This experiment was performed to clarify the effects of /sup 60/Co gamma irradiation on secretory function, amylase activity and contents of nucleic acids of parotid gland in rat. Experimental animals were divided into 6th hours, 3rd, 7th, 14th and 28th days after irradiation and control. The experimental animals are singly irradiated with 20Gy (2,000rad) through protective lead block. Secretory function of parotid gland was evaluted by uptake and clearance of /sup 99m/TcO₄. /sup 99m/TcO₄. 0.2μ ci/gm, was injected into peritonium in uptake groups. Rats were sacrified with cervical dislocation after 30 minutes and gland was excised. In the clearance group. pilocarpine nitrate (8㎎/㎏) was intraperitoneally injected at 30 minutes after /sup 99m/TcO₄ injection and rats were sacrified 30 minutes after pilocarpine injection. Radioactivity of excised parotid gland was measured by using of gamma counter and stimulation-secretion coefficients, uptake radioactivity divided by clearance radioactivity, was calculated. Amylase activity and contents of DNA and RNA were determined by spectrophotometry. The results obtained were as follows: 1. In the uptake test, the radioactivity of /sup 99m/TcO₄ per unit weight increase in experimental group except 6th hours group, compared with control groups and showed a peak at 3rd days after irradiation. 2. In the clearance test, the radioactivity of /sup 99m/cO₄per unit weight rose to a peak at 3rd days after irradiation and gradually recovered thereafter. 3. Stimulation-secretion coefficient of parotid gland decreased at 6th hours, 3rd and 7th days after irradiation, and gradually increased. 4. Amylase activity of parotid gland decreased in 3rd and 7th days group, and especially lowest in 3rd days after irradiation. 5. The contents of DNA showed no definite difference in all the experimental groups, but RNA was seemed to decrease with time after irradiation.

The purpose of this study was to understand on management and problems in the instruction of the subject of Technology and Home Economics, and to suggest the effective implementation schemes under 7th national curriculum guideline. The major results of this study were as follows. First, the teachers perceived the first reason why the subject of Technology and Home economics is being more unpopular is because the subject becomes not to include in the subjects of the national examinations for the Universities. Second. the teachers regarded the main problem in the present instruction of the subject of Technology and Home economics under 7th curriculum as the incorporation of the subject between Technology and Home economics, namely, no relation and organization with two majors. Third, which the teachers regarded as important tasks for effective management of the subject of Technology and Home economics were to lesser the extra charges except instruction related work of the teachers, and to increase the supply of the teachers itself.

It has been an important task that the decreased quantities of science lessons must blend with the 7th science curriculum. This study analysed the 6th and 7th science curriculum contents, and found the perspective and the problems in relation to the decreased lessons in the 7th science curriculum. The results found in the analysis of the science content system in the curriculum are as follows: first, the new science themes in the 7th content system were those appeared in the sub-themes in the 6th curriculum, so substantially scientific concepts didn't increase in the 7th. Second, the number of the terms which restricts the conceptual and contextual region of the major science themes considerably increased in the 7th curriculum. Third, Surface Lesson Quantities(SLQ), which were defined as the counted lesson number considering the quantities of science themes and the lesson decreasing rate 30% of the whole school curriculum, were inferred as 38.5% of the 6th lesson quantities. And the results found in the analysis of the sub-themes inferred from the sentences describing the science themes in each grade are as follows: Essential Lesson Quantities (ELQ), which were defined based on the sub-themes, were more than SLQ in almost themes. But, in case of the themes, 'weather' and 'ground', SLQ were much more than ELQ. The results of this study shows that it will not easy to solve the task, the decreasing lessons and phenomena-centered approach in constructing the science teaching content according to the 7th science curriculum.
The purpose of this study is to understand and compare the characteristics of the content organization system of three Environment textbooks currently used, and to examine its connectivity with the teaching & teaming methods included in the Environment subject part of the 7th Korean National Curriculum. For the analysis three Environment textbooks for middle school and their teacher's guide books by three companies. published(A, B, and C) The result of the taxonomic analysis showed that three Environment books had different steps to get to the lesson class unit in the way that A of six steps, B of five steps and C of seven steps. The amount of main text was different In the domains of'Human and Environment','Environmental Problems and its Counter-plan'and'Environmental Conservation'of three textbooks each. All of three textbooks had the biggest percentage in sub-domains of'Living Environment to Keep'and'Global Environmental Problem'in 'Environmental Problems and its Counter-plan'domain. Considering teaching & loaming methods all of three textbooks contained many activities as 55 in A, 66 in H and 91 in C. Among 9 teaching 8E teaming methods and others listed in the Environment subject part of the 7th Korean National Curriculum, the investigation method is most frequently used in all of three textbooks. The drama, the paly and the case study were used rarely as teaching & teaming methods in activities In the consideration of the content amount regarding academic fields, it was revealed that three textbooks overemphasized the aspect of natural sciences comparing the aspect of human & social sciences aspect as a whole. Generally the appendix section of all three textbooks were well organized to support the teaching and teaming activities in main text.

