Recently, the use of computer game by Korean teenagers is rapidly growing due to the expansion of the computer popularization and the development of game industry. Of all the teenagers, 82.4% have experience of playing computer game and statistics shows that 22.4% of them play everyday. There is an opinion that the computer game not only improves self confidence and concentration but also enhances internet use, foreign language usage and cognitive ability so that it accelerates learning efficacy and releases stress. On the other hand, there also exists a negative opinion on the symptoms of its addiction. Young(1996) warns that like other addictions, computer game addiction can provoke social problems such as loss of control, desire, marriage problem, schoolwork failure, financial deficiency and loss of employment. Therefore, this study has investigated how computer game addiction affects teenagers' personality. For this purpose, I have conducted the research on the reality of teenagers'computer game use, computer game addiction assessment, analysis on the difference between male and female, and on the relation between the level of computer game addiction and teenagers' personality. As a result, it is confirmed that the computer game addiction affects negatively to teenagers' personality such as stability, self-controlling, perceiving emotion, expressing emotion and controlling emotion.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the food behaviors and food preferences of teenagers by regional groups. The subjects were composed of 365 third grade students in middle schools from urban, rural and fishing areas in Kyungpook province. The data was collected by using a survey questionnaire. The results of the study are summarized as follows: Eating habits of 21-47% of the subjects, according to the regions, were poor and female students in large city showed the best eating habits while female students in fishing village showed the poorest eating habits. Out of the three regional groups studied, the subjects from the fishing villages had the highest rates of skipping meals and eating between meals. Out of all the people investigated, thirty to forty percent had unbalanced diets, the highest percentage coming from the urban areas and the lowest from the fishing villages. All together an allergic reaction to food was the highest in the fishing villages' subjects and female students were more sensitive compared to the male students. Students from the urban area had higher frequency of symptoms of lactose intolerance. Upon the investigation of the subjects 'food preferences, they preferred boiled rice to any other rice as a staple food. Cha jang myun was the most preferred out of all noodles and breads. It was found that teenagers preferred one course meal such as fried rice to a rice-centered regular meal. Out of all various meat soups, beef soup and beef-rib soup were preferred the most. As for subsidiary foods the most preferred were soybean paste stew and cuttlefish stew which they ate daily. There was a very high preference for fried foods, the most favored being pork cutlet followed by fried vegetables, sweet potatoes, and minced meat. The most preferred cooked vegetables were bean sprouts and seasoned cucumber. Seasoned cubed radish roots were the most preferred kind of kimchi. For desserts there was a very high preference for the following fruits: apples, plums, strawberries, and oranges. For beverages the most popular choice were chocolate drinks followed by orange juice, apple juice, milk and tomato juice. According to these investigations, most teenagers liked daily foods which they are used to. The study showed that on the whole the teenagers had poor eating habits. A problem that needs immediate attention is that female students and students from the fishing villages have a high rate of skipping meals. It is expected that the results of this food preference test of teenagers could be useful in the meal planning of middle school lunch programs in the future.

For this study, an analysis was conducted using AMO 22.0 and SPSS Statistics 22.0, with 426 teenagers in general middle schools. The findings of the analysis were as follows. First, the GRIT of teenagers had a significant impact on social support and career preparation behaviors. Social support had a significant effect on career preparation behaviors, as well. Second, in the relationship between the GRIT of the teenagers and their career preparation behaviors, social support, and the sub-elements of the social supports, which are emotional support, information support, evaluatory support, and material support, all had mediating effects. These study findings showed that GRIT and social support were influential factors upon career preparation behaviors. Therefore, in order to promote career preparation behaviors among teenagers, it is necessary to provide social support in the family and school environments, and it is also helpful to enhance the GRIT, which is an individual trait.
