공기주입과 스와빙 피그를 이용한 상수관로 세척 효과 평가 (An assessment of the effect of air scouring and swabbing pig cleaning technique on water distribution pipes)

  • Deposits discharged through the cleaning mainly were cement mortar, bitumen paintings and rust pieces, and fragments of perforation, stones and gravels. Deposits were more removed through swabbing pig cleaning rather than air scouring cleaning on the whole. However, air scouring cleaning were not influenced by the constraint conditions such as a change in the diameter or the presence of the valve in water mains compare to swabbing pig cleaning. So, it was thought that air scouring cleaning might be more favorable to water distribution network cleaning in the future. After the cleaning, water quality including residual chlorine and turbidity also was improved because of the removal of a significant amount of the deposits. Therefore, if the cleaning is continuously and regularly implemented in water mains, it is expected that it will help to recover the reliability and to preserve the health of water quality.

불활화 Aujeszky’s disease virus 항원의 자돈과 실험동물에서의 면역반응 (Immune Responses in Swine and Experimental Animals Given Inactivated Aujeszky’s Disease Virus Antigens)

  • We have studied about the safety, immunity and protective potency in swine and experimental am mais of two inactivated vaccine produced with NYJ-1-87 strain of ADV that was isolated in Korea. Result obtained through the experiments were summarized as follows. 1. The safe potency of ADV antigens inactivated with BEI and formaline to mouse & guinea pig was on the whole good, but protective potency rates of those to challenge with ADV were 60-75% without the differences to two antigens. 2. Safety, immunity & protective potency of ADV antigens inactivated with BEI and formaline to swine were on the whole excellent, except for a mild increase of rectal temperature in some pigs after challenge with ADV. 3. When virus excretion of the experimental groups after challenge with ADV was examed by swabbing of nasal, all pigs of control gorup excreted virus from 2 days p.c., partially to 10 days p.c.. But in vaccinated groups, only 25-50% of all pigs of each group excreted virus during experimental periods. 4. Titers of antibodies in swine & quinea pig vaccinated with inactivated ADV antigens become increased after the 1 weeth p.i. showing the highest liters on the 4-5 weeths p.i.

돼지 도축공정 중의 미생물 증감 추이 (Incidence of Microorganisms during Slaughtering Process of Pig)

  • 본 연구는 돼지 도축 규모 및 계절별로 도축단계에 따른 미생물 오염도와 변화를 조사하기 위하여 수행하였다. 도축 5단계 즉, 내장적출 전, 내장적출 후, 최종세척 전, 최종세척 후 그리고 냉장실에서 돼지 도체 복부 표면에 대한 미생물 오염도를 조사하기 위하여 가로 세로 10×10 cm의 면적에 대하여 swab 방법으로 시료를 채취하였다. 그 결과 가을철 시료의 경우 소규모 도축장의 일반세균수는 모든 도축공정에서 10⁴∼10/sup 5/ CFU/㎠로서 10²∼10³ CFU/㎠의 균수를 보인 대규모 도축장에 비하여 높은 경향을 보였고, 냉장실 시료의 경우 대규모 도축장에 있어서 일반세균수가 10² CFU/㎠ 수준으로 10⁴ CFU/㎠ 수준값을 보여준 소규모 도축장과 일반세균수의 값에 있어서 큰 차이를 보였다. 겨울철 시료와 봄시료에 있어서도 가을 시료와 마찬가지로 대규모 도축장은 모든 도축공정에서 중소규모 도축장에 비하여 적은 미생물수준을 보였으나, 봄 시료의 경우 최종세척 전(10⁴ CFU/㎠)과 냉장실(10³ CFU/㎠)의 미생물수에 있어서는 도축장 규모에 따른 차이를 보여주지 않았다. 최종 세척 공정의 시료 채취 부위에 따른 세척 효과를 보기 위한 실험에서 둔부 및 복부 부위에서는 세척 효과를 보였지만, 턱 부위에서는 오히려 세척 후 미생물 수가 최종세척 전 단계보다 증가하는 경향을 보였다.
