  • The first object of this study is to clarify the newly demanded service to the visiter in the museum. And the second is to consider the spatial configuration on the layout of exhibition and the shape of exhibition room from the view points of behavior of appreciation and other methodology. The results of this study are as follows : The exhibition content and structure of Seoul Museum of History formed by a story-line according to the theme of an each zone fixed sequence in an each exhibition that we are achieved. But the layout of exhibition and the shape of exhibition consist on the other hand of the freedom selection. So the problem appeared In the difference of the exhibition content and the layout of exhibition to the behavior of appreciation. It can be said that the concept of exhibition space should be taken into account and the spatial configuration by the completed floor plan in order to satisfy the planning concepts.

  • The purpose of this study is focused on defining the types of spatial configuration of internal functions in city hotels by researching and analyzing city hotels in Korea and Japan. The scope of this study is limited to the period of early 1980's to the end of 1990's and 18 city hotels in Korea and Japan are selected as subject. Researching existing records and analyzing plans, surveys are used as the method of the study. The result of this study is as follow. First, block composition of floor plans that is used for hotel construction could be divided into three types (immanent type-6hotels, combined type-7hotels, adjacent type-4hotels). Second, the result of analysis about the internal functions and structural types of public area in city hotels is as follow. More Korean city hotels are taking concourse type (Korea 77.8%, Japan 55.6%) and hall type (Korea 22.2%, Japan 11.1%) than Japanese city hotels. However, the mixed type (concourse type +hall type) is only used in Japan (Korea 0%, Japan 33.3%). Third, as the result of the comparison of the size of public area between Korea and Japan, Korean hotels (36.70%) have larger space than Japanese hotels only in the service area. public (Korea 33.98% < Japan 34.71%), business (Korea 27.68% Japan 31.41%)and empty (Korea 1.64% < Japan 6.13%) area is taking larger space in Japanese city hotels than Korean.

And the second is to consider the Spatial Configuration on the layout of exhibition and shape of exhibition space from the view points of behavior of appreciation and other methodology, The results of this study are as follows : 1) Museums are required to offer sufficient service to the visitor for the purposes of interest, learning and sight-seeing 2) A strategic space where we can penetrate the whole room is required at the entrance of the room for the easy choice of exhibits. 3) The entrance of the room is suggested to be the most controled space.

Longitudinal reaction on conductors due to tornado wind load

  • The longitudinal force resulting from tornado loads on transmission line is considered a crucial factor contributing to the failure of transmission line structures during tornado events. Accurate estimation of this longitudinal force poses a challenge for structural designers. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to provide a set of charts that can be easily used to estimate the peak longitudinal forces transferred from the conductors to a tower. The critical wind field and corresponding configuration considered in this paper are previously studied and determined. The charts should account for all the conductor parameters that can affect the value of the longitudinal force. In order to achieve that, a parametric study is first conducted to assess the variation of the longitudinal forces with different conductor parameters, based on the critical tornado configuration. Results of this parametric study are used to develop the charts that can be used to calculate longitudinal forces by adopting a multi-variable line regression. The forces calculated from charts are validated by finite element analysis. An example for the usage of the charts is provided at the end of this paper.

  • This study build finite element analysis (FEA) models describing the bending events of coiled tubing (CT) at the wellhead and trips into the hole, accurately provide the state of stress and strain while the CT is in service. The bending moment and axial force history curves are used as loads and boundary conditions in the diametrical growth models to ensure consistency with the actual working conditions in field operations. The simulation diametrical growth results in this study are more accurate and reasonable. Analysis the factors influencing fatigue and diametrical growth shows that the internal pressure has a first-order influence on fatigue, followed by the radius of the guide arch, reel and the CT diameter. As the number of trip cycles increase, fatigue damage, residual stress and strain cumulatively increase, until CT failure occurs. Significant residual stresses remain in the CT cross-section, and the CT exhibits a residual curvature, the initial residual bending configuration of CT under wellbore constraints, after running into the hole, is sinusoidal. The residual stresses and residual bending configuration significantly decrease the buckling load, making the buckling and buckling release of CT in the downhole an elastic-plastic process, exacerbating the helical lockup. The conclusions drawn in this study will improve CT models and contribute to the operational and economic success of CT services.

