This study was conducted to get reasonable and abundant hydrological time series of monthly flows simulated by a best fitting stochastic simulation model for the establishment of rational design and the rationalization of management for agricultural hydraulic structures including reservoirs. Comparative analysis carried out for both statistical characteristics and synthetic monthly flows simulated by the multi-season first order Markov model based on Gamma distribution which is confirmed as good one in the first report of this study and by Harmonic synthetic model analyzed in this report for the six watersheds of Yeong San and Seom Jin river systems. 1.Arithmetic mean values of synthetic monthly flows simulated by Gamma distribution are much closer to the results of the observed data than those of Harmonic synthetic model in the applied watersheds. 2.In comparison with the coefficients of variation, index of fluctuation for monthly flows simulated by two kinds of synthetic models, those based on Gamma distribution are appeared closer to the observed data than those of Harmonic synthetic model both in Yeong San and Seom Jin river systems. 3.It was found that synthetic monthly flows based on Gamma distribution are considered to give better results than those of Harmonic synthetic model in the applied watersheds. 4.Continuation studies by comparison with other simulation techniques are to be desired for getting reasonable generation technique of synthetic monthly flows for the various river systems in Korea.
Design of experiments (DoE) concept was successfully applied to determine the optimum processing conditions that yield maximum % exhaustion for berberine interaction with synthetic tanning agent pretreated polyamide substrates. The potential of synthetic tanning agent to provide anionic sites on the polyamide for berberine interaction which is cationic in nature was tested to increase the % exhaustion of berberine in this article. Experiments were designed according to Central Composite Rotatable Design (CCRD). The three factors for synthetic tanning agent pretreatment and two factors for berberine interaction each at five different levels, including central and axial points were considered. Experiments were conducted in a laboratory scale infra-red treatment instrument according to CCRD. For each response, second order polynomial models were developed using multiple linear regression analysis incorporating linear, interactions and squared effects of all variables and then optimized. The significance of the mathematical model developed was ascertained using Excel regression (solver) analysis module. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed to check the adequacy and accuracy of the fitted models. The response surfaces and contour maps showing the interaction of process variables were constructed. Applying Monte Carlo simulation, response surface and contour plots, optimum operating conditions were found and at this optimum point, % exhaustion of 81% and 74% respectively for synthetic tanning agent pretreatment and berberine interaction were observed and subsequently the results were experimentally investigated.
Synthetic aperture sonars as well as side scan sonars or multibeam echo sounders have been commercialized and are widely used for seafloor imaging. In Korea related research such as the development of a towed synthetic aperture sonar system is underway. In order to obtain high-resolution synthetic aperture sonar images, it is necessary to accurately estimate the platform motion on which it is installed, and a precise underwater navigation system is required. In this paper we are going to provide reference data for determining the required navigation accuracy and precision of navigation sensors by quantitatively analyzing how much distortion of the sonar images occurs according to motion characteristics of the platform equipped with the synthetic aperture sonar. Five types of motions are considered and normalized root mean square error is defined for quantitative analysis. Simulation for error analysis with parameter variation of motion characteristics results in that yaw and sway motion causes the largest image distortion whereas the effect of pitch and heave motion is not significant.
In this paper, there is a research for providing environmental data to reflect environmental effects to the simulation for the aviation weapon systems by the construction of the synthetic battlefield. The results of the aviation engagement simulation are able to differ by environmental effect. This paper analyzes the real aviation battlefield and designs the synthetic battlefield based on the analysis. In order to construct the designed synthetic battlefield, we collects the real environmental data for the atmosphere and structures the collected data using GIS (Geographic information system interpolation). The main objective of this paper is to design the synthetic battlefield based on the derived environmental factors from the analysis of the real aviation battlefield, and it constructs the designed synthetic battlefield by the collection of real atmosphere data. The constructed synthetic battlefield provides the environmental data which are requested from the distributed simulation system, and it makes the system reflect environmental effects to the simulation.
Alkylbenzenes used as the synthetic lubricant base stocks were composed of the mixture of the various kinds of aromatic hydrocarbons. Their compositions have affected on the quality of synthetic alkylbenzene lubricants. Therefore, the rapid and accurate methods for the composit ional analysis are important. In this study, the compositions of the alkylbenzenes (Hv. LAB, FHv. LAB, Hv, BAB, DAB[HF], DAB[$AlCl_3$]) as synthetic base stocks have been investigated according to six average structural parameters(Tar, Nal, Asub, $\bar{n}$, nb, $T\alpha$) in the view of the molecular structures by $^{13}C-NMR$ spectroscopy. The experimental results of the oxidation $\varepsilon$ thermal stability tests have been related to the results of the molecular structural analysis.

