This research is focused on how to divide the upper chest type and to find out the amount to be removed at the neckline according to the different upper chest type and different neckline depth. The result of the research is as followed. 1. In the result of the factor analysis, the upper chest could be explained by six factors such as the shape factor of the upper chest, shoulder curve factor, shoulder sloping factor, space factor from shoulder to waist, upper chest slope factor, and the bust size factor. 2. The shape of the upper chest could be divided by three groups. The first group is characterized as lagging and bent backward shoulder, slight slope of upper chest, and small bust. The second group is comparatively curved at the upper chest and big bust. The third group is rising and bent forward shoulder, slight curved upper chest. 3. The amount to be removed at the different neckline depth and in these three types of upper chest had a difference due to the differences of the upper chest shape containing the shoulder shape.
The removal efficiency of herbicide glyphosate in a drinking water treatment system was investigated. Four major processes of a drinking water treatment system were selected and experiments were performed separately including; treatments by sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), a sedimentation process by PAC (polyaluminum chloride), ozonation and a GAC (granular activated carbon) treatment. In the sodium hypochlorite experiment, about 50% of the glyphosate was removed by 2 mg/L of hypochlorite and more than 90% was eliminated when 5 mg/L of NaOCl was applied. Also, AMPA, the main metabolite of glyphosate, was treated with hypochlorite. More than 30% of the AMPA was removed by 2 mg/L of hypochlorite and 50% by 5 mg/L. In the PAC experiment, it was determined that more than 60% could be removed. Further experiments were performed and the results indicated that the removed amount was dependent upon the amount of soil and upon the properties of the soil especially that of clay minerals. Ozonation could oxidize glyphosate to its byproducts at about a level of 50%. In contrast, when 1 mg/L of glyphosate was treated with GAC, the amount removed was negligible. The results of this experiment were conclusive. We confirmed that drinking water, which has been contaminated with water polluted with glyphosate can be effectively purified by the application of the drinking water treatment processes currently used.

Sixty human premolar teeth were used for this in vitro study. After each tooth was sectioned mesiodistally, one half was used for the experimental group and the other half for the control. Three groups were made for each fluoride applying method and twenthy teeth were assigned to each group. Ten teeth were used for evaluating total fluoride amount and the other ten were used for firmly-bound fluoride. Fluorshield was used for fluoride-releasing sealant and 1.23% APF, 0.05% NaF were used for topical application fluorides. Each tooth was cleaned with a tooth brush using nonfluoride containing pumice before the experiment. In the sealant group, fluoroshield was applied to the enamel surface without etching procedure and stored in $37^{\circ}C$ saline for 30 days. After 30 days, sealant was removed with explorer without scratching the enamel surface and washed with distilled water and dried. In the APF group, each tooth was immersed in 1.23% APF for 30 min then washed and dried in the same manner. In the NaF group, each tooth was immersed in 0.05% NaF for 24 hours then washed and dried as described above. After each fluoride regimen was applied, ten teeth were randomly selected from each group and immersed in 1M KOH solution for 24 hours to remove loosely-bound fluoride possibly deposited by the three different fluorides applied. In each group, total fluoride amount deposited and the amount of enamel removed by acid biopsy were calculated. After loosely-bound fluoride was removed, firmly-bound fluoride deposited and the amount of enamel removed by acid biopsy were also calculated. Total fluoride amount deposition was significantly increased in the APF and NaF groups, but not in the sealant group. Amount of enamel removed by acid-biopsy was also significantly diminished in the APF and NaF groups, but not in the sealant groups. After loosely-bound fluoride was removed from each groups, no statistical difference was found in the amount of firmly-bound fluoride in any groups. Also no effect of firmly-bound fluoride on enamel dissolution was shown in any groups after loosely-bound fluoride was removed from each group. In conclusion, topical application method of APF or NaF is more effective than fluoride-releasing sealant application to make $CaF_2$ coating on enamel surface and $CaF_2$ coating is the main source for anticariogenic effect of fluoride. However, longterm anticariogenic effect of fluoride-releasing sealant should be further evaluated.
