지질 답사 보고서에 나타난 고등학생들의 내러티브 특성: 내러티브적 사고와 학업 성취도의 관계 (Narrative Characteristics in High School Students' Geological Field Trip Reports: the Relationship Between the Narrative Mode of Thought and the Academic Achievement)

  • 이 연구는 고등학생들의 지질 답사 보고서에 나타난 내러티브 텍스트와 Bruner가 제시한 두 가지 사고 양식 - 패러다임적 사고와 내러티브적 사고 그리고 학업 성취도가 어떻게 관련되는 지 살펴보고자 했다. 연구의 주요 목표는 특정한 상황에서 나타난 내러티브 텍스트의 사용여부로 학생들의 내러티브적 사고 경향을 구별하고, 우세한 사고 경향에 따라 인지적 성취 결과에 차이가 나는지 분석하는 것이다. 고등학교 2학년 학생 145명의 지질 답사 보고서의 텍스트 분석과 함께 답사지에 대한 회상 검사, 학업 성취도, 면담을 통하여 양적, 질적 연구를 수행했다. 텍스트 분석 결과, 학생들의 보고서에는 설명적, 논증적 텍스트와 함께 내러티브 텍스트가 상당 수 발견되었는데 이는 야외 답사지에서 학생들이 느끼는 심리적 상황과 지구과학 학습 및 현행 교육과정의 특징과 관련이 있는 것으로 추측된다. 내러티브 텍스트로 보고서의 내용을 재구성한 학생들은 그렇지 않은 학생들에 비하여 3개월 후에 실시한 회상 검사에서 높은 점수를 받았으나, 지구과학 I의 학업 성취도에서는 여학생들의 경우에만 더 높은 성취도가 나타났다. 내러티브 텍스트의 사용 여부로 내러티브적 사고와 패러다임적 사고 경향을 판단할 수 있는지 학생들과의 면담을 병행하여 조사한 결과, 내러티브 텍스트 사용과 사고 경향이 일치하지 않는 학생의 사례가 나타났다. 학습 내용에 따라 내러티브적 사고와 패러다임적 사고를 유연하게 사용할 수 있는 학생은 학습에 성공적이며 학업 성취도에서 좋은 결과를 나타내는 것으로 조사되었다.

A basic study on the historical description for the cityscape identity ; The image of cheongju in the archaic texts of geography

  • It has been recognized that the cityscate identity is a very important factor in a modern city. It is necessary to have a variable view to urban comunities for understanding the cityscape identity. We have investigated the contents of archaic texts such as the geography for tracing a cityscape identity to its origin in a city. Because it has been written about politics, economics and culture of a specific area in the geography based on deep interest to the city, we can look into the early image of the cityscape closely after searching of archaic texts. It is also significant to stdy with archaic texts of geography since these studies have a correlatio to the understand of an area and the keeping of historical conscious which are fundamental of cityscape identity. We have studieds on the area of Cheongju from the middle of Chosun dynasty to the end of this kingdom, since that many geographies were described those days. It was selected "Go-Reo-Sa" and "Se-Jong-Sil-Lok" Geography, "Sin-Jeung-Dong-Guk-Y대-Ji-Seung-Lam" "Dae-Dong-Ji-Ji" "Dong-Guk- Yeo-Ji-Ji", "Jeug-Bo-Mun-Heon-Bi-Go Yeo-Ji-Go", and "Taek-Li-Ji", as archaic texts of geography because these texts described in detail about city and gave a clue to speculate an image of city. The major results are as follows; 1) It was described about the cityscape in those archaic texts are metaphysical image, existing and usable elements of cityscape, lost resources of cityscape. 2) The metaphysical images are neither objective nor consistent in the each archaic texts. But the metaphysical image of old city suggests good insight for the application to the modern city image. 3) It is necessary to the careful onsideration about the existing elements. 4) There are variable programs about the lost resources of the cityscape, in accordance with the possibility of the restoraton. 5) The physical and visible factors and non-physical and invisible factors are equally important elements of the cityscape identity. Our research suggests that it is necessary to understand in detail how those factors of cityscape identity have changed with the changes of the times, and how those factors affect the modern cityscape identity.

