승용차 연료탱크의 유량변화에 따른 진동 소음 특성 (Characteristics of Vibration and Noise due to Various Fuel Quantity in Vehicle Fuel Tank)

  • Vibration originated from the fuel pump is transmitted to the fuel pump module and fuel tank. Fuel tank transmits it to chassis of vehicle. Also, noise perturbed through fuel and fuel tank is radiated out. Dynamic characteristics of fuel tank are composed of tank structure and containing fuel quantity. Therefore, this study is focused at fuel tank with various quantity. As a result, characteristics of vibration for various fuel quantity in a tank are identified as the more mass of fuel is, the less the 1st resonance frequency decrease. Also, between acoustic camera and mode shape of modal analysis are used for searching the positions of radiated noise and are found to be in accordance with each other.

네트워크 기반의 전차 교전 훈련 모델 개발 (Development of Network Based Tank Combat Training Model)

  • As a part of development of Korean K2 main battle tank, embedded training computer to be operated in the main equipment, which makes it possible to train without a special-purposed training simulator, was adopted for tank combat training. The category of embedded training of Korean K2 main battle tank includes driving training, gunnery training, single tank combat training, platoon level combat training, and command and platoon leaders combat training. For realization unit level tank embedded training system, the virtual reality was utilized for real time image rendering, and network based real time communication system of K2 tank was utilized for sharing status information between tanks. As a result, it is possible to train themselves on their own tank for enhancing the operational skills and harmonized task with members.

헬리콥터 연료탱크 기본설계 (Preliminary Design of Helicopter Fuel Tank)

  • This paper presents the procedure and the results of the preliminary design of the fuel tank as a part of developing the helicopter. For the requirements of operational capability, MIL-DTL-27422D and Defence Standard 15-2/Issue 1 are considered to be applied in developing a helicopter fuel tank. The procedure of the fuel tank development is set up including interface plate design, tank design, former design, tank material lay-up, and tank installation assessment. The outer moulded line and fittings of fuel tank have being designed, and several test will be performed to get the qualification.

잔향수조 내 수중음원의 음원레벨 추정기법에 관한 실험연구 (Experimental Study on Source Level Estimation Techniques of Underwater Sound Source in Reverberant Water Tank)

  • The acoustic power is used as a primary index characterizing underwater sound sources and could be defined by its source level. The source level has been assessed using various experimental techniques such as the reverberation time method and reverberant tank plot method. While the reverberation time method requires reverberation time data extracted in a preliminary experiment in a reverberant water tank, the reverberant tank plot method only needs acoustic pressure data directly obtained at the reverberation water tank. In this research, these experimental techniques were studied in comparative experiments to estimate the source levels of underwater sources in a reverberant water tank. This paper summarizes the basic theories and procedures of these experimental techniques and presents the experimental results for an underwater source in a long cuboid water tank using each technique, along with a discussion.

위험물 수송 철도차량 탱크의 구조강도 평가방법 개선연구 (A Study on Improvement of Structural Strength Evaluation Methods for Tank of Tank Car used for Carrying Hazard Materials)

  • 본 연구에서는 현재 위험물 수송용 탱크 화차에 대하여 수행되고 있는 구조해석 방법에 대한 문제점을 보완하기 위하여 국내에서 운행중인 위험물 수송용 탱크차의 종류와 특성을 조사하고 그 중 아스팔트 탱크화차의 비압력식 탱크에 대하여 탱크 화차의 구조적 특성을 고려하는 유한요소법을 이용한 구조적 강도평가 방법을 제시하였고 이를 위하여 JIS E 7102에 기술되어있는 탱크화차의 강도설계를 위한 실차 시험방법 절차를 유한요소법으로 구현하여 해석하였다. 그 결과 탱크를 지지하는 새들과 탱크와의 접촉부에서 최대응력이 발생하였으나 이는 JIS 규격에서 제시하는 평가기준을 초과하지 않았다. 이로써 아스팔트 탱크화차의 탱크는 충분한 구조적 강도를 갖고 있다는 결과를 도출하였다.

태양열원 난방기의 수축열조 효율개선에 관한 연구 (The Study on Efficiency Improvement of a Thermal Storage Tank for Solar Combined Heating System)

  • This study is conducted to improve the efficiency of a thermal storage tank. The thermal storage tank was designed to store heat energy that obtained from the solar or the others heat sources. However, it has difficulties in storing heat with nonuniform temperature through the entire tank with respect to the vertical direction, This study is focused on the thermal stratification to improve thermal comfort for the resident in house. To enhance temperature stratification of the tank, a distributor was designed and installed in the middle of the storage tank vertically. The vertically designed distributor could supply the return water with stratified temperature in the storage tank with respect to the height. The water velocity from the distributor hole is the same with the other outlet in the distributor. However, gravity effect on the flow in the storage tank is much higher than that of the velocity effect due to that Froude Number is less than 1. During the heat charging process in the storage tank, temperature maintained with little difference with respect to the height. However the charging process takes long time to get a effective temperature for the heating or hot water supply because of all of water in the storage tank needs to be heated.

