변형된 단일 막냉각홀 주위에서의 열/물질전달 및 막냉각효율 특성 (Characteristics of Heat/Mass Transfer and Film Cooling Effectiveness Around a Shaped Film Cooling Hole)

  • Two problems with jet injection through the cylindrical film cooling hole are 1) penetration of jet into mainstream rather than covering the surface at high blowing rates and 2) nonuniformity of the film cooling effectiveness in the lateral direction. Compound angle injection is employed to reduce those two problems. Compound angle injection increases the film cooling effectiveness and spreads more widely. However, there is still lift off at high blowing rates. Shaped film cooling hole is a possible means to reduce those two problems. Film cooling with the shaped hole is investigated in this study experimentally. Film cooling hole used in present study is a shaped hole with conically enlarged exit and Inlet-to-exit area ratio is 2.55. Naphthalene sublimation method has been employed to study the local heat/mass transfer coefficient and film cooling effectiveness for compound injection angles and various blowing rates around the shaped film cooling hole. Enlarged hole exit area reduces the momentum of the jet at the hole exit and prevents the penetration of injected jet into the mainstream effectively. Hence, higher and more uniform film cooling effectiveness values are obtained even at relatively high blowing rates and the film cooling jet spreads more widely with the shaped film cooling hole. And the injected jet protects the surface effectively at low blowing rates and spreads more widely with the compound angle injections than the axial injection.

Physical, Mechanical, and Antimicrobial Properties of Edible Film Produced from Defatted Soybean Meal Fermented by Bacillus subtilis

  • In order to extend the shelf-life of packaged or coated foods, an antibacterial edible film was developed from soybean meal that had been fermented with Bacillus subtilis under the optimum condition of pH 7.0-7.5 and $33^{\circ}C$ for 33 h. The water vapor permeability of the fermented film ($86.0 mg/cm^2{\cdot}h$) was higher than those of normal soybean films ($66.9 mg/cm^2{\cdot}h$). Protein solubility of the fermented film was also higher than ordinary soy protein film at the pH range of 3 -10. The fermented soybean film had higher tensile strength and lower $\%$ elongation (elongation rate) than the ordinary soybean film, mainly because partial hydrolysis of proteins in the soybean film occurred during fermentation. Antimicrobial properties of the fermented film on foodstuffs were measured by placing the films on surime, jerked beef, and mashed sausage media; containing $10^2-10^3$ CFU/plate of foodborne pathogenic bacteria, and showed significantly higher inhibitory effects on the growths of all the indicating bacteria. The film could be used as a packaging material in the food industry. However, before direct application of the fermented film to the commercial food industry, its poor mechanical and antibacterial properties need to be improved.

  • TPS (Temperature Programmed Sublimation) technology is known to research for the plane evaporation of the organic film.[5] Using TPS technology, the plane source evaporation of NPB organic film has been studied for the first time. The NPB organic film consists of nano scale film phase and bulk phase on a substrate. The 400 ${\AA}$ in film phase thickness of NPB sublimates at the $175^{\circ}$ of the Ta made metal plate. It was proved that the sublimation temperature of the organic film has much lower than that of the organic powder. ($130^{\circ}$ is lower for Alq3 and $90^{\circ}$ is lower for NPB.)

준설토 탈수에 적합한 PVDF Film Actuator 구동용 파워 드라이버 개발 (Development of Power Driver for PVDF Film Actuator Applied to Dehydration of Dredged Sediment)

  • 본 연구에서는 준설토 탈수를 촉진시키기 위하여, 크기와 구동 주파수에 따라 임피던스 값이 크게 변화하는 PVDF film을 진동시키는 파워 드라이버를 개발하였다. PVDF film actuator를 구동하기 위한 파워 드라비버 IGBT를 이용하여 Full-Bridge 회로로 구현하였으며, R-L-PVDF Film으로 구성된 임피던스 정합 회로를 구현하여 PVDF Film에 최대한 많은 전력이 인가될 수 있도록 설계하였다. 개발한 파워 드라이버로 PVDF film actuator를 구동하여 준설토의 탈수 실험을 진행한 결과, 자연 탈수와 비교할 때 탈수 시작 후 30분 동안 약 3배 빠른 탈수 효과를 확인할 수 있었고, 개발한 PVDF film actuator 구동용 파워 드라이버를 이용하여 진동을 유발하는 준설토 탈수 장치에 적용할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • Multilayer co-extrusion blown film construction is a popular technique for producing plastic films for various packaging industries. Automated detection of defective films can improve the quality of film production process. In this paper, we propose a film inspection system that can detect and classify film defects robustly. In our system, first, film images are acquired through a high speed line-scan camera under an appropriate lighting system. In order to detect and classify film defects, an inspection algorithm is developed. The algorithm divides the typical film defects into two groups: intensity-based and texture-based. Intensity-based defects are classified based on geometric features. Whereas, to classify texture-based defects, a texture analysis technique based on local binary pattern (LBP) is adopted. Experimental results revealed that our film inspection system is effective in detecting and classifying defects for the multilayer co-extrusion blown film construction line.

