고압전동기 모델 코일에서 부분방전 분석 (Analysis of Partial Discharge in High Voltage Motor Model Coils)

  • Five model coils of 6.6 kV motor were manufactured with several defects. These stator coils have artificial defects such as void of groundwall insulation, removal of semi-conductive coating and damage of strand insulation. Epoxy-mica coupler(80 pF) was connected to five model coil terminals. The voltage applied to the coils was 3.81 kV, 4.76 kV, 6.0 kV and 6.6 kV, respectively. Partial discharge(PD) tests performed in the laboratory and shield room. Digital PD detector(PDD) and turbine generator analyzer(TGA) were used to measure PD activity. TGA summarizes each plot with two quantities such as the normalized quantity number(NQN) and the peak PD magnitude(Qm). The PD levels in pC were measured with PDD. PD patterns of model coils were indicated the internal and slot discharges. PD patterns are consistent with the result of measurement using PDD and TGA instruments. AC breakdown test was performed on five model coils in order to confirm the result of PD measurements. All the failures were located in a line-end coil at the exit from the core slot.

  • 본 논문에서는 이동 통신용 단말기에 주로 사용되는 RF-chip inductor의 자동 외관검사를 위한 시스템에 필요한 알고리즘을 제안하였다 제안한 방법은 취득한 영상에 국부적응 이진화 방법, 가산투영 기법을 적용하여 코일 부분과 코어 부분을 분리한다. 분리된 코일부분에 세선화(thinning) 방법, 체인코드(chain-code) 방법, 라벨링(labeling) 방법 등을 적용하여 코일성분을 추출하여 코일의 길이, 연결성, 코일의 turn수 그리고 피치간격에 의한 불균일 검사를 수행하여 소자의 불량 유무를 검사한다. 제안한 방법의 성능을 시험하기 위해 여러 가지 부품에 대한 모의실험을 통해 제안된 알고리즘의 성능을 검증하였다.

  • The research results on the superconducting magnet for whole body MRI are presented. The magnet consists of main coil with 6 solenoid coils, shielding coil with 2 solenoid coils and 6 sets of cryogenic shim coil. The ferromagnetic shim assembly is installed on the inside wall of the room temperature bore for shimming inhomogeneous field components generated due to manufacturing tolerances, installation misalignments and external ferromagnetic materials near the magnet. Also, the magnet is enclosed with the horizontal type cryostat with 80cm room temperature bore to keep the magnet under the operating temperature. The magnetic field distributions within the imaging volume were measured by the NMR field mapping system. Through the test, the central field of magnet was 1.5 Tesla and the field homogeneity of 9.3 ppm has been obtained on 40cm DSV(the diameter of spherical volume) and using this magnet, comparatively good images for human body, fruits and water phantoms have been achieved.

배연용 축류팬의 내열 신뢰성 향상 (Improvement of the Heat Resistance Reliability of an Axial Smoke Exhaust Fan)

  • In this paper, the heat resistance reliability of an axial smoke exhaust fan was investigated. An axial smoke exhaust fan should be capable of operating at $250^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours. The heat resistance reliability was evaluated by the heat resistance reliability test. A B10 life with a 90% confidence level was estimated to be about 48 minute. The failure occurred in the motor due to high temperature. The main failure mechanisms of the motor were melting of bond and insulating paper and burning of insulating materials in the coil. The heat resistance reliability was improved by changing the way to unite the core and the coil and by replacing the insulating paper and the insulating materials of the coil. A B10 life with a 90% confidence level of a modified axial smoke exhaust fan was estimated to be over 120 minute.

과도서지를 이용한 가속열화 시험법에 따른 견인전동기 고정자 코일의 전기적 특성 변화 (Properties of Electrical Performance on Stator Coil of Traction Motor by Accelerated lest using Transient Surge)

  • The winding problems of traction motor are the major determinant of motor's life. The root cause of winding failure is gradual deterioration of the insulation due to thermal, electrical, mechanical and environmental stresses. The aging of the insulation reduces the electrical and mechanical strength of the insulation. At same point, a voltage surge or mechanical shock from a traction motor start will fracture or break down the insulation. To achieve the expected life usually requires extensive laboratory evaluation of the insulation systems and the use of accelerated aging tests. There are several nondestructive test available for checking, the condition of motor insulation, the probable extent of aging, and the rate of which aging is taking place. So the insulation characteristics of stator coil were each analyzed by measurement of dielectric loss(tan$\sigma$), capacitance and partial discharge. The method of diagnosis is able to analyze the insulation condition and evaluate the life of the traction motor.