The present study was carried out to examine the changes in functional properties of cholesterol-removed compound whipping cream made by $\beta$-CD treated cream and palm oil. Six different ratios of cream to palm oil (10:0 as control, 9:1, 8:2, 7:3, 6:4, and 5:5, v/v) were tested. The overrun percentage increased with an increased amount of palm oil. When the ratio of cream to palm oil was 10:0 (control), the overrun was 130%, which was significantly lower than other ratios reached to 150%. Foam instability was measured as 3.1 ml defoamed cream in control, however, the value of foam instability decreased with an increase of palm oil addition. The TBA value of cholesterol-removed compound whipping cream increased from 0.08 to 0.13 with no addition of palm oil during 4 wk storage. When the ratio of cream to palm oil was 5:5, TBA value increased dramatically at 3 wk and thereafter. Among sensory characteristics, texture value increased with higher amount of palm oil, however, flavor and overall preferences were opposite. Above results indicated that partial substitution of palm oil in manufacture of cholesterol-removed compound whipping cream resulted in a stable foam development with little adverse effect on flavor and lipid oxidation during storage. The present study showed a possible application in manufacture of cholesterol-removed compound whipping cream, which may be effective in other foods.

To acquire preliminary data for the control of total nitrogen (TN) in S sewage treatment plant, which processes merging food waste and sewage, the effect of reject water on the total nitrogen in the effluent was examined in this study. Water quality data for the plant during the winter period were applied to calculate the mass balance. It was calculated that at least more than 231 kg/d TN should be removed to control the TN concentration in the effluent. Assuming 18 ppm as the goal TN concentration in the effluent, about 941 kg/d TN should be removed from this plant. Approximately 10% more TN should be removed than at present to achieve this result. It was observed that dewatering the filtrate had a considerably greater effect on the total nitrogen in the effluent than the reject waters. The dewatered filtrate contained 1,399kg/d TN. The contribution of the dewatered filtrate to the TN concentration in the effluent was 0.183, which was 7 to 23 times greater than the other reject waters. In addition, the amount of total nitrogen from the reject water, with the exception of the dewatering filtrate, was lower than the amount of TN that should be removed from S sewage treatment plant. Therefore, it was concluded that one of the most effective methods for controlling the TN concentration in effluent was the removal of the TN contained in the dewatering filtrate.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the root canal transportation and remaining dentin / cementum thickness after using hand and ultrasonic instrumentation in the curved mesial root canals of extracted human mandibular molars. Fourty - six clear polyether blocks were made and randomly divided into two groups: hand instrumentation group with K - Flex files and ultrasonic instrumentation group with Suprasson SP unit. All root canals were instrumented to a size corresponding to a # 30 K - Flex file 1mm short from the radiographic apex. The roots were then sectioned perpendicular to the long axis so the apical and middle third could be evaluated with the Zoom stereomicroscope. The results were as follows : 1. In the total amount of removed dentin at middle third level, there was not significant difference between the hand instrumentation and ultrasonic instrumentation (P>0.05). 2. In the total amount of removed dentin at apical third level, there was more removed by the ultrasonic instrumentation than hand instrumentation(P<0.005). 3. In the transportation width, there was not significant difference between the two groups at both sectioned levels(P>0.05). 4. It was suggested that the canal was transported distally at middle third level and mesially at apical third level by booth techniques.