The purpose of this study was to improve the refuge safety area in the high-rise building type. Each simulation was conducted to evaluate the performance of three types in improving the refuge safety area. Targeting the first 63 floors (no refuge safety area), secondly, to target up to the $30^{th}$ floor (refuge safety area on the $30^{th}$ floor, $47^{th}$ floor) specified in domestic laws, and finally, the $20^{th}$ floor (evacuation safety area on the $20^{th}$ floor, $42^{th}$ floor) were considered as targets. Through this analysis, the following results were obtained : The floor for the refuge safety area through simulations showed that the evacuation time is low. It is necessary to improve the floor for the refuge safety area by using the characteristics of the domestic fire fighting vehicle. The first floor for the refuge safety area from the ground floor differs according to the distance and height of the building floor. However, in the case of a business facility it is 15F, and in the case of apartment housing, it is 20F.
Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the factors influencing sleep among Korea adolescents. Methods: This was a secondary data analysis of the 7th-8th National Health and Nutrition Survey 2016-2020. Participants were 1,984 people age 12-18. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, χ2 test, and complex sample multiple logistic regression analysis. Results: The risk of sleeping more than 10 hours was 2.50 times higher in normal subjects, than subjects underweight in body weight perception (95% CI= 1.29-4.81). The risk of sleeping more than 10 hours was 2.10 times higher in overweight subjects, than subjects underweight in body weight perception (95% CI= 1.14-3.87). The risk of sleeping less than 8 hours was 1.36 times higher in subjects high in stress status, than subjects low in stress status (95% CI= 1.05-1.75). The risk of sleeping more than 10 hours was 1.99 times higher in subjects who had not eaten, than subjects who had been eating breakfast (95% CI= 1.11-3.55). Conclusion: Thus, it is necessary to intensify sleep management required through proper health behavior as well as the mental health management of adolescents and improvement in eating behavior.

A tick survey was conducted to determine the relative abundance and distribution of ticks associated with selected mammals in the Republic of Korea (ROK) during 2008-2009. A total of 918 ticks were collected from 76 mammals (6 families, 9 species) captured at 6 provinces and 3 Metropolitan Cities in ROK. Haemaphysalis longicornis (54.4%) was the most frequently collected tick, followed by Haemaphysalis flava (28.5%), Ixodes nipponensis (7.6%), Ixodes pomerantzevi (4.8%), Ixodes persulcatus (4.6%), and Haemaphysalis japonica (0.1%). Adults (57.0%) and nymphs (28.7%) of Ixodes and Haemaphysalis spp. were collected most frequently from medium or large mammals in this survey, while few larvae (14.3%) were collected. Hydropotes inermis was the most frequently captured mammal (52.6%), with a 16.4 tick index and 5 of 6 species of ticks collected during this survey. H. longicornis (69.7%) was the predominant tick collected from H. inermis, followed by H. flava (22.2%), I. persulcatus (6.1%), I. nipponensis (1.8%), and H. japonica (0.2%).

