In many fields, Kansei engineering, often called Human Sensibility Ergonomics, has been applied to the product development for customer's satisfaction. Also, it may use to a lot of products and environments related to human's convenient life. If the measurement and the validation of human sensibility are accomplished subjectively and qualitatively, then a good design is expected. This paper considers an application of one of the Kansei engineering's techniques, extraction and categorization of the sensory words, to the products of mobile telecommunication units. First, 1st sensory words were extracted from Korean dictionary, catalogues, pamphlets, etc. Second, 2nd sensory words were extracted from the questionnaires, elimination of synonym, advise of expert, etc. Third, final sensory words were extracted from questionnaires, etc. Fourth, ask to answer the questionnaires with the extracted words in the five-grade semantic differential. Finally, The factor analysis is used to categorize the extracted sensory words, and shows that the words can be grouped into some categories.

Morgagni hernia is a rare condition of the congenital diaphragmatic hernia which Is located at the anteromedial portion of the diaphragm, and is located immediately posterior to the sternum. Its cause is considered by embryologic defect and the abdominal organs are passed through a defect. The incidence is predirected women over 50 years old. Its synonym is hernia of subcostosternal, retrosternal, parasternal, rectocostoxiphoid, anterior diaphragmatic or Larrey`s. This report presents a symptomatic Morgagni hernia of ten months old male child on whom the diagnosis was established and was operated at the Busan Gospel Hospital. This patient was admitted with the chief complaints of mild cyanosis, frequent upper respiratory infections and protrusion of the right lower anterior chest. Herniorrhaphy was performed through the upper abdominal midline incision, hernial contents of the omentum and the colon, and sac as noticed from the Larrey`s space measuring 4 x 2 cm. in diameter and oval in shape. Interrupted sutures without difficulty repaired the defect. The cyanosis was disappeared and the patient had uneventful course of post-operative period. The patient was discharged at 7th. postoperative day. This case presentation with a brief review of literatures is given.

The aim of the present research program was to isolate a strain of actinomycetes producing antifungal substance. Soil samples were collected from various sites in Korea and a number of actinomycetes were isolated from the soil samples by applying selective agar for actinomycetes. Among isolates, a strain (NA -52) producing antifungal substance against Pyricularia oryzae was selected. Chemotaxonomic and numerical identification were carried out for the isolate. Fifty taxonomic unit characters were tested and the data were analyzed numerically using TAXON program. The isolate was identified as a synonym of streptomyces diastaticus belong to cluster No. 19 (Streptomyces diastaticus). But it showed a low similarity to S. diastaticus in simple matching coefficients, hence it was considered as one new species in Streptomyces.

The demand for complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is increasing worldwide. High-technology medicine is not always effective and is often accompanied by neglected self-care and high cost. Also, conventional medicine has become dependent on expensive technological solutions to health problems. Integrated medicine is not simply a synonym for complementary medicine. It involves the understanding of the interaction of the mind, body, and spirit and how to interpret this relationship in the dynamics of health and disease. Integrative medicine shifts the orientation of the medical practice from a disease-based approach to a healing-based approach. In South Korea, CAM education was first provided 20 years ago, and integrative medicine is becoming part of the current mainstream medicine. Increasing numbers of fellowships in integrative medicine are being offered in many academic health centers in the U.S. Also, it has emerged as a potential solution to the American healthcare crisis and chronic diseases, which are bankrupting the economy. It provides care that is patient-centered, healing-oriented, emphasizes the therapeutic relationship, and uses therapeutic approaches originating from conventional and alternative medicine.

For the construction of thesaurus, a thesaurus management system is needed which can process dynamic variations fast and exactly such as input. correction and deletion of words, and definition of new relationship between words. In this paper, I developed a thesaurus management system based on the object-oriented technique and GUI(graphic user interface) screen, and to enhance the effectiveness of information retrieval. I put emphasis on the expansion of synonym, English and Korean words containing the same concept.

