제7차 개정 교육과정에 대응한 초.중.고등학교의 시설기준에 관한 연구 - 단위 학습공간 및 특별교실을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Facility Criterion for the Revised 7th Curriculum of Elementary Schools and Secondary Schools - Focused on the Unit Learning Space and Special Classroom -)

  • This study was made in order to provide the groundwork for the revised 7th education curriculum of primary and secondary education's facility criterion. Throughout this study, in which we may accomodate the new education curriculum, we prepare the guide for the standard criterion of the school systems in order to reflect the flexibility of various dictinctive regional education conditions and school qualities considering the purpose of new standard criterion of school facilities. Below is the summary of the study. Regular classroom's standard size, which is the basic module for the scale of the educational institution, accomodates current standards. Number of students per class is aimed to fit the standard number of the level of OECD member countries' in order to prepare for the future ; that is, 30 students in primary, secondary and high school to be the standard number of student per class, depending on the district conditions and construction point of time. It is advised that the number of extracurricular classrooms, according to the standard criterion of subject and hour allotment, to reflect the regional and institution's distinctive qualities by indicating the number of hours and classrooms including decimal points. That is to be done so that the founder and the interested parties of the institution, along with the architect can put to practical use when planning and designing the institution.

  • In case of Korea, while discrete mathematics is included in the traditional school curriculum the 7th Educational Reform adds a new topic of Graph Theory making it an optional subject of highschool mathematics. However, a systematic research on the curriculum of discrete mathematics is still unsatisfactory. This study is focused on comparing the curriculum of discrete mathematics in Korea with that of other countries including the United States, Britain, Japan, and Canada. Consequently, it looks into problems concerning the school curriculum of discrete mathematics in Korea to devise a proper measure to improve.

  • One of the main features of the 7th revised national curriculum is the implementation of a 'Differentiated Curriculum'. Differentiated Curriculum is often interpreted as meaning the same as 'tracking' or 'ability grouping' in western countries. In the 7th revised curriculum, mathematics is organized and implemented by 'Level-Based Differentiated Curriculum'. To develop mathematics textbooks and teaching-and-learning materials for Differentiated Curriculum, the ideas of 'Enriched and Supplemental Differentiated Curriculum'need to be applied, that is, to provide advanced contents for fast learners, and plain contents for slow learners. Level Based Differentiated Curriculum could be implemented by ability grouping either between classes or within classes. According to these two exemplary models, the implementation models for supplemental course and enriched course are determined. The contents for supplemental course are comprised of minimal essential elements selected from the standard course at a decreased level of complexity and abstraction. The contents of enriched courses are focused on various applications of mathematical knowledge in the real world. Special remedy course will be offered to extremely underachieved students, The principles of developing teaching-and-learning material for special remedy course were obtained from the histo-genetic principle, progressive mathematizing principle, and constructivism.

제 7차 수학과 교육과정의 초등학교 현장적용에서 나타나는 문제점 및 개선방향 (Difficulties and Issues in Applying the 7th Mathematics Curriculum to Elementary School Classrooms)

  • This paper is to make strides toward an enriched understanding of the difficulties and issues raised by applying the 7th mathematics curriculum to elementary school classrooms. A general overview of the curriculum is presented in line with teaching and learning methods emphasized in the curriculum. Four classroom episodes are presented in brief in order to diagnose the problems in situating the curriculum in elementary mathematics classrooms. These episodes deal with lessons emphasizing activity rather than its associated concepts or principles, overusing multimedia data, pursuing play rather than its associated thinking, and distributing various individual worksheets in the name of differentiated instructional methods. In addition to the episodes, interview data with elementary school teachers also are presented as needed. This paper discusses two aspects of activating the curriculum into elementary mathematics classrooms. One deals with the issues of the curriculum and textbooks themselves, and the other covers those of research trends on mathematics education and teaching practices. This paper finally emphasizes a collaborative working relation among classroom teachers, mathematics educators, and policy makers with their own places and roles.

제7차 중학교 기술.가정 교육과정 상황과 투입 평가 -가정영역을 중심으로- (Context and Input Evaluation of the 7th Technology.Home Economics Curriculum in the Middle Schools focusing on Home Economics)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 제7차 가정 교육과정에 대해 CIPP모형을 적용한 상황과 투입을 평가하여 차기 가정과 교육과정의 발전에 기여하는데 있다. 본 연구는 경상남도에 소재한 중학교 가운데임의 표집한 250 개교에서 제7차 교육과정 기술 가정교과의 가정 영역을 담당하고 있는 교사를 대상으로 설문지를 발송한 후, 응답 수집된 109명의 설문지를 최종 분석 자료로 사용하여 이루어졌다. 자료에 대해서는 SPSS 10.0 for Windows 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도, 비율, 평균, 표준편차를 산출하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상황 평가(교육 상황 평가)로 보면 가정 교육과정의 교육목표와 성격에 대한 요구 조사에서 '진로탐색'에 대한 요구도가 높게 나타나고, '가정생활에 대한 이해를 높임'에 대한 요구도는 낮게 나타났다. 담당 교사의 자신감도 부족하지만, 교과에 대한 학생의 흥미와 관심도 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째. 투입 평가(교육 계획 평가)로 보면 기술 가정 교육과정의 가정 영역에 대한 적절성에서 시간 배당, 내용 수준, 내용 분량에 대해 적절하지 못하다고 여기는 것으로 나타났으며 학교 수준에서 기술 가정 교육과정 구성과 교사의 수업지도안도 충실하게 이루어지지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 조사 항목 중에서 평가에 대한 학교 수준 계획 수립이 상대적으로 충실한 것으로 나타났고, 이에 비하여 교과 협의는 충실하게 이루어지지 않아 다양한 내용들을 제대로 협의하지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

