The Effect of Customer Value on Online Shopping Mall: The Moderating Role of Trust (온라인 쇼핑몰환경에서 고객가치가 로열티에 미치는 영향: 신뢰의 매개영향을 중심으로)

  • Companies consider customers as an equity, which is expected to increase customer loyalty. However, customer loyalty does not linearly increase in real world by the customer equity always. This research investigates a mediating variable which influence the relationship between customer equity drivers and customer loyalty. We focus on customer value as a customer equity driver which is the most basic factor among customer equity drivers. We examine that online trust as a mediator between the customer value and customer loyalty in on online shopping mall context. Customer value consists of perceived convenience, quality, and price. Findings indicate that online trust mediates the relationship between customer value and customer loyalty. Especially, online trust perfectly mediates the perceived convenience and the perceived quality. The perceived convenience influences online trust most significantly and perceived quality and perceived price are following in the order of strength. Our results implicate that online trust is an important mediator of the relationship between customer equity and customer loyalty in online shopping mall context and need to be managed as a customer relationship management index to increase customer loyalty. In addition, perceived convenience is the most important factor to increase online trust in matured online market.

The Effects of Critical Thinking Disposition and Problem Solving Ability on the Work Performance Assessment of Dental Hygienists (치과위생사의 비판적 사고 성향과 문제 해결 능력이 직무 수행 능력에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to improve work performance conducted at an actual clinical site by determining the relationship among critical thinking disposition, problem solving ability, and work performance. In this study, 335 dental hygienists completed self-administered survey. Final analysis was conducted with a total of 331 responses, excluding 4 questionnaire with unreliable responses and non-responses. The results indicated that as the age, educational background, and work experience of the subjects increased, their critical thinking disposition and problem solving ability scores increased and were statistically significant. For work performance, average total score was high for age, educational background and work experience, but only age and work experience were statistically significant. Critical thinking disposition, problem solving ability and work performance of the subject were relevant, and all of them were significant. Work performance was also influenced indirectly by mediating problem solving ability in critical thinking disposition. In other words, both direct and indirect effects were significant, and the existence of partial moderating effect was verified. Thus, in order to improve work performance of dental hygienists, a multilevel educational process that can simultaneously improve critical thinking disposition and problem solving ability of dental hygienists needs to be developed. Therefore, it is expected that the new dental hygiene company will be able to perform without any sense of disparity in the clinical field; this will solve the gap between dental hygiene education and practical skills.

The Mediating Effect of Self-esteem on the Relationship between Middle Aged Golf Participant's Leisure Function and Social Role Loss (중년 골프참여자의 여가기능과 사회적 역할 상실감의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between leisure function, self-esteem and social role loss among golf players in the middle age. Furthermore, it was meaningful to provide basic data on leisure activities and healthy retirement preparation through golf at the present time of the aging society. The subjects of study who adults were recruited from Seoul, Gyeonggi-do. For the data processing, it conducted frequency, reliability, confirmatory factor, correlation, and structure equaling modeling analyses. The results were as follows; First, leisure function of middle age golf participant had a positive influence on self-esteem(p<.05). Second, leisure function of middle age golf participant had a positive influence on social role loss(p<.05). Third, self-esteem of middle age golf participant had a positive influence on social role loss(p<.05). Forth, self-esteem mediated the relationship between middle age golf participant leisure function and social role loss.(p<.05).

  • Under the long-term influence of COVID-19, offline activities were interrupted and online communication became the main way. With the rapid development of Korean Wave and network information technology, there have been many entertainment communication platforms. Fans can communicate with stars and other fans and share information through entertainment and communication platforms. This can improve users' perception of the value of entertainment communication platforms, arouse emotional resonance and have a positive impact on users' platform recommendation intention. In this study, the influence of user interaction, identity and recommendation intention of entertainment communication platforms was investigated by questionnaire. The results are as follows: First, the interaction between fans and content has a positive effect on psychological and behavioral identity. Second, the interaction between fans does not affect their psychological and behavioral identity. Third, the interaction between fans and stars has a positive impact on psychological identity and behavior identity. Fourth, psychological identity and behavioral identity have a positive impact on community members' willingness to recommend. Behavioral identity plays a partial mediating role between psychological identity and recommendation intention. Based on the above analysis results, the present situation, limitations and future research directions of this study are put forward.

Understanding the Impact of Perceived Empathy on Consumer Preferences for Human and AI Agents in Healthcare and Financial Services (의료 및 금융 서비스에서 인간-AI 에이전트 선호도에 소비자가 지각하는 공감 능력의 중요성이 미치는 영향)

  • This study explores variations in preferences for human and AI agents within the medical and financial services. Study 1 investigates whether there are preferential disparities between human and AI agents across these service domains. It finds that human agents are favored over AI agents in medical services, while AI agents receive greater preference in the financial services. Study 2 delves into the underlying reasons for the preference differentials between human and AI agents by assessing the significance of certain capabilities as perceived by users in each domain. The findings reveal a mediating role of perceived empathy importance in the effect of service domains on human-AI preference. Furthermore, perceived empathy is deemed a more critical capability by users for preferring human over AI agents across both service domains compared to other capabilities such as experience and agency. This research is noteworthy for elucidating the variances in preferences for human and AI agents across medical and financial services and the rationale behind these differences. It enhances our theoretical comprehension of the pivotal factors influencing preferences for human and AI agents, underscoring the significance of human experiential capabilities like empathy.

