A Study on the Analysis and Improvement of Current Fire Protection Standard for Buildings (현행소방시설설치기준의 분석과 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • Fire Protection System is facilities that Control the fire by mechanic means. Buildings Over a Certain Scale is required this system. As the small from the fire extinguisher as the large to the sprinkler system of automatic fire extinguishing equipment the kinds are various. With the development of architecture technique while modern higher buildings are increased. As fire is a first product that human make, it performed many profits and services for our mankind. Sometimes as it is profitable fire or harmful fire, it takes charge of human's life culture. Therefore fire protection system is facilities that control the ]after fire by mechanic means Building over a certain scale is required this system. As the small from the fire extinguisher as the large to the sprinkler system of automatic fire extinguishing equipment, the kinds are various. With the development of architecture technique while modern Higher buildings are increased high level and fire prevent facilities aren't reached to that level. The object of this study is present the problem which appear from the analysis of place standard for fire protection facility. This study described as a following order. First. We are going to look history of the fire protection system and change course of that with the year and facility. Second, We say the frame system and special nature of the foreign fire prevent Act. Third. We understand the control reality of fire protection system. Fourth. We took out the merit of foreign fire prevent law and the problem of our current domestic system. The placing standard of proper fire protection facilities that be presented from this study are followed next. 1) We have reinforce sprinkler system placing standard for the fire extinguishing and check the spread of fire. 2) We must to be ruled the standard for keeping fire prevention system that are received reality and people's idea. 3) We should prepare lawful basis which can be place fire prevention center. 4) We have to correct the standard of use about complex building without mainuse and we take increase the real effectiveness of this. 5) We ought to match the use of current fire prevention act and the use of architecture law.

  • The potential impact of aircraft emissions on the current and projected climate of our planet is one of the more important environmental issues facing the aviation industry. Increasing concern over the potential negative effects of greenhouse gas emissions has motivated aircraft emission estimation and prediction as one of the ways to reduce aircraft emissions and mitigate the impact of aviation on climate. We obtained airline flight schedules for all the airports in Korea that are included in OAG data. Fuel burn and emission index of LTO flight which contains take off, climb and approach under 3000ft and Non LTO flight which contains climb, cruise and descent over 3000ft for all the airports in Korea in 2005 were estimated and analysed for each condition using AEIC software which has been developed by MIT Lab for Aviation and Environment.

  • Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is currently a popular research topic as a real time voice packet transmission method. But current Internet environment do not guarantee the quality of voice when we take a side view of delay, jitter and loss. Up to now, many voice based evaluation algorithms have been used to measure speech quality of VoIP systems. However, these algorithms have the defects that their results are different according to voice samples and some algorithms can not take network environment for speech transmission path. The E-model can be used to solve the problems of these algorithms. In this paper. we introduce VoIP planning guidelines through the various analysis of E-model which can model impairments of network quality as well as VoIP equipment quality systematically, We, also, show the evaluation method and results of speech transmission quality.

  • Over the past decades, changes in economic, social and demographic structures have pushed the growth of care employment across countries around the world. Women's increasing labor force participation has squeezed the time so far available for unpaid caregiving and led to increased demand for paid care services. Population aging and increasing needs for pre-school education also have contributed to the growth in demand for care services. As a result, care workers now comprise a large and growing segment of the labor force in many countries including South Korea. But, there are not a few problems. Especially, we take underpaid and undervalued care work very seriously. care work has been generally characterized as underpaid and undervalued compared with other work in developed and developing countries alike. This study tries to show current situation of care work and estimate the wage penalty for doing care work in Korea using official employment micro-data and applying propensity matching analysis. Especially, recent expansion of social service is a big step up for Korean Welfare State. But, there are not a few problems. Especially, we take underpaid and undervalued care work very seriously.   • According to the use of electric power increases, the fire which ignited by electrical causes increases too. In this thesis electrical fires which occurs in the country for the past ten years are analyzed and developed the technology to identify the electrical fire. The focus of study is method to identify the electrical fires. The causes of electrical fire, it is analyzed a short-circuit and a over current, which take the highest ratio compare with other causes. The rationalization of identification, an electrical operating status is continuous monitored and the status can be accessed, black-box for identification electrical fires. The results of the study are the causes of electrical fire are found out logically, and the developed black-box for identification fires.

Assessment on Work Environment Monitoring Program in Korea (작업환경측정 제도 운영 실태에 관한 고찰)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate work environment monitoring program(WMP) under Industrial Safety and Health Act in Korea. WMP was evaluated by focusing on five key elements, such as purpose, subject, scope, method and workers' participation. The operation status of WMP was evaluated by using questionnaire to workers and data published by Ministry of Labor(MOL). Compliance rate of WMP was less 13 % in manufacturing workplaces. Over-exposure rate was steady state by annual trend. The degree of workers' satisfaction to WMP was just 24 %. A critical problem with the current WMP is that the employer and workers are not acting as main players. For a fundamental improvement in working condition to take place, participation of workers should be expanded and be guaranteed by law.

  • This study used a slightly modified version of contingent valuation questionnaire designed and developed by Krupnick et al.(2000) to estimate the value of mortality risk reduction for environmental policy. Because that environmental policy, especially air pollution policy with some latency main effect on mortality risk reduction of old people with some latency period, respondents were asked about their current WTP for 5/1,000 mortality risk reduction being to take place beginning at 70 over the course of ten years. The annual mean WTP is 233,370 won (standard error 32,570 won) in spike/continuous/interval data model. The implied VSL is 466 million won. The 95% confidence interval is 339 million won~594 million won.

  • Even though we have greater chances to accomplish successful collaborative design by utilizing recent proliferation of networks, current practices do not fully take advantage of the information infrastructure. There are so much data over the networks, but not enough knowledge about the data is available to users. The main objectives of the product data interface system proposed in this paper are to capture more knowledge on managing product data and to provide users effective search capability. We define the metadata model for product data defined in STEP AP 203 and manage the metadata from product data in a repository system. Because we utilize the standard formats such as STEP for product data and RDF for metadata, the proposed approach can be applied to various fields of industries independently on commercial products.

  • This lecture will begin by tracing some of the history behind techniques that we nowadays take for granted in the practice of embryo transfer, and in the application of the technique to various animal biotechnologies. It will be argued that an appreciation of such history can teach us a great deal about how we need to study and teach the subject, and about the best ways to conduct and finance the research that is essential to further progress. Examples in support of this argument will be taken from the changes that have occurred in the way embryos, particularly bovine embryos, have been collected, maintained in vitro, subjected to a variety of manipulations (sexing, division to produce identical animals, combination into chimeras, transfection with foreign genes), frozen and thawed, and transferred over the past 50 years.