This study seeks to establish the structural relationship between the personal psychological risk factors of teenagers of depression, anxiety and impulsiveness and smartphone addiction (daily disability, virtual orientation, tolerance, withdrawal) and self-elasticity (vitality, optimism, curiosity, interpersonal relationships). Through this verification, the purpose of this study is to find out if the integrated model of smartphone addiction and self-elasticity and smartphone addiction among teenagers is reasonable, and to suggest ways to prevent and solve smartphone addiction among teenagers. In order to achieve this purpose, 356 teenagers in Seoul and the metropolitan area were surveyed for two months from August to September 2019 and the results were analyzed. The findings of this study are as follows. First, the "smartphone addiction factors" (depression, anxiety and impulsive) of adolescents have been shown to have negative effects on their self-elasticity (vitality, optimism, curiosity, interpersonal relationships). Second, the "smartphone addiction factors" (depression, anxiety and impulsive) of teenagers have been shown to have positive effects on the "smartphone addiction" (daily disability, virtual orientation, tolerance, withdrawal). Third, the youth's "self-elasticity (vitality, optimism, curiosity, interpersonal relationship)" was shown to have a negative impact on "smartphone addiction (daily disability, virtual orientation, tolerance, withdrawal)." The significance of this study is that it has examined personal psychological risk factors that affect smartphone addiction and suggested measures to prevent smartphone addiction among teenagers and solve related problems by micro-analyzing the effects on smartphone addiction by utilizing self-elasticity.
The purpose of this study was to investigate if star marketing of on-line shopping malls affects consumers' WOM effect, and to compare the differences of consumption behavior between female teenagers and college students. Two hundred five female teenagers and college students who had purchased fashion goods through internet shopping mall participated in this study. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, and multiple regression were used. As the results, first, recognition of celebrity advertising models was classified into three factors such as 'trust of product', 'attractiveness of product' and 'leading interest of product' factors. Second, the greater exposure to celebrity models, the greater the good feelings about them, showing respondents' positive consumption behavior. Third, results of multiple regression revealed that behavior of pursuing celebrities' style accounted for 37% of the explained variance WOM behavior. Finally, t-test revealed that female college students were affected more by celebrity style and bought fashion items than female teenagers. However, female teenagers conducted more WOM behavior than college students. Mobile media have become independent media formats in a current media environment. This study explores mobile media uses of metropolitan Korean teenagers focusing on demographic elements and socio-cultural dimensions. The findings of this study show that demographic variables and socio-cultural variables influenced mobile media purchases and mobile content uses. Specifically, demographic variables explain mobile media purchases more, and socio-cultural variables explain mobile content uses of Korean teenagers. Among significant variables, conformity and self demonstration are core elements explaining teenagers' consumer behaviors. These findings could provide implications to both academicians and practitioners.
The aim of this research is to establish basic materials for fashion merchandising by observing the street fashion of the juveniles and by analyzing their wearing, coordination and fashion trend. We have taken the photograph of the street fashion of 202 male teenagers and 265 female teenagers in Busan, and analyzed in the category of style, item, color, pattern, materials, hair style, shoes and accessories. We have concluded that the most frequent items were shirts (male), turtle neck (female) and jeans. The main style was casual just as jumper-look, sweater-look, gardigan-look. The typical female fashions that were hip-hop-look, twin neat-look, trench coat-look, were more various than male. For the color coordination, contrast color coordination was more dominant than similarity color coordination. Dominant patterns were solid, and also check and stripe patterns were frequently found in upper garment. The representative materials were soft for upper garment, and hard for trousers. Male teenagers prefer middle-length hair style and female teenagers prefer long hair style. The juveniles in Busan are wearing sports shoes and leather shoes in similar frequency. Their favorite accessories are bag, muffler and hat.
The purpose of this study is to examine the probabilities and expenditures of game users' loot box purchases and to verify if there are differential effects on adults and teenagers. Results show that the purchasing probability of teenagers was significantly lower than that of adults, and the amount was also low or not significant. In addition, loot box purchasing has a positive correlation with the total expenditure on games, but teenage buyers have a lower game spending than adults do. This suggests the possibility that loot boxes are considered as cost-saving products for teenage gamers.

This study analyzed the self-identified cold tolerance and wearing behavior of teenagers inside and outside the classroom during winter, considering recent climate changes. A questionnaire was divided into four parts-general information, thermal and comfort sensation inside and outside classroom, self-identified cold tolerance, and wearing behavior to collect data from 322 students. Over several years, changes were noted in respondents' wearing behavior during winter outings, with the biggest being the purchase of a "long padded jacket" for warmth while outside. Most respondents showed similar wearing behavior, such as no difference between the number of clothes worn in a classroom maintained at 20℃ (girls: 8.0±3.1 layer, boys: 6.5±2.1 layer) and outside (girls: 8.8±3.4 layer, boys: 7.1±3.0 layer), despite feeling differently about the thermal sensation inside and outside the classroom. This difference may due to a teenager's lack of knowledge about temperature and their tendency to follow clothing trends. Female students were more sensitive to the cold and wore more garments inside and outside the classroom. Gender-related differences should be considered when educating teenagers about safe and healthy clothing.