  • In the current economic situation of China, the leadership style and organizational commitment of employees has become an important topic. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationships among leadership style, employee empowerment and organizational commitment. And help leaders to understand which leadership style is more important and suitable for them, and to increase employees sense of identify of the organization and giving them more power so that they can work more effectively. To serve this purpose, this study conducted an extensive survey of IT companies in ShenZhen, China, and 403 valid data was collected. The research model was analyzed using SPSS and AMOS. According to the result, leadership style has a profound influence on organizational commitment. And leadership style can also impact on empowerment. Employees' empowerment also significantly influence the organization commitment, and exist a mediating effect between the leadership style of organizational commitment. The results of this study provided a new reference and a more suitable leadership style for Chinese IT enterprises that transactional leadership is more effective than transformational leadership, and it is more effective to encourage employees with rewards.

College Students' Gambling Behavior: Mediating Effect of Self-Control and Multiple Group Analysis (대학생의 도박행동: 자기통제력의 매개효과 및 다집단 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to construct and test a structural equation model for college student's gambling behavior. A structured questionnaire was completed by 246 college students to analyze the relationships between perspective factors(irrational gambling belief), psychological factors(depression, anxiety), social factors(parental monitoring, parental support, friend support), self-control and gambling behavior. The moderating effects of gender, friends and family's gambling behaviors were examined. The data were analyzed using SPSS 21,0 and AMOS 20.0 programs. Self-control and psychological factors directly affected the college student's gambling behavior, while perspective factors and social factors affected it indirectly. The model fit indices of the modified model were suitable for the recommended levels. The overall study findings suggest the need to develop a gambling prevention program for college students that reinforces self-control, parental monitoring and support, and friend support while reducing irrational gambling belief, depression, and anxiety. An approach that considers gender and a development of a group counseling program for family or friends are also required.

A Structural Analysis on University Students' Consciousness of Lifelong Education, Leadership and Life Core Competencies (대학생의 평생교육의식과 리더십 및 생애핵심능력 간의 구조적 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural relation among consciousness of lifelong education, leadership and life core competencies. The subjects were 607 university students who participated in the courses of the lifelong educator in Daejeon, Chungnam and Chungbuk province. As the results of the study, first, university students' consciousness of lifelong education had positive effects on their life core competencies. Second, university students' consciousness of lifelong education had positive effects on their leadership. Third, university students' leadership had positive effects on their life core competencies. Forth, university students' leadership had mediating effect between consciousness of lifelong education and life core competencies. In other words, university students' consciousness of lifelong education influences their leadership, and then it influences their life core competencies positively. These results can be used to change university students' consciousness of lifelong education and to develop their leadership and life core competencies. In addition, the results present that their participation rate can be increased through continuous interest and participation after their graduation. The study has a realistic point to operate lifelong educator training courses and lifelong education of university, so it is meaningful to provide the theoretical and practical implications for developing lifelong education.

The Effect of Leader Emotional Labor on Followers' Work Engagement : Examining the Role of Followers' PsyCap and Quality of LMX (리더의 감정노동이 부하의 직무몰입에 미치는 영향 : 심리적 자본과 상사-부하관계의 효과 연구)

  • Almost all research on emotional labor has focused on how services workers use emotional labor. However, this study examined that leaders' emotional labor influence follower's outcomes. Especially, this study tested how the leader emotional labor influence followers' work engagement and mediating role of PsyCap between leader emotional labor and followers' work engagement. In addition, this study investigated the quality of LMX as moderator the relationship between leader emotional labor and followers' work engagement. The SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0 was used in this study. The results collected from 469 employees in domestic large Telecom and their related companies revealed that leader emotional labor positively influence followers' work engagement and PsyCap. Especially, leader deep acting and surface acting positively influence followers' work engagement, but not display of genuine emotion, and leader deep acting only positively influence followers' PsyCap. Furthermore, followers' PsyCap partially mediated the relationship between leader emotional labor and followers' work engagement. Finally, the quality of LMX as moderator in link between leader emotional labor and followers' work engagement showed when followers in high-quality LMX. Implication and suggestion for future study are discussed.

The Effects of Customer Satisfaction Based on User Experience on Commitment, Loyalty and Repeated Use in Franchise and Chain Coffee Shops (프랜차이즈와 체인 커피전문점의 이용경험에 따른 고객만족이 몰입, 충성도, 반복적 이용에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the formation of customer's repeated use that is real long-term commitment in franchise/chain coffee shops. 457 effective samples were analyzed using PASW 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. The results of the analysis of the relationships between user experience, customer satisfaction, customer commitment and repeated use are as follows. First, it was presented that atmosphere, price fairness and coffee product quality had a positive impact on customer satisfaction. Second, customer satisfaction had a positive impact on customer commitment and repeated use. Finally, there was the mediating effect of continuous commitment between customer satisfaction and repeated use. Based on the results of the above analysis, the managerial implications for increasing repeated use of coffee shops are as follows. First, the strategy for enhancing performance of user experience is to try to improve atmosphere(facilities, ambient/lighting), price fairness, coffee product quality(taste, flavor, temperature). Second, the strategy for forming repeated use is to enhance customer commitment(affective commitment, continuous/normative commitment).
