  • In these days sun products are developed and produced by the cosmetic scientists in the world. Peoples need strongly to protect themselves from the hazardous UV rays dued to the destruction of ozone layer. Therfore, we, cosmetic scientists must have an effort to produce the more effective goods. In this article the market survey of sun-products as well as the currency of sunscreen agents was investigated. It was found that Benzophenone - 3 and Ocytyl methoxy cinnamate were widely used. The lotions, using Benzophenone - 3 as the chemical agents, and TiO$_2$and micro TiO$_2$ as the physical agents, were measured the UV-Spectrum in the Dilution and Application method. Photoprotective activity of chemical agents can usually be measured in solution state. However, that of the insoluble physical agents such as TiO$_2$is hardly measured in this state. Photoprotective ability of the insoluble physical agents was able to be measured by application of lotions to the surface of UV cells. It was found by this method that micro TiO$_2$showd stronger UV scattering effect than TiO$_2$in this method.

  • This paper is to analyze and provide some managerial requirements for the successful implementation of total productive maintenance system. It tries to identify determining factors for success and reasons for the failures of TPM, based on the research of a survey and an empirical study through the years in Korea. The findings are such that many companies have not been engaged in planning and control the maintenance cost and their maintenance activities are not organized systematically. However, many indicators show that the number of finns which try to introduce and implement TPM is getting increased. The successful implementation of TPM depends largely on how top management perceives TPM and how the firm responds In the changes of organization and of the role of workers to adapt this new concept of work. It is required that TPM is perceived as a means to achieve the firm's business objectives. It is recommended that each company constructs and develops its own model and procedures to drive the effort for TPM implementation.

  • It is rare that the dwelling buildings designated as cultural assets owing to the demands of the rapid-changing times and their residences are conserved as their original shapes, though the extent varies. Meanwhile, there has been a continuous effort to preserve and take over our traditional dwelling culture. Yet, the effects were not tangible because the viewpoints are different between the conservation promoters and related residents-officials-experts and because the conservation method is not decided in advance. Thus, in conserving the traditional dwelling culture containing the history of human life, this study tries to find out the reasonable ways for conserving traditional residence based on the consciousness research of citizens on conserving and utilizing the cultural assets. Furthermore this study also tries to suggest to contemporaries - who should live side by side with the historic cultural assets - what attitude they should have. On the basis of above survey, the objective of this study is said to consist in presenting the directions - what efforts are needed - for the more active and participant conservation.

  • Food Self-sufficiency rate in Korea was 26.4 percent in 1996. It include $89.9{\%}$ for rice, $99.6{\%}$ for root and tuber crops, and $73.5{\%}$ for barley. To make things worse, self-sufficiency for wheat and corn were far less than 1 percent. As food is considered as weapon, every effort should be given to increase the self-sufficiency. In order to cope with expected food crisis, we suggest wheat and barley be grown in winter period, where there is climate fit. The aim of this paper is to survey systematically the status of food supply and demand of wheat and barley and to encourage farmers make double cropping systems with better stability in yield and economic return.
