This paper proposes a design of stepper motor control in microstep driven mode using FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) for hardware implementation. The methods to drive stepper motor in microstep excitation mode are to control of the controlling currents in each phase windings of stepper motor with reference signals. These reference signals are used for controlling the current levels, the required variation of current levels with rotor position can be obtained from the ideal linear or sinusoidal approximations to the static torque-displacement ($T-{\theta}$) characteristic curve. In addition, the hardware implementation of stepper motor controller can be designed uses VHDL (Very high speed integrated circuits Hardware Description Language) and synthesis using an Altera FPGA, FLEX10K family, EPF10K20RC240-4 device as target technology and use MAX+PlusII program for overall development. A multi-stack variable-reluctance stepper motor of Sanyo Denki is used in the experiments.

In this paper, to improve the efficiency of welding and user convenience in the shipbuilding industry, a PC-based off-line programming (OLP) technique and the development of a robot transfer unit are presented. The developed OLP system is capable of not only robot motion simulations but also automatic generations of a series of robot programs. The strength of the developed OLP system lies in its flexibility in handling the changes of the welding robot's target objects. Moreover, for a precise transfer of the robot to a desired location, an auxiliary mobile platform named a robot-origin-transfer-unit (ROTU) was developed. To enhance the cornering capability of the platform in a narrow area, the developed ROTU is equipped with 2 steering wheels and 1 driving wheel. Both the OLP and the ROTU were field-tested and their performances were proven successful.

Nowadays, large amounts of XML documents are available on the Internet. Thus, we need to analyze them multi-dimensionally in the same way as relational data. In this paper, we propose a new frame-work for multidimensional analysis of XML documents, which we call XML-OLAP. We base XML-OLAP on XML warehouses where every fact data as well as dimension data are stored as XML documents. We build XML cubes from XML warehouses. We propose a new multidimensional expression language for XML cubes, which we call XML-MDX. XML-MDX statements target XML cubes and use XQuery expressions to designate the measure data. They specify text mining operators for aggregating text constituting the measure data. We evaluate XML-OLAP by applying it to a U.S. patent XML warehouse. We use XML-MDX queries, which demonstrate that XML-OLAP is effective for multi-dimensionally analyzing the U.S. patents.

This research presents new type of remote monitoring and control solution of PLC that can be used bi-directional and efficient management of factory automation through internet. This system has client/server architect for information handling between PLC and remote computer where a user can control and monitor target PLC. Actually the authors redirect RS232C connection between PLC and server computer into Internet connection between PLC and remote client computer using supplied PLC tool program So user feel like in front of PLC panel when he operates remote PLC through Internet. Each client/server program is constructed with Java language for security. In this paper the internet-based remote control system was proposed and proved validity by being applied to redirection of PLC control for factory automation.

The present study investigated the effect of sentence translation as a production task on short-term and long-term retention of foreign vocabulary. 87 EFL university students at a beginning level, enrolled in reading class participated in the study. The study compared the performance of three groups on vocabulary recall: (1) Control group, (2) Translation group, and (3) Copy group. During the treatment sessions, translation group translated L1 sentences into English, while copy group simply copied given English sentences with each target word. Results of the immediate test were collected each week from week 2 to week 5 and analyzed by one-way ANOVA. Results revealed that regarding short-term vocabulary retention, participants in rote-copy condition outperformed those in translation group. Four weeks later a delayed test was administered to measure long-term vocabulary retention. In contrast, the results of two-way repeated measures ANOVA showed that long-term vocabulary retention of translation group was significantly greater than copy group. The findings suggest that although sentence translation is rather challenging to low-level learners, it may facilitate long-term retention of new vocabulary given the more elaborate and deeper processing the task entails.

In this study, Art area -based STEAM education programs that take advantage of the Scratch was to analyze the effect of the development of elementary school students' creativity. The winter break of ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ university education donation application students 3, 4, 5th grader was verified two research hypothesis to the target. First, Art area -based STEAM education programs will be effective on the development of elementary school students' creativity. Second, Art area -based STEAM education programs will be more effective on the development of the elementary school girls' creativity than the elementary school boys' creativity. Art area -based STEAM education programs is to show a significant difference on the development of elementary school students' creativity, mean change of elementary school girls were remarkable than boys.

In this paper, we present a 3D visualization method of medical image on PC. Using morphological method, we used to segment 2D medical images (X-ray CT, MRI). Presented method is treating in some detail two operations : dilation and erosion. Also known as an isosurface, using a constant density surface make a target organ in 3D. In the whole procedure for visualization. The medical images are implemented by using Visual C++ 5.0 in activeX and IDL(interactive data language) under PC environment.

아키텍쳐 기술 언어(ADL : Architecture Description Language)는 상위 추상화 수준에서의 소프트웨어 시스템의 구조와 행위를 기술하는데 필요한 아키텍쳐 모델 요소들에 대한 직접적인 표현 수단을 제공한다. ADL온 특히 명세 수준의 논리적인 아키텍처를 모델링, 분석하는데 유용하다. 그렇지만 ADL로 기술된 상위 수준의 아키텍쳐 명세가 하위 수준의 구현 시스템으로 어떻게 상세화 되는지 알기가 쉽지 않다. 즉, 상위 수준의 아키텍쳐 명세와 하위 수준의 아키텍쳐 구현 사이에 의미적 차이가 존재한다. 본 논문은 이러한 의미적 차이를 효율적으로 줄일 수 있는 방법을 찾기 위한 일차적인 연구 결과로서, C2 스타일 기반의 ADL로 기술된 아키텍쳐 모델을 Java 구현 코드로 자동 변환하는 방법을 제안한다.

This paper presents results from speech production experiments on English, Korean, and Hindi that compare variation in the acoustic expression of dissimilar phonological laryngeal contrast in stops conditioned by prosodic prominence. Target stops are analyzed from utterance-initial, -medial, and -final positions, with a variation in contrastive focal accent, from the speech data by six male American English speakers, five male Seoul Korean speakers, and five male Delhi Hindi speakers. The results show that prosodic prominence conditions enhanced distinctiveness between contrastive segments in the three languages. The manner in which prosodic prominence and prosodic phrase structure is marked at the level of segmental variation is, however, found to be language-specific to some extent. In addition, a correlation between the size of the phonological inventory and the corresponding acoustic variation was found but the linear correlation was not strongly supported with the findings in the present study.

In this paper, we implemented the Android NDK porting application with Eclipse(JDK) ADT and TinyOS 2.0. TinyOS and Cygwin are component based embedded system and an Open-source basis for interfacing with sensor application from H-mote. Cygwin is a collection of tools for using the Linux environment for commercially released with x86 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows. TinyOS-2. x is a component based embedded OS by UC Berkeley and is an Open-source OS designed for interfacing the sensor application with specific C-language. The results of Android porting experiment are described to show the improvement of sensor interfacing functionality under the PXA320 embedded RTOS platform. We will further more develop the software programming of Android porting under Embedded platform and enhance the functionality of the Android SDK with mobile gaming and kernel programming under sensor interfacing activity.
