  • We have established the quantitative method for assay antimutagenic activity from natural products using SOS chromotest technique. Establishment of the method in this study makes it possible to numerize antimutagenic activities from samples in term of the sample amount required for 50% inhibition to mutagenic activity induced by the chemical mutagen under the standard assay condition. Antimutagenic activities of rices from different cultivars as well as other cereals were assayed through this method. The results revealed that antimutagenic activities of mutant cultivar, Suwon 393(Hyangdo) and Sanghaehyanghyulla(Jado), were higher than Chuchung which mainly consumed for steamed rice, and also indicated that antimutagenic activities of cereals, such as job'tear, buckwheat, small red bean, black bean were generally higher than that of brown rice.

  • A pressure effect of the dehydrogenation of ethylalcohol catalyzed by alcoholdehydrogenase was observed in Tris-HCl buffer, pH 8.8 from $25^{\circ}C$ to $35^{\circ}C$ under high pressure system by using our new theory. The theory makes it possible for us to obtain all rate and equilibrium constants for each step of all enzymatic reaction with a single intermediate. We had enthalpy and volume profiles of the dehydrogenation to suggest a detail and reasonable mechanism of the reaction. In these profiles, both enthalpy and entropy of the reaction are positive and their values decrease with enhancing pressure. It means that the first step is endothermic reaction, and its strength decrease with elevating pressure. At the same time, all activation entropies have large negative values, which prove that not only a ternary complex has a more ordered structure at transition state, but also water molecules make a iceberg close by the activated complex. In addition to this fact, the first and second step equilibrium states are controlled by enthalpy. The first step kinetic state is controlled by enthalpy but the second step kinetic state is controlled by entropy.

  • This study was designed to examine the influence of gratitude enhancement program on preschoolers' aggression perceived by their teacher and mother. The subjects in this study were 40 four-year-old children in kindergarten in U city. This study employed a pre/post-test control group design, and so all subjects were assigned to an experimental group(gratitude enhancement program) or comparative group(general education program according to the year curriculum). Preschoolers' aggression was measured by the teacher and mother of the subjects and the collected data were analyzed by independent and paired t-test. This study also computed Cohen's d to estimate effect size of gratitude enhancement program on preschoolers' aggression. The findings of this study were as follows. Firstly, gratitude enhancement program and general education program were all effective in reducing preschoolers' aggression(aggression against things, verbal aggression and total aggression) perceived by their teacher except of aggression against others. But gratitude enhancement program was more effective than general education program in reducing these sort of aggression. Meanwhile, only gratitude enhancement program was effective in reducing preschoolers' aggression against others. Secondly, gratitude enhancement program was effective in reducing preschoolers' aggression(aggression against things, aggression against others, verbal aggression and total aggression).

  • This study examined pre-service science teachers' perceptions of informal learning by adopting a discourse analysis method suggested by Mortimer and Scott(2003). The guiding research questions were: (1) What are some general patterns of the discourse occurring in science museums between a teacher and a student? (2) In what ways do the pre-service teachers perceive informal learning and teacher's role in informal settings? The 7 pre-service science teachers participated in this study. Each of them shepherd an elementary student around the museum and implemented their own instruction using a pre-planed lesson plan. Results indicated that even though the teachers had learned some characteristics of informal teaming in their college courses, they tended to implement their traditional view of science teaming into the instruction and the view affected them to set up their teaching purposes and contents, and to select communicative approach, patterns of discourse and ways of intervention.

Furthermore, the effect of drama as a way of improving early childhood teacher's artistic competence is explained. Many researchers have mentioned that early childhood is a period of sensitivity and potential. Therefore, it will be helpful if children meet a teacher who understands them and inspires their innate artistic sense at a level of their eyes. It explained which aspect of artistic competence should be focused for the teacher training education. There are many approaches to develop early childhood teachers' artistic competence. Adopting drama is one of them. The strong points of drama to improve their artistic competence are as follows. Firstly, human's movement and voice are the main artistic channel in drama. What we are doing in daily life is found are drama world. It means if early childhood teachers experience drama activity, they will feel more comfortable and intimate with it. In addition, early childhood teachers tend to be familiar with dramatic play, so they can more easily access to drama world. Secondly, drama will be helpful to understand different feelings and to broaden and deepen understandings of others' standpoints. For early childhood teachers, drama activity will be helpful to understand how dramatic art form works and to lead children's play in diversified and sincere way. In addition, drama activity will be useful to build horizontal and democratic relationships between children and the teacher. It is one of the main emphases of 2019 revised Nori national curriculum.