기존의 문서분류는 학습문서에 출현하는 자질에 대해 가중치를 계산하여 그 순위에 따라 상위 자질로 구성된 지식베이스를 사용하였다. 그리고 새로운 문서가 들어왔을 때 자질 지식베이스를 근거로 새 문서를 색인하였다. 결국 자질 지식베이스와 정확히 일치하지 않는 키워드는 색인대상에서 제외되는 문제가 있었다. 본 고에서는 이 문제를 해결하기 위하여 분류될 문서의 특징을 나타내는 범주별 자질과 유사한의미를 가지나 형태가 변형되어 기술된 단어에 대하여 유사어 사전을 구축하였으며 이를 통해 새로운 문서가 범주에 할당될 가능성을 높여 자동 문서 범주화 시스템의 성능을 향상시키고자 한다.

본 연구에서는 온라인 다중 사용자 환경의 eBook annotation 시스템 개발에서 데이터를 의미 기반으로 관리하고, 데이터에 대하여 상호 공통적인 이해를 표현하며, 그리고 데이터에 대한 무결성 검사 등을 지원하기 위해서 eBook annotation 온톨로지를 설계하였다. eBook annotation 데이터에 대한 상호 공통적인 이해의 표현을 위해서 한국 전자책 문서 표준인 EBKS(Electronic Book of Korea Standard)를 기반으로 설계 하였으며 설계 된 온톨로지는 Conceptual Graph(CG)를 사용하여 표현하였다. 의미 기반의 처리를 위해서 본 온톨로지에서는 동의어(synonym) 관계와 다국어(multilingua) 관계를 고려하였으며 또한 annotation 데이터 생성시 오류 방지와 중요도를 표현 하기 위해서 무결성 검사, 중요성 axiom을 고려 했다. 제안된 온톨로지는 annotation 데이터의 재사용성을 높일 수 있고 의미 정보를 활용함으로써 eLearning, cyberclass과 같은 다중사용자 환경에서 효과적인 협업을 가능하게 한다. 본 연구에서 구현한 eBook annotation 시스템은 설계한 온톨로지를 이용함으로써 의미 기반의 데이터 관리가 가능하다. 또한 annotation 생성 시 온톨로지 구조를 모르더라도 annotation을 생성할 수 있는 인터페이스를 구현하였다.

In this study, genus Cosmarium, 3 species, 2 varieties, 1 forma were sampled at 14 stations from August 1987 to July 1988. The character variations in populations were studied from the cultured plants. As a result, 1 species, 1 variety and 1 forma were treated as synonyms according to the polymorphism found at the same colony. C. angulosum f. rotundatum was different from C. angulosum by the front view, but C. angulosum type and C. angulosum f. rotundatum type occurred simultaneously in the same colony. C. angulosum f. rotundatum was included in C. angulosum which is type species. c. auriculatum, C. subauriculatum and C. subauriculatum var. truncatum have been sorted by the shape of cell and the number of granules at the lower sides of semicell. For three types occurred at the same colony, those species and variety treated as synonym of C. auriculatum which was named first.

Objective We wish that oriental medicine theses can now be searched for by computer. So we have studied thesaurus and keywords in OMIS(Oriental Medicine Information System) Methodologies We have compared the keyword with the Thesaurus in the OMIS. So We have analyzed those into the agreement rate and the disagreement rate. Repeatedly, we have analyzed the agreement rate and the disagreement rate in chronological order. Conclusions 1. As the most of authors don't know about thesaurus, So many keywords disagree with thesaurus. 2. Because thesaurus system is very difficult to general authors. So system administors must build synonym data base, if many authors easily use thesaurus system. 3. We have to require institute editor to modify editorial policy. Presently most of institute require only one foreign language keywords, but it must be required foreign and Korean language keywords. 4. We must study not only oriental medicine thesaurus but also the other science thesaurus.