제7차 초등학교 교육과정에 제시된 보건교육 내용 분석 (An Analysis on the Health Education Content Suggested in the 7th Curriculum of Elementary School Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide the necessary fundamental data in composing a systematic text content of the public health by analyzing each text, domain, and teaching contents suggested in the textbooks as well as teachers' guides of the 7th elementary school education curriculum, while the study subjects were as follows. 1. The health education content suggested in the 7th physical education curriculum were analyzed and examined. 2. The health teaching content of each textbook in the 7th elementary school curriculum was to be analyzed and examined. In order to resolve the above research issues, the physical, spiritual, and social domain along with the (1) Proper living habit, (2) Health and nutrition, (3) Sex education, (4) Prevention of the sense-organic diseases, (5) Cleanliness of food, (6) Oral hygiene, (7) Individual health and public health, (8) Safety in living, (9) Abuse and usage of medication, educational content suggested in the 7tand (10) Environment pollution focused around the health of the elementary school education curriculum was analyzed and its outcome was as below First, compared with the 6th elementary school education curriculum, the health content suggested in the 7th elementary school education curriculum was decreased. Second, although each grade's teaching content of the health domain in the physical education was considered in its structure following after the according systems, they were preponderant in partial subjects such as the safety in living, nutrition, proper living habit, sport, and health in sport. oo. Third, the health education content was organized in 4 units such as the physical growth and development, prevention of diseases, safe living, and leisure living(leisure, spiritual health, and etc.) for the 3rd and 4th grade. Then, as for 5th and 6th grade, it was organized in 3 units such as the understanding the human body, prevention of disease, and leisure and safe living. Fourth, in the physical educational health domain, a strong point was constructed within the physical, spiritual, and social areas of the elementary school physical education. Fifth, the number of the public health education contents directly related with the health education was 43 as with 25 indirect contents. Sixth, each grade's domain unit structure of the public health content was heavy upon the physical and social area throughout every grade while in opposite, the spiritual domain' s unit structure was weak. In according to each grade, the physical domain was stressed in 4, 5, and 6 grades while the social domain was stressed in 1, 5, and 6 grades.

  • This study investigates the results of planning high school facility in accordance with the scope of the 7th educational curriculum by employing user satisfaction methodology. A high school in On-Yang, built recently to fulfill the objective of the curriculum was investigated in detail. Structured interview survey on both students and teachers were done while observation of the entire facility was carried out at the same time. Based on analysis of the interview and the observation, questions were developed, and subsequently questionnaire surveys, focused on how satisfied the students were regarding the school facility and what improvements could be made, were completed. The findings suggest that the degree of variation in planning class room should be employed considerably, as well as the efficiency of route among the facility blocks. Aspects of the other planning factors such as storey height, location of doors and windows, and equipments regarding the purpose of class room are additionally discussed.

교육과정에 따른 중등 수학과 교과서에서 공학 도구 활용의 변화 분석 (The Analysis on Utilization Trend of the Technology in Secondary Mathematics Textbooks Based on the $6^{th}$, $7^{th}$ and 2007 Revised Curriculum in Korea)

  • 본고는 제6차, 제7차 및 2007 개정 교육과정의 중등 수학 교과서 180권에 나타난 공학 도구의 활용 현황을 내용 영역, 활용된 공학 도구 종류, 활용 방식의 관점에서 분석하고 시사점을 찾고자 한 것이다. 분석 결과 제6차 교과서에서는 주로 대수 및 해석 영역에서 계산기나 프로그래밍 언어와 같은 간단한 공학 도구의 기능 소개 및 보조 도구형태로 활용되었고, 그 빈도수가 작았음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 제7차와 2007 개정 교육과정에 들어오면서 대수, 해석, 기하 및 통계 내용 영역에서 비교적 고르게 다양한 공학 도구가 사용되었음을 알 수 있었다. 특히 제7차에서는 인터넷의 활용이 두드러지게 증가하였다가 2007 개정 교과서에서는 많지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 제6차에서는 의도된 탐구 유형의 활용 장면이 거의 없었지만, 제7차 및 2007 개정 교과서에서는 그와 같은 활용 장면이 증가하고 있었음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 학생중심의 탐구 학습 유형의 활용 장면은 매우 적어 앞으로 늘릴 필요가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • The purpose of this study is to describe the planning and applied safety facility layout for a technology laboratory in a middle school. A technological teaching facility has its essential purpose in meeting students' needs and achieving educational objectives efficiently and effectively. Practice-related appliances were selected through investigation of the current middle school laboratory, and analysis of the technology textbooks of the 7th curriculum. Laboratory layout was achieved with consideration of the teacher's and students need of safety and close proximity to laboratory facilities and equipment. Our recommendation takes the SLP survey results into consideration. The results of this study are as follows: The following floor plan is recommended. The facility layout will insure that students are able to work safely, in full view of academic instructors. Students will have easy access to all equipment due to the efficient floor plan and logical sequencing of equipment.

Issues Concerning the Curriculum Revision Process and Mathematics Curriculum in Korea

  • The purpose of this paper is to diagnose the problems of the revision process of the curriculum, and identify the issues in relation to the 7th mathematics curriculum. From the review on the curriculum revision process in Korea, three issues were identified; timing and scale of curriculum revision, research and curriculum revision, and the relationship between the revision of the overall curriculum and that of a subject curriculum. Regarding the mathematics curriculum, the three issues were raised for further discussion; lack of philosophy behind the mathematics curriculum, optimization of mathematics educational content, and differentiated curricula for students of different abilities.