러시아어와 폴란드어 문학텍스트 내 생략의 화용적 분석 - 므로제크의 "남쪽으로의 도주"를 중심으로 - (A Pragmatic Approach to Ellipsis in Russian and Polish Colloquial and Informal Texts of the Novel "Exit to the South")

  • The paper pragmatically analyzes ellipsis in Russian and Polish colloquial and informal texts. The famous Polish writer Sławomir $Mro{\dot{z}}ek^{\prime}s$ "Exit to the South", written in Polish and Russian is used as a material for the analysis. Russian and Polish ellipsis in colloquial and informal texts have in common that the givenness and subjecthood of the elliptical co-referent play a crucial role. However, the ellipsis in two languages also has differences in many ways. Above all, in the Polish texts of colloquial and informal style, a theme is likely to be elliptical and the coreferential relation reaches to an extra-sentential antecedent, while the ellipsis in analysed Russian texts in most cases requires coordinate, subordinate or relative clauses, and the elliptical co-referent tends to have an intra-sentential antecedent. The ellipsis of the theme-subject is unmarked in Polish, where every verbal form has an ending denoting person. Unlike formal style which often allows explicit noun subject, Polish text of colloquial and informal style prefer null form of the subject in most cases. If Polish sentences have explicit theme-subjects, they disambiguate intervening and main themes, and indicate the contrast, the focus, the introduction of new narratives or the change of speaker's point of view. Sometimes direct speeches and deictic pronouns also need explicit theme-subjects in Polish sentences. On the other hand, the ellipsis of the theme-subject is marked in Russian even in colloquial and informal texts. The theme-subject can be deleted in Russian colloquial and informal texts, if the subject is a form of the first or the second person, or if the aspect and the tense of the antecedent sentence's verb are the same as those of the given sentence's verb and both the antecedent and the coreferential word have the nominative case.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 문학 텍스트를 학습한 머신 러닝 언어 모델을 구현하는데 있다. 문학 텍스트는 일상 대화문처럼 질문에 대한 답변이 분명하게 구분되지 않을 때가 많고 대명사와 비유적 표현, 지문, 독백 등으로 다양하게 구성되어 있다는 특징이 있다. 이런 점들이 알고리즘의 학습을 용이하지 않게 하여 문학 텍스트를 활용하는 기계 학습의 필요성을 저해시킨다. 문학 텍스트를 학습한 알고리즘이 일반 문장을 학습한 알고리즘에 비해 좀 더 인간 친화적인 상호작용을 보일 가능성이 높다. 본 논문은 '문학 텍스트를 학습한 머신 러닝 언어 모델 구현'에 관한 연구로서, 대화형 기계 학습에 문학 텍스트를 활용하는 연구에서 필수적으로 선행되어야 할 세 가지 텍스트 보정 작업을 제안한다: 대명사 처리, 대화쌍 늘리기, 데이터 증폭 등에 대한 내용으로 기계 학습이 용이하고 그 효과도 높다고 판단됩니다. 인공지능을 위한 학습용 데이터는 그 의미가 명료해야 기계 학습이 용이하고 그 효과도 높게 나타난다. 문학과 같은 특수한 장르의 텍스트를 자연어 처리 연구에 도입하는 것은 새로운 언어 학습 방식의 제안과 함께 머신 러닝의 학습 영역도 확장시켜 줄 것이다.

묵사집산법(默思集算法)과 구일집(九一集)에서의 넓이 (Areas in MukSaJibSanBeob and GuIlJib)

  • In China and Joseon, the measurement of the areas of various plane figures is a very important subject for mathematical officials because it is connected directly with tax problems. Most of mathematical texts in China and Joseon contained Chinese character '田', which means a field for farming, in title name for parts that dealt with problems of areas and treated as areas of plane figures. The form of mathematical texts in Joseon is identical with those in China because mathematicians in Joseon referred to texts in China. Gyeong SeonJing and Hong JeongHa also referred to Chinese texts. But they added their interpretations or investigated new methods for the measurement of areas. In this paper, we investigate the history of the measurement of areas in Joseon, which described in two books MukSaJibSanBeob and GuIlJib, with comparing some mathematical texts in China.

