공학교육에서의 팀티칭기반 융합프로젝트중심 교수학습모형의 개발 (Teaching-Learning Model of Convergence Project Based on Team Teaching in Engineering Education)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a teaching-learning model of convergence project based on team teaching. Based on development research methodology which explored a university case, the teaching-learning model was developed including three phases such as preparation, planning, and implementation & evaluation. The preparation phase has three steps as follows: to organize team teaching faculty; to develop convergence projects cooperated by industry and university; and to design instructions based on supporting convergence projects. The last step of preparation phase consists of five design activities of: (1) instructions and teaching contents; (2) communication channel among faculty members; (3) feedback system on students' performance; (4) tools to support learners' activity; and (5) evaluation system. The planning phase has two steps to analyze learners and to introduce and modify instruction and themes of convergence projects. The implementation & evaluation phase includes five steps as bellow: (1) to organize project teams and match teams with faculty members; (2) to do team building and assign duties to students of a team; (3) to provide instruction and consulting to teams; (4) to help teams to conduct projects through creative problem solving; and (5) to design mid-term/final presentation and evaluation. Lastly, the research implications and limitations were discussed for future studies.

교사의 수업전문성에 관한 교사와 학생의 인식 차이 (Differences of Teachers and Students' Perceptions on Teaching Skills)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 교사의 수업전문성에 관한 교사와 학생의 인식에 어떤 차이가 있는지 분석하는 것이다. 교사의 교실수업을 이해하기 위하여 교사의 수업관찰과 학생 설문은 흔히 사용되는 방법이다. 그러나 학생과 교사의 인식이 다른 경우 수업교사는 결과 해석에 혼란스럽다. 본 연구에서는 수업의 대상인 학생들의 수업전문성에 관한 인식은 학생 배경에 따라 어떻게 나타나는지, 교사의 인식과 학생참여에의 예측력은 어떻게 다른지 비교해 보았다. ICALT의 수업관찰도구와 학생 설문지(MTQ)를 사용하였다. 이 두 도구는 교사의 수업전문성에 관한 6영역 및 학생참여 영역 등 총 7개 영역 구조로 구성되어 있기 때문에 결과를 비교할 수 있다. 2016년도 대전 충북 충남 지역 소재 중학교에서 수업관찰 전문교사가 106개의 수업을 관찰하였고, 이 수업에 참여한 2866명의 학생이 설문에 응하였다. 연구 결과 학생들의 수업에 관한 인식은 대체로 높았으나 학생의 배경변인별로 다른 성향을 보였다. 학생들의 인식은 주요교과목을 배울 때, 또 학년이 낮을수록 수업전문성을 더 높게 인지하는 경향을 보였다. 남학생들은 수업기술의 난이도가 높은 영역에서 수업전문성을 더 높게 인식하였다. 학생의 학생참여에의 예측력은 수업기술의 난이도가 높은 영역에서 교사의 예측력보다 높았다. 향후 예비교사와 교사를 위해 학생설문자료를 어떻게 연수에 적용할 수 있는지 추후 연구가 필요하다.

  • In the age of knowledge and information when every aspect of economy, education and culture in society is changing rapidly, the teacher is not just a provider of knowledge in classroom. Ultra-modern educational tools and materials have come into being with the latest developments in science and technology and we see classroom teaching in general tending towards more 'open' classroom and study. What the students need most for the coming century is the cultivation of higher faculties such as creative thinking, the power to solve problems, and the spirit of inquiry. The present-day teacher is required to make use of various teaching medial in order to provide the students with better educational environment for developing these faculties, not the teaching method of the past with the teacher at the center. One way to enhance classroom environment is in reintroducing the modernized teacher's desk to the center of teaching apparatus. This paper is about the better way of designing the teacher's multimedia desk equipped with a PC that will make it possible for the teacher to utilize the internet-based educational resources.