Physicochemical properties and shelf-life of low-fat pork sausages wrapped with active film manufactured by sodium alginate and cherry tomato powder

  • Objective: This study was carried out to investigate physicochemical properties, and antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of low-fat sausages (LFSs) covered with sodium alginate (SA) film alone and with powder film (TSA-film) formed by cross-linking cherry tomato powder (CTP) and SA with calcium chloride (CaCl2). Methods: Sausages covered with the biodegradable film were assessed based on the measurement of pH, color (L, a, b), proximate analysis, expressive moisture (EM), texture profile analysis, total plate counts (TPC), violet red bile, and 2-Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) during storage under refrigeration. LFSs wrapped with TSA-film were compared with those wrapped with SA-film and without film (control) during storage at 10℃ for 35 days. Results: The LFSs covered with the mixed film had lower pH, lightness (L), EM%, TBARS, and TPC, but lower yellowness (b) and hardness values than those wrapped with TSA-film alone. Conclusion: Lipid oxidation and microbial growth was retarded in sausages covered with biodegradable films, especially multiple films as compared to single film, thereby resulting in extended shelf-life of the LFSs.

A new WV Film for Fast-Response-time OCB-LCD-TVs

  • We have successfully commercialized a novel optical compensation film, OCB-WV film, for OCB-LCD-TVs which has fast response time and wide viewing angle. The OCB-WV film consists of a 45degree-aligned discotic layer and a high Rth biaxial TAC film, which is suited for a roll-to-roll polarizer manufacturing process. This OCB-WV has brought out the excellent features that OCB intrinsically has, making nextgeneration fast-response LCD-TVs possible and free from image blurring in conjunction with an impulsive driving scheme.

Investigation of Surface Morphology for Nylon 4,6 Thin Film by Molecular Layer Deposition

  • We fabricated the Polyamide 4,6 (PA46) thin film using Adipoyl chloride and 1,4-butadiamine. PA46 film was grown at $70^{\circ}C$ by Molecular Layer Deposition (MLD) method. MLD is sequential and self-terminating fabrication method for organic thin film. The growth rate of PA46 is $3.5{\acute{\AA}}$ cycle. The thickness of PA46 film was measured by Ellipsometer. Surface morphology of this film was investigated by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and roughness is directly proportional to number of growing cycles.

  • 이 글의 목적은 미국의 흑인 청년감독 라이언 쿠글러의 작품과 영화세계를 분석하는데 있다. 쿠글러 감독은 독립영화에서 출발하여 현재 할리우드에서 활동 중인 흑인 청년감독으로, 자신의 문화정체성을 바탕으로 흑인의 가치관과 내면의식을 영화로 재현하며 미국 '흑인영화'의 계보를 잇고 있는 청년감독이다. 이 글에서는 대표작 <오스카 그랜트의 어떤 하루>(2013), <크리드>(2015), <블랙 팬서>(2018)를 중심으로 그의 작품세계와 영화철학을 분석하고, 당대 미국 사회현실과의 사회맥락적 의미를 규명한다. 이 연구를 통해 쿠글러 감독은 흑인의 정체성과 흑인성(blackness)을 자기반영하는 '흑인영화'의 전통을 충실히 계승하고 있으며, 동시에 할리우드에서 내면화해 온 백인 남성가부장제 이데올로기를 전복하는 21세기 '새로운 할리우드 흑인영화 파워(New Hollywood Black Film Power)'를 상징하는 청년감독임을 확인할 수 있다.

Co-Deposition of Rubrene doped Alq3 film Using Belt Source Evaporation Techniques for Large Size AMOLED

  • The belt source evaporation is for the large size AMOLED devices to re-sublimate the organic film deposited on the metal plate. Using the plane source, the PL spectrum of the doped organic film has been studied for the first time. The PL peak of the pure Alq3 film was 512nm and that of the pure Rubrene was 557nm. The PL peak of the 2% Rubrene doped Alq3 film was shifted to $536{\pm}2nm$. The PL peak wavelength measured at the front surface of the film and at the back surface of the film was measured as nearly same as that the doping ratio maintains uniform within the film thickness. In conclusion, the doping control of the organic film becomes real using the belt type plate sublimation deposition.
