한국 사회에서의 아프리카계 미국인 학생의 제 2언어로서의 한국어 학습과정 (A Journey of an African American's Korean as a Second Language Learning in the Korean Community)

  • 본 연구는 아프리카계 미국인 학생의 한국에서의 성공적인 제 2 언어 학습 경험을 조사하였다. 한국에 많은 다문화 가정들이 있지만, 아프리카계 미국인 학생들의 제 2 언어 학습에 관한 연구는 부족하다. 과거에, 몇 몇 미국 연구자들은 아프리카계 미국 학생들을 학습부진아들로 분석하였지만, 그들의 제 2 언어 학습의 성공적인 사례에 대한 보고는 거의 없다. 질적 연구 방법론을 사용하여, 본 연구자들은 메리라는 한 아프리카계 미국인 여학생을 인터뷰하고 관찰조사 하였다. 또한, 메리의 어머니, 선생님, 그리고 친구들을 인터뷰하여, 메리의 한국어 발달에 대하여 조사하였다. 연구 결과로 메리의 한국어 화자로서의 노력은 가족, 한국사회, 그리고 친구들의 도움으로 이루어졌다. 메리는 언어 발달에 있어서 특별한 사회적 조직적 지원들을 경험했음을 또 한 묘사하였다. 본 연구는 한국에 있는 다문화 학습자들 교육에 대한 교육적 시사점을 논의하고, 아프리카계 미국인 학습자에 대한 부정적인 편견을 극복할 수 있는 가능성에 대하여 토론하였다.

일부 여대생의 건강증진 생활양식과 관련요인연구 (A Study on Influencing Factors in Health Promoting Lifestyles of Female College Student)

  • This descriptive correlational study was conducted to identify the variables related to a health promoting lifestyle in college female students. Participants were 232 female college student living in chinju city who selected by convenience sampling method. The data were collected by self-reported questionnaires from May to December. 1999. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics. pearson correlation coefficient. t-test. ANOVA. Duncan verification and stepwise multiple regression with an SAS program. The result to this study were as follows; 1) The average score of a health promoting lifestyle performance was 97.19, the average score of each item was 2.37. among the each items. self-actualization was obtained the most high score(31.10) and stress management was obtained the low score(14.74). 2) The result of compare health promoting lifestyle performance with related variables was follows; (1) In intervention factor, school lifestyle level showed significant positive correlations with teaching relationship level. (2) In Analysis of relationship of health definition. self-efficacy, perceived health status. and perceived benefit & barriers of health that is recognition-perception factors. health promoting lifestyle performance showed significant positive correlations with health definition (r = .2948. p = .001) and self-efficacy (r= .4587. p = .001). (3) A health promoting lifestyle showed significant positive correlations with school lifestyle(9.9%), family support (12.8%), and relationship with teacher (14.6%). This result indicate that; 1) need to development the health promoting model that suitable to our situation. 2) need to development the health promoting model that include family member and application and test to women. 3) need to development of the health promotion program and health education to women. 4) need to study for find out variables that have a influence to stress management. exercise. nutrition. and health promoting performance with low score in test.

양주시 초등학교 4학년 세시풍속교육프로그램 연구 - 여름 세시풍속을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Educational Program of Seasonal Customs for the 4th Grade Students in the Elementary School in Yangju City - Focused on the Seasonal Customs in Summer -)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in the understanding level of the Korean traditional seasonal customs during summer (i.e. Buddha's birthday, Dano festival, Yudu festival and Chilseok) before and after the execution of a educational program concerning seasonal customs and determine if elementary school teachers recognize a need for this kind of educational program. The subjects of this study were 168 students in the 4th grade at two elementary schools (84 students each for the experiment group and the control group) and 249 teachers at the elementary schools in Yangju city. The major results of this study are as follows : First, it was shown that there is no significant difference in the understanding level of seasonal customs between the experiment group and the control group in the pre-test, but after carrying out the educational program, it was indicated that there is a statistically significant difference between the experiment group and the control group in the post-test. Second, in addition to strongly pointing out the necessity of seasonal customs education, the teachers recognized that it is desirable to teach seasonal customs to students through the discretionary activity class corresponding to the seasonal divisions in the year and that it is especially important to perform the educational activity through traditional plays and to utilize audio-visual media. Also, teachers hoped that a seasonal customs program suitable for elementary school students would be required, along with the development of instructional materials, and finally that the schools need to further develop teacher training through field inspections and practice.

