In this study, the amorphous foil filler, thickness of 20 - $20~30\mu\textrm{m}$ was made to develop Cu-7.5wt%Mn-7.5wt%Si insert alloy(melting point temperature : solidus line 1003K, liquidus line 1070K). Liquid phase diffusion bonding of 304 stainless steels (STS304), is carried out successfully by using developed Cu-7.5Mn-7.5Si insert alloy. Bonding conditions are taken from bonding pressure of 5MPa, bonding temperatures from 1073K to 1423K varied within 50K and brazing holding times of 0, 30, 60 and 240 minutes. As the results, the tensile strength in the liquid phase diffusion bonding is a little bit lower than that in the solid phase diffusion bonding. The authors find out that the liquid phase diffusion bonding needs lower bonding pressure than the others. Therefore, the liquid phase diffusion bonding had an excellent brazability in which the bonding process showed the typical mechanism of diffusion bonding. In corresponding, the new developed insert alloy of low melting pointed Cu-7.5Mn-7.5Si makes possible brazing between the STS304.
Austempered ductile cast iron has been well known for their good toughness and strength. Generally these properties were improved by the various heat treatments and alloying elements. In this study, the effects of prior heat treatment history(near ferrite, near pearlite, near martensite) on the toughness and strength of the austempered ductile cast iron were studied experimentally and theoretically. All of the test specimens was austenitized at $900^{\circ}C$ for 1 h and austempered at $300^{\circ}C$, $350^{\circ}C$, $400^{\circ}C$, $450^{\circ}C$, respectively. The prior structure of near martensite in austempered ductile cast iron was not good in term of toughness and strength because the carbon content was apt to high in austenite during ausnitizing. It was found, on the other hand, that the ferrite matrix as prior structure had good combination of toughness and strenght. The best tensile strength and good toughness were obtained at $300^{\circ}C$, austemper in the prior structure of near ferrite, while $400^{\circ}C$ austemper in that of near pearlite and martensite.

High heat-resistant Al-Fe-V-Si and Al-Fe-V-Si-X rapidly solidified powder metallurgy (RS P/M) alloys have been developed under well-controlled high purity argon gas atmosphere. The $Al_{90.49}Fe_{6.45}V_{0.68}Si_{2.38}$ (at. %) RS P/M alloy exhibited high elevated-temperature strength exceeding 300 MPa and good ductility with elongation of 6 % at 573 K. Reduction of $H_2O$ partical pressure in P/M processing atmosphere led to improvement in mechanical properties of the powder-consolidated alloys under elevated-temperature service conditions. Ti addition to the Al-Fe-V-Si conduced to enhancement of the strength at room temperature. The tensile yeild strength and ultimate strenght were 545 MPa and 722 MPa, respectively.
The reinforcement of Inorganic filler silica treated with LBR-MDI In SBR vulcanizates were Investigated. The inorganic filler silica treated with MDI on unmodified surface and that of silica treated by MDI was retreated with LBR. The charateristics of vulcanization, physical properties, surface properites and dynamic properties were investigated after mixing those silica with SBR and unmodified silica with SBR. Rheometric studies of the vulcanization showed that S-series has fast scorch $time(t_{10})$ and an optimum cure $time(t_{90})$ in the SBR compounds. And it was turned out that SBR vulcanizates compounded with LBR treated silica was better than any other componnds in hardness, tensile strenght, 100 300% modula and elongation. We could confirm that urea bonding is formed from IR spectrum. We concluded that L-series shows the best reinforcement effect in SBR vulcanizates.
In this study, the effects of aggregates on the properties of concrete as a study to determine the mechanical properties of high-temperature damaged concrete were examined. The samples to be reviewed are cement paste, mortar, and concrete, and the strength characteristics were reviewed after heating the compression strength and tensile strength properties. The increase in magnetic shrinkage at around 100℃ showed a significant drop in strength in mortar, which does not contain aggregates or has a small diameter, and after 300℃, concrete showed a sharp drop in strength due to the hydration and aggregation of cement.
This study was conducted to investigate the flexural behaviour of sandwich constructions with cement concrete core and polymer concrete facings. Six different cross-sectional shapes using epoxy based polymer concrete facings were investigated. Some of the results from the static tests are given including the load-deflection responses, load-strain relationships, ultimate moment, and mode of failure. From the. results the following conclusions can be made. 1. The various strengths of polymer concrete were very high compared to the strengths for portland cement concrete, while modulus of elasticity assumed an aspect of contrast. 2. The thickness of core and facing exerted a great influence on the deflection and ultimate strenght of polymer concrete sandwich constructions. 3. The variation shape of deflection and strain depend on loading were a very close approximation to the straight line. The ultimate strain of polymer concrete at the end of tensile side were ranged from 625x10-6 to 766x10-6 and these values increased in proportion to the decrease of thickness of core and facings. 4. The ultimate moments of polymer sandwich constructions were 3 to 4 times that of cement concrete constructions which was transformed same section. It should he noted that polymer concrete have an effect on the reinforcement of weak constructions. 5. Further tests are neede to investigate the shear strain of constructions, and thermal expansion, shrinkage and creep of cement and polymer concrete which were composite materials of sandwich constructions.
Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C hybrid metal matrix composites are fabricated by the direct squeeze infiltration method. From the microstructure of Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C composites, uniform distribution of reinforcements and good bondings are found. Optimum processing conditions for preforms and squeeze castings are suggested. Mechanical properties, such as elastic modulus, elongation, 0.2% offset yield strength and ultimate tensile strength are obtained. Through the abrasive were test and wear surface analsis, wear behavior and its mechanism of AC2B aluminum and Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C composites can be characterized under various sliding speed conditions. Tensile strenght elongation of Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C composites are decreased with increasing the addition of carbon fiber. On the contrary, elastic modulus of Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C composites is slightly improved compared with that of the unreinforced matrix alloy. The addition of carbon fiber to al/al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C composites gives rise to improvement of the wear resistance. Specially, carbon chopped fibers play an important role in interfering sticking between the counter material and metal matirix composites. Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C composites are suitable to high speed due to solid lubication of carbon. And wear model of Al/Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$/C composites is suggested by the examination of worn surfaces.
