  • Shaving shear-welding is a solid-state welding process, which utilizes plastic deformation of surplus material. The solid-state nature of this process contributes to high integrity and strength of the weld. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of process variables on the material flow patterns and identify the process condition for obtaining the best weld. FEM simulations were carried out along with experimental characterizations. The results showed the importance of the cutter angles and the overlap lengths, and helped attain the optimum shaving shear-welding die and the best process condition.

  • Currently, the structural material, namely glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) is focused on innovative structure due to lightness, excellent workability and noncorrosive characteristics, etc. However, the lack of GFRP connection technology produces only an imitation of steel and wood structures. This uses univentive design principles as well as unsuitable material applications, causes tons of surplus of materials to be wasted, and results in uneconomical structures, because the characteristics between steel and GFRP are completely different. Thus, this research develops the new, innovative GFRP connection system with considerations of the characteristics of GFRP and adopts it to a mobile und modular membrane pavilion.

  • This study is to evaluate the physical and mechanical characteristics of flowable backfill and search for the optimal mixture contents of it used for constructing underground power utilities. flowable backfill is known as soil-cement slurry, void fill, and controlled low-strength material(CLSM). The benefits of CLSM include reduced equipment costs, faster construction, re-excavation in the future, and the ability to place material in confined spaces such as narrow parts nearly impossible for compaction or perimeter of underground power cables. The flowable slurry mixture made with 9 types of soil and 6 types of accelerated mixtures in the laboratory were evaluated for bleeding, flowability, heat resistance, and unconfined compressive strength to meet the aim values of this study.

  • This study divided hospital management performance as surplus and deficit, Liquidity, Growth, Turnover Ratios, Productivity, Operating Expense, Patient Care Performance and evaluate the relationship between profitability. In addition to providing a useful basis for seeking profitability and effective management measures based on the findings of the hospital has its purpose. The study period was 2013 to identify the hospital's financial performance as evaluation criteria, were selected for a total of 147 hospitals surveyed. In conclusion, the more profitable medical and hospital financial performance, results showed a higher rate. In addition to the factors affecting the profitability of the Salaries, Administrative Expenses, Material Costs was a major factor. To to enhance the future profitability of hospital care it is also important to increase revenue, but Salaries, the cost reduction-effective strategy for reducing Administrative Expenses may be required.

  • In the case of underground power utilities pipe such as circular pipe, the most difficult problem is low compaction efficiency of the bottom of pipe inducing the failure of utilities. To overcome this problem, various studies have been performed and one of these is CLSM(Controlled Low Strength Materials) accelerated flow ability. But underground power utilities pipe backfill materials is also needed to have good thermal property that can dissipate the heat as rapidly as it is generated. So, in this study, we performed thermal resistancy test for various materials such as sand, weathered soil, clay and mixed soil to analyze the thermal characteristics of CLSM(Controlled Low Strength Materials) with accelerated flow ability for various conditions(water content, unit weight, void ratio, curing time) and to evaluate the applicability for backfill material of underground power utilities pipe. The test results of 16 specimens for thermal resistancy test showed good thermal property that maintained below $85^{\circ}C\;cm/W$.

  • We investigated the influence of the indium content on the threshold voltage ($V_{th}$) shift of sol-gel-derived indium-gallium-zinc oxide (IGZO) thin film transistors (TFTs). Surplus indium composition ratio into IGZO decreases the value of $V_{th}$ of IGZO TFTs showed huge $V_{th}$ shift in the negative direction. $V_{th}$ shift decreases from 10 to -28.2V as Indium composition ratio is increased. Because the free electron density is increased according to variation of the Indium composition ratio.

  • L- arabinose residues are widely distributed in plant cell walls, where they are present in polymers such as arabinans, arabinoxylans, arabinogalactans and arabinogalactan proteins. L-arabinose suppress intestinal sucrase and decrease the adsorption of sugar in the small intestine, consequently, weight loss and fatness prevent. Now, xylose be used replacement sugar and arabinose be utilized fatness prevent of our time. Various Agricultural surplus like com fiber, contain $20\;{\sim}\;40%$ of hemicellulose. Corn fiber from Agricultural Renewable Biomass was chosen the best suitable material for arabinose production. In this work, we searched about for L-arabinose gene in compost, metagenome pool and indonesian soil. So, the B1029 TS2-8 of L-arabinase gene in compost was selected by YNB media(5% yeast nitrogen base, 5% arabinogalactan). After enzyme reaction with corn fiver, B1029 TS2-8 produced 2.15 g/L of L-arabonose.

  • High oil price and biodiesel expansion lead the surplus of glycerol in the market. Glycerol has been used as a raw material itself at petroleum chemistry, paint, tobacco, household products and cosmetics in the conventional market. Recently, many research to find new applications of glycerol as a low-cost feedstock for functional derivatives have led to the introduction of a number of selective processes for converting glycerol into commercially value-added products. The recent studies on the development of new value-added glycerol derivatives will be reviewed.

  • The MiDF Cement Composite is a high-performance construction material with low defects that dehydrates surplus water through pressurization and minimizes air gap between particles. In other words, the performance expression of the MiDF cement complex is affected by pressurized conditions. Thus, this study analyzed the physical characteristics of MiDF cement complex according to the power and pressure of the ga-power and the time of application and intends to use it as a basic data for optimal mixing.
