동화 내용에 대한 교사와 유아의 토의활동이 유아의 문해발달에 미치는 효과 (Effects on Literacy Development of Teacher-Child Discussion about the Contents of Storybooks)

  • This study investigated the effect on children's literacy of teacher-child discussion about the contents of storybooks. The subjects were 10 experimental and 10 control 5-year-old kindergarten children in Cheongju. The experimental design was the Split Plot design. The research instruments used for pre- and post-tests were the Vocabulary Decoding Competence Test(Lee, 1998), Writing Competence Test(Lee & Lee, 1990), Story Comprehension Competence Test(Lee, 1998; Morrow, 1990), and the Emergent Reading Ability Judgements for Favorite Storybooks(Sulzby, 1985). Data were analyzed by ANOVA with repeated measures. Results showed that the teacher-child discussions about the contents of storybooks were effective for improving children's competence in decoding vocabulary, writing, and story comprehension but not for improving emergent reading ability.

부모-아동간 신념의 일치도와 아동의 학업 성취도 및 자기능력지각과의 관계 (Congruence of Parents and Children's Beliefs: Relationships to Academic Achievement and Perceived Competence)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships among the beliefs of parents and children, children's cognitive and emotional behavior based on cognitive and interreactionary approach models. The Subjects were 138 children (68 eight-year-olds and 70 eleven-year-olds) and their parents. Instruments used in this study were the modified Family Belief Interview Schedule(Alessandri & Wozniak, 1987), the Standard Achievement Test, and Harter's Perceived Competence Scale. Data analysis was by Pearson's r product moment correlation, two-way ANOVA, Fisher-Z test and Student-Newman-Keuls post-hoc test. The major findings are as follows: (1) The beliefs of parents and children has a significant influence children's perception of competence. (2) The congruence of parents' and children's beliefs was hightest in "assumed similarity". (3) Mother's positive view of their children and congruence of mother's and father's beliefs were correlated with children's academic achievement. Parents' positive beliefs and congruence of beliefs were also correlated with children's self-perception of competence.

초등학교 학생들의 귀납-연역적 추론 능력과 정신 용량 및 보속 오류와의 관계 (The Relationship between Inductive-Deductive Reasoning Ability and Mental Capacity and Perseveration Error of Elementary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the problem solving strategies of elementary school students and to find out correlations between the functional mental capacity, the perseveration error and the Creature Card Task solving ability. To study this purpose, four categories were selected through pilot test. The sample consisted of 231, the 4th grade students and the 5th grade students in Inchon, Korea and selected 32 students among them. Three instruments were used in this study, Creature Card Task, FIT(Figural Intersection Test) and WCST(Wisconsin Card Sorting Test). Researcher interviewed 32 students about Creature Card Task solving strategies and tests with FIT, WCST. Major findings of the study are as follows: 1. Creature Card Task solving strategies of the selected 4th & 5th grade students were different. Some students solved problems during individual interviews. 2. Creature Card Task solving abilities were significantly correlated with the functional mental capacity and the perseveration error.

학령전 아동의 학교준비도에 대한 가정환경(HOME)과 성격과의 관계 (The Relationship of HOME and Personality with Preschool Children′s School Readiness)

  • This study is to examine the relationship of HOME and personality with Preschool children's school readiness. The subjects were 138 children(4 to 6 year-old) and their mothers in Seoul, Gyunggi-do, and Chungnam. The instruments for this study were Cooperative Preschool Inventory(CPI), The Home Observation for Measurement of the Environment(HOME), and Children's Personality Test. The data were analyfed by Pearson's r, stepwise regression, ANOVA, Scheffe test for the post hoc test, and Cronbach a for the reliability in SPSS PC program. The major findings with the preschool children's school readiness were as follows. 1) That was significant correlations with HOME(language environment and encouragement of independence) and personality(sociability and familiarity). 2) That was explained significantly by sociability, encouragement of independence, language environment, and stimuli for development. 3) That was no sex-difference and was an increase by age. 4) There were significant differences in preschool children's school readiness, HOME, and personality by familial demographic variables.

  • This paper presents new approach to technology pattern recognition of camera back cover and test of soldering. In real-time implementing of pattern recognition camera back cover and test of soldering, the MVB-03 vision board has been used. Image can be captured from standard CCD monochrome camera in resolutions up to 640$\times$480 pixels. Various options re available for color cameras, a synchronous camera reset, and linescan cameras. Image processing os performed using Texas Instruments TMS320C31 digital signal processors. Image display is via a standard composite video monitor and supports non-destructive color overlay. System processing is possible using c30 machine code. Application software can be written in Borland C++ or Visual C++

Development and Application of a Nutrition Education Game for Preschoolers

  • This study was conducted to develop and apply a computer-based multimedia nutrition education program for preschoolers based on the Dick and Carey model of instructional design. The Dick and Carey model included 4 phases: analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The program's instructional goals, objectives, assessment instruments, content, examples, and practice questions with feedback were written in the design phase. To be familiar with the 5 food groups, 'Nutrition exploration' were programmed using Hyperstudio. 'Nutrition exploration' was designed as a five-session, interactive multimedia game, with each session taking about 5 minutes to complete. Nineteen preschoolers, aged 6, volunteered to participate formative evaluation. The effectiveness of the program was examined using a pre-post test design. Participants were recruited by personal contact at the individual preschool education center. The application was carried out during 4 weeks. The results showed that intervention participants significantly increased knowledge between pre-test and post-test. The results support using IMM (interactive multimedia) to disseminate nutrition education to the target population. This research provides the basis for continuing development of computer-based nutrition education materials.

