AoIP/UDP 기반 오디오 통신의 다중 채널 Low-Latency 구현 (Low-Latency Implementation of Multi-channel in AoIP/UDP-based Audio Communication)

  • 화재 재난방송 시스템에서는 아날로그, 디지털, 네트워크 디지털 전관 방송 시스템으로 나뉘며, 네트워크 디지털 전광 방송 시스템에서 중요한 사양은 낮은 대기 시간(Low-latency), 높은 샘플링 레이트, 다채널 입출력이다. 기존에 데이터링크 층의 MAC 주소 기반으로 구별하는 AoE(Audio over Ethernet) 방법을 널리 사용하고 있다. 그러나 이 방법은 복잡성과 비용이 증가하는 문제가 있다. 이에 본 제안은 AoIP(Audio over Internet Protocol)/UDP 방식으로 별도의 중복적인 네트워크가 필요 없이 IP(Internet Protocol) 주소로 손쉽게 구별하는 통신을 할 수 있어 네트워크를 자유롭게 사용 구성하고 복잡도를 낮추어 비용을 낮출 수 있도록 제안한다. AoIP/UDP 방식으로 구현 후 실험결과 2.66ms 대기 시간 성능으로 동등한 성능으로 비용의 개선함을 보였다.

교류 리플이 21700 리튬 이온 배터리의 전기적 건강 상태 열화에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis of the Effect of Alternating Current Ripple on Electrical State of Health Degradation of 21700 Lithium-ion Battery)

  • 본 논문에서는 AC 리플이 리튬 이온 배터리의 수명에 미치는 영향을 실험적으로 분석한다. 에너지 저장 시스템(ESS)의 이용 효율을 높이기 위해 양방향 전력변환시스템(PCS)이 사용되며, 계통 연계 시 구조상 계통 주파수의 2배의 주파수를 갖는 전류 리플이 배터리에 인가되게 된다. 따라서, AC 리플이 Li-ion 배터리의 노화에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하기 위해 DC 및 DC+AC 리플 사양의 충/방전 프로파일을 적용하여 노화 실험이 수행되었다. 실험 결과를 바탕으로 직류 내부 저항(DCIR), 증분 용량(IC), 표면 온도를 분석하였다. 결과적으로 AC 리플이 노화에 직접적으로 영향을 미치지 않으며 특정 주기 이 후 배터리 노화가 둔화되는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 AC 리플이 발생하는 어플리케이션에서 전류 리플을 줄이기 위해 적용된 필터를 개선하는 데 도움이 될 수 있다.

유한요소해석을 통한 중량물 이동대차 시저스붐의 구조 및 강도 해석 (Structure and Strength Analysis of Scissors Boom of Heavy Load Transporter through Finite Element Analysis)

  • Special equipment used for snow removal is only used in the winter and must be moved into storage during non-winter seasons. However, when moving heavy equipment using a forklift within a limited space, safety accidents may occur due to deformation and damage due to the worker's limited visibility and excessive loading of heavy objects. In this study, the scissors boom of the developed heavy load transporter was conducted in two cases: link structural analysis and position-based structural analysis. In detail, the link structural analysis covers four cases of stress and safety factor according to material and thickness to optimize the specifications of the material selected during development, and the structural analysis according to position covers two cases before and after the lift, when maximum stress concentration is achieved. Safety was evaluated through finite element analysis. As a result of the study, when manufacturing a scissors boom type heavy load transporter that can withstand a load of 10 tons, the link showed safety at SS400 4.5mm or higher, and reinforcement is needed in the upper and lower structures, so it is judged to be useful in applying materials according to the load.