The purpose of this study was to compare the shape of root canal after instrumentation with some engine driven NiTi files. Thirty narrow and curved canals(15-35 degree) of mesial canals of extracted human mandibular first molars were divided into three groups. Group 1: After radicular access with Gates Glidden drill, apical shaping using step back method with Flexo file Group 2: After radicular access with Gates Glidden drill, apical shaping with Profile .04 Group 3: Canal shaping with GT file and Profile .04. Using modified Bramante technique, the root was sectioned at 2 mm from apical foramen, height of curvature, 2 mm from canal orifice. Canal centering ratio, amount of transport, amount of dentin removed, shape of canal were measured and statistical analysis is done using SPSS Program V 7.5. The results were as follows: 1. Canal centering ratio of group 3 was the lowest at coronal part, but there was no statistical difference. Centering ratio of group 2 was the lowest at curve part, and there was statistical difference between group 1(P<0.05). Centering ratio of group 2 was the lowest at apical part, but there was no statistic difference. 2. Amount of transport of group 3 was the lowest at coronal part, but there was no statistical difference. Amount of transport of group 2 was the lowest at curve part, and there was statistical difference between group 1(P<0.05). Amount of transport of group 3 was the lowest at apical part, and there was statistical difference between group 1 and group 2, group 1 and group 3(P<0.05). 3. Amount of dentin removed of group 3 was the lowest at coronal part, bur there was no statistical difference. Amount of dentin removed of group 2 was the lowest at curve part, but there was no statistical difference. Amount of dentin removed or group 2 was the lowest at apical part, and there was statistical difference between group 1 and group 2, group 1 and group 3(P<0.05). 4. The shape of the canals after instrumentation varied among the groups. The majority of canals at coronal and curve part for group 1 were round in shape(7 in 10), those at apical part were oval(8 in 10). The majority of canals at coronal part for group 2 were round in shape(7 in 10) and there was no difference in the number of shape at other part. There was no difference in the number of shape at every part for group 3. As above results, NiTi rotary instrumentation showed a trend to remain more centered in the canal than SS file instrumentation. At using NiTi file, coronal shaping with Gates Glidden drill was not statistically different from shaping with GT file. But shaping with GT file showed tapered canals, so it may be said that shaping with GT file is a safe and valuable instrumentation method.
Chicken bone is not adequately utilized despite its high nutritional value and protein content. Although not a common raw material, chicken bone can be used in many different ways besides manufacturing of collagen products. In this study, a multi-step procedure was optimized to isolate chicken bone collagen for higher yield and quality for manufacture of collagen products. The chemical composition of chicken bone was 2.9% nitrogen corresponding to about 15.6% protein, 9.5% fat, 14.7% mineral and 57.5% moisture. The lowest amount of protein loss was aimed along with the separation of the highest amount of visible impurities, non-collagen proteins, minerals and fats. Treatments under optimum conditions removed 57.1% of fats and 87.5% of minerals with respect to their initial concentrations. Meanwhile, 18.6% of protein and 14.9% of hydroxyproline were lost, suggesting that a selective separation of non-collagen components and isolation of collagen were achieved. A significant part of impurities were selectively removed and over 80% of the original collagen was preserved during the treatments.

The lead has to be removed for the recycling of copper alloy. The lead cannot be removed from the copper alloy by oxidation. It can be removed by the evaporation because of its high vapor pressure. However, rare information is found on removal of lead from copper alloy. The purpose of present work is to provide a fundamental knowledges on the removal of lead from the copper alloy by evaporation. Gas injection was made in molten copper alloy, and the evaporation rate of lead was measured. The influence of Ar gas flow rata(2~4 L/min), initial contents of lead(2~4wt%Pb), temperature(1200~140$0^{\circ}C$) was investigated based on the thermodynamic and the kinetics. The rate constant is increased with increasing flow rate of Ar and temperature. Though amount of lead removed is increased with higher initial lead concentration, the rate constant is not changed significantly. The activation energy is estimated from the temperature dependence of the rate constant. Also removal of lead from the copper by adding chloride was made for the comparison.
Simultaneous removal of phosphorus and nitrogen from wastewater was studied by the anaerobic-aerobic system of activated sludge. In the anaerobic stage, most of the influent glucose was removed and orthophosphate was released, when the nitrate and/or nitrite concentration in the wastewater was almost zero. The amount of the released phosphorus was found to be directly proportional to the amount of the removed glucose. When the ratio of phosphorus to glucose in the influent was less than 0.04, the phosphorus in the wastewater was almost completely removed during the aerobic state. Under the anaerobic condition, activated sludge released phosphate and excess removal of phosphate occurred during the aerobic condition. Namely, the stress received in anaerobic period stimulated the uptake of phosphorus in aerobic period. The amounts of phosphorus release in the anaerobic and uptake in the aerobic stage were less in proportional to the concentration of $NO_x-N$. Further, if the initial ratio of $NO_2-N$/glucose was less than 0.37, the inorganic nitrogen in the influent could be completely removed.