고용형태에 따른 경기지역 학교 영양교육 실태 및 직접 영양교육 활성화 방안 (Current Status and Strategic Plan of Nutrition Education Comparing Nutrition Teachers with Dietitians in Schools, Gyeonggi Area)

  • The aim of this study was to investigate how implementation of direct nutrition education differs between nutrition teachers and dietitians in Gyeonggi Area. In this study, we collected data from 107 nutrition teachers and 129 dietitians in 2012. Among those who have answered they implemented direct nutrition education for the last one year, 36% were nutrition teachers and 10% were dietitians (p < 0.05). Among subjects who implemented direct education, a significantly greater percentage of nutrition teachers used a class as an education time to conduct creative hands-on-activity compare to dietitians (p < 0.05). However, for most dietitians, school meal time was more commonly used for direct nutrition education. When asked to make a suggestion regarding improvement for school nutrition education, the highest rate of people chose simplification of school administrative work (4.68 points) was needed. Developing nutrition education (4.55 points) showed the next highest rate. The rest of the answers were the following order; regular training of teaching methods (4.50 points), increasing awareness of school teachers (4.50 points), improving school facilities and financial support (4.47 points), preparing teaching plan (4.46 points), providing incentive for direct education (4.26 points), organizing regular class for nutrition education (4.17 points), and placing nutrition teachers (4.16 points). This study provides useful information including manageable workload of nutrition teachers and dietitians, capacity building and supportive school environment to be delivered with respect to nutrition education system in South Korea.

고등학생들의 흡연과 음주의 관련성 및 영향요인 (Factors Affecting High School Students' Drinking and Smoking Behaviors and the Relation between Them)

  • Purpose: This study was to investigate the relation among social support, drinking and smoking and to identify factors affecting high school students' smoking and drinking behaviors. Methods: Data were collected from 361 high school students (182 students in 2 preparatory schools and 179 students in 2 vocational high schools) who were selected through convenient sampling. Data were analyzed using SPSS 11.5 for Windows. Results: Factors affecting smoking behavior were drinking(OR=15.86. p<0.01), school type(R=11.82, p<0.01), school record(OR=46.62. p<0.001), pocket money (OR= 10.91. p<0.01) and brother's smoking (OR=9.09. p<0.05). Factors affecting drinking behavior were smoking(OR=8.32. p<0.01), school type(OR=2.53. p<0.01), school record(OR=2.35. p<0.01), pocket money(OR=2.01. p<0.05), father's educational background(OR=2.126. p<0.05), mother's drinking(OR= 1.83. p<0.05) and relationship with teacher (OR=2.44. p<0.01). Conclusion: The behaviors of drinking and smoking in high school students were highly correlated with each other. School record, school type, pocket money and family member's behaviors influenced student's behaviors. Further study is required to estimate the effect of drinking and smoking intervention programs according to student's characteristics such as school record, school type, pocket money management, and family members' influence.

초·중등학교 교사의 심폐소생술 수행의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing for Intention to Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Elementary and Secondary School Teachers)

  • Purpose: The study aimed to investigate elementary and secondary school teacher's knowledge, attitude, and self-efficacy regarding cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and explore which factors affect their intention to perform CPR. Methods: A descriptive correlational study design was utilized. Data were collected using self-reported questionnaire from 147 teachers. Statistical analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, t-test, 𝑥2 test, F-test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and logistic regression with the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. Results: The average of knowledge, attitude and self-efficacy on CPR was 11.11±1.88 out of 15, 42.81±5.22 out of 55, and 86.19±17.74 out of 120 in order. CPR performance intention had significantly positive correlations with knowledge, attitude, and self-efficacy on CPR. In logistic regression, factors significantly affecting intention to perform CPR were the total number of training sessions on CPR (OR=12.15, 95% CI: 2.83~52.20), attitude on CPR (OR=9.26, 95% CI: 1.61~53.34), and self-efficacy on CPR (OR=1.72, 95% CI: 1.04~2.84), which accounted for 42.7% of the variance. Conclusion: In order to increase the intention to perform CPR among teachers in elementary and secondary schools, it is necessary for an educational program to be developed to improve positive attitudes and self-efficacy on CPR.

2005년부터 2009년까지 한국의 단체급식에 관한 연구 동향분석 (Trend Analysis Regarding the Institutional Foodservice-Related Research in Korea from 2005 to 2009)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the trend of academic journals of institutional foodservice published from 2005 to 2009. This study was conducted by content analysis. We collected 322 articles including the subject of institutional foodservice Industry published from January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2009. Classification based on content analysis was conducted based on research method, statistical analysis, survey area, institution and location, sample type and research subject. First, in case of the research method, primary field survey/monitoring showed the highest rate. In addition, statistical analysis was as follows. Frequency/descriptive analysis were used as the highest rate. Survey area was a high percentage in case of Seoul/Incheon/Gyeong-gi province. In case of the institution and location, school/university showed the highest rate. In the sample type, foodservice employee/dietitian/nutrition teacher showed the highest rate. In this study, the most important research subjects were classified study subjects into seven by taking advantage of the previous studies. The greatest numerical study in seven study subjects was 'service quality and customers'(28.9%), and the following subjects were 'foodservice operation'(26.4%), 'hygiene, security and microbiology' (15.8%), 'organization and human resource' (15.5%). But it is noteworthy that 'marketing and strategic management'(9.6%) and 'education and training'(3.1%) of lower research results in this study are also important fields in institutional foodservice industry. Moreover, the study of such subjects is considered more necessary in the future.