건설 작업자의 공종별 안전조끼 프로토타입 제안 (Suggestion of Safety Vest Prototype according to Work Type for Construction Workers)

  • 본 연구에서는 작업자의 안전을 확보하기 위하여, 건설 현장의 안전조끼 색채에 대한 문제점을 고찰하였다. 먼셀표색계와 색채분석 프로그램을 이용하여 건설 작업종류에 따른 작업용 안전조끼의 프로토타입을 제시하였다. 현장 작업환경의 전체적인 색채와 대비되는 안전조끼를 착용하면, 작업자들을 직관적으로 구별이 가능하고 시인성이 높아져서 안전사고의 발생을 감소시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 철근배근 작업, 유로폼 거푸집 작업, 갱폼 거푸집 작업, 철골 세우기 작업자의 안전조끼의 색(색상, 명도, 채도)은 철근배근 작업자용 조끼는 10GY, 8, 8 유로폼 8.75B, 7, 8 갱폼 3.75B, 2, 4 철골 세우기 6.25BG, 5, 10이 적절한 것으로 나타났다. 각 공종별 작업자에 대한 안전조끼의 프로토타입에 대한 전문가의 의견은 철근공사와 철골공사 작업 관련 안전조끼 색에 대해서는 90% 이상의 매우 긍정적인 것으로 나타나 제시된 안이 적절한 것으로 판단된다.

수송류 항공기용 금속계 제동패드의 다이나모시험 절차 (Dynamometer Test Procedure of Metal Brake Pad for Part 25 Aircraft)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 및 미국의 항공기 기술기준과 기술표준품 표준서를 분석하여 수송류 항공기용 금속계 제동패드의 비행시험 인증을 위한 합치성 증명 시 요구되는 다이나모시험절차를 도출하였다. 제동장치의 설계개조는 중대한 변경으로 분류되어 부가형식증명 및 부품등제작증명이 동시에 요구된다. 다이나모시험 항목은 미국의 제동장치 기술표준품 표준서인 TSO-C135a 규정에 따라 비행시험의 적합성을 판단하는 기준으로 비행시험 시 요구되는 주요 시험항목 중 설계착륙-정지 시험, 가속-정지 시험 및 최대 하중상태의 착륙-정지 시험을 선정하였다. 다이나모시험 조건은 항공기 제조사가 제공하는 주요 사양에 따라 정해지며, 제동패드의 조건, 감속도 및 시험횟수 등은 TSO-C135a 규정에 따라 정의하였다.

현무암섬유를 이용한 LNG 화물창 2차 방벽의 기계적 특성에 대한 연구 (Effects of Basalt Fiber on the Mechanical Properties of Secondary Barrier for LNG Cargo Containment System)

  • Recently, with the strengthening of environmental regulations, there has been an increasing interest in eco-friendly energy sources, leading to a trend of the increasing scale of Cargo Containment Systems (CCS) for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carriers. Among these systems, membrane tanks have gained popularity in LNG transport vessels due to their superior spatial utilization and competitiveness. However, due to high initial investment costs and the difficulty in repair in case of damage, a safety layer, the secondary barrier, must be installed without fail. In this study, in order to apply a new secondary barrier to the existing membrane-type LNG CCS, tests were conducted on the fiberglass layer previously used in the Triplex-Flexible Secondary Barrier (FSB), substituting it with basalt fiber. Tensile and vertical tensile tests were performed to assess the newly applied material. Environmental tests were conducted at room temperature (25℃) and extremely low temperatures (-170℃), considering the temperatures to which substances may be exposed during LNG vessel operations. The basalt-FSB produced in this study demonstrated superior results compared to the specifications of the existing product, confirming its potential applicability for implementation.