나선코일튜브내의 강제대류 열전달에 관한 연구 (Study on forced convective heat transfer in helically ceiled tubes)

  • Heat transfer performance are studied for the turbulent flow of water in 3 smooth tube coils having ratios of coil to tube diameter of 16, 21 and 27, and a corrugated-coiled tube having a ratio of coil to tube diameter of 29, for Reynolds numbers from 8000 to 60000 and is also compared with the limited results available to data. The experiments are carried out for the fully developed turbulent flow of water in tube coils under the condition of uniform heat flux. This work is limited 0 tube coils of R/a between 10 and 30. The tube having a ratio of coil to tube diameter of 27 among the 3 smooth tube coils shows the best heat transfer performance. The performance of coiled tube best transfer performance. The performance of coiled tube with a similar curvature ratio is better for a corrugated-coiled tube(R/a=17) than for a smooth coiled tube(R/a=16). An empirical relation which correlates most of the data within $\pm$25% was also developed. Test result shows that the Nusselt number is found to be affected by a secondary flow due to curvature.

고압 배전선로 전력선 통신 신호결합장치 개발 (Development of Signal Coupler for Power Line Communication over Medium Voltage Distribution Line)

  • For broadband high-data-rate power line communication with the allocated frequency bandwidth from 2 to 30 MHz on medium voltage (MV) distribution power lines, a signal coupling unit is developed. The coupling unit is composed of a coupling capacitor for coupling communication signal, a drain coil, and an impedance matching part. The coupling capacitor made of ceramic capacitor is designed for transmission property of better than 1 dB in the frequency range. The drain coil is used for preventing low frequency high voltage from junction of medium voltage power line in case that a coupling capacitor is not working properly any more. Also, using ferrite core, a novel broadband impedance matching transformer is developed. A complete coupling unit with a coupling capacitor, a drain coil, and a matching transformer is housed by polymer for good isolation and distinguishing from high voltage electric facilities. Each is fabricated and its frequency behavior is tested. Finally, complete signal couplers are equipped in a MV PLC test bed and their performance are measured. The measurement shows that the coupling capacitor works excellently.

Computation of the Current Limiting Behavior of BSCCO-2212 High-Temperature Superconducting Tube with Shunt Coils

  • This paper deals with the computation of the current limiting behavior of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) modules for the superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL). The SFCL module consists of a monofilar type BSCCO-2212 tube and a shunt coil made of copper or brass. The shunt coil is connected to the monofilar superconducting tube in parallel. Through analysis of the quench behavior of the monofilar component with shunt coils, it is achieved to drive an equivalent circuit equation from the experimental circuit structure. In order to analyze the quench behavior of the SFCL module, we derived a partial differential equation technique. Inductance of the monofilar component and the impedance of the shunt coil are calculated by Bio-Savart and Ohm's formula, respectively. We computed the quench behavior using the calculated values, and compared the results with experimental results for the quench characteristics of a component. The results of computation and test agreed well each other, and it was concluded that the analytic result could be applied effectively to design of the distribution-level SFCL system.

수직밀폐형 지중 열교환기 형태에 따른 열효율 평가 (Evaluation of Heat Exchange Rate of Different Types of Ground Heat Exchangers)

  • 본 논문에서는 일반 수직밀폐형에서의 U, W, 2U 그리고 코일 타입의 지중 열교환기 형태별 열효율을 평가하기 위한 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 매립지 지반으로 이루어진 인천국제공항 제2여객 터미널이 건설될 부지에 수직밀폐형 지중 열교환기가 설치되었다. 우선 U, W 그리고 2U 형태의 지중 열교환기를 이용한 현장 열응답 실험을 수행하여 지반의 열전도도를 도출한 후 U, W, 2U 그리고 코일형 지중 열교환기를 이용하여 100시간 연속 운전과 5일 동안의 부분 운용 모드로 현장 열성능 실험을 수행하였다. 냉방 가동 조건 하에서 코일형 지중 열교환기 이용시 나머지 타입의 열교환기들보다 약 2배 정도 열교환율이 상승되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 부분 운전 모드시 연속 운전 모드보다 30~40% 열교환율이 상승되는 것으로 나타났다.

수치적 시뮬레이션과 충격 시험을 통한 수직방향 진동절연 완충기 설계 및 성능 평가 (Design and Performance Evaluation of the Vibration Absorber of Vertical Direction Using Numerical Simulation and Shock Test)

  • Vibration/shock affects biggest taking a train subtraction of vehicle and durability decline. Therefore, absorber is used for vibration/shock isolation and various qualities of the material and design are applied to isolation. This paper proposes vibration/shock absorber that applies 'Disc' spring. Through comparison with 'Disc' spring that has nonlinearity and coil spring that is having linearity, see effect that nonlinearity of isolation gets in vibration/shock Isolation. Coil spring and 'Disc' spring are non-linear numerical analysis and simulation through theory for this, get and investigate comparison result through an experiment finally. Expressed and formulated shock through 'Runge-Kutta' method/impact response to nonlinear-vibration-equation of 1 degree of freedom for numerical analysis. Double half sine pulse of excitation used and analyzed result through spectrum response analysis here. Response of disc spring is compared to response of coil spring by changing $h_o/t$ ratio with computer simulation and the usage of disc spring is increased through analysis of effect of design factors. The purpose of this paper is that the shock response of disc spring is calculated through numerical simulation and to design the optimal absorber under the limited condition. And then, the isolation effect was analyzed through the shock test.
