The remote sensing technique using SAR data have many advantages when applied to the disaster site due to its wide coverage and all-weather acquisition availability. Although a single-pol (polarimetric) SAR image cannot represent the land surface better than a quad-pol SAR image can, single-pol SAR data are worth using for disaster-induced change detection. In this paper, an automatic change detection method based on a mixture of GGDs (generalized Gaussian distribution) is proposed, and usability of the textural features and intensity is evaluated by using the proposed method. Three ALOS/PALSAR images were used in the experiments, and the study site was Norita City, which was affected by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake. The experiment results showed that the proposed automatic change detection method is practical for disaster sites where the large areas change. The intensity information is useful for detecting disaster-induced changes with a 68.3% g-mean, but the texture information is not. The autocorrelation and correlation show the interesting implication that they tend not to extract agricultural areas in the change detection map. Therefore, the final tsunami-induced change map is produced by the combination of three maps: one is derived from the intensity information and used as an initial map, and the others are derived from the textural information and used as auxiliary data.
Very high resolution (VHR) satellite imagery provide valuable information on urban change monitoring due to multi-temporal observation over large areas. Recently, there has been increased interest in the urban change detection technique using VHR Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging system, because it can take images regardless of solar illumination and weather condition. In this paper, we proposed a texture-based urban change detection method using the VHR SAR texture features generated from Gray-Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM). In order to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed method, the result was compared, visually and quantitatively, with the result of Non-Coherent Change Detection (NCCD) which is widely used for the change detection of VHR SAR image. The experimental results showed the greater detection accuracy and the visually satisfactory result compared with the NCCD method. In conclusion, the proposed method has shown a great potential for the extraction of urban change information from VHR SAR imagery.
The aim of this study was to investigate the texture change of cooked rice within a short time after cooking. Using four instant rice brands, the texture change within 30 min after cooking was measured by the texture profile analysis (TPA) method for hardness, adhesiveness, cohesiveness, chewiness, and springiness with different compression ratios (30, 70%) and cross-head speeds (0.5, 1.0 mm/s). In the case of cohesiveness, adhesiveness, and chewiness, there were significant differences in the rice textures at 20 to 30 min after cooking compared to that in the sample immediately after cooking. In particular, adhesiveness showed significant differences at 10 min after cooking. However, there were little significant differences within 30 min for springiness. In conclusion, when measuring cooked rice texture, it is desirable to measure it, if possible, within 10 to 20 min after cooking.
The change of PH, texture, swelling$.$power and protein, fat, calorie composition at cooking rice boiling with various cereal were summarized as follows : 1. The change in pH resulting from the addition of various cereal were much more pronounced in boiling rice with cereal than boiling rice. 2. The volume of boiling rice with cereal was higher that the addition of various cereal. 3. The evaluation of the texture of boiling rice with cereal was the most that rice 70%, barly, bean, red-bean each 10% composition.

Asymmetric rolling, where circumferential velocities of the upper and lower rolls differ, can be one method to change texture of magnesium alloy sheet by introducing shear deformation throughout the thickness of a sheet. In this study, the texture, microstructure and mechanical properties of AZ31 Mg sheets has been investigated during the symmetrical rolling procedure and the asymmetric rolling procedures of different roll speeds with different roll diameters. Texture of Mg alloy sheets were evaluated by using X-ray diffraction and ODFs were calculated using ADC method. The major texture of rolled specimens can be expressed by ND//(0001) fiber texture. The major fiber texture changed according to the rolling processes and such a slight difference of texture changes the formability of sheets. The mechanical properties were enhanced during asymmetrical rolling.
The shape memory effect results from the martensite transfomation of each individual grain. Thus it is necessary to study the texture and its variation. In this study the change of texture during thermal cycling and it's effect on shape memory ability are investigated. The major component of the rolling texture in the parent phase is identified (001) [110], and minor components are (112) [110], (111) [112], {hkl}<100> fiber texture is developed at $45^{\circ}$ from rolling direction. In the case of martensite phase, it is estimated that the major component is (011) [100] and the minor components are (105) [501], (010) [101] and (100) [001]. According to thermal cycling. severity of texture, especially (001) [110] component in parent phase and (011) [100] component in martensite phase are increased. The shape memory ability is increased with increase of thermal cycles and also increased as the direction of specimen approach to $45^{\circ}$ from rolling direction. After first thermal cycling the temperature of transformation can be define clearly and Ms and As are raised by thermal cycling.

Texture synthesis technology has the advantages of repairing texture and structure at the same time. However, during the filling process, the size of the patch is fixed, and the content of the filling is not fully considered. In order to be able to adaptively change the patch size, we used the exemplar-based inpainting technique as the test algorithm, considering the image structure and texture, calculated the image structure patch size and texture patch size, and comprehensively determined the image patch size. This can adaptively change the patch size according to the filling content. In addition, we use multi-layer images to calculate the priority, so that the order of image repair was more stable. The proposed repair algorithm is compared with other image repair algorithms. The experimental results showed that the proposed adaptive image repair algorithm can better repair the texture and structure of the image, which proved the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
Namul cooked with the standard recipe was examined by research of microbiological test for three months and sensory evaluation of frozen namul after reheating. When the namul was freezed storage, in the microbiological test namul began to change on the 40th day, but there was no problem about stability of storage until 3 months. The overall qualities of taste, flavor, color and texture were examined by sensory evaluation of frozen namul after reheating. The pH was seemed to change slowly, its color was changed on the 20th day from the beginning of storage. Radish root represented substantial difference in texture and overall quality on the 20th day. The off-flavor of immature pumpkin stated on the 25th day. Later 10days nettle tree mushroom began to be changed in its taste, texture, overall quality and appearance, then on the 25th day it was seemed to have low preference. But oak mushroom kept its quality good for 25 days. Oyster mushroom was changed in color, appearance and overall quality on the 20th day. Bracken had low preference in taste, texture and moisture on the 25th day. The color of spinach was changed on the 15th day, and its taste on the 20th day. Soybean sprout was changed in taste, texture and overall quality on the 15th day, and overall quality marked low preference on the 25th day Root of bell flower was changed on the 25th day(p<0.05).
Soil moisture content is generally accepted as an important factor to understand the process of crop growth and is the basis of earth system models for analysis and prediction of the crop condition. To continuously monitor soil moisture changes at kilometer scale, it is demanded to create high resolution data from the current, several tens of kilometers. In this paper we described a downscaling method for Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer 2 (AMSR2) Soil Moisture Content (SMC) from 10 km to 30 m resolution using a soil texture and field measurements that have a high correlation with the SMC. As a result, the soil moisture variations of both data (before and after downscaling) were identical, and the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of SMC exhibited the low values. Also, time series analyses showed that three kinds of SMC data (field measurement, original AMSR2, and downscaled AMSR2) had very similar temporal variations. Our method can be applied to downscaling of other soil variables and can contribute to monitoring small-scale changes of soil moisture by providing high resolution data.
The works of texture electron diffraction patterns for crystal structure analysis are written in Russian or introduced briefly in books written in English, which makes it difficult to be understood. In addition to working out the equations, vector theory corrects some errors included in the established formulas for texture electron diffraction patterns.