선박 추진용 저압 전동기에 대한 2레벨 및 3레벨 인버터의 직접토크제어 비교 (Comparison of DTC between two-level and three-level inverters for LV propulsion electric motor in ship)

  • In compliance with environmental regulations at sea and the introduction of unmanned autonomous ships, electric propulsion ships are garnering significant attention. Induction machines used as propulsion electric motor (PEM) have maintenance advantages, but speed control is very complicated and difficult. One of the most commonly used techniques for speed control is DTC (direct torque control). DTC is simple in the reference frame transformation and the stator flux calculation. Meanwhile, two-level and three-level voltage source inverters (VSI) are predominantly used. The three-level VSI has more flexibility in voltage space vector selection compared to the two-level VSI. In this paper, speed is controlled using the DTC method based on the specifications of the PEM. The speed controller employs a PI controller with anti-windup functionality. In addition, the characteristics of the two-level VSI and three-level VSI are compared under identical conditions. It was confirmed through simulation that proper control of speed and torque has been achieved. In particular, the torque ripple was small and control was possible with a low DC voltage at low speed in the three-level VSI. The study confirmed that the application of DTC, using a three-level VSI, contributes to enhancing the system's response performance.

Sustainable animal agriculture in the United States and the implication in Republic of Korea

  • Agriculture has played a significant role in the national economy, contributing to food security, driving economic growth, and safeguarding the dietary habits of the population. Korean agriculture has been compelled to focus on intensive farming due to its limited cultivation area, excessive input costs, and the limitations of agricultural mechanization. In the Republic of Korea (R.O.K), the concept of environmentally friendly animal agriculture began to be introduced in the early 2000s. This concept ultimately aims to cultivate sustainable animal agriculture (SAA) through environmentally friendly production practices, ensuring the healthy rearing of animals to supply safe animal products. Despite the government's efforts, there are still significant challenges in implementing environmentally friendly agriculture and SAA in the R.O.K. Therefore, the objective of this review is to establish the direction that the animal agriculture sector should take in the era of climate crisis, and to develop effective strategies for SAA tailored to the current situation in the R.O.K by examining the trends in SAA in the U.S. The animal agriculture sector in the U.S. has been working towards creating a SAA system where humans, animals, and the environment can coexist through government initiatives, industry research, technological support, and individual efforts. Efforts have been made to reduce emissions like carbon, and improve factors affecting the environment such as the carbon footprint, odor, and greenhouse gases associated with animal agriculture processes for animals such as cattle and pigs. The transition of the U.S. towards SAA appears to be driven by both external goals related to addressing climate change and the primary objectives of responding to the demand for safe animal products, expanding consumption, and securing competitiveness in overseas export markets. The demand for animal welfare, organic animal products, and processed goods has been increasing in the U.S. consumer market. A major factor in the transformation of the U.S. animal agriculture sector in terms of livestock specifications is attributed to environmentally friendly practices such as high-quality feed, heat stress reduction, improvements in reproductive ability and growth period reduction, and efforts in animal genetic enhancement.

칼만 필터가 적용된 카메라 센서를 이용한 타 선박과의 충돌 예방 (Prevention of Collision with Other Vessels Using Camera Sensors with Kalman Filter)

  • 본 논문에서는 해상상태 환경에 따른 카메라 센서 인식의 오차를 제어하고 보정 하기 위해 칼만 필터를 적용한 방법을 제시한다. 먼저, 함정의 제원을 기술하여 롤링에 따른 오차 정도를 측정하였다. 모델로 선택한 함정인 PKMR-211을 통해 시뮬레이션에 필요한 수면으로부터 현등까지 거리를 제시한 후, 피드백 제어 시스템에서 카메라 오차값을 변수로 삼아 오차 보정을 수행하였다. 실험에서는 함정의 롤링 정도를 각도로 나타내는 변수인 𝛼, 𝛽로 표기하고, 거리에 따른 각도 변화를 비교하였다. 해상 상태 3의 상황에서 칼만 필터를 적용하기 전과 후의 오차를 비교했을 때, 거리와 무관하게 적색등에서는 +1.5556°에서 -1.1544°까지 줄어들었고, 녹색등에서도 동일한 결과를 확인하였다. 이를 통해, 해상 환경에 따른 함정의 움직임을 고려하여 계산을 수행하고, 오차 보정 이후 함정의 향후 기동 안정성을 제시하였다.