평면변환기하에 있어서 Mathematica를 이용한 교수-학습방법 (Teaching-Learning Method for Plane Transformation Geometry with Mathematica)

  • The world we live in is called the age of information. Thus communication and computers are doing the central role in it. When one studies the mathematical problem, the use of tools such as computers, calculators and technology is available for all students, and then students are actively engaged in reasoning, communicating, problem solving, and making connections with mathematics, between mathematics and other disciplines. The use of technology extends to include computer algebra systems, spreadsheets, dynamic geometry software and the Internet and help active learning of students by analyzing data and realizing mathematical models visually. In this paper, we explain concepts of transformation, linear transformation, congruence transformation and homothety, and introduce interesting, meaningful and visual models for teaching of a plane transformation geomeoy which are obtained by using Mathematica. Moreover, this study will show how to visualize linear transformation for student's better understanding in teaching a plane transformation geometry in classroom. New development of these kinds of teaching-learning methods can simulate student's curiosity about mathematics and their interest. Therefore these models will give teachers the active teaching and also give students the successful loaming for obtaining the concept of linear transformation.

Citation Practices in Academic Corpora: Implications for EAP Writing

  • Explicit reference to the work of other authors is an essential feature of most academic research writings. Corpus analysis of academic text can reveal much about what writers actually do and why they do so. Application of corpus tools in language education has been well documented by many scholars (Pedersen, 1995, Swales, 1990, Thompson, 2000). They demonstrate how computer technology can assist in the effective analysis of corpus based data. For teaching purposes, tills recent research provides insights in the areas of English for Academe Purposes (EAP). The need for such support is evident when students have to use appropriate citations in their writings. Using Swales' (1990) division of citation forms into integral and non-integral and Thompson and Tnbble's (2001) classification scheme, this paper codifies academic texts in a corpus. The texts are academic research articles from different disciplines. The results lead into a comparison of the citation practices m different disciplines. Finally, it is argued that the information obtained in this study is useful for EAP writing courses in EFL countries.

Visual Thinking Tools in Enhancing ESL Students' Writing Ability

  • Writing is a difficult skill for many people, both for children and adult alike and generally most people find it difficult to write down their thoughts effectively. Numerous studies have revealed that teachers find it frustrating to teach writing and many failed to help ESL students develop their writing ability. The theoretical emphasis on process oriented writing instruction has, in general brought about positive changes in the way writing is taught and has become widely accepted in the teaching of English as a second or foreign language (ESL/EFL). Although the interpretation and implementation of the process approach varies considerably from instructor to instructor, nevertheless, the emphasis on process writing has brought about significant and beneficial changes in teachers' orientations to writing. Despite the theoretical recognition of writing as a recursive process, many ESL/EFL classrooms continue to teach writing as a linear sequence of planning, pre-writing, writing, revising and editing and has not enhanced ESL/EFL students writing ability to the desired level. There appears to be a missing link in helping students to crystallize their thoughts before writing. Studies have shown that incorporating visual thinking tools into the process approach of ESL writing can enhance students' ability to write. This paper reports the findings of an exploratory study on the effects of using visual thinking tools in enhancing ESL students writing.

초등학생을 위한 증강현실 기반 프로그래밍 도구 분석 (Augmented Reality-based Programming Tool Analysis for Elementary)

  • 본 연구는 초등학생을 대상으로 하는 증강현실 기반 프로그래밍 학습 도구의 개발 방향에 대해 논의하고자 기존에 개발된 도구와 관련 문헌을 분석하였다. 문헌연구를 통해, 명령어를 조작하는 환경은 모바일형 증강현실 내에서 터치하는 방식이 효과적이며 수업 환경과 교수학습전략을 고려한 콘텐츠 개발과 설계가 필요하다는 결론을 도출하였다. 이를 토대로 초등학생을 위한 증강현실 프로그래밍 도구는 실물 교재나 특정 공간을 인식시키면 프로그래밍 문제가 증강되며 증강된 환경 내에서 명령어 선택 및 조합을 가능하게 함으로써, 프로그래밍에 대한 흥미와 관심을 증진 시킬 수 있도록 설계되어야 함을 시사하였다.