  • A modeling and simulation program for an environmental control system (ECS) of a pod installed under wings of an aircraft was developed in order to estimate the system‘s performance during a flight. First, through the system configuration analysis in the main operational condition of the aircraft system, an ECS configuration adopting an air cycle machine (ACM) was selected. Therefore the modeling program was developed to simulate the ECS with an ACM. Second, the sensitivity analyses on performance variation of main components were conducted to complete the conceptual design of the ECS. A design point for the system and its components was obtained through the analysis with the modeling and simulation program. Third, in order to study the feasibility of the ECS configuration, off-design performances of the ECS on various flight conditions, such as take off, maneuver, cruise and landing etc were estimated. Dynamic characteristics were analyzed by transient performance evaluations.

  • The paper investigates the dynamic behaviour of stiffened panels. The coupled differential equations for eccentric stiffening configuration are first derived. Then a semi-analytical procedure for dynamic analysis of stiffened panels is presented. Unlike finite element or finite strip methods, where the plate is discretized into a set of elements or strips, the plate in this procedure is treated as a single element. The potential energy of the structure is first expressed in terms generalized functions that describe the longitudinal and transverse displacement profiles. The resulting non-linear strain energy functions are then transformed into unconstrained optimization problem in which mathematical programming techniques are employed to determine the magnitude of the lowest natural frequency and the associated mode shape for pre-selected plate/stiffener geometric parameters. The described procedure is verified with other numerical methods for several stiffened panels. Results are then presented showing the variation of the natural frequency with plate/stiffener geometric parameters for various stiffening configurations.

THE CANAL SYSTEM IN THE MESIOBUCCAL ROOT OF THE MAXILLARY FIRST MOLAR (상악 제1대구치 근심협측 치근의 근관계에 관한 연구)

  • This study is to investigate the canal system in the mesiobuccal root of the maxillary first molar. 61 maxillary first molars were randomly selected. Serial transverse sections were made perpendicular to the long axis of the mesiobuccal root. Each section was placed in 3% sodium hypochlorite for 24 hours and rinsed in water and dried. The resected surface was stained with 2% methylene blue dye and examined with stereomicroscope. 1 Canal configuration analysis showed that 36.1% of the specimen classified as type I, 16.4% as type II , 37.7% as type III and 9.8% as type IV. 2. Type II canal was merged in one canal within 1 to 4mm of the apex. 40% of type II canal converged at 2mm of the apex. 3. Type IV canal was divided into two canal within 2 to 4mm of the apex. 66.6% of type IV canal branched off at 2mm of the apex. 4. None of the sections had more than two main root canal. 5. 48.4% of the sections in 3mm with two canals contained an isthmusand more than 70% with two canals has isthmus at 4 to 5mm sections. 63.9% of the mesiobuccal root of maxillary first molar had two canaland 76.5% of sections with two canals in 5 MM had an isthmus. Because of this complexity the clinician should always search for extra canal carefullyand root canal system, including an isthmus, should be cleaned and shaped completelyand obturated three dimensionally for successful endodontic treatment.

  • Open Shortest Path First(OSPF) is a dynamic, hierarchical routing protocol designed to support routing in TCP/IP networks. Currently, OSPF is used as Interior Gateway Protocol(IGP) in many routers. In this paper, we analyze the variation of number of OSPF routing packets in case of changing the network configuration. The results show that the number of packets in case of adding new link increase five times than one in case of normal operation.

STSAT RWA Micro-Vibration Test and Analysis (과학기술위성 반작용휠의 미소진동 측정 및 분석)

  • STSAT RWA (Reaction Wheel Assembly) micro-vibration is measured using KISTLER dynamic plate that can provide the time signals of three orthogonal forces and torques simultaneously up to 400Hz. In the post-processing, measured data are evaluated with respect to the wheel spin rate in both time and frequency domains, and the static/dynamic unbalances are evaluated from the extracted first harmonic component. Also the friction torque profile at each wheel speed is estimated from the measured data. Several higher order harmonic components are observed, that comes from its rotor shape as well as the wheel bearing characteristics. One of the most peculiar characteristics of this wheel is that the dynamic properties of two radial unbalance components are much different from each other as the RWA mounting configuration on a spacecraft is different from conventional RWA mounting configuration. Rocking mode is not appeared below 400Hz for all operating speed because the wheel size is very small. The post-processed results will be used for jitter analysis of STSAT due to RWA micro-vibration.