정보시스템의 실제 이용에 대한 연구: 모바일 서비스 시스템 품질을 중심으로 (A Study on Actual Usage of Information Systems: Focusing on System Quality of Mobile Service)

  • Information systems (IS) have become ubiquitous and changed every aspect of how people live their lives. While some IS have been successfully adopted and widely used, others have failed to be adopted and crowded out in spite of remarkable progress in technologies. Both the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the IS Success Model (ISSM), among many others, have contributed to explain the reasons of success as well as failure in IS adoption and usage. While the TAM suggests that intention to use and perceived usefulness lead to actual IS usage, the ISSM indicates that information quality, system quality, and service quality affect IS usage and user satisfaction. Upon literature review, however, we found a significant void in theoretical development and its applications that employ either of the two models, and we raise research questions. First of all, in spite of the causal relationship between intention to use and actual usage, in most previous studies, only intention to use was employed as a dependent variable without overt explaining its relationship with actual usage. Moreover, even in a few studies that employed actual IS usage as a dependent variable, the degree of actual usage was measured based on users' perceptual responses to survey questionnaires. However, the measurement of actual usage based on survey responses might not be 'actual' usage in a strict sense that responders' perception may be distorted due to their selective perceptions or stereotypes. By the same token, the degree of system quality that IS users perceive might not be 'real' quality as well. This study seeks to fill this void by measuring the variables of actual usage and system quality using 'fact' data such as system logs and specifications of users' information and communications technology (ICT) devices. More specifically, we propose an integrated research model that bring together the TAM and the ISSM. The integrated model is composed of both the variables that are to be measured using fact as well as survey data. By employing the integrated model, we expect to reveal the difference between real and perceived degree of system quality, and to investigate the relationship between the perception-based measure of intention to use and the fact-based measure of actual usage. Furthermore, we also aim to add empirical findings on the general research question: what factors influence actual IS usage and how? In order to address the research question and to examine the research model, we selected a mobile campus application (MCA). We collected both fact data and survey data. For fact data, we retrieved them from the system logs such information as menu usage counts, user's device performance, display size, and operating system revision version number. At the same time, we conducted a survey among university students who use an MCA, and collected 180 valid responses. A partial least square (PLS) method was employed to validate our research model. Among nine hypotheses developed, we found five were supported while four were not. In detail, the relationships between (1) perceived system quality and perceived usefulness, (2) perceived system quality and perceived intention to use, (3) perceived usefulness and perceived intention to use, (4) quality of device platform and actual IS usage, and (5) perceived intention to use and actual IS usage were found to be significant. In comparison, the relationships between (1) quality of device platform and perceived system quality, (2) quality of device platform and perceived usefulness, (3) quality of device platform and perceived intention to use, and (4) perceived system quality and actual IS usage were not significant. The results of the study reveal notable differences from those of previous studies. First, although perceived intention to use shows a positive effect on actual IS usage, its explanatory power is very weak ($R^2$=0.064). Second, fact-based system quality (quality of user's device platform) shows a direct impact on actual IS usage without the mediating role of intention to use. Lastly, the relationships between perceived system quality (perception-based system quality) and other constructs show completely different results from those between quality of device platform (fact-based system quality) and other constructs. In the post-hoc analysis, IS users' past behavior was additionally included in the research model to further investigate the cause of such a low explanatory power of actual IS usage. The results show that past IS usage has a strong positive effect on current IS usage while intention to use does not have, implying that IS usage has already become a habitual behavior. This study provides the following several implications. First, we verify that fact-based data (i.e., system logs of real usage records) are more likely to reflect IS users' actual usage than perception-based data. In addition, by identifying the direct impact of quality of device platform on actual IS usage (without any mediating roles of attitude or intention), this study triggers further research on other potential factors that may directly influence actual IS usage. Furthermore, the results of the study provide practical strategic implications that organizations equipped with high-quality systems may directly expect high level of system usage.