  • 수학교육에서 창조적 사고력을 기르는 것이 중요하며, 이에 관한 연구의 집적이 필요하다 이 연구는 수학교육을 통해 다양하고 확산적인 사고활동을 촉진하여 창조성의 육성이 가능하다는 것에 대하여 탐구하였다. 이를 위해 초등학교 수학교육에서 창조적 사고력을 길러줄 수 있다고 생각하는 교구에 의한 조작 활동 및 문제해결과 문제 만들기 학습 지도 방법을 통한 학생들의 다양하고 확산적인 생산에 대한 실제 사례를 들면서 논하였다. 수학교육에서 창조성의 육성은 초등학교 단계의 어린 시기부터 실시하는 것이 바람직하다고 생각되며, 이를 위한 다양한 교재 및 학습 지도 방법에 대한 개발·연구의 집적이 필요하다고 생각한다.

문제해결력 향상을 위한 초.중학교 정보교과의 생산성 도구에 대한 교육과정 구성 연구 (A Study on Information Science Curriculum of Productivity Tools to Increase Ability for Problem Solving in Elementary and Middle School)

  • 국내외의 여러 기관과 단체에서는 21세기 학습자가 갖추어야 할 핵심 역량의 하나로 ICT 능력을 선정하고 있다. 따라서 한국정보교육학회에서는 정보 교과의 내용 체계에 대한 개정안에 대하여 연구하였으며, 정보 교육 내용을 '컴퓨터 시스템', '소프트웨어 제작' 및 '융합 활동'의 세 영역으로 구분하는 내용세계를 제시하였다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 한국정보교육학회에서 제시한 정보교과 내용체계의 '융합활동' 영역 중 생산성 도구에 대한 초등학교 및 중학교의 성취 기준을 학년군별로 마련하였다. 그 결과, 초등학교 1-2학년군에서는 그리기 도구를, 3-4학년은 문서 작성 도구를, 5-6학년은 멀티미디어 도구를, 중학교 1-3학년군은 자료분석 도구를 각각 선정하였다. 그리고 이 성취 기준을 도달하기 위한 교수 학습 방법과 평가 방안을 학년군 별로 세분화하여 제시하였다. 이와 같이 본 연구에서 제시한 '생산성 도구'에 대한 성취기준, 교수 학습 방법, 평가 방법은 향후 초 중등학교 정보교과 교육과정을 개발하는데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

The Importance of Multimedia for Professional Training of Future Specialists

  • For high-quality education of the modern generation of students, forms of organizing the educational process and the latest methods of obtaining knowledge that differ from traditional ones are necessary. The importance of multimedia teaching tools is shown, which are promising and highly effective tools that allow the teacher not only to present an array of information in a larger volume than traditional sources of information, but also to include text, graphs, diagrams, sound, animation, video, etc. in a visually integrated form. Approaches to the classification of multimedia learning tools are revealed. Special features, advantages of multimedia, expediency of use and their disadvantages are highlighted. A comprehensive analysis of the capabilities of multimedia teaching tools gave grounds for identifying the didactic functions that they perform. Several areas of multimedia application are described. Multimedia technologies make it possible to implement several basic methods of pedagogical activity, which are traditionally divided into active and passive principles of student interaction with the computer, which are revealed in the article. Important conditions for the implementation of multimedia technologies in the educational process are indicated. The feasibility of using multimedia in education is illustrated by examples. Of particular importance in education are game forms of learning, in the implementation of which educational elements based on media material play an important role. The influence of the game on the development of attention by means of works of media culture, which are very diverse in form and character, is shown. The importance of the role of multimedia in student education is indicated. In the educational process of multimedia students, a number of educational functions are implemented, which are presented in the article. Recommendations for using multimedia are given.
