현재 초고속 통신망의 발전과 하드웨어의 발전으로 인하여 많은 멀티미디어 콘텐츠들이 인터넷상에서 아주 빠른 속도로 퍼지고 있다. 이러한 환경 때문에 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 제작 환경이 발전하고 있으며, 멀티미디어 콘텐츠들이 늘어나고 있다. 그러나 수많은 음성, 화상, 텍스트등과 같은 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 시간과 공간적 동기화의 문제가 발생하기 시작하였다. 그래서 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 W3C(World Wide Web Consortium) 에서는 다양한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 표현을 구성할 수 있는 XML(Extensible Markup Language)에 기반을 둔 SMIL(Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language)이 표준으로 제안되었다. SMIL은 일련의 개별적 멀티미디어 객체를 시간과 공간적으로 동기화된 멀티미디어 표현으로 통합 할 수 있도록 한다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 시간과 공간적인 동기화 하고, 통합하여 표현할 수 있도록 SMIL 저작 시스템을 설계 및 구현 하였다.

M&A (Merger and Acquisitions) is a standard corporate strategy frequently used by companies seeking to secure new growth engines and gain a solid foothold in their markets in order to become more globally competitive. To achieve the original goals of M&A, the two involved parties need to invest significant time and resources in integrating all aspects of the companies. A well-planned post-merger integration of information technology (IT PMI) by the two M&A parties is considered a crucial and difficult process because IT provides a fundamental infrastructure for integration. Considering various internal and external factors, the two parties normally formulate an IT PMI strategy. The many IT PMI strategies can be categorized into four major types: Renewal, Takeover, Standardization, and Synchronization. This study aims to develop a decision making model to help merger company and IT managers select the proper IT PMI strategy. More specifically, we identify key determinants that need to be considered when selecting a proper IT PMI strategy. The relative importance of each determinant is defined by analytic hierarchy process (AHP) analysis. Finally, this study evaluates each IT integration strategy under the identified determinants.

This paper proposes a medium access control (MAC) protocol for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) ad-hoc networks. Multiple-packet receptions in MIMO systems have attracted as a key technique to achieve a high transmission rate. In the conventional protocols for multiple-packet receptions, timing offsets among multiple-frame transmissions cause frame collisions induced by hidden nodes, which degrades network performance. In the proposed protocol, transmission synchronization among hidden nodes can be achieved by applying pulse/tone exchanges. By applying the pulse/tone exchanges, multiple-packet receptions among hidden nodes can be achieved, which enhances network throughputs compared with the conventional protocol. Simulation results show effectiveness of the proposed protocol.

Probabilistic modeling and analysis of correlation metrics have been receiving considerable interest for a long period of time because they can be used to evaluate the performance of communication receivers, including satellite broadcasting receivers. Although differential correlators have a simple structure and practical importance over channels with severe frequency offsets, closedform expressions for the output distribution of differential correlators do not exist. In this paper, we present detection error probability expressions for frame synchronization using differential correlation, and demonstrate their accuracy over channel parameters of practical interest. The derived formulas are presented in terms of the Marcum Q-function, and do not involve numerical integration, unlike the formulas derived in some previous studies. We first determine the distributions and error probabilities for single-span differential correlation metric, and then extend the result to multispan differential correlation metric with certain approximations. The results can be used for the performance analysis of various detection strategies that utilize the differential correlation structure.

The design of Graphic Information System(GIS) in various applications is suffering from the difficulty of data acquisition, which is labor-intensive and time consuming. In order to provide the spatial data rapidly and accurately, 4S-Van, a prototype mobile mapping system, has been developed. The 4S-Van consists of 1)Global Positioning System(GPS), Inertial Navigation System(INS) for estimating the geographic position and attitude of the moving van, i.e.,(x, y, z) and the direction of the Van, 2) Charge Coupled Device(CCD) camera and laser scanner for capturing images and for measuring depth from geographic objects, and 3) External Synchronization Device(ESD) and industrial PC for synchronizing data from GPS/INS/CCD camera and for storing the data. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of the proto-Dpe 4S-Van system for spatial data acquisition for various GIS applications.

본 논문에서는 스마트 팩토리 구축을 위한 프로토콜을 제안한다. 제안하는 스마트 팩토리 구축을 위한 프로토콜은 OPC UA Server/Client, TSN 실시간 통신 기술, NTP & PTP 시간 동기화 프로토콜, 필드버스(Field Bus) 프로토콜 및 컨버젼 모듈, 데이터 전송지연에 대한 저장기술 및 동기화 프로토콜로 구성된다. OPC UA Server/Client 는 산업용 하드웨어 디바이스와 인터페이스 하기 위한 시스템 통합 프로토콜로써 플랫폼에 의존적이지 않고 다방면에서 사용할 수 있는 표준을 지원한다. TSN 실시간 통신 기술은 고속 네트워크 환경에서 디바이스들 간 정확한 시간을 공유함으로써 생산라인 등의 정밀한 시간관리 및 제어기술을 제공한다. NTP & PTP 시간 동기화 프로토콜은 IEEE1588 표준화 기술을 제공한다. 필드버스 프로토콜 및 컨버젼 모듈은 산업에서 주로 사용하는 프로토콜을 OPC로 변환하여 연결의 확장성을 제공한다. 데이터 전송 지연에 대한 저장기술 및 동기화 프로토콜은 데이터 전송 지연과 데이터의 손실에 대한 해결 기능을 제공한다. 제안된 스마트 팩토리 구축을 위한 프로토콜의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 시험기관에서 실험한 결과 응답시간은 0.1367ms, 동기시간은 0.404ms, 동시접속 수는 100개, 프로토콜의 연동개수 5개, 데이터 저장 및 동기화는 1,000노드로 세계최고 수준과 동일한 결과를 산출하였다.

We derive the detection and false alarm probability, and mean acquisition time mathematically by taking into account of multiple H$\_$l/ cells and double-dwell serial search. It is noteworthy that the more the number of the post-detection integration, the shorter the mean acquisition time in low SNR.

The use of the Web-based Simulation Environment (WBSE) provides a strong influence on supply chain simulations. A virtual supply chain simulation is available to evaluate strategies for reducing response time to customers and for shrinking the finished goods inventory along its supply chain. This paper presents the basic concepts and definitions of Web-Based Global Supply Chain Management (WBGSCM) simulation system. It also discusses the advantages of supply chain simulation modules integration. A Time Synchronization Mechanism (TSM) called Phased Bucket Scheme (PBS) is introduced as an approach of the distributed simulation modules integration.

In the existing distribution automation system, the database is managed by each distribution office. But there is a high possibility to happened a problem during a fault processing because the representation of the connection switches between distribution offices are complicated. In addition, if a distribution office will be going to collapse due to disaster, for example, a big fire or earthquake, its own database may be lost. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to have a structure of an integrated database management from an integration center to under the distribution office. To do this, the integration center must store and manage it as the database using the own office code.