고등학생의 자살위험성, 자아존중감 및 영적 안녕의 관계 (The Relationships among the Suicidal Risk, Self-Esteem, and Spiritual Well-being of High School Students)

  • Purpose: This study was carried out to investigate the relationships among suicidal risk, self-esteem, and spiritual well-being of high school students, and to provide basic data for developing suicide prevention programs. Method: The subjects of this study were 1.176 high school students from six academic high schools and two technical high schools in Daegu City. Data were collected from the 13th to the 25th of September 2004. The research tools were the Suicide Probability Scale developed by Go. Kim and Lee (2000), the Self-Esteem Inventory modified by Choi and Jeon (1993), and the tool of Spiritual Well-Being modified by Yoo (2002). Data were analyzed with SPSS Windows 11.0. Result: Variables that showed statistically significant difference in suicidal risk were school type, whether to have the best friends, the number of close friends, current relationship with close friends, experience of school violation, respect for the teacher, grades, financial condition, parents marital status, father's education level, mother's education level, home atmosphere, conversation with father, conversation with mother, smoking, drinking, experience of counseling for problems, whether to have physical illnesses, experience of thinking about suicide, experience of attempting suicide. Suicidal risk was in a significantly negative correlation with self-esteem and spiritual well-being. Conclusion: The researcher identified many different variables that affect the suicidal risk of high school students. Self-esteem and spiritual well-being were found to be in a significant correlation with suicidal risk. Therefore, the results of this study can be used as basic data and information for suicidal prevention programs.

수리적 모델링을 통한 강의실 배정문제 해법에 관한 연구 (Mathematical modeling approach for classroom assignment problem)

  • 최근 한국의 교육인구가 급격히 감소함에 따라 대학 환경에 많은 변화가 일어나고 있다. 특히 지역사회에 연계한 전문대학의 경우 다양한 교육의 변화, 즉 기존의 일률적인 2년제 학제에서 3년제로의 학제전환, 일학습병행제를 통한 근로자 학위 수여, 산업체 근로자 야간 위탁교육 등의 실시를 통해 위기에 대응하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 교육대상 및 내용의 변화는 한정된 강의실을 적절히 전공과목에 배정해야 하는 새로운 형태의 강의실 배정문제를 일으키고 있다. 본 논문에서는 강의실 배정을 위해 준수해야 하는 제약을 반드시 준수해야 하는 절대 제약과 가능한 준수 해야 하는 상대제약으로 구분하고, 이를 수리적으로 모델링 하여 최적화 소프트웨어를 통해 최적의 강의실 배정을 하였다. 절대제약에는 한 강의실에 2개 교반 이상 배정이 되면 안 되는 등과 같은 물리적인 제약들이며, 상대제약은 교수의 편의성을 고려한 강의 시수 배정 등과 같은 논리적인 제약이다. 결과는 만족스러웠으며 기존의 사람을 통한 강의실 배정보다 여러 가지 지표면에서(강의실 활용률과 교수 만족도) 월등한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

도시와 농촌지역 초등학교 아동의 스트레스와 스트레스 대처행동에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Elementary School Children's Stress and Coping Behavior in Urban and Rural Areas)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relation of elementary school children's stress and coping behavior in urban and rural areas. The subject included 286 children selected from 4 elementary schools in urban and rural areas. The instruments included the children's stress index and coping behavior questionnaire of the elementary school children. The statistics used from this data were t-test, one-way ANOVA(Duncan test), correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. This study showed significant differences between urban and rural children's stress in school attainment domain, teacher-school domain, home environment domain and surroundings domain. And urban and rural children was different in active, passive/avoidant and aggressive coping behavior. The stress of urban's children was influenced significantly by the grade and school attainment variales, and the rural children's stress was influenced significantly by the gender variable. The coping behavior of urban's children was influenced by the gender, grade and school attainment variables, and also the rural children's coping behavior was influenced by the above variables. Correlation analysis indicated that children's stress and aggressive coping behavior were relative positive high correlation in urban areas, and children's stress and passive/avoidant coping behavior were positive high correlation in rural areas. It was also found that school attainment, aggressive coping behavior and passive/avoidant coping behavior were significant predictors of urban children's stress, and gender, passive/avoidant coping behavior and aggressive coping behavior were significant predictors of rural children's stress.
