직냉식 냉장고의 과냉각 저장을 위한 항온 특성 개선 연구 (Improvement of Temperature Constancy of Direct Refrigerator for Supercooled Storage)

  • 0℃로 설정 시 최저온도 -9℃ 최고온도 1℃로 온도편차가 10℃ 발생하는 직냉식 냉장고 내부에 단열재와 전도체를 배치하여 온도편차를 목표온도에서 ±0.3℃ 이내로 유지하는 조건을 이론적으로 계산하였고, 상용 판매되는 직냉식 냉장고에 적용하여 효과를 확인하였다. 항온 특성이 개선된 직냉식 냉장고에 -2℃의 과냉각 상태로 절임배추를 저장할 경우 2℃의 저온저장 대비 유산균과 효모의 증식이 완화되었고, 유산균의 먹이가 되는 환원당도 높게 유지되었다. -2℃ 과냉각으로 절임배추를 저장할 때 발효가 지연되는 효과가 나타났기 때문에, 김치를 저장할 경우에도 발효 지연의 효과가 있을 것으로 판단된다. 상용 직냉식 냉장고를 단열재와 전도체의 추가만으로 경제적으로 항온냉장고로 전환이 가능하기 때문에 산업적인 활용이 기대된다.

X-색도 공간에서 ROI의 전방향 프로젝션과 백색패치의 평행이동에 의한 본질 영상 획득 (Acquisition of Intrinsic Image by Omnidirectional Projection of ROI and Translation of White Patch on the X-chromaticity Space)

  • 흑체의 온도 변화에 대한 영상의 색차를 줄이는 본질 영상은 단일 불변 방향을 검출하고 백색 장면 조명체를 기반으로 하기 때문에 실영상에 존재하는 다수의 불변 방향과 유색 장면 조명체에 취약하다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 ${\chi}$-색도 공간에서 ROI의 전방향프로젝션과 백색패치의 평행이동을 통해 불변 방향을 검출하는 본질 영상 획득 기법을 제안한다. 3차원 RGB 공간 분석의 어려움으로 인하여, 본 논문 또한 밝기가 고려되지 않은 ${\chi}$-색도 공간을 사용한다. 이 공간에서 유색 조명체의 효과는 백색패치의 평행이동을 통해 감소시키고, 색차에 따라 가상의 선분으로 나타나는 불변 방향은 ROI의 전방향 프로젝션을 통해 검출한다. 다수의 불변 방향을 고려하여 ROI 선택은 3D 히스토그램에서 빈도수에 의해 결정한다. 검출 후, 본질 영상은 불변 방향의 직교 방향으로의 프로젝션과 RGB영상으로의 역변환 과정을 통해 획득된다. 실험에서 Ebner가 제안한 데이터집합을 실험 영상으로 이용하였고, 불변 방향의 표준편차와 색항등성 측도를 평가 측도로 사용하였다. 제안한 기법의 실험 결과는 엔트로피 기법보다 불변 방향의 표준 편차가 낮았으며, 기존의 기법에 비해 색항등성이 2배 이상 높았다.

  • The effects of ionic strength and pH on the binding of cefazolin to bovine serum albumin (BSA) were studied by UV difference spectrophotometry. As ionic strength at constant pH and temperature increases, the apparent bining constant decreased but the number of binding sites remained almost constant at 2. The constancy of the number of binding sites with increasing the ionic strength suggests that purely electrostatic forces between BSA and drug do not have great importance in the drug binding, even though there is a decrease in the apparent binding constant. Thus, the effect of ionic strength on the interaction between drug and BSA may be explained by the changes in ionic atmosphere of the aggregated BSA molecules and competitive inhibition by phosphate ions. In addition, the higher apparent binding constant at high ionic strength is explained by conformational changes of BSA from its aggregate forms into subunits. The pH effects on the afinity of interactions indicated that the binding affinity of cefazoline is higher in the neutral region than in the alkaline region. An d at high pH value, the number of binding sites decreased from 2 to 1 because of the conformational change of BSA in the alkaline region.