A synthetic gas reformed from hydrocarbon-based fuels consists of $H_2$, CO and $N_2$. Hydrogen contained in the synthetic gas is a very useful species in chemical processes, due to its wide flammability range and fast burning speed. The ESGI (Exhaust Synthetic Gas Injection) technology is developed to shorten the light-off time of three way catalysts through combustion of the synthetic gas in the exhaust manifold during the cold start period of SI engines. Before the ESGI technology is applied to the test engine, the authors set a test rig that consists of gas temperature and composition controllers, an exhaust pulse generator and an exhaust manifold with a visualization window, in order to optimize the point and conditions of injection of the synthetic gas. Through measuring burned gas temperatures and taking photographs of synthetic gas combustion at the outlet of the exhaust manifold, the authors tried to find the optimal injection point and conditions. Analysis of burned gas composition has been performed for various $O_2$ concentrations. As a result, when the synthetic gas is injected at the port outlet of the cylinder No. 4 and $O_2$ concentration exceeds 4%, combustion of the synthetic gas is strong and effective in the exhaust manifold.
Followings are the analysis of the two areas'costumes, the Renaissance and Baroque, as the analytic and synthetic structures. From the analytic structure of the costumes, the analytic body and of the Renaissant man's outer garments is manteau, pourpoint, trousses, bas du chausses, and codpiece of the hat is toque. And the analyic body of the Baroque, man's costume is pourpoint and rhingrave, of the under garments is chemise, of the hat is felt, of the shoes is shoes. In the analytic structure of woman's costume, the analytic body of the Renaissant outer garments is robe, of the under garments is corps-pique, chemise, and vertugadin, of the hat is french hood. And the analytic body of the Baroque outer garments is skirt and overdress, of the undergarments is corps-baleine. The results we have got from the analysis of the synthetic structures of the costumes is that other analytic elements are chosen and united as the component features of the major analytic elements among the analytic elements in the tables of 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, and 3-4. If we compare the two analytic bodies of the two areas, we can see that the names of the costumes were changed and the component features about the names were changed according to an area, too. And we can see the synthetic structures were changed according to the analytic body in the analytic structures were changed according to the analytic body in the analytic structures with the synthetic structures.
In this paper, the analysis results of synthetic resonance characteristics are described for the electrohydraulic thrust vector control actuation system. The synthetic resonance is induced by integration of position servo actuation system on the flexible launch vehicle mounting structure. The new resonance mode is synthesized due to composition of hydraulic resonance for electrohydraulic position servo system with inertia load condition and structural resonance for flexible mounting structure. This synthetic resonance can make stability of control system worse by feedback and amplification of control system. The exact nonlinear analysis model of this phenomenon is developed to predict and design a control algorithm for improvement characteristics. The DPF (Dynamic Pressure Feedback) control algorithm has been designed and has excellent resonance suppression capability.
The effects of packing materials in the anaerobic reactor and inorganic chemicals in the synthetic wastewater on the anaerobic treatment during the start up period were investigated using anaeroic filter process. The Ringlace and Honeycomb tube as packing materials were used in the anaerobic reactors. The Ca$^{2+}$ and Fe$^{2+}$ ion concentration as inorganic chemicals contained higher 40 times and 100 times as compared to the control synthetic wastewater, respectively. A start up period 104 and 150 days were necessary to achieve loading rate of 0.37 and 0.74 kg-Toc/m$^3$.d in the anaerobic filter process packed by Ringlace and Honeycomb tube, respectively. The loading rates of the reactor using the synthetic wastewater containing Ca$^{2+}$ (40 times) could be increased faster than in the reactors using the synthetic wastewater containing Fe$^{2+}$ ion (100 times) and control synthetic wastewater. The results of XMA analysis that a lot of the Ca$^{2+}$ ion on the surface of the anaerobic sludge in the anaerobic reactor packed by Ringlace which were fed supplied with synthetic wastewater containing Ca$^{2+}$ ion (40 times) observed as compared to the reactors supplied with control synthetic wastewater and containing Fe$^{2+}$ ion (100 times).
The synthetic behaviors of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) by Fe/MgO catalysts were investigated in 0~90 wt.% range of MgO mixture ratios by catalytic chemical vapor deposition (CCVD) process. The CNTs were synthesized with 40 minutes of synthetic time, and 923 K of synthetic temperature using 0.1 L/min of ethylene gas and 1.0 L/min of hydrogen gas as synthetic and carrier gas, respectively. As the increase of synthetic temperatures and times, the diameters of CNTs become thicker. The carbon yield showed in a parabolic curve as MgO content increased and the maximum carbon yield was obtained at 30 wt.% of MgO. There were no obvious changes in the diameters of CNTs respect to the change of MgO content. Fe/MgO CNTs showed good crystalinity by High Resolution Transmission Electron microscope (HR-TEM) analysis. The behaviors of Fe/MgO CNTs have a tendency of depending on synthetic time and temperature rather than MgO content.