물 부족국가에서 활용가능한 정화조의 최적모형 개발 (Development of Optimal Septic Tank in the Countries of Water Shortages)

  • This study was carried out to evaluate the performance of a lab-scale novel septic tank system for improving the conventional septic tank in the developing countries of water shortages. The lab-scale novel septic tank system consists of sepetic tank, aeration tank with HBC-ring, and sand filter. Optimum HRT was reguired about 1.5days to get a total COD removal efficiency of 90%, COD, BOD and SS removal efficiency was about 70%, 60%, and 85% in sepetic tank only. The structure of sepetic tank with two stages results in the high removal efficiency of organic matter. When sepetic tank, aeration tank, and sand filter were more than HRT 1.5days, 18hrs, and 12hrs, respectively, final effluent was less than 20 mg/L of BOD, 14 mg/L of SS, so that there is a high potential of its use for reusing water in flush toilet. There is no significant effect of HRT change on nutrient removal. Total nitrogen removal efficiency was about 40%, final effluent was 30~40 mg/L of TN, total phosphorus removal efficiency was about 11~25%, final effluent was 9~12 mg/L of TP. Because there is very small amounts of organic nitrogen and phosphorus in effluent, it was possible to reuse water for agricultural use.

Tank 배치를 고려한 유조선의 최소 중량 설계 (Minimum Weight Design of Oil Tankers Considering Tank Arrangement)

  • 선체 중량이 최소가 되는 설계를 수행하기 위해서는 선체 중량이 최소가 되는 tank 배치의 결정이 선행되어야 하며, 결정된 tank 배치 내에서 선체 중량이 최소가 되는 구조 부재의 배치 및 치수를 결정하여야 한다. 선체 중량이 최소가 되는 tank 배치를 하기 위하여 저자들에 의해 개발된 선급 규정에 의한 종강도 부재의 최소 중량 설계 프로그램과 일반화 경사처짐법에 의한 횡강도 부재의 최소 중량 설계 프로그램을 결합하여 화물창부의 선각 중량을 구하였으며, 중량 추정 공식에 의해 횡격벽 및 선수미부 등의 중량을 구함으로서 선체 전체의 최소 중량 설계 프로그램을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서는 tank의 개수, web의 개수 및 종격벽의 위치 변화에 따른 선각 중량 변화를 알아보았으며, 실선 설계에 적용하고자 MARPOL을 만족하는 다양한 tank 배치를 결정하고 선체 전체의 최소 중량 설계를 수행하여 이들 중 선각 중량이 작게 되는 tank 배치를 구하였으며 실적선의 선각 중량과 비교 검토하였다.

피로 및 내구성을 고려한 LNG 저장탱크의 수명평가 프로그램 개발 (The Development of Life Evaluation Program for LNG Storage Tank considering Fatigue and Durability)

  • LNG 산업의 핵심시설인 LNG 저장탱크는 주로 9% 니켈강형 내조와 프리스트레스 콘크리트의 외조로 구성되어 있다. 1896년 상업운전 이후 내조의 피로와 외조의 내구성 저하로 인한 구조물 성능 열화의 위험성 증대에 선제적으로 대응할 수 있도록 수명평가 프로그램이 필요하다. 이 연구는 LNG 저장탱크의 내조에 대해 피로평가와 외조의 내구성(탄산화, 염해)을 평가할 수 있는 수명평가 프로그램을 개발하였다. 내조 탱크는 3가지의 주요 시나리오를 정의하여 구조해석과 마이너 손상법칙이 적용된 피로수명 해석이 수행된다. 외조 탱크의 탄산화 평가는 이산화탄소 함량과 침투 깊이 데이터를 이용하여 콘크리트 피복두께에 따른 탄산화 진전을 예측한다. 외조 탱크의 염해 평가는 다양한 입력조건 고려와 신뢰도 있는 결과를 도출하기 위해 공개 프로그램인 Life-365프로그램에 연계하는 방안으로 구축하였다.

  • Fuel tank design requires special care because tank explosion can cause catastrophic event with high possibility as shown in accident of TWA 800. In this study, cause of fuel tank explosion was reviewed and several design considerations to minimize explosion possibility were introduced.