  • p-KG03의 고유점도는 65.22 및 50.75 $d{\ell}/g$ 이며, 사슬강도성은 0.170이였고, 특성화 농도는 0.114 g/l이었다. p-KG03은 non-Newtonic fluid로 Power-Low Model에 의한 pseudoplastic한 물성을 갖으며, 유체성으로 p-KG03 1%의 constancy index (K)는 2,172 cp, flow behavior index (n)는 0.52이었다. 특히 pH, 염 및 열에 안정하며 기존 다당류와의 혼합이용 가능성이 있을 것으로 생각된다.

Levels of Bioaerosols in Cattle Sheds and Nearby Farmers' Houses in Korea

  • In Korea, there is only a limited amount of information currently available on the levels of airborne bacteria and fungi of cattle sheds, although certain portions of people are potentially exposed to these bioaerosols in cattle sheds. Accordingly, the current study measured them inside cattle sheds, inside and outside farmers' houses near the sheds, and/or inside residential houses far away from the sheds during winter, 2004 and summer, 2005. The airborne bacteria and fungi were detected in most samples in the cattle farmers' houses as well as in the cattle sheds. Aspergillus, Cladosporium, and Penicillium, which have been associated with adverse health effects, were three most prevalent fungal genera, and they took most of the total fungi (more than 69%). The microbial concentrations measured inside the cattle sheds were comparable to those in other reports. Nevertheless, the present arithmetic and geometric mean (GM) microbial concentrations exceeded the Korean guideline for total airborne bacteria at medical facilities ($800\;CFU\;m^{-3}$), the current GM residential indoor concentrations at houses, and the residential indoor levels reported in other countries. The present findings suggest the need for a strategy to reduce Korean cattle farmers' exposure to these microorganisms. In contrast to the microbes, it is suggested that the cattle shed is not an important microenvironment for $PM_{10}$ exposure. Two characteristics examined in this study (seasonal variation and summer survey period, i.e., temperature and humidity) were all important for the cattle farmers' occupational exposure to airborne microbes. The lack of constancy between highest and lowest concentrations of bioaerosols over the survey period further suggests the necessity of performing a long-term survey to better examine farmer exposure levels and their variability.

동해안 해안사구의 식생특성 (Vegetation Characteristics of Coastal Sand Dune in the East Coast)

  • The phytosocialogical study on the coastal sand dune vegetation of the East Coast was carried out. 180 phytosociological relev$\acute{e}$s of 62 sites in the East Coast were used in this study. In addition, already published syntaxa and the phytosociological hierarchy in Korea and Japan were used and comparative analyses of syntaxonomy, synecology, syngeography, and syndynamics were performed in the study. In this study, the flora was investigated 30 families, 66 genera, 77 taxa and 3 vegetation types were identified : the coastal drift-line annual communities (Calystegio soldanellae-Salsoletum komarovii), the dune glasslands communities (Elymo-Caricetum kobomugi, Carex kobomugi typical community, Elymus mollis community, Calystegia soldanella community, Zoysia macrostachya community, Cynodon dactylon community, Carex pumila community), and the dune shrubs communities (Linario-Viticetum rotundifoliae, Vitex rotundifolia community, Rosa rugosa community). The aspect of transition in the coastal sand dune vegetation of the East Coast were identified as follows : (1) reduced constancy degree and cover degree of Glehnia littoralis in each community; (2) lack of Ischaemum anthephoroides in Linario-Viticetum rotundifoliae (3) simplified species composition in Vitex rotundifolia community. Unstable habitat condition by external interference seemed to has caused the reduction of 2 taxa, Glehnia littoralis and Ischaemum anthephoroides, that usually grow in the second dune. In addition, we found changes in the distribution of the dune shrub communities influenced by rising temperature of the East Coast as results of the global warming. The results on the distribution of the dune shrub communities in this study demonstrated that the limit of the Rosa rugosa community made $0^{\circ}$ 44'N to the North and the vegetative limit of the Vitex rotundifolia community made $0^{\circ}$ 28'N to the North, respectively compared with the previously phytosociological studies. This study investigated the coastal sand dune vegetation, syntaxonomy, habitat condition and human disturbunce of the East Coast, and this will provide important information as basic data for the coastal ecosystem.
