '학생성공에 필요한 심리적 요인'에서는 '학습능력·자기효능감·대인관계 유능성·자기인식 및 개선·직무역량·자기조절 능력·풍부한 경험·진로인식·자존감'의 9개의 범주가 도출되었다. 각 영역별 빈도와 결과를 분석하여 제시하고, 연구의 의의와 제한점을 논의하였으며, 후속연구에 대한 제언을 하였다.

Why Genuine Luxury Brands Are Consumed? Counterfeits? Examining Consumer Identification

  • Owing to increased number of luxury brand users, both genuine and counterfeit luxury product consumption continues to increase every year. Luxury brand is defined as use or display of a particular branded products which brings the ownership prestige apart from its functional utility(Grossmand and Shapiro 1988). Some luxury brands have imitations sold in marketplace due to their popularity. These imitations or counterfeits have been jumping on the bandwagon of the upturn in sales of their originals. The purpose of our study is to understand consumer's underlying motives to consume luxury brands, genuine and or counterfeits. To do this, we propose functional theories of attitudes, decision-making styles, and life attitudes to form the determining causes for different consumption choices of luxury brands: genuine brands, counterfeit brands, both genuine and counterfeit brands, and no consumption on luxury brands types. In proposed causal pathways, we examine moderated effects of socio-psychological factors to further investigate if consumer profiles would exert influences in causal relationships. From the existing theories of functional attitudes: value-expressive and social-adjustive attitudes, we developed and introduced a new measure of rationality-consumptive attitude. From the existing eight decision-making characteristics of consumer styles inventory(CSI), three measures of high-quality, hedonic-shopping, and price-shopping styles were primarily applied in the study along with newly introduced measure of 'high-price' being added, which makes four total. Seven life attitude measures of life purpose, life control, will to meaning, goal seeking, future mean to fulfill, life satisfaction, and religiosity were applied. Finally, such socio-psychological measures as age, gender, marital status, income, and age-gap between couples were assumed to function as moderators. With 430 valid study samples, ages from 20s to 50s, with more females(316) than males(114), with average personal possessions of 5 genuine and 9 counterfeit luxury brands, we conducted questionnaire survey. Results indicated that social-adjustive function is totally disappeared in the relationship due to current social trend of widespread consumptions on both genuine and counterfeit brands which in turn, make consumers feel less special on wearing or carrying them unlike in the past. Self-expressive function and rationality-consumptive functions act as strong catalysts for genuine brand consumption and counterfeit brand consumption, respectively. On consumers' decision-making styles, high-price sublation is the most powerful indicator anticipating counterfeit consumption, even more powerful than personal incomes. In life attitude, the overall model fit was not validated, and only life control and life satisfaction are proven to be significant on both genuine and counterfeit product consumptions. Employment of socio-psychological factors in the model improved understanding of users further. Young consumers tend to go for genuine products over counterfeits. Consumers in different income groups; low, medium and high, all significantly consume genuine products for reasons of different decision-making styles. The results indicated that consumers whose personal disposition is predisposed to consume products in the form of reflection of his or her personality, go only for genuine brands for quality reason, while consumers who rationally consume products for its function or usability, go only for counterfeits for high-price sublation reason. Meanwhile, both product users support for high-price orientation who are not well off.

간호대학생의 동아리참여 자원봉사 경험 (Experiences of Volunteer Group Activity among Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 동아리 활동을 통한 자원봉사 경험의 의미를 알아보기 위해 현상학적으로 접근한 질적 연구이다. 2015년 5월 1일부터 6월 12일까지 3개 대학에서 동아리 활동을 하는 간호대학생 19명을 대상으로 자료수집을 하였다. 연구질문은 "당신은 간호학 전공자로서 대학생 동아리 활동을 통한 자원봉사를 하면서 어떤 경험을 하였습니까?"이었으며 1-3회 30-45분간 심층인터뷰를 하였다. 기록된 내용 분석과정에서 연구자들은 연구자간 상호일치성을 위해 3차례의 의미 재분석의 과정을 통해 연구자간 통합된 의미를 도출하여 연구결과의 타당도를 높였다. 연구결과는 '낯선 상황에 놓여져 힘듦', '한계에 부딪힘', '뿌듯함이 밀려드는 대학생활의 쉼표', '성숙한 인간관계로의 발돋움', '변화된 나를 발견', '전공으로의 접근', '미래에 대한 자부심'의 7개 중심 주제를 도출하였다. 이러한 간호대학생의 자원봉사 경험을 바탕으로 보다 지속적인 봉사활동을 위해 대학과 지역사회의 공동목표를 설립하고 해결해 나가는 프로그램 도입이 필요함을 시사하고 있다.