  • This study explores the textual characteristics, more precisely the quantity and diversity of nouns, of Japanese prime ministers' Diet addresses. In the field of stylistics, textual characteristics independent of the content have been examined with the aim on detecting the authors, genres, and chronological variations of texts. This study focuses instead on textual characteristics related to the content of texts, namely the quantity and diversity of nouns, because our aim is to analyze texts to better understand two political phenomena: (a) the difference between the two types of Diet addresses delivered by Japanese prime ministers, and (b) the perceived changes made to these addresses by two powerful prime ministers. It is a case study of the microscopic characterization of texts, which has become more and more important with the expansion in the scope of stylistics and the production of a wide variety of new types of texts following the advent of the Web.

  • 이 연구는 형태 분석 정보가 부착된 말뭉치를 구축할 때 합성어를 처리하기 위한 방법론을 제시하고, 그 타당성을 검증해 보는 데 있다. 그동안 합성어 처리를 위해서 합성어 선정 기준을 이용하거나 목록을 이용하는 방법이 이용되었는데, 본고에서는 ${\ulcorner}$표준국어대사전${\lrcorner}$의 합성어 목록을 참조하는 것이 적절한 방법이 될 수 있음을 보이고자 한다. 또한 이 방법을 실제 말뭉치 구축에 활용할 경우, 원문의 띄어쓰기 정보가 합성어 처리에서 중요한 요인이 될 수 있다는 점을 지적하고, 이러한 처리가 가지는 한계와 의의에 대해서도 논의하고자 한다.

A Style-based Approach to Translating Literary Texts from Arabic into English

  • In this paper, a style-based approach to translating literary texts is introduced and used. The aim of the study is to work out a stylistic approach to translating literary texts from Arabic into English. The approach proposed in the current study is a combination of four major stylistic approaches, namely linguistic stylistics, literary stylistics, affective stylistics and cognitive stylistics. It has been shown from data analysis that by adopting a style-based approach that can draw from the four stylistic approaches, translators, as special text readers, can easily derive a better understanding and appreciation of texts, in particular literary texts. Further, it has been shown that stylistics as an approach is objective in terms of drawing evidence from the text to support the argument for the important stylistic features and their functions. However, it loses some of its objectivity and becomes dependent and subjective.

이중언어능력의 조선족 아동과 청소년의 한글, 한자, 한글.한자혼합문 형태의 덩이글 이해에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Comprehension of Texts with Korean Hangul, Chinese Hanja and Hangul.Hanja among Korean-Chinese children and adolescents)

  • This study focused on the comprehension of texts written either in Korean script (Hangul) or Chinese script (Hanja). For this purpose, we measured the reading time and the correct response in text comprehension tasks with 104 Korean-Chinese children who were either 10 or 19 years old. There was a main effect of script : The reading time of Hanja texts was shorter than that of Hangul or Hangul Hanja mixed texts. But the older subjects who spent the same reading time in both Hangul and Hanja texts showed the longer reading time in Hangul Hanja mixed texts revealing the interaction between age and script. The correct response rate on the comprehension task was the highest in Hangul text. The results were discussed in relation to the independent dual language processing systems in Korean-Chinese.

정보적 과학 텍스트의 사회-언어학적 특징과 초등 과학 학습에 미치는 효과 (A Comparison of Socio-linguistic Characteristics and Instructional Influences of Different Types of Informational Science Texts)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare socio-linguistic characteristics and instructional influences of two different types of texts, which were narrative and expository. Socio-linguistic characteristics of two different types of texts were analyzed in their content specialization, linguistic formality, and social-pedagogic relationships. Expository texts showed strong scientific classification, and medium level of linguistic formality, and low level of social-pedagogic relationships. Narrative texts showed different characteristics. The instructional effects were investigated with 91 fifth grade elementary students in three classes. Each class was randomly assigned into three groups: expository text group, narrative text group, control group. The results showed that the science achievement scores of the narrative text group was higher than those of other groups. The affective domain test scores of the expository text group were higher than other groups. The perception of students on informational science text were generally positive both types of texts.
