In this paper, we analyze the typical phase voltage and line current waveform characteristics of the distribution system with 3 phase small synchronous generation source in case with load and non-load group, in order to investigate the power quality for end load connected of generation source. As demonstrated by our experimental results, the distortion and power quality of phase voltage and line current waveform were relatively good for low voltage 3 phase model grids connected of 3 phase small synchronous generation source in case with non-load group. However, distortion and power quality of voltage and current waveform was poor for low voltage 3 phase model grids connected to 3 phase small synchronous generation source in the load group with some phase voltage and frequency difference. From the above results, we conclude that the phase voltage and frequency of 3 phase generation source must be identical to that of distribution system source to maximize the power quality. Also, special attention is required in case of having load group or non-load group to 3 phase generation source.
Phase evolutions involving nucleation stages together with diffusional growth have been examined in order to provide a guideline for determining rate limiting stages during phase evolutions. In multiphase materials systems in coatings, composites or multilayered structures, diffusion treatments often result in the development of metastable/intermediate phases at the reaction interfaces. The development of metastable phases during solid state interdiffusion demonstrates that the nucleation reaction can be one controlling factor. Also, the concentration gradient and the relative magnitudes of the component diffusivities provide a basis for a phase selection and the application of a kinetic bias strategy in the phase selection. For multicomponent alloy systems, the identification of the operative diffusion pathway is central to control phase formation. Experimental access to the nucleation and growth stage is discussed in thin film multi layers and bulk samples.
The planning phase of construction project success or failure of the enterprise decision the 1st dangerous duration which occurs very there is a possibility of making with the phase which is important, of construction project in life cycle most many risk. But the risk management from planning phase well does not become accomplished is the actual condition from existing construction project. Consequently, it classifies the risk event from project initial planning phase of construction project from this study which probably is substantial risk event the possibility of accomplishing from a planning phase successfully in order to be.
This paper presents a scheme to design optimal placement of phase-shifting transformers for power system congestion problems. A good design of phase-shifting transformers placement can improve total transfer capability in interconnected systems. In order to find the optimal placement of phase-shifting transformers, the power flows of the interesting transmission lines are evaluated using sequential quadratic programming technique. This algorithm considers power balance equations and security constraints such as voltage magnitudes and transmission line capacities. The proposed scheme is tested in 10 machines 39 buses and IEEE 57 buses systems. Test result shows that the proposed method can find the optimal placement of phase-shifting transformers to solver power system congestion problems.
The effect of grain refinement on the plastic deformation behaviour of nanocrystalline metallic materials is investigated. A phase mixture model in which a single phase material is considered as an effectively two-phase one is discussed. A distinctive feature of the model is that grain boundaries are treated as a separate phase deforming by a diffusion mechanism. For the grain interior phase two concurrent mechanisms are considered: dislocation glide and mass transfer by diffusion. The proposed constitutive model was implemented into a finite element code (DEFORM) using a semicoupled approach. The finite element method was applied to simulating room temperature tensile deformation of Cu down to the nanoscale grain size in order to investigate the pre- and post-necking behaviour.
A novel two-phase PIV algorithm using a single camera has been proposed, which introduces a method of image-separation into respective phase images, and is applied to freely rising single bubble. Gas bubble, tracer particle and background each have different gray intensity ranges on the same image frame when reflection and dispersion in the phase interface are intrinsically eliminated by optical filters and fluorescent material. Further, the signals of the two phases do not interfere with each other. Gas phase velocities are obtained from the separated bubble image by applying the two-frame PTV. On the other hand, liquid phase velocities are obtained from the tracer particle image by applying the cross-correlation algorithm. Moreover, in order to increase the SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) of the cross-correlation of tracer particle image, image enhancement is employed.
In this work, a phase shifter radio-frequency integrated chip (RFIC) using a simple all-pass network is presented. As a tuning element of the phase shifter RFIC, tunable capacitors with a multi-layer dielectric of a para-/ferro-/para-electrics using a high tunable BST ferroelectric and a low-loss BZN paraelectric thin film were utilized. In order to evaluate and analyze the fabricated phase shifter RFIC, the same elements such as an inductor and capacitor integrated into it are also fabricated and tested. The designed phase shifter RFIC was fabricated on a quartz substrate in the size of $1.16{\times}1.21mm^2$. As the test results, the maximum phase difference of $350^{\circ}$ is obtained at 15 V and its tuning frequency bandwidth is 90 MHz from 2.72 to 2.81GHz.
In this paper, phase noise analysis result for 2.4 GHz PLL(phase locked loop) using SPD(sample phase detector) is proposed. It can be used for high performance frequency synthesizer's LO(local oscillator) to extend output frequency range or for LO of offset PLL to reduce a division rate or for clock signal of DDS(direct digital synthesizer). Before manufacturing, theoretical estimation of PLL's phase noise performance should be performed. In order to calculate phase noise of PLL using SPD, Leeson model is used for modeling phase noise of VCO(voltage controlled oscillator) and OCXO(ovened crystal oscillator). After theoretically analyzing phase noise of PLL, optimized loop filter bandwidth was determined. And then, phase noise of designed loop filter was calculated to find suitable OP-Amp. Also, the calculated result of phase noise was compared with the measured one. The measured phase noise of PLL was -130 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz.
Following the success of detecting fringes on KVN (Korean VLBI Network), a phase referencing observation is currently planned in order to achieve a better sensitivity in mm-VLBI. The high frequency observation ($\geq$ 22 GHz), wide bandwidths (~512 MHz) and high speed data recording (~1 Gbps, Mark5B) will result in resolution and sensitivity improvement on KVN. In particular, two powerful techniques of VLBI phase correction by fast-antenna switching and multi-frequency phase referencing are also introduced in KVN, hoping to resolve the problem of atmospheric delay errors which degrade the coherence significantly. In this study, we have compared the expected performance of phase referencing between fast antenna switching and multi-frequency phase referencing and discussed the essential condition and postulates of phase referencing for KVN.
The counter emf(electromotive forces) of a permanent magnet multi-phase brushless motor is generally a non-sinusoidal wave or a non-ideal trapezoid. So, conventional modeling using a sinusoidal wave or an ideal trapezoid counter emf can result in errors. In order to reduce modeling errors for simulation and analysis the properties of a multi-phase brushless AC motor, this paper proposes a phase variable model that is a mixed modeling technique using both Finite Element Analysis(FEA) based circuits and motor voltage equations. The phase model parameters including the counter emf voltage waveform are obtained by using of FEA, and the mixed modeling technique based on circuits and equations is used to implement a simulation model for multi-phase brushless AC motors with any counter emf voltage waveforms. Adequacy of the proposed model is established from the simulation and experimental results for a seven-phase brushless motor.