The recurrent neural network (RNN) algorithm has been widely used in water-related research areas, such as water level predictions and water quality predictions, due to its excellent time series learning capabilities. However, studies on water quality predictions using RNN algorithms are limited because of the scarcity of water quality data. Therefore, most previous studies related to water quality predictions were based on monthly predictions. In this study, the quality of the water in a reservoir in Nonsan, Chungcheongnam-do Republic of Korea was predicted using the RNN-LSTM algorithm. The study was conducted after constructing data that could then be, linearly interpolated as daily data. In this study, we attempt to predict the water quality on the 7th, 15th, 30th, 45th and 60th days instead of making daily predictions of water quality factors. For daily predictions, linear interpolated daily water quality data and daily weather data (rainfall, average temperature, and average wind speed) were used. The results of predicting water quality concentrations (chemical oxygen demand [COD], dissolved oxygen [DO], suspended solid [SS], total nitrogen [T-N], total phosphorus [TP]) through the LSTM algorithm indicated that the predictive value was high on the 7th and 15th days. In the 30th day predictions, the COD and DO items showed R2 that exceeded 0.6 at all points, whereas the SS, T-N, and T-P items showed differences depending on the factor being assessed. In the 45th day predictions, it was found that the accuracy of all water quality predictions except for the DO item was sharply lowered.
"Classified Assemblage of Medical Prescriptions(醫方類聚)" is a valuable material which can explain about historical records of East Asian medicine till 15th century. We can also konw what were regarded as important idea by contemporary doctors of Korean in 'Chosun' dynasty. And, Epilepsy is the one of the olddest diseases with a humankind history for a long time. All the concetps of disease including epilepsy in East Asia has been developed and specilized. So, we can find out some valuable facts from Epilepsy section in "Classified Assemblage of Medical Prescriptions". First, 'Epilepsy' was mixed with 'Mad', 'Spasm' before 7th century but after than, it had been divided into in detail. Since 14th century, we can find out that it was separated with 'Spasm' completely. In conclusion, 'Epilepsy' concept in "Classified Assemblage of Medical Prescriptions" at 15th century is similar with mordern 'Epilepsy' concept. Second, We can find out that 'Epilepsy disease' was divided into 'Five epilepsy' before 7th century, and divided into 'external cause', 'internal cause', 'external & internal cause' in 12th century. And, it also was divided into 'yin' or 'yang' epilepsy. So, 'Epilepsy' concept in " Classified Assemblage of Medical Prescriptions" at 15th century can be divided into 'yin' or 'yang' generally, and also it is similar with 'Acute and slow shock'. Especially, 'yinyang' of epilepsy is related to organs & bouls, depth & shallow, interior & exterior, not cold & heat definitely. From now on, the researches about how it had been understood in East Asia can help to find out modern significance of Korean medicine. and, it would be helpful for comprehensive study about "Classified Assemblage of Medical Prescriptions" from these researches in each section.

The author has sought to determine the time and the sequence of permanent teeth eruption in Korean children. The study group consisted of 15,671 healthy children (male 8,015 ; female 7,656) aged 5-13 years old who lived in Seoul or Cheongju. The results were as follows : 1. The eruption times of permanent teeth were 0.45 years earlier in females than in males. 2. The ages corresponding to $ER_{50}$ of permanent teeth were as follows : In Maxilla 1) central incisor was 7.37 yrs 2) lateral incisor was 8.50 yrs 3) canine was 10.83 yrs 4) 1st premolar was 10.30 yrs 5) 2nd premolar was 11.09 yrs 6) 1st molar was 6.49 yrs 7) 2nd molar was 12.79 yrs In Mandible 1) central incisor was 6.40 yrs 2) lateral incisor was 7.41 yrs 3) canine was 10.18 yrs 4) 1st premolar was 10.26 yrs 5) 2nd premolar was 11.15 yrs 6) 1st molar was 6.32 yrs 7) 2nd molar was 12.05 yrs 3. There is no significant difference between left and right arch in the eruption time and sequence. 6. Generally, the ages of permanent teeth eruption tended to be earlier than those of Dr. Cha's data from 1963.
