  • There has been increasing of using Internet shopping mall like an e-business, and it means that the analysis technique of appetence for webpase visitors logging into the case of analyzing the degree of concern and using them in the personalization has been absolutely advanced. For heavy web pages, it is impossible to use click-stream based analysis in analyzing interest for each area by what kind of information the visitors are interested in to. A web browser of a limited size has difficulty in expressing on a screen information about what they want, or what hey are looking for. Pagescrolling is used to overcome such a limitation in expression. In this study, a analyzing system of degree of concern for Webpage is presented, designed and implemented using page scrolling to track the position of the scroll bar and movements of the window cursor regularly within a window browser for real-time transfer to analyze user's interest by using information received from the analysis of the visual perception area of the web page.

  • This survey was conducted to assess the consumer perceptions of food-related hazard in 500 housewives from all over Korea. The subjects were selected by stratified random sampling method. The survey was performed using structured questionnaire through telephone interview by skilled interviewers. The results showed that 34.6% of the respondents felt secure and were not concerned about food safety, and 65.4% were concerned about food safety. Logistic regression analysis showed that the increasing concern on food brands, food additives (such as food preservatives and artificial color), and imported foodstuffs indicated the current increasing concern on food safety. Other related factors indicating the increasing concern on food safety were education level and care for children's health. The respondents who cared about food safety expressed a high degree of concern on processed foodstuffs such as commercial boxed lunch (93.3%), imported foods (92.7%), fastfoods (89.9%), processed meat products (88.7%), dining out (85.6%), cannery and frozen foods (83.5%), and instant foods (82.0%). The lowest degree of concern was on rice. All the respondents perceived that residues of chemical substances such as pesticides and food additives, and endocrine disrupters were the most potential food risk factors, followed by food-borne pathogens, and GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms). However, these results were not consistent with scientific judgment. Therefore, more education and information were needed for consumers' awareness of facts and myths about food safety. In addition, the results showed that consumers put lower trust in food products information such as food labels, cultivation methods (organic or not), quality labels, and the place of origin. Nevertheless, the respondents expressed their desire to overcome alienation, and recognized the importance of knowing of the origin or the producers of food. They identified that people who need to take extreme precautions on food contamination were the producers, government officials, food companies, consumers, the consumer's association, and marketers, arranged in the order of highest to lowest. They also believed that the production stage of agriculture was the most important step for improving the level of food safety Therefore, the results indicated that there is a need to introduce safety systems in the production of agricultural products, as follows: Good Agricultural Practice (GAP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Traceability System (75).

The purpose of present study is to check the application of PIV for the successive ground deformation during deep excavation. To meet the objectives of concern study, a series of reduce scale model test box experiments are performed by considering the wall stiffness, ground water table effect and ground relative density. The results are presented in form of contour and vector plots and further based on PIV analysis wall and ground displacement profile are drawn. The results of present study, indicate that, the PIV technique is useful to demonstrate the ground deformation zone during the successive ground excavation as the degree of accuracy in PIV analysis and measured results with LVDT are within 1%. Further the vector and contours plot effectively demonstrate the ground behavior under different conditions and the PIV analysis results fully support the measured results.

  • This study was designed to find out how the sociocultural attitudes toward appearance, BMI and body image of adult women affect their self-esteem. A questionnaire was prepared in the survey and a total of 456 adult women were selected by way of stratified random sampling. The research findings are as follows: 1. The sociocultural attitudes toward appearance were shown in two factors of 'internalization' and 'awareness'. The body image was shown in three dimensions of 'care for appearance', 'concern about weight', and 'appearance attractiveness'. 2. Internalization, recognition, and BMI influenced on 'care for appearance'. 'Concern about weight' was affected by internalization and BMI. Appearance attractiveness was affected only by BMI. 3. Adult women's self-esteem was influenced by appearance attractiveness, internalization, and care for appearance. 4. The behaviors of appearance management were differed according to the sociocultural attitudes towards appearance. Therefore, adult women form a higher degree of self-esteem is formed when they accept what they are regardless of their actual BMI and when they evaluate their body positively.

  • The corrosion failure of electronic devices has been a major reliability concern lately. This failure is an ongoing concern because of miniaturization of integrated circuits (IC) and the increased use of polymers in electronic packaging. Recently, plasma-polymerized cyclohexane films were considered as a possible candidate for a interlayer dielectric for multilever metallization of ultra large scale integrated (ULSI) semiconductor devices. In this paper the protective ability of above films as a function of deposition temperature and RF power in an 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution were examined by polarization measurement. The film was characterized by FTIR spectroscopy and contact angle measurement. The protective efficiency of the film increased with increasing deposition temperature and RF power, which induced the higher degree of cross-linking and hydrophobicity of the films.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of perceived market influence, which is an important psychological factor influencing consumer behavior in the market, and explain how consumer beliefs related to the market can affect sustainable consumer behavior. First, this study found that gaps in perceived market influence were statistically significant for age and job. Second, environmental concern, organic food consumption (vegetables and meats), and purchase behavior of organic foods were found to be significantly different by degree of perceived market influence of consumers. The mean values were found to be high for the group having strong perceived market influence. This tendency suggests an association between higher perceived market influence consumers and more environmentally friendly consumer behavior. Lastly, this study used Structural Equation Modeling to analyze the effect of perceived market influence as a moderating variable and mediating variable on the relationship between environmental concerns and consumer behavior toward organic foods. The results show a mediating effect on perceived market influence, but a moderating effect could not be found. This result implies that perceived market influence might indirectly affect consumer behavior when transferring environmental concerns to consumer behavior toward organic foods.