타이치 운동이 류마티스 관절염 환자의 우울 및 자기효능감에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Tai Chi Exercise on the Depression and Self Efficacy of the Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis)

  • Purpose: This study was attempted to verify the effects of Tai Chi exercise on the depression and self efficacy of the patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Method: It employed a non-equivalent control group pre- and post-test design. The research instruments used in this study were depression and self efficacy. Thirty-two patients in the experimental group carried out 50 minutes of Tai Chi exercise for 12 weeks, and 29 patients in the control group did not. Before and after the experiment, both groups were tested for depression and self efficacy. Collected data were processed using the SPSS/WIN 10.0 program analyzing by the frequency, percentage, $X^2$- test, and t-test. Results: Depression significantly decreased in the experimental group. However the improvement in self efficacy of the rheumatoid arthritis patients was not statistically significant but slight enhancement was. Conclusion: Tai Chi exercise is an effective nursing intervention that can be used for rheumatoid arthritis patients.

사회극화놀이에서 교사개입이 유아의 사회극화놀이 수준, 사회적 기술 및 언어능력에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Teacher Intervention in Sociodramatic Play on Social Play Levels, Social Skills and Language Abilities of Young Children)

  • The subjects of this study on the effects of teacher intervention in sociodramatic plays were 54 five-year-old children from 2 public kindergartens in C city. Socioeconomic stasus and, aside from teacher interventions, educational procedures were the same for both the experimental group(28 subjects) and the control (26 subjects) groups in both schools. Instruments were the Social Play Rating Scale(Smilansky & Shefatya, 1990), Social Situations Measure(McGinnis & Goldstein, 1990), and Language Ability Test(Chang, 1981). Procedures included pretest, 14 weeks treatments and post-test. Data were analyzed by t-test. Results indicated significant differences in social play levels between the experimental and control groups, (b) including differences in such general social skills as emotional control and relationships with others. There were also differences in language ability, including such subordinates as language understanding and expressive abilities.

  • GUI 테스트 자동화에 대한 연구들이 많이 진행되고 있다. GUI 테스트 하는 방법에 따라 테스트 자동화(Automated Test)와 회귀테스트(Regression Test)가 있는데, 우리는 회귀테스트로 GUI 테스트를 자동화 하려 한다. GUI 자동화 테스트를 위해 시험자동화프로그램으로 테스트 케이스를 시험절차에 따라 생성하고 Dynamic linking library(이하 DLL)의 공유변수마다 GUI 컨포넌트를 정의하여 점검프로그램의 GUI 컴포넌트를 컨트롤 한다. 점검프로그램에서는 DLL 공유변수를 감시하여 해당 GUI 컴포넌트가 On 상태가 되면 기능이 실행되게 구현하였다. 기존의 연구들과 비교하여 최소한의 소스코드 변경과 특정한 툴에 치우치지 않고 통합되어 작동되는 것이 장점이다.

Cyclic fatigue resistance of M-Pro and RaCe Ni-Ti rotary endodontic instruments in artificial curved canals: a comparative in vitro study

  • Objectives: To compare the flexural cyclic fatigue resistance and the length of the fractured segments (FLs) of recently introduced M-Pro rotary files with that of RaCe rotary files in curved canals and to evaluate the fracture surface by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Materials and Methods: Thirty-six endodontic files with the same tip size and taper (size 25, 0.06 taper) were used. The samples were classified into 2 groups (n = 18): the M-Pro group (M-Pro IMD) and the RaCe group (FKG). A custom-made simulated canal model was fabricated to evaluate the total number of cycles to failure and the FL. SEM was used to examine the fracture surfaces of the fragmented segments. The data were statistically analyzed and comparisons between the 2 groups for normally distributed numerical variables were carried out using the independent Student's t-test. A p value less than 0.05 was considered to indicate statistical significance. Results: The M-Pro group showed significantly higher resistance to flexural cyclic fatigue than the RaCe group (p < 0.05), but there was no significant difference in the FLs between the 2 groups (p ≥ 0.05). Conclusions: Thermal treatment of nickel-titanium instruments can improve the flexural cyclic fatigue resistance of rotary endodontic files, and the M-Pro rotary system seems to be a promising rotary endodontic file.
